And the sun is setting so sweetly this evening
Summary: tucker and tsv go on a date where they just sit and watch the sunset and chat
Pairings: tsv/tucker
Rating: T
A/N: tsv is called tyler in this fic as he is in all my other fics and this fic was actually intended to be writing practice but I gave up at the end and made it a bit silly. This takes place after the sun comes back
"Wow..."
Tyler stands next to Tucker slack jawed at the beautiful sight before him. The sun was setting behind the mountains painting the sky all different shades of orange, yellow, and purple. Violet streaks of rain from a passing storm fell in the distance. "Do you like it?"
"Why wouldn't I? It's gorgeous"
Tucker smiles "good. I wasn't sure if a sunset was the right way to go. Thought it would be too cheesy"
Tyler lays a blanket on the grass and sits "Well I like cheesy"
Tucker smiles and sits down next to him "you know it's funny I really never thought I'd see it again"
Ty rests his head on Tucker's shoulder "The sun? Yeah me neither"
A cool breeze moves over the meadow and Tucker turns on some music.
"Did you make a playlist just for this?" Tyler asks "maybe" Tucker smiles.
Tyler grins and kisses him on the cheek " I love you"
Tucker beams "I love you too, sunshine"
Ty blinks "...did you just call me sunshine?"
"Yeah"
"It's cute. I like it... madjoy"
"Really? Thats all you could come up with?"
Tyler rolls his eyes "well it was either that or leafboy"
"LEAFBOY???" Tucker says exasperated
Ty laughs "yeah! Unless you want me to call you daddy~"
"Uh n-no!" Tucker stammers "at least- not here"
"Not here? So you'll let me do it anywhere else then?" Tyler says with a smirk
Tucker nudges him playfully "oh shut up"
Tyler laughs "Ok ok how about... sunleaf"
Tucker rolls his eyes "ok now that's just a warrior cats name"
"The fact you know the naming system of those books"
"The fact you know what im talking about" Tucker laughs
The sun sets further below the horizon and the sky fades slowly from oranges and yellows to purples and blues.
"I'm glad you're here with me" Tyler whispers and Tucker smiles "me too"

Awoken Headcanons
note: this is mostly based on my own audacity rather than actual lore. 🤫
-
Earthborn and Awoken Guardians are like the book versions of LotR elves, while Reefborn are like the movie versions. They're actually similar, but to outsiders, Earthborn are friendly and full of life while Reefborn are aloof and elegant like their queen. This perception, though frustrating to people like Petra, generally works in Mara's favor so she allows it to continue.
Awoken Speech sounds more like creole than a separate language. This is due to the multitude of languages spoken aboard the Yang Liwei, which then carried over into the dialects in the Distributary. Although some argue Speech is a mixed language rather than creole, consensus from both the Gensym Scribes and Last City's Cryptarchy has not yet been reached.
Portmanteau examples:
daatma (ดาว/"dāw" + आत्मा/"ātman"): Awoken [older gen]
tulatma (tulay + आत्मा/"ātman"): Awoken [younger gen]
luxïn (luz + 星/"xīng"): starlight
noyam (noyer + يوم/"yawm"): Darkness
Traditional Awoken names usually sound "soft," with palatalized consonants and several vowels. The most common ending letters are "A" (Mara, Petra, Amrita) and "N" (Uldren, Jolyon, Nasan), while the most uncommon letter is "K" (Tulnik).
Most Reefborn are highly superstitious, due to the environment they grew up in. However they don't consider themselves superstitious, as it is only "practical" to refer to The Dreaming using epithets instead of names, or to look for omens in dreams, or to treat water and reflections as near-sacred, and so on.
Promises and vows / oaths are generally a life-long ordeal for Awoken, especially for Reefborn and especially if they are made to Mara. This is partly influenced by the post-Distributary riots, partly influenced by contracts with Ahamkara, and partly influenced by Mara's own charisma, which has created an almost religious devotion* amongst her followers.
*(Embarrassingly, when Calus sought to imitate this sense of devotion to lure Awoken Guardians to the Menagerie, he was partially successful.)
