Like Absalom, there's something terribly real about Hogback's obsession, right down to the depression he falls into after Cindry initially died. I actually like that he wasn't the one to kill her. It adds the teensiest bit of complexity to his character, and while not said directly it makes sense that after being powerless to bring the person he "loved" back to life that he'd jump at the chance at joining someone like Moriah. Hogback wants to be known as the man who has conquered death, he wouldn't make this huge speech trying to convince Chopper about his ability otherwise, and it's easy to see how that obsession might have come about. There’s even some symbolism of this corruption in his character design, as he goes from wearing all white when Cindry was alive to all black after bringing her back from the dead.

•°♤°• For your Allsan AU what would happen if Sanji was a female? I couldn't imagine all of those different situations they would be in. Also, have you read The Prince by abrxsjaeger (klmrnngstr)?
It's not just men it's also women. She's still getting kidnapped and hit on the entire time. She's gifted a lot of clothes and ingredients and she still needs a lot of overt attention from her partners to feel secure. She's the one who is kidnapped by Absalom on Thriller Bark to be his wife. Zeff is pissed she's fighting but so glad she is but like jfc. She gets regular proposals of marriage, blatant and obvious but she doesn't understand why? Most of them don't know her that well.
She's not going to marry Law because of his obsession with Germa and they're on separate crews, also he only told Sanji he would eat her cooking forever? Luffy says that all the time.
Katakuri looked visibly pained and told Sanji he wished to be the one marrying her which she doesn't understand because she's the failure, she figured he was just being nice despite the death plan.
Hancock called her cute with a wink when they met.
Hiyori may climb into Zoro's bed but she keeps staring at Sanji too and mumbling to herself about decisions. Yamato also blatantly hits on Sanji in a similar vein to Marco and asks Sanji if she wants him to show him what a real man can do. Sanji's nosebleed is horrific and Hiroyi yells that Yamato can have Sanji if she can have Zoro.
Also I don't know truthfully, I read a lot.

Sanji black fire theory
I know a lot of people already were talking about it, but because the theories I saw tend to associate it with some demonic epithet, I have been very hesitant to adopt it. The theory I have is that his max power would have a godly/holy name (my theory/explanation here), so I had been very reserved about the black fire thing.
I have now somewhat changed my mind about it.
It occurs to me that if the black fire is the manifestation of conqueror haki, it can still have a "holy" epithet. For example, Shanks's haki attack is called Kamusari 神避, or translated as "Divine Departure".
Tumblr media
With that in mind I'm gonna revisit the "foxfire" idea I once mentioned, just with some slight tweaks.
"Foxfire" is kind of a fire ability that is not entirely explained. Back when Sanji said it in Thriller Bark, it was being portrayed as a joke. However, Kin'emon later uses "foxfire technique" that actually interacts with real fire. It produces fire, and also cuts fire.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unless I missed something, I cannot find explicit description of what exactly makes the fire, but it seems to be implied to have been Haki ability. Once again, until proven otherwise, based on this I will assume that somehow Haki can generate fire.
In which case, it's not impossible that Sanji's "foxfire" joke can later manifest as a full-fledged fire ability that allows him to actually fly (like Ace).
In the same Thriller Bark context we already had a joke manifesting into reality. Remember that when Usopp told Sanji about Absalom, he just went completely berserk, and Zoro told Usopp to stop lest he "henshin into something"?
Tumblr media
Well... further plot development shows that if Sanji get really angry, he can now indeed "henshin into something":
Tumblr media
Some people have also theorised that the black fire will be related with the Germa modifications because of this, since the name "Stealth Black" implies that a successful modification would've made Sanji's hair black.
I somewhat agree with it, though I don't subscribe to the idea that Sanji's hair will turn black if he unlocks the ability to use black fire.
Going back to Kin'emon's fire ability. Assuming that it's indeed haki, then it means that he makes the fire by channelling the haki into his sword. In which case, maybe that was the same with Sanji, except that it's channelled through his leg and not through a tool or weapon.
It may be possible that if Sanji manifests advanced Conqueror Haki, which can be infused in body parts or weapons, his fire legs will be black flames. It would also match his already existing epithet, "Black Leg".
This also fits my theory about Sanji being symbolised by "solar eclipse" in relation to Kamen Rider. I may have to re-explain it based on the new material I have, but the short of it is: I see Sora as representing "sun", while Germa is "moon". Solar eclipse is a phenomenon where the sun and moon lines up.
