thinking about El growing closer with both of her brothers is something that is so important to me
obviously her and Will are close, Will is super protective of her already in canon (to the point of putting her happiness before his but that's for another post) but thinking about them being SIBLING siblings makes me so emo like. El randomly barges into his room just to stand there for a few seconds then leave. when it's her turn to set the table she puts five spoons at his place and nothing else. she always points at random shit like a bug in the windowsill and says "Will that's you". she's a lot more outwardly strange than him but make no mistake, Will might be sweet and quiet but when he does speak up sometimes he'll say something that shocks people who aren't prepared for it, so he can absolutely keep up with her silliness!!!! when she stands in his room for a few seconds he just watches her with equal silence like it's perfectly normal. he eats his dinner with all five spoons no matter what food it is. he points to the spider in the corner of the windowsill and says "okay well that's you" and she shoves his shoulder but she's laughing and that's all that matters to him <3
as for Jonathan, I think El latched onto him pretty quickly but he didn't really know what to do with that at first. like he's used to being parental to Will, but Will and El are very different, and he's a little unsure how to bond with her, especially with how distant he'd gotten (to everyone, not just her) bc of his own problems when we see them at the beginning of s4 :( he tries to show her music but she doesn't react much to it so he thinks it went badly (meanwhile in her head she's like Jonathan Has Shown Me Kindness So I Will Now Murder For Him. it's the autism). one evening she randomly says "remember when I had a creature in my leg and you immediately grabbed a knife and cut it out" and he's just awkwardly like ".. I'm sorry" and she's like "no don't be it was very cool, thank you" like she sees him as this super brave protector, like she doesn't feel safe enough to sleep unless she knows he's home. when he realizes this, at first he insists that he's not that great and she's the one that's always protecting them, but realizes that it's because of how few people El has ever felt safe around, how many people (especially older male figures) have let her down catastrophically, and how before they were even siblings in their limited interactions Jonathan had done nothing but protect her, really - he has this revelation one night while smoking with Argyle, and when he gets home he pulls her into a big hug that she's confused by at first but then just melts into.

Who is the best TARDIS team?
TOURNAMENT MASTERPOST
propaganda under the cut
12, Clara, Missy
Imagine the 3 worst people you know, who are simultaneously exactly the same and completely different. The epitome of the "Wow These People Are So Weird, Thank God I'm the Normal One" meme. Now imagine putting them together in a box and shaking it around. It's so funny, I love them

Shadow is sick in my Sonic Unleashed: World Reimagined story. (I'm still trying to hammer out his design in general)
Because his health is connected to the chaos energy in the air that the Chaos Emeralds and Master Emerald pump out- once they're drained, Shadow becomes bedridden. He's still stubborn, and it's enough of an issue that Rouge and Omega have been given a secret assignment by GUN to keep Shadow from getting himself in danger.
As the Chaos Emeralds are being restored, Shadow gets less and less sick, with even the red on his quills/ fur returning to their natural bright red.
But, this is only the beginning of the journey, so he's stuck in his comfy blankets with a warm cup of way too concentrated coffee while watching cat video compilations.

the chb counselors would pull frank and hazel into their little group SO quickly once they meet them after the war
this is a group of people who remember little twelve year old percy walking around chb with the widest eyes and naïveté. they've heard his snarky comments, have seen him stand up to bullies, they watched him panic searching for his closest friends, they've witnessed his breakdowns and tears during the summers where he just couldn't do it anymore.
everyone else at the camp has a view of percy as another god, or as an untouchable being. they only see him for the hero he is, but they don't see the real him.
frank and hazel, however, got to see the real percy on their quest. they saw all his little quirks, heard every quip and sarcastic comment, watched him freak out over other demigods and legacies getting hurt, and they saw how percy is so much more than just a hero.
not saying that the rest of the seven wouldn't all be welcomed by the chb head counselors, but frank and hazel would immediately just click with all of them because of their connection to percy. there's a small group of people who know the true him, and they're part of that, and it just brings them into this little special group. they'd be invited to the sleepovers and told every single embarrassing story about percy while he just groans and attempts to commit murder by smothering clarisse with a pillow. frank and hazel would get introduced to sally and paul and just be immediately folded into their little family.
frank and clarisse would become an inseparable duo. hazel and chris would become so close, not just because their partners are siblings, but also i think they'd connect on their shared "being trapped somewhere for an unknown amount of time after being manipulated by someone i cared about" experiences. travis and connor would ADORE frank, i think for some reason pollux and hazel would get along really well. there would just be an automatic camaraderie between all of them so quickly.
yes, nico is the go-between for the camps, but i think frank and hazel would just automatically be so completely and utterly trusted by the entirety of camp half-blood purely because percy completely and utterly trusts them.