Balance is an important part of Awoken culture. Past and future and life and death are strongly emphasized by Reefborn, while Earthborn have integrated Old Earth philosophies like yin-yang and wabi-sabi. While Awoken Guardians tend to be less ardent about balance and/or a desire for it, there are noticeably less Awoken within the Praxic Order than in other Vanguard-affiliated organizations.
The Awoken don't believe in a physical afterlife, only the Unreal. This makes the existence of Awoken Guardians egregious to other Awoken, as they do not "return" from death, but rather "take form" of people who no longer exist. Even so, Guardians (or "Noble Dead") are still treated with respect - out of love for the ones they look like, and fear of the entities they are.
(Awoken don't believe in reincarnation either, as The Awakening is considered an "extraordinary" circumstance.)
Contrary to popular belief, male Awoken aren't ostracized in Reefborn society, and they aren't considered second-class citizens either. Even so, due to the 70/30 split [which has persisted since the Distributary], it is rare to see male Reefborn in high-level positions or as Techeuns. The perceived lack of opportunity has led to an increase in Reefborn emigrants in recent years, especially after the Battle of Saturn.
Due to the loss of resources and difficulties of growing food in the Reef, Reefborn dishes are "bland" compared to Earthborn ones. The most common seasonings are salt, cold-hardy herbs like mint, and corasteri (a star-shaped culinary variant of asphodelia). However, Reefborn food is both warming and filling, which is suited to a life in deep space.
The Dreaming City is surprisingly bare in terms of flora and fauna. Aside from pink asphodelia, queensfoil, baryon bough and memorial trees - most of which are cultivated - there are very few plants to be found. Spectral butterflies and non-native jewel bugs can be found in gardens and lost sectors, and starcats have free rein of the buildings, but there is no urban wildlife like in the Last City and Earth's metropolitan ruins. The vibrance is an illusion; it is as empty as the Reef's biodomes.
Earthborn do not live as long as their Reefborn counterparts; higher oxygen levels, increased gravity, and larger amounts of pollution make life more difficult for people adapted to space. Ironically, this is the inverse issue the Awoken faced when leaving the Distributary.
Awoken anatomy is uncanny if you look closely enough. Most traits fall within expectations (eg resistance to radiation, increased reaction time) but adaptations like tapetum lucidum can still startle people who aren't used to seeing them. Experimental traits, which are common in later-generation Reefborn, make some seem entirely inhuman. And the ability to track Guardians by their Light will never not be creepy.
Experimental traits include but aren't limited to: pointed ears; nictitating membranes (i.e. "third eyelids"); and genital slits [for Awoken specifically created for deep space missions].
Due to a history of bio-engineering, cybernetic augments are seen as unnecessary and rarely utilized outside of eutechs, and later, Techeuns. Fully robotic components, such as exo frames, are practically unheard of and often met with pity or revulsion.
The 891 are forbidden from seeking information about their lives from The Time Before (aka pre-Collapse lives), as it is considered a "distraction" from Mara's plan. Descendant Awoken are also discouraged from pursuing such info unless it is considered pertinent to their mission.
Queenslaw has been partially lifted in the Reef, due to the influx of Guardians after the Battle of Saturn. Many things once considered illegal or taboo are now acceptable, and some things are even encouraged. Unfortunately, not everyone agrees with these "sudden" changes and it has done little to reduce tensions between factions, most notably the Gensym Scribes and the Last City's Cryptarchy.
-
Reefborn sobriquets often refer to relationships (Uldren "Queensbrother," Taranis "Rivensmate," Petra "Covensdaughter"). Earthborn nicknames are often more individualized but still invoke a sense of interconnectedness (eg "Swornsister" Takara, Avraam "Firstborn").
Although the Awoken are known for their music (for ceremonies, parties, mourning, etc.) Earth-derived music seems just as violent to them as the Guardians who enjoy it. Knowing this, RZ-3 intentionally made a playlist to "scare" Petra on missions, and has successfully startled several Corsairs by belting out the lyrics to "Teenagers" while doing patrols.
-
[official grimoire / lore books: The Maraid (D1); Marasenna, The Awoken of the Reef, The Dreaming City (D2, general); The Forsaken Prince, A Tangled Web, Ripples (D2, Uldren/Crow), Ecdysis (D2, the Emissary)]
[specific lore that Tickles My Brain: "Holdfast Bond," "The Supremacy", "Third Gift"; "Crow's Best Night"]

Spider-Man canon: a decent number of villains tend to have some kind of connection or relationship with Peter before becoming a villain. With very few exceptions to this “rule”.