The Kamen Rider connection is that Kamen Rider Black, whose name and powers symbolise solar eclipse, has all the body modifications given to him (including an exoskeleton armour) by the evil organisation. However, due to still having human heart, he uses all that power for good. I strongly feel that sensei used this particular character as Sanji's reference.
Therefore, I feel that this means that Sanji will use "both the sun and moon together", not see the "moon" as a hindrance. He will "redeem" the exoskeleton and other Germa modifications that he has. Someone somehow will fix it later so that it will not affect his ability to empathise and be kind, and he will combine the exoskeleton (Germa science) with Armament Haki and Conqueror Haki (Sora's influence) to use the black flames.
Why is Haki "Sora's influence"? Because as we've seen with the other brothers, not having fear of death means that they also don't have a particularly strong will to push themselves to the limit. They do have some fighting spirit still, but it doesn't seem to be enough.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even if you argue that Perospero's candy is too strong to break, you don't see the Vinsmoke brothers bothering to even try. For example, until proven otherwise, Yonji's power was supposedly some kind of superstrength that is above Ichiji and Niji. Why is he talking about the weapons and not trying to break free?
Compare that to Luffy, who we know has very strong will, using all his power to try to pull himself free from the book pins that trapped him. Nami and Opera both told him it's no use, but he still tries anyway.
Haki is a power that comes from willpower. No strong will, no haki. Therefore, Sanji's ability to use haki is because of Sora's efforts to preserve his "heart".
Aside from the symbolism, we already saw that he needed to have the exoskeleton in order to use Ifrit Jambe. His normal body is not strong enough to withstand the heat. If black fire is even more powerful than Ifrit, he will need the exoskeleton even more than this.
Tumblr media
It would be really cool if the flying foxfire joke manifests as black fire wings, really. It would be a close allusion to the Lunarians, without actually making him one.
My personal favourite guesses for the "godly/holy" names Sanji might use for his max power are: Acala (Fudou Myou'ou is a god connected to solar eclipse), Garuda (Lunarians resemble Garuda), Archangel (as a counter to Seraphim)
I'm sort of reserved about Garuda, honestly, because Sanji knows that was Judge's name. The clones were saying it when the two fought. Sanji might not want to use it as his own power name, because he hates Judge, and even "redeeming" the Germa ability for good usage might not erase his distaste for the name.
Still, maybe it will turn out that Garuda has a much deeper significance in One Piece lore. A personal favourite theory of mine is that Germa in the past is actually a force of good, and Sanji will be the one to "reclaim" that good past somehow. Maybe Garuda is related to that, and so if the good outweighs the awful stuff Germa has become, maybe he'll be okay with it.
Secondary guesses that are still cool, but not my personal preference: Draco/Dragon (due to yin yang symbolism), Vulcan (fire god), Surya (sun), Ignis/Agni (also fire).
A rather unlikely option, but it would be funny if it's true: "Erasmus". St Elmo's fire is sort of the Western version of foxfire, and "Elmo" is the shortened form of "Erasmus". Funny because then we can make Hellmo memes about it.

20 Great Horror Podcasts To Fall Asleep And Have Nightmares To
I listen to a lot of horror podcasts, and if you’re looking for a spooky recommendation for October, I am here to provide. These are my personal top ten (not in any order) and ten rapid-fire “honorable mentions” as well.
The Silt Verses – Strange, soothing folk horror. Two followers of an outlawed god travel their deity’s great black river, hiding from a police manhunt and encountering other weird gods that have flourished in forgotten rural territories. There is a god in your fridge, a god in your radio, a god in your deepest regrets, and none of that is a good thing.
The Hotel – Someplace beyond time and space is The Hotel, where guests check in but they don't check out *Vincent Price laugh* instead meeting a violent death at the will of the Hotel. The truly stand out part is the hotel staff, who end up getting most of the focus. The interplay between these terrible monsters who are all trapped in hell together is absolutely fantastic, horror office politics at its finest.
The Magnus Archives – Jonathan Sims’s job is to record statements of encounters with the supernatural. But the more he records, the more connections he makes between these seemingly disconnected tales of terror. A horror/tragedy with a deep emotional core, difficult moral questions, and just the right amount of humor. You’ve already heard of this one why am I even telling you about it, it’s good.
