imagine cuddling up with your f/o in bed during a thunderstorm… arms curled around each other, legs intertwined, head resting against chest while it rumbles and pours outside. getting to listen to the sound of their deep, calm breathing with the patter of rain against the window, seeing their features whenever the room is lit up by the flash of lightning… maybe their arms tighten around you whenever there’s a clap of thunder, maybe they make some sort of sound or they snuggle closer to you… just imagine being all warm and cozy with them during a storm, safe and comfy in their embrace <3

Im truly not that much of a shipper when it comes to utdr but some ships like kerdly has a special place in my heart

i ate a cupcake recently without first spending five minutes talking about how logistically stressful it is to eat a cupcake, so. i am capable of growth
#i just don't understand how you're supposed to do it without making a mess#why would someone design a food that seems like it is specifically impossible not to get smeared somewhere?#like just design it differently idk??? but everyone else seems to be fine with it so i guess it was a fine decision and i'm the problem#this time i didn't want to say anything about cupcakes being stressful to eat because i was being given a cupcake by the person#who had made the cupcakes and also it was her birthday. so. would have been kind of a dick move.#instead i just unwrapped the cupcake very slowly to give me time to observe how other people were eating theirs#and then i decided i didn't like their methods and did something else#this makes it sound like i've never seen someone eat a cupcake before or eaten one myself but i have many times#i just have never liked it. and i keep holding out hope that someday i'll see someone do it in a way that makes sense#i want someone to crack the code so i can just eat cupcakes. i don't think they're very interesting but it would behoove me socially#to be normal about cupcakes. since everyone else seems so into them for some reason#food#my posts#that said i do know the wrongest way to eat a cupcake and that's the way my younger sister does it (or used to do it)#which entails eating the entire wrapper as well as the cupcake#so in my quest for an acceptable way to eat a cupcake i have at least ruled out several including that one

I feel like the tide has changed online in the last couple of years, probably more since the release of traditionis custodes, where I see more people anticipating a ‘trad’ reaction to something and complaining about that invented reaction than I do actual trads complaining about the thing.
like the pope or a bishop will say something or a new thing will come out and everyone says ‘oh the trads are going to haaaaate this’ and go on inventing nonsense the trads will say about it.
and don’t get me wrong some trads do actually react badly, but they’re so minimal compared to the amount of people complaining about a completely made up trad reaction (the strawtrad, if you will). in comparison to the strawtrad, the real trads look a lot more grounded too.
maybe I’ve just really managed to cultivate my social media well, and the only times I interact with hardcore trads are in real life (where they’re far less likely to say chronically online things), but it’s just something funny in noticing.

Idk how to describe it but I'm so glad we stop referring to other women, specially in an anecdote when she was being annoying/unpleasant in any way, as "bitch" and instead simply use "girl". Such as "girl, what are you talking about". Like, she was disrespectful but we don't use foul language while referring to a complete stranger.
#if i posted this thought on twitter i believe i would've been cooked to death#this is probably a non-issue but as someone who's being on the English speaking side of the internet for a while#i believe this is a good change. it always felt really odd while reading tweets#(though you could make a point this is aave(? though I'm not sure. im not usamerican im from a spanish speaking country#and im not that well verxed in that area. im a linguist)#this was just an observation made by someone interested in linguistics#social media#feminism#(?#language#gender#or maybe this is a normal way of talking to strangers and my ex christian background just makes me feel uncomfortable using “bad words”#either way i wanna know if other people see this shift