Acedia: Like.. pretty much no one has any connection to her before becoming a “villain”, aside from 1 friend who becomes her version of Venom.. but they’re extremely chill and don’t really count as a villain? and maybe Connors if you squint (she visits him seeking help from him before he turns, but he’s also not really a villain.. so idk)
I just really like the idea of a world opening up to Acedia after getting her powers and trying to help people like she’s always wanted to do even despite her debilitating anxieties she is constantly fighting every day. So instead of the world trying to close on Peter.. it’s opening up for Acedia. gaining new people in her life, seeing new things, having new experiences, etc.

“Hey, baby, I’m home!” Eddie greets before the smile falls off his face as he takes in the way Steve is seated on the couch, looking pale and shaken, phone gripped tight in his hand.
“Baby?” Eddie hurries over to him, gently tugging his phone free and setting it down on the coffee table. He takes Steve’s hand and cups his cheek, the skin wet from tears. “Sweetheart, what’s wrong?”
Steve looks up at Eddie, letting out a choked sob, falling into his arms.
Eddie feels helpless, confused. He rubs Steve’s back and holds him tight, kisses the side of his head.
“Baby, you’re scaring me. Please talk to me,” Eddie begs.
“That- that was the doctor… My test results came back…”
Eddie pales, tears springing to his eyes.
No. Please no.

— alliances, part I.
Been meaning to delve into stuff like this for a while, but there's just a lot to unpack for a character like her. She holds a lot of knowledge pre-skip most others do not by virtue of her role in the game and her motivations. This is mainly going to be about Edelgard's complexity and views on the Agarthans. Mainly in terms of her knowledge, her reactions and thoughts, and how/why she forms a firm line between her army and their own.
She tends to foreshadow a lot in her speech pre-skip (mainly because she knows what's going to happen and all that), which is seen in some of the quotes I highlighted. Going to make some general bullet points, though.
Crest Stones: They've been seen already as being able to turn people into crest beasts, so Edelgard knowing this isn't strange. As such, she'll talk about it because there is both no point in hiding what's been seen/she hopes those who do see it will come to their own conclusions as to what they want to do with that information. She isn't interested in getting non-Fódlan people intertwined with her personal affairs. Them knowing this information won't influence her actions, but she can use it to deduce them as people. The war will be hers to fight, regardless. The crest stones are also substantial as far as the Heroes Relics themselves go, seeing as the two tend to go hand-in-hand. Aymr has one like the others. She's open about her disdain towards crests/the weaponry that propels said crests. In-game text also infers she already knows this prior to the general Black Eagle (in CF/SS's case) populace discovering it, like in chapter 5 when they see Miklan turn into one.
"Such is the fate of one whose life is corrupted by a Crest Stone... How pitiable. The least we can do is put an end to his suffering." "Right or wrong, he was a gifted leader. He could have been a great asset to Fódlan. What a waste."
Unlike others' words in this scene, Edelgard's reaction is more subdued/implying this fate was unavoidable for him given what he was doing and she expected it. She knows before most that a person wielding a relic who isn't compatible with its crest will result in beasts. She calls it 'pitiable' not out of malice. A person's worth should not be dictated by whether or not they have a crest.
The Heroes' Relics: Fódlan history has the legendary weapons written down as things to be revered, used by the Ten Elites as gifts from the goddess. The Agarthans would know this isn't true because their kind was literally there and it's part of the reason for their forged alliance with Edelgard/the Empire in the first place. They as a whole do not tell her everything because there is emphasis in text numerous times how their factions are separate and the alliance will be broken once their mutual goal is achieved. Also, why would they reveal their entire hand to her? They wouldn't. Edelgard absolutely keeps a number of secrets, herself. It's an alliance forged on mutual needs, not trust. She's very smart and additionally comes to make her own inferences both due to her personal knowledge as well as her thoughts. In-game, when you visit the Red Canyon and Edelgard ponders its architecture, you can gain support points if you tell her that you think "a culture long since perished" used to live there. To which she replies:
"Heh, it's possible they weren't even human. Hmm, perhaps their remnants still influence this world."
