I haven't come out irl not even to my mom because though she wouldn't necessarily treat me bad- she would think I'm just confused and such and I just don't want to deal with that. (She's great in a lot of ways but this is not one of them)

So, I just want to say to whoever out there needs to hear it- you are valid whether you've come out or not. You deserve a safe space where you can be yourself. You are always welcome here on my blog.

I just wanted to stop by since I haven't been on tumblr in awhile. I miss reading your fics and I want to let you know how much I appreciate the fact you share your lovely writing and ideas. I've been trying to catch up with your newer fics, even though I'm not in the fandoms I still read because your writing is so good. I'm currently involved in a larger fandom where people can't seem to seperate fiction from reality, like the witchhunts have gotten so bad and it has completely discouraged me from sharing my ideas/writing out of fear (especially as a black female). I personally believe in freedom in writing, as it's just fiction. Like the point of fanfiction is to explore these kinds of dark topics, so I can't understand people who are purists and insist to harass writers instead of ignore the content they don't agree with. I don't know, but it sucks that fandom spaces have gotten to this point compared to how it was years ago.

I'm so sorry, you don't have to respond to this or anything but I just wanted to possibly get your thoughts/advice ♡

My biggest advice is to utilize the block and delete features as much as possible. A lot of times I see an annoying comment or rude anon and I simply just wont respond, delete or block that person. It's less about their beliefs and more about people feeling like they can do anything they want because it's over the internet and everyone is anonymous.

It hurt me a lot more when I was a newer writer and I spent all my time on tumblr and/or writing. What helps me is logging off and realizing this is not the real world at all. I get much more satisfaction in my real life interacting with family and friends than I ever will on here. The people irl who actually care about you are the only people's opinions who really matter.

I'm sorry you're feeling discouraged but I hope you continue to write because you deserve to take up space here!

My friends and family are too. I don't support (or even like) you, and this blog is a safe place for other people who are lgbtqia+ too.
