#there are a great many skills and crafts that do take time effort and whatnot to do decently well#i can verify that. i do SEVERAL myself#costume jewellery is not and will never be one of them#which is great because honestly more people should make things with their hands (if they have hands and those hands are functional)#it's good for the soul#the reverse of 'you're paying me far too much for this tbh'#is that it's probably the ONE thing that you can start doing for yourself for VERY little investment#have nice stuff almost immediately#and feel like a god for beating claire's at the own game

Buttercups and Golden Flowers
#i drew this mostly because i noticed that a lot of people mistake buttercups and golden flowers as being the same thing.#so i wanted to try drawing them like. distinctly different in the same image.#it's not a big thing but i do think the fact that they're different has some significance. or at least like. symbolic meaning.#my art#undertale#chara#chara dreemurr#safeutdr#something about the fact that they both look similar at least in color but one of them is poisonous.#the way golden flowers are clearly a positive symbol throughout the game and clearly heavily associated with Chara.#contrasted with the very negative connotations buttercups have. with asgore getting sick and chara using them in their plan.#you never see buttercups in the game. which makes it even easier to mistake the two. because we've only seen one kind of#golden/yellow flower. who's to say 'golden flowers' aren't just referring to buttercups? well.#why would there be golden flower tea if they were poisonous? why would chara want to see the golden flowers from their village if they're#the same kind of flower? they clearly have buttercups in the underground.#it feels almost intentional the way golden flowers are so easily mistaken for buttercups. or at least that the difference is so subtle.#it goes well with the way they're associated so strongly with chara who's also a very subtle yet important part of the narrative.#from a surface-level perspective the flowers that took their life and the one's they actually like/are important to them are the same thing#but when you pay closer attention to the narrative you can see the different symbolic meanings.#well. uhh I've thought about it too much don't mind me.#see i think about it from the perspective of chara being super adamant about them being two different flowers#and frustrated when anybody gets it wrong. because clearly. CLEARLY they're not the same.#'STOP confusing buttercups and golden flowers. i literally used buttercups to kill myself do you think i would still like them after that?'#'do you think i want to be associated with them? they're not the same!!'#<number one golden flower enjoyer number one buttercup hater.#i need a badge that says 'i have strong opinions about chara dreemurr because i kin them. i apologize for the wall of text' at this rate.

it's a pet peeve of mine when ppl frame Andrew as hating Aaron and being needlessly cruel to him... bc while yes, their relationship is fractured and strained, Andrew genuinely cares about his brother and wants the best for him, he just doesn't know how to show that in a normal way.
like he might not know how to express it in a healthy manner but Andrew LOVES Aaron, like he truly just wants Aaron to be healthy and safe. It's like, his whole Thing. Aaron is one of the most important people in his life. Andrew wants him around. He'd do anything to protect him.
I guarantee Andrew wants to be emotionally close to Aaron too, he just doesn't have the tools to do that and the thought of letting someone in terrifies him. He also has no concept of what a healthy sibling relationship looks like, so he has no frame of reference to work from.
#i love bickering twinyards as much as the next guy but sometimes ppl write andrew has if he thinks aaron is a waste of space#and that just isn't true#andrew values his brother#he wouldn't insist on keeping aaron close if he didn't#when ppl do this is just so obvious to me that they're using andrew as a mouthpiece for their own dislike of aaron#and like ok yeah you're entitled to not like a character i guess#but it's just so wildly out of character to me for andrew to treat aaron like shit for no reason beyond Being Cruel#like yeah andrew can be mean when he's feeling defensive or trying to make a point#and yeah he can treat people like shit if he's got a reason to justify it like Keeping People Safe#but he's not needlessly cruel to the people closest to him without cause#like neil says#everything andrew does#he does For A Reason#even neil isn't needlessly mean to aaron tbh#like he doesn't like aaron much at certain points but if he picks a fight with aaron it's never without cause#and he's genuinely happy for aaron when things work out with katelyn in the end#and he wants aaron to have a relationship with andrew as well! like it's important to neil that the twins have a healthy bond!!#anyway im getting off my soapbox now this is just something i was thinking about today a Lot#aftg#all for the game#the foxhole court

is anyone else feeling like the married / loving vibes have been intensifying exponentially in all the dapg videos since slime came out or is that just me?? like dnp have always been cute but there's something about the way they've been interacting in this post-slime universe - the lightness the happiness the way they've been looking at each other - that's almost hard to watch because i feel like i'm witnessing something extremely precious and loved and dear to them, a subtle side of their relationship that was JUST out of sight before this. there have been moments between them in recent videos that have not only made me go "omg haha so married", they've made ME feel giddy / butterflies in my stomach. me, the third party witness, who's not even involved. it's just so STRONG. please tell me someone else understands what i'm saying