She wouldn't say this if she had no reason for thinking that. Furthermore, Edelgard isn't the type to immediately believe everything she might hear from others. Let alone from a group she despises and can disguise themselves as her family (literally. See Arundel/Thales). She needs probable cause to believe it, hence why she examines what she receives. But I do think she also knows what the heroes relics are made of. The bones stuff. Another thing that makes me like to believe she knows this is just the way her army speaks about 'crest stones/bones' in the Holy Tomb. She is also the Imperial Princess and next Emperor, so it's not illogical for her to hold at least some knowledge others do not in the event it comes up and someone goes. How do you know this lol.
Herself: A weird point lmao, but the truth of what they did to her/her siblings is covered up both by them but also the empire itself. A 'plague' etc etc. If someone says that to her, she won't correct it because she doesn't want to talk about it, but she'll just silently grit her teeth together. She's never told anyone at present that she has a second crest, let alone the Crest of Flames. She loathes thinking about it nor does she care to share that with anyone (minus like. Hubert who is her close vassal but he canonically knows what she's been through and she trusts him). Her Crest of Seiros is public knowledge, though. But the fact that she and her family were taken under the palace with the primary goal of giving them the Crest of Flames is kept hushed. When she does choose to share it, she speaks with passion. See her C+ support with Byleth.
"I know how it all sounds. But when you see my true strength, you will know I speak the truth. I have kept it hidden all this time, but.. I will reveal to you the power of my second Crest. It is the same as yours.. the Crest of Flames. When it manifested for me, I swore a silent oath. For the sake of my family and for all the poor souls whose lives were traded for my existence. For their sake, I will build a world where such meaningless sacrifice is never again sanctioned. As emperor, I will change the world. I swear it."
Seeing as TWSITD obviously know this, I think they could also use it as leverage against her. Three Hopes shows this, but houses wise, there's always the looming threat of 'If you go against us, you will pay etc etc.' Her motives stem from this event- From the goddess not answering her pleas and everyone around her dying just for her to get more power. She muses about this often, hence the nightmares from it. It was not Edelgard specifically they sought at the time. Not until the crest manifested. A number of her siblings didn't even bear the Crest of Seiros. I feel like it's important too because this memory shows how she doesn't like working with them due to this pain they've caused but feels she must because she needs their power to usurp the church. This, coupled with how unsettled she feels each time they take the guise of someone she knows, compels her to stay her hand.
Aymr: It's first heavily implied in houses that this was made specifically for Edelgard by the Agarthans because it takes Agarthium to repair if you break it. Like I mentioned earlier, she knows what kind of weapon it is. Nobody ever questions her having this though because it just appears like any other heroes' relic, despite the empire generally lacking in them compared to the kingdom and alliance. She has Labraunda in 3 Hopes because she severed ties with them earlier than in houses. Plus like. When we do see her wield Aymr in Hopes at a point, Thales is with her. Aymr is a strong axe that allows her to channel her power and aid in her quest forward. It's not a 'gift' given as a peace offering or to satisfy her, but to satisfy their own needs. She is a weapon. If Edelgard is strong enough to take down the church, they are ever-closer to what they want. The axe is a way to destroy anyone who stands in her way.
They have also "given" her the Crest of Flames, but that ties back to what I wrote earlier about it coupled with the 'weapon' bit. She hates having 2 crests and doesn't want to become a puppet emperor like her father. It's talked about how having 2 is a heavy strain on one's body and shortens a person's lifespan, so this would apply to Edelgard as well. This lack of time is a strong motivator for her quick actions- Both on her end and the desire to not wait around anymore. But also, using the power of those 2 crests is daunting and strenuous. Edelgard is a proponent of people using their own power to cut a path forward, but given how she feels the people of Fódlan are blinded to the truth, she uses these abilities she has in order to force them to understand. If she does not, she feels the cycle won't end. She's strongly devoted to this goal and explicitly states it plenty of times.
The Flame Emperor: That is her own persona she uses pre-skip to protect her identity as she sorts out her plans, but the attire itself is from the Agarthans seeing the extensive technology and stuff. She's able to mask her voice with it, too. Until she can declare war, she must set her devices and act anonymously. Even when she does happen to speak to other people as FE, she does so declaratively. It's the truth she urges those to know.