Unwell – Mount Absalom, Ohio is a small town, the kind of place where you don’t lock your doors at night. Where the ghost tour at Fenwood House runs rain or shine. Where buildings still bear the marks of the last great fire in the Burning Woods. Where you might hear echoes of conversations long past in the observatory on Chapel Hill. Unwell is particularly memorable for its fun, colorful characters and for its themes of history and loss. A Midwestern Gothic mystery about family, memories, and the things that haunt us in the end.
Down – A submarine called the Virgil enters a seemingly bottomless Antarctic trench. Its mission: to map the pit and collect samples of any scientifically interesting creatures within. But when an encounter with one of these creatures goes awry, tensions form among the crew, and they begin to wonder how safe they really are. All the while, the Virgil descends … and descends … and descends.
Mockery Manor – It’s the summer of 1989, and people are going missing in Mockery Manor theme park. It’s up to a pair of teenage sisters to unravel the mystery and catch the killer – if they can get past their own traumas and work together. If you like 80s and 90s horror/slasher movies, this one is for you. The audio production values are some of the best I’ve seen, and include in-universe pop songs and wonderfully atmospheric 90s horror synth.
I Am In Eskew – David Ward is lost. He’s found himself in Eskew, a place of steep and winding streets, where the architecture changes at will and the rain never stops. Eskew grips its people tight, and does not let go easily. These are David’s stories of the city that has claimed him, and of someone who is looking for him there.
Gospel Of The Flood – The world is sinking. Slowly, day by day, the continents are vanishing under the waves. This is the age of the Flood. We follow a priest who has lost his faith, as he searches for the people he remembers in this doomed and dying world. A tragedy/existential horror about faith, despair, kindness, cruelty, and the tide that carries it all away.
The Lost Cat Podcast – Our narrator is looking for his cat. It isn’t the nicest cat, nor the most well-behaved, but it is his cat and he misses it. As he searches he encounters many people, many creatures, and some truly terrible things. He’d like to tell you about them. The tone for this one fluctuates from story to story, from genuinely horrifying to purely comedic to incredibly soft and gentle.
Archive 81 – A man named Daniel Powell listens to some audio tapes. This will surely not have severe consequences for anyone. Melody Pendras interviews the tenets of a building where reality wears thin at the edges. A play from golden age of radio brushes against something mankind wasn't meant to hear. Two siblings attempt an occult ritual left by their estranged (and now deceased) father. It's a lot of weird analog horror with fun found footage scattered within.
(Note: Archive 81 is genuinely nothing like the Netflix adaptation of the same name. The plot is entirely different, the characters act differently, the podcast is a surreal cosmic horror while the adaptation is a straightforward demon cult and Netflix made Melody straight. Don’t mention the Netflix adaptation in this household we all hate the Netflix adaptation here.)
Honorable Mentions: (i.e., I like them but for one reason or another they weren’t right for the top ten.)
Midst - More Fantasy/Weird/Western than horror, but if you like horror you’ll love the monsters, the cosmic horror reality storms and the truly weird imagery. The unique narration style is like nothing else I’ve ever heard and keeps the energy high.
The White Vault S1 & S2 – Frozen tundra horror, similar vibes to The Thing, in a found footage format. I mostly recommend the first two seasons, because they’re the most solid and they work as a self-contained story.
Old Gods of Appalachia – Appalachian folk horror, angry ghosts and forest gods. Some characters and threads run through it but largely each season is its own setting and story.
Alice Isn’t Dead – A truck driver searches America for the wife she long assumed was dead. Soft spoken road trip horror slowly unraveling an inhuman conspiracy.
Woe.Begone – More scifi/thriller than horror, but good shit. What begins as a mysterious and violent ARG with real-life consequences becomes a search for the technology that makes the game possible. Great music, fun narrator, dark themes.
Death By Dying – The Obituary Writer of Crestfall, Idaho just can’t stop himself from investigating the mysterious deaths he’s supposed to be writing about. Very silly and whimsical, more black comedy than pure horror with big Welcome To Night Vale vibes.
A Voice From Darkness – Parapsychologist Dr. Malcolm Ryder helps those who suffer from supernatural troubles on his call in radio show. I’ll warn that the update schedule is a bit slow and not super consistent.
