I wish the thieves had SOME kind of reaction to the Satanael awakening. Kinda wish we at least had RYUJI react to it….

I think its sooooo compelling to have Ryuji be the only person to witness BOTH awakenings; to see how much Akira and his will has grown since they first met. There was a raw, burning fury in Akiras core that recoiled at the injustice before him, and when given the tools to punish said injustice, eagerly accepted it with a wild, almost manic kind of intensity. I think it would be difficult for the others to truly grasp just how scary that was; that for a short moment, Ryuji couldnt pinpoint the cause of that rage, and the target of it. Akiras mellowed out alot since then, but its always in the back of Ryujis head; theres a side of their leader literally none of the thieves have or will ever see, and he doesnt really know how hes supposed to feel about that.

And now the airs charged in the same way he felt back in Kamoshidas palace; right as Akiras eyes widened at seeing him slammed against the wall. The blazing, untamed ferocity in his eyes from back then is replaced with a cool, calm, steely conviction. He knows his purpose; understands completely what his will screamed at him to understand back when it first started. This is the Akira the team knows, and its definitely the one Ryuji is used to now, but its insane to see the shift; insane to see the kind of power that simmered in Akiras core, literally too big and too overwhelming for past Akira to grapple with and set free.

Satanael comes down, and theres a moment, through all the excited screaming and hollering, where Ryuji can see it look right at him, and Ryuji is taken back to the floor of Kamoshidas Palace; not to the fear he felt when Arsene came forth incinerating everything, but immediately after, when Akira comes to with wide eyes and an outstretched hand- that bizarre feeling of safety, of knowing that this kid would have his back, and that hed never have to worry about where his place would be (its right beside him, obviously.)

I’m in love with how they are giving so many subtle hints about Alhaitham and Kaveh’s relationship and how important it is to Alhaitham, despite the way they always seem to be bickering.

Throughout the 3.2 archon quest Alhaitham tells us that the reason why he is so interested in helping Sumeru is because he doesn’t want his daily life to change. After that Kaveh starts being mentioned very frequently by him or we hear other people in the akademiya complain about how they daily argue.

Then, of course, we meet them both arguing with each other in the House of Daena, which was quite the argument. We also know many of their casual interactions and how they go to the café/bar frequently together. Furthermore, Alhaitham pays all of Kaveh’s bills (something no one would do for someone they don't care for).

And now, during Alhaitham’s quest, their tones were so soft (At least in JP and CN) and also domestic. Kaveh seems to worry a lot about Alhaitham and exchanges glances with him, which made me melt inside. I also love how Alhaitham is constantly smiling while bickering with kaveh. Remember, we dont see him smiling like this that often. Which means he really enjoys it. I really liked how after the second time Kaveh asked him if he is okay, he replied with a tease about the painting Kaveh had mentioned before. Also smiling.

But most importantly, something I see no one talking about: the moment when Alhaitham was explaining why he resigned from being the Grand Sage to being the scribe again and he tells us that “It’s important to keep your priorities straight”, the camera points at Kaveh.

I know this game will probably never have any canon ship because they need to make everyone happy, but we do get hints like this from time to time and I think this was one of them.

After all, why would they bother to add all of those scenes with Kaveh when the quests had already concluded, if not for showing us how is what is Alhaitham’s daily life he wants to protect that much? We saw how happy he is, how eager he was to get home and go have dinner with Kaveh. We also see how Kaveh had been waiting for him as well.

I’d like to know more about their relationship, even if it ends up not being romantic (though how do you explain that face Kaveh made when paimon asked if they are friends).

I've talked about this before here, once again thinking about how zoro and luffy have so much trust in each other, that oftentimes they don't even feel the need to worry about each other.

However, having complete trust in each other ≠ having zero concern for the other person. You can have complete faith in another person but still worry about them and don't want them to get hurt.

Luffy and zoro are confident in each other's abilities, but sometimes (quite often actually) they just can't help but worry... Especially when the other person is right there with them, where they can see the exact moment when they are about to get hurt/already hurt. (Because sometimes it is easier to cling to your faith when the other person's not around)

All im saying is that i love when monkey d. "he (zoro) can pull through anything!" luffy shows his worry-wart side to his first mate:)

Also while i'm at it, sometimes people use the moment in alabasta (when zoro's worrying about luffy) to question zoro's faith in his captain's strength. Once again reminding people that when you love/care about someone, you can both have complete utter faith but also can't help but worry about them at the same time. Sometimes one of the two is more dominant than the other one and that's OKAY. At that time it was kinda hard for zoro to suppress his worry-wart side for his captain, but that's FINE. Zoro's concern is VALID and it doesn't mean that sanji has more confidence in his captain's ability more than zoro (because believe me when i say, some people use that particular moment to shit on zoro's faith in luffy while praising sanji's faith in luffy a little too often for my own liking)

kaeya holds your leg—the point of your heel digs into his upper thigh but he doesn't seem to mind, sending you one quick teasing glance before he leans forward and kisses up to your calf. your fingers twitch around the wine glass, itching to grab his pretty silky hair and drag him into place. but you're patient, savoring the moment of intimacy as kaeya basically worships your body from his place on his knees.

he's so pretty; his hair trailing gently down his back, slightly loose from its ponytail. his eyes are practically gleaming with adoration, watching you intently as they glaze over in his daze and some of his hair falls pretty to frame his face. he looks so soft under the dull lights, dark but gentle shadows casting across his features and your heart picks up a little because he's yours.

kaeya's lips leave hot trails across the skin of your knee before he reaches your thighs. he hesitates (you can see from the way he freezes, fingers drumming lightly against the outside of your thigh) and looks up at you as if gaging your reaction. when you do nothing but raise an eyebrow, wine glass tilting to the side along with your head, kaeya takes it as the get go to gently spread open your legs. 

with a slight grin, you crumble. your fingers find kaeya's blue hair, curling into it when the man presses his lips into your inner thighs. your dress has ridden up, kaeya teasingly pushing the edges up with his fingers and a small sigh leaves your lips as kaeya's hands find home against your knees, keeping your legs parted and he nudges his face closer into you.

you watch him, dark eyed, over the top of your wine glass, nails gently brushing against his scalp. kaeya hums gently and you can feel the vibrations against your thigh, can feel his quick pants through his nose against your core and you melt into your seat a little.

"kae…" you purr, brushing strands of blue from his pretty icy eyes as he looks up at you when you address him. you stare at how he parts his lips slightly, eyes sparkling with need and the want to please you. your fingers curl, lightly pulling his head back and he gasps quietly. you lean forward in your seat a little, voice low, "don't tease." 

the ghost of a smirk paints kaeya's face, all too visible under the dull flickering lights. you settle back against the chair, completely letting go of kaeya's hair and kaeya takes it as a silent nod to go ahead. 

he wastes no time—he's eager. he pulls your underwear down, the material catching on your heel but kaeya is too dazed to notice, his hands instantly going to hook under your knees to pull you forward.

you gasp, shocked, but it simmers into a soft moan at the first drag of kaeya's tongue against you. your head tips back against the back of the chair, hand holding the glass falling slightly to the side and your fingers clench around it.