After we see Kronya in-game, Edelgard will only speak to Kronya/Thales/etc in her Flame Emperor outfit if they are not using their 'disguises.' This is because Edelgard standing in plain sight with them is just. A red flag lol. I think it bothers her when they use those visages, and not just solely because it increases her distrust levels. Arundel was her uncle, someone she had went to the Kingdom with at one point in time. Pre-skip in houses, she does fight them at moments with her classmates when the times called for it.
Kronya: "Huh? What are you— Are you here to kill me?" Edelgard: "I am. Prepare yourself for death while you still can."
Which still stands now. There is the fact that Edelgard knows what she is doing. Whenever she decides to dispose of TWSITD members prematurely, she needs to act cautiously. Even so, in certain circumstances, it's not only what is expected of her but also what she needs to do. She is cutting a divide between the Flame Emperor army and the Agarthans'. At least, from their perspectives. She wants to rid the Church of its power & system they've upheld for ages, but she also needs to dispose of TWSITD. Allowing them to fester is not completing her life's goals. It's a second war. TWSITD are the ones who caused the two-crest experimentation, controlling the empire from the shadows, etc. Her plans of war are already brewing when she enters the academy. She knows people will be surprised- Perhaps even hate her. If they flee to their home countries, that is all for the better. They don't need to get involved.
That being said, there's of course the sheer fact that they're providing her with extra military strength. Since they know her plans of war. This is obvious enough in houses, emphasized in hopes in her support with Hubert when she says "Besides, after breaking ties with him and his allies, we lacked the military capability to carry out an operation on such a scale." This is post-skip in Hopes so I don't want to deep-dive it rn, but the Agarthans hold a strength the Empire alone does not possess even pre-skip (which is why I included it mainly lol, just to show it's a thing). It is why she keeps her ties with them at the moment because not only is fighting against 2 armies at once difficult, but unreasonable to her at present. She loathes complicity, but she is super determined for this goal of a higher cause.
This alliance is made aware of by far and few in-between. She has no plans on telling anyone about it who doesn't already know. While I think she has the most correspondence with the group's leaders, it doesn't really matter who tells her what so I'm leaving it vague on purpose to allow for plenty of wiggle room. Their faction is bigger than even Edelgard knows, anyways. She doesn't know where they hide out nor even who they all are. She is around so many faces all the time, them included, but she must continue on in order to achieve results.

teacher steve headcanons <3
i see him as a history teacher but he doesn't teach out the textbook. he is very open about the truth & it's definitely because he's been involved in 4 government coverups by the age of 19
he's one of those cool teachers who you can joke around with. his students roast him and he roast his students and it's all love
his personal life is a secret to his students, he definitely has pictures of his family (his found family) but no one can tell how anyone is related. robin is in majority of the pictures & no one believes him when he says she isnt his wife.
he teaches middle school & he's also the coach for the boys basketball team
when steve decorate his classroom, robin offered no help and a million comments ("no one wants to stare at a creepy picture of john quincy adams while they're sharpening their pencil, dingus." "well where do you suggest i put it" "in the trash perhaps.")
he would do a ton of projects in his class & limit the amount of tests and quizzes to the absolute minimum he has to
if he did teach high school then his classroom would always have the upperclassmen students who hang out during their free period.

Ok, but you haven't rewritten Soy Luna (yet...), so you can't give out any spoilers there! So!
If you would rewrite Soy Luna, what would you change with the individual characters? Like, "I would write this character like this instead".
Now, this is only how I feel in the heat of the moment, and also it might not be all the characters. Just the ones I think about.
Also, edit, this was really hard without talking about how I'd change a bunch of storylines. Cause this would be focused on the characters more, but they'd also change in storylines.
Luna: I think I'd make her more focused on friendship than romance. She already is in the show, but almost everyone in the show is pushing her to date boys all the time. She can't mention a boy without people asking if she has a crush. She'll still have a romantic plot, but it won't really be the same. Oh, and she would not be that disrespectful to Juliana. Of course, she had a right to call her out, but at times she also behaved rather childishly and I was on Juliana's side lol. I would just remove that little thing. Oh, also, she wouldn't compete in 2x80.