The SCP Archives – A podcast that takes stories from the SCP Foundation wiki and gives them voice acting, foley and the full audio treatment. Picks a pretty good variety, too.
The Wrong Station – Anthology podcasts are always a little hit and miss, but the fact that The Wrong Station keeps the same writing/VA team from episode to episode really helps keep it consistent. I made a list of my favorite episodes here.
Nightlight – Anthology podcast with creepy stories written by black writers and performed by black actors. Like all anthologies, you’ll like some stories better than others, but they cover a pretty wide range.

Part III Ch1 sneak peek
Bartimaeus Kemp came down the gangplank and onto the wind-scraped beach to meet his king. Bestride a dark horse, cloak tossed over his shoulder, Kenever looked every inch the grandson of Roland the Conqueror. He had the upright carriage of a soldier, while the thick black hair touched with gray at the temples gave him a scholar’s gravitas. His stiff double-breasted tunic was styled after the Solasan officer’s uniform he’d worn for most of his adult life, but the gray wool was embroidered with the sigil of his Guyish mother’s house. He was the living embodiment of royal diplomacy.
This is what a king should look like, thought Kemp as he bowed.
Kenever swung down from his horse and made the royal sign before clasping Kemp’s hands in his.
“It is so good to see you, Kemp. I trust the voyage wasn’t too difficult?”
Before Kemp could answer, Tam Tregeryth jumped down from the gangplank. As he straightened, the sun caught on his handsome, smiling face. Kemp felt Kenever's hands tighten involuntarily around his own.
Tam winked at Kenever—Indiscreet, Kemp chided in his mind—before bowing. Kenever released Kemp and went to Tam. They stood simply looking at each other, Tam beaming, Kenever almost smiling—which, for him, was as good as the broadest grin. He was not a man who showed emotion in his face.
Rather like the Golden Bird in that way, thought Kenever.
It was not a thought he would ever share, except perhaps with Emine. Likening a king to a pleasure slave was a bridge too far, even for a man with politics as radical as Kemp’s.
Still, comparing the two in his mind, he could see clearly how marked they both were, Kenever by navigating Highcourt’s perilous waters as the second son of a weak king and Luca from whatever horrors had been visited upon him at the training house. Both had grown into men whose implacable exteriors served as armor for what lay beneath.
It had been Kemp and Kemp alone who saw their potential. As he watched Kenever mount his horse, he allowed himself a moment of satisfaction at how well his investment had turned out.
Mounting his own horse proved the usual combination of painful and humiliating. Kemp was keeping himself up by a death-grip on the damn thing’s mane while trying to maneuver his good foot into the stirrup when strong arms lifted him up and placed him on the saddle. He looked down to see Tam grinning at him.
“I thought you’d lost weight since we left Absalom, Teacher.”
“Testing a theory, were you?” said Kemp, returning the smile.
“Aye, and right I was! We’ll need to fatten you up once we get to Castle Guye.”
Kemp laughed. It was always a marvel to him how little Tam had changed from the lively, good-humored boy he’d once been. Then again, it wasn’t as if Tam had ever endured the hardship that changes a man’s character. The sun had shone on him all his life. Kemp suspected it always would.
As they rode along the rocky beachhead, Kenever pulled his horse alongside Kemp’s. Kemp had been expecting to be taken aside for a conference, but he was surprised when the first words out of Kenever’s mouth were, “Teacher, I need your advice.”
“Of course, my dear boy,” said Kemp, lapsing into their usual informal address.
“It’s about my half-sister, Amelia—or rather, her sons. What do you know of my nephews?”
Had anyone else asked the question, Kemp's answer would have been painstakingly neutral. Fortunately, Kenever rarely wanted anything but the truth.
And the truth was what Kemp gave him. He described Edmund, Amelia’s eldest, who had all his mother’s vanity but none of her shrewdness. This was to be expected: Edmund was good-looking, which Amelia never had been, and as a man, he hadn’t needed to learn the low cunning and subtle games his mother made her art. Indeed, a man in Edmund’s position needed to play no games at all. He’d been cursed with too much of everything: wealth, breeding, beauty. It had, in Kemp’s estimation, resulted in an idle, stulted mind.