I personally like Thunder's prosthetic. Explained it to my friend (who does use a mobility device, a cane and wheelchair, and listens to me rant and infodump about BB) and they agreed, it's important to know that not every person needs what someone wants to give them. It's another example of "bad ableist person does a thing that hurts a disabled person because they are bad and ableist".
Clear Sky got Jagged Peak killed and would have killed Sunlit Frost! He would absolutely force his disabled son to be "normal" and present it like a privilege. "I wouldn't do this for anyone else, it's special, why don't you want to be helped?"
Thunder Storm should toss it in Clear Sky's face. (I would say toss it into the river but we do not pollute waterways in this house)
Thank you for telling me this, and tell your friend I'm thanking them too! If they have anything else to add please forward what they have to say
Since BB!DOTC tackles some of the heaviest topics in the entire series because its canon equivalent is so dark, I think very carefully about what I do here and how I show it. I take feedback on its sensitive aspects very seriously. If I'm understanding the criticism properly, it's that I should avoid stigmatizing prosthetics by making sure Thunder Storm's not the only one with it-- which he's not! And I'll add even more.
I don't want to avoid something only because it's uncomfortable if the topic is important, and my portrayal is respectful. Ableism IS uncomfortable! There are some situations where a prosthetic is not wanted! I think the rejection of this particular one is both a good opportunity to show a type of ableism and ALSO is very fitting for the characters.
In BB!Clear Sky's mind, the villain, he's fixing an old mistake. He can't admit that he got Jagged Peak killed or take REAL accountability for it (though he will, occasionally, apologize insincerely), but deep in his bones, he knows what he did was cruel. He'll never tell anyone this because he doesn't really cognate it himself, but Thunder Storm NEEDS to take his gift.
If Thunder doesn't take it, it blows a hole in his newest story. You see, throwing Jagged Peak out was All That Could Have Been Done back then. It was a Tragedy and he simply Made A Hard Choice. He regrets it very much, But You Have To Understand.
But now? Now? Well, behold. Look at what he's accomplished since the tragic death of his little brother. His cats are well-fed, cared for, and stable enough to make such incredible advancements. If only Jagged Peak had been able to hold on longer, if only he could be here now, I could fix him.
Just like I can (MAKE YOU JUST LIKE ME) fix you.
"Everything I've ever done is for Jagged Peak. For Fluttering Wing. For you." Thunder Sky is SPECIAL, but if he rejects any gift, tries to turn down the "privileges" offered to him, in an instant that becomes ungratefulness and arrogance. He both forces him to be special, and then leverages it against him if it's rejected. "Spoiled brat, doesn't appreciate what I've worked so hard to give him."
It all goes back to him and his own guilt. He can NEVER be wrong. He can't accept his family doesn't have to be "normal" or reflect his own ability. He won't see himself as a bully, let alone a murderer. It was never about his son's comfort or finding out what Thunder Storm wants or needs, it was about his own ego.
...All that said I'm still taking feedback if there's anything else I should keep in mind, or if anyone has a counter point, especially if you also have experience here.
(In the interest of having a link trail for posterity, here's the critique/call for feedback this is in response to)

something I really love about the Narnia movies is that all of the posters and film covers portray the Pevensies as incredibly serious and moody
when in reality they're four sarcastic beans who most of the time are arguing about silly things and who probably relish pranking each other a little too much

Here's a post on how Leo was able to fully heal for the final movie scene.
Oh YEAH. It is NOT scientifically inaccurate for him to be walking around so shortly after HELL.
("so shortly" standing for 7 to 12 months,, New York had the time to rebuild and they apparently spent this whole time pizzaless until the "grabbing a slice" scene with Casey Jr)
First of all, the guy has at least one concussion. A bAd one. That's two to four weeks for sure.
Pretty fvcked-up arm (I chose his right one, like Future Leo). That's three months in a cast.
Now, you know how turtles' shells are literally their ribcage? I figured breaking their plastron/shell would be similar to breaking ribs. And just as painful. But that's just a detail.
I'm not kidding, you ALL saw the Kraang punching his chest repeatedly full force. There's no way his plastron didn't give out, it caved in a bit.
So I'd say it did some inevitable damage to his lungs and heart. I picked temporary arrhythmia (it happens when there's an issue with the heart's tissue), that's like, really fast heartbeat at random times of the day for no reason. Tachycardia attacks feel like panic attacks, except it comes with chest pains and you can FEEL your heart going haywire.
And his shell didn't survive BREAKING CEMENT AND ROCKS either. It's a little less severe than his plastron, he'd definitely lose one or two scutes (they grow back... kinda. Just pretend he was about to shed anyways).
Turtle plastron and shell fractures might actually take three years to heal, BUT, he's a mutant, and human broken ribs would take about three months.
Let's just round it up to six months.
That would be at least one month before the ending scene.
Done!

"It's normal for siblings to fight" Okay well it's not normal to be extremely classist and look down on your sister for being non-conforming. Or to go to the woman who ordered the death of your pet to tell her about your father's plans, when he specifically warned you against doing so, because you want to marry the boy you saw attack your sister and her friend (contributing partially to said father's death and your sister being unable to escape on the ship he chartered). Or to think of your sibling as unsatisfactory in comparison to another when you believe her to be dead. I notice that none of the "Sansa and Arya are going to reunite and instantly have no issues" crowd ever acknowledge any of this, which makes it seem like they don't actually believe what they say about their relationship being normal and easily reconciled. People wanting them to have no issues simply because they're siblings is another example of how fandom likes to flatten complex characters and relationships. They get reduced to being bickering siblings when their conflict runs deeper than that. If the author is telling you that they have "deep issues" to work out [X], I don't understand being so adamant about ignoring said issues. I also get the sense it's about ignoring the capacity for a certain character to be flawed, but that isn't going to change the fact that her "slip of the tongue" is very likely to be revealed and a source of further conflict 🤷🏾♀️