Ámbar: In summary, less bratty, more creepy. For example, I think she's still very picky with the food, but instead of screaming it to the chef's faces, she'll just scream it to Sharon. Now, her brattyness does help with showing how she, too, is just a child and there's an immaturity to her that she tries to hide. But I think we can do it in other ways. For example, I think she'd start off with playing pranks on Luna, but then slowly up her way to just being plain creepy. Like to a degree where she puts up an act around EVERYONE, and she almost does not know who she herself is. I don't know if I am good at describing it, but I love exploring Ámbar's inner thoughts and her identity crisis in S2 is one of the most interesting plots of her character. Also, I'd think I'd have her possibly seek out her bio mom too after the reveal.
Sharon: First of all, more scenes with Luna. I think they interacted way too little, especially in S1 and S3. I'd like there to be some moments in S1 where they just exchange a few words, or just have a casual conversation, and they both feel a sense of familiarity. And in S3, especially towards the end of season, I'd like them to TALK. SPEAK OUT. SOLVE THINGS. AUNT AND NIECE. I also think I’d like her to get more ”visions”. Both flashbacks from the past, but also ”what if” scenarios. As she spirals more and more into insanity, she sees Ámbar and Luna sit together talking and suddenly she’s seeing both of them as little kids. Goes into the kitchen, sees Luna and suddenly she’s little Sol eating a cookie. She goes into Ámbar’s room, suddenly she sees little Ámbar asking her to brush her hair. Also, she’s much more a threat in S3, because in S3… she tbh at times were just hanging around and then in like the final 3 episodes she did something.
Simón: Wouldn’t change much, he is perfect 💜 All I would change is possibly not sleeping in the mansion garage, but rather go stay at a Hotel, or go to stay with Nico and Pedro immediately. Oh, and I'd have him react differently around Daniela. They'd still date for drama purposes but... he's never gonna doubt Luna over anything. Also, he won't decide to go back to Mexico the second he sees Luna kiss someone else, he's gonna see it's a non-consentual kiss (I am having trauma from TWO of these shows that no one saw it as non-consentual and I need to fix it). But otherwise he'd be more or less exactly the same <3
Matteo: Gets held accountable for his crimes /hj
Nina: I think I'd first of all not let her forge Gastón's application. She's still gonna stay in S3, but not due to that journalism for roller skating thing, but because she simply wants to finish her final year and then go to university.
Gastón: He does not break up with Nina. They have a long distance relationship and it works perfectly fine. Otherwise I wouldn't change much.
Ramiro: At first I wouldn't change super much, but I would either give some more impact on him joining Adrenaline, or I would remove the Adrenaline plot entirely because I always forget it exists at every time.
Jim: Make her gayer than she already is <3
Yam: Same as above, but also, her probably knowing more than Jim that she is a lesbian, and giving more hints about it. Also I'd give her more screentime just because <3
Eric: I can allow him to be there, but... he's just gonna be there... maybe just keep him for the "helping him to sing" part, as it can be a fun thing for Nina to go from not daring to sing in public herself to teaching someone else to sing in front of an audience.
Ana: I'm thinking her and Mora having this dating arc kinda going on in the background. Kind of a "hint hint" until they suddenly reveal they're dating. Also she's not gonna date Gary at all, because. She's dating Mora all the time.
Mora: Keep her in S3. And have her drop random hints she's sapphic but then not elaborate. Keep being a sapphic mentor to Jim and Yam at least.
Benicio: He's just gonna be here so that I can make him suffer so much
Emilia: She deserves a redemption. Also I may give some more depth to her. And maybe she has an obvious crush on Ámbar that she refuses to admit.
Juliana: She's gonna stay essentially the same, but be slightly less rude in the beginning. I'm gonna also have her also be a bit of a sapphic mentor too, but to everyone in a way ;)
Jazmin: She's gonna be called out for recording people without their consent. Although, it's gonna be a fun plot where her fans think that everyone in her videos are just acting and that it's not actually true.
Delfi: Basically the same as Jazmin. I'm also gonna maybe change her a bit in S1, but I probably need to rewatch S1 to see exactly how lol.
Everyone else I think I won't change that much or I'm not sure how to rewrite them atm.