So much for Edmund. Rafe was another matter. He had the potential to be very dangerous indeed. He’d been born to the same banquet of riches, but his eyes were never on his own plate, always on Ademar’s. They were very alike, the King and his cousin. Decadent, ruthless, childlike. That streak of immaturity came out in Ademar’s tantrums and lethally short attention span. In Rafe it manifested as a monstrous yet fragile pride. Even minor or accidental slights he took as mortal wounds. Every act of perceived disrespect obsessed him. His reprisals were carefully planned, totally merciless, and undeniably brilliant—cruelty being perhaps the only sort of brilliance he was capable of.
Kenever listened silently, the furrow in his brow deepening. When Kemp finished, he shook his head.
“Sometimes I believe what they say about my father’s first wife having cursed blood,” he said. “What about Amelia’s youngest, Tobias?”
“There I can offer very little. I met Lord Tobias only once, when we visited Chesten after the death of your royal brother, may he feast in the Hall of Rest.”
Kemp paused, trying to recall the young Lord Tobias. A memory took shape of an unloved and unlovely child, unwilling or unable to speak, lurking at the back of every gathering until the opportunity came to make his escape.
“A lonely boy,” said Kemp at last, “and quite desperately unhappy.”
“Yes, that was my impression as well,” said Kenever, sighing. “When I heard my sister had sent him to squire for that lowborn General, I worried for him. Well, it seems the General sent him away; my scouts found him wandering in the Wychwood. He’s at Castle Guye now.”
“As your guest?”
“A guest with a room locks from the outside. He’s already tried to run away once, you see. Something about a slave he had some attachment to.”
“Ah, so he takes after his father the Duke.”
Kenever shot him a humorous look.
“It doesn’t seem to be that sort of attachment, thank the gods. I almost wish it were; that would make him a little easier to understand. He’s a very strange young man. More like a boy, really. The tantrums he throws! He’s got the servants convinced he’s spirit-ridden. I tell you, Teacher, what Amelia was thinking sending him to war I'll never know. A blind man could see he has no promise as an officer.”
Kenever was an even-tempered man, but there was outrage in his voice. No mystery why; Kenever had himself been an inconvenient youngest son sent off to war too soon. Fortunately he had all the promise Tobias apparently lacked.
“Would you mind interviewing my wayward nephew, Teacher?” Kenever asked. “You have Akena’s eye, you always have. You see things in people they don’t see in themselves. I should know,” he added with a hint of that self-deprecation which Kemp had always felt it so important for a king to have (or, at least, pretend to have).
“It would be my pleasure, Your Highness.”
“I’ll count it as a favor.”
“Really, my dear boy, there are no favors between us.”
Kemp had been vaguely aware of Tam and his friends playing some game which involved trying to shove each other off their horses and over the ridge. Now he galloped past Kenever with a taunting whistle. Kenever gave a shout of mock outrage and kicked his horse forward. Kemp would be the first to admit that his was a cold heart, but watching his former pupils spar and jest, he felt it thaw a little.
The warm feeling lasted exactly as long as it took to arrive at Castle Guye.

AO3 FIC (SNEAK PEEK)
Tumblr media
JUST A LITTLE SNEAK PEEK FOR A DARKSIDERS DEATH X READER I'LL BE POSTING ON AO3 (AND BECAUSE I NEED A SOURCE LINK FOR A03'S IMAGE USE IN THE WORK TEXT BOX)
────────────────
There is nothing left of your people. They are gone, slain by the hands of carnage, death is strewn across the barren battleground with crimson blood weaving their lifeless demise in elaborate, threaded rivers. A last stand skirmish ended in your grim defeat. Your foes came in waves by the hundreds that then turned neverending, their bloodlust too strong in spurring their ambition to fight and ultimately, slaughter your now fallen allies. Friends and siblings-in-arms, even some relations by blood, all were now left to rot in this shattered world you called home.
Your enemy, the Nephilim, stands together as a wall that comes around to circle you, ever so creeping inward to cage you within their sights. The dented scraps of metal and bone ornament armour are beaten and cracked, bindings of adorned leather wither in ragged strips with threads splitting at the seams, and blood… blood, dirt and sweat clings to your skin so unnaturally that it stains your skin painfully.
You lean upon the hilt of your broken blade mounted deeply within the dirt, it acts as a faltering pillar that’s due to give in at any moment. Each breath you take in is one believed to be your last, your chest quivers and aches under the strenuous force of keeping your body somewhat upright. Your eyes are heavy until your lashes flutter over the sunken rim beneath, sore from being aimed narrowly in constant motion. Little did your battle allow your brows to unease from furrowing with concentration.
Breath tumbles over your bottom lip in hot, searing waves as your tousled hair glues to you in whichever way, wisps cast over your face with a shadowed curtain even more, given your poor, slouched-forward posture that barely holds any strength to stand.
The shuddering weight of feet moves towards you, thick hided and iron enforced boots come into vision to easily overcrowd your entire line of sight. The barbaric appearance of his armour is coated in layers of dark blood but hardly shows signs of afflicted damage. He’d been watching you through the battle’s duration, that you can be rest assured of, and now his eyes take you in at this enclosed distance. A large, square shaped face leans down and forward that little more, his eyes aflame with a fiery glow and his mouth screws about into a victorious smirk that only stretches further into a grin.
“What now, warrior?”
Your throat grips in a tightened recoil as you snarl, summoning what little spit you can gather on your dried tongue, you lather the dewy substance onto his face, and his grin comes to fall, however that smirk remains slightly as he raises a hand to wipe away your scornful spit.
The massive size of his calloused hand grapples viciously to the adorning braid in your hair, a strengthened symbol of your endless and victorious feats, and a long one at that. With one swipe of his bladed axe, it is felled and your breath hitches violently in your lungs as your body becomes coldly rigged.
For as long as you can remember, that braid has withstood the great battles of tyrannical beings that sought to wage war against your people. Now, those accomplishments are severed from you – from your very soul it feels – and Absalom brandishes his trophy for his brethren to witness. Their cheerful cries are awful and haunting, a band of howling beasts that roar in their gluttonous triumph. As a final insult. The remnant steel of your blade crumbles, shattering off into sharded pieces of metal to litter the ground, your body slumps forward much to your disgruntlement. The critter of dirt shuffles beneath your palms, digging harshly into your skin as you brush them over the splinters of your sword. Your fingers curl and grasp hold of a piece that fits firmly in your hand.
It bears the burden of futility but it may serve you at some point. You do well to conceal it beneath the leather of your gauntlet.
He tethers the braid of hair to his belt, alongside the many copies of your own kin, the silvery streaks of your mother’s braid are blended with dried, crusty blood. She too was felled by the very abomination before you. But unlike you – at least for now – her chest had been ruptured and torn open by his weapon. Yet you expect that fate will be shared very soon.
“A pretty young creature.” His remark is sudden with a thoughtful furrow to his brows, the horned crown resting over his forehead making the action appear far more menacing. His hand snatches hold of your jaw, cupping it near its entirety within the rough pads of his enormous fingers along, but still you snarl like a cornered animal, hissing sharply.
His lips pull and that grin returns. “I think my brother will enjoy you.”

Ranna
Tumblr media
"Slaadi" © Wizards of the Coast, by Sam Wood
[New Year, New Monsters! I am feeling much less burnt out than I was for the back half of 2023, and have built up a small backlog of new writing. I'm going to keep monsters I post to 2/week for now, to give myself time to go through said backlog in case the burnout rears up again when I'm back to work.
So for my first trick, is a monster NPC I actually wrote back in like September, but didn't post. Consider her an epilogue to the whole "Monster Girl Summer" thing. Ranna is @strawberry-crocodile's character, and fits with some of my other monstrous NPCs. She's Doctor Shiny's main minion, and their relationship serves as sort of a nasty counterpart to Gigi and Priscilla's. Of course, if you just want to use the stat block as a particularly burly slaad enforcer type, that works just as well as Ranna's baroque and macabre backstory.]
Ranna CR 18 CE Aberration This blue, frog-like humanoid has a triangular fanged snout, warty skin and enormous claws growing from the backs of their hands. A red gemstone is embedded in their skull, right between the eyes.
Marina Rhynne was an alchemy student at Endirion School in Absalom, prone to anxiety and to thinking with her stomach. She caught the eye of Doctor Agatha Shiny, who used the pretext of a dinner invitation and offer of a graduate program to abduct her and implant her with an alchemically treated red slaad egg. Doctor Shiny succeeded in one of her goals, which was to cause memories to be passed from the host to the parasite, but failed in that the resultant blue slaad did not maintain the intelligence of her progenitor. The resultant slaad, named Ranna, could recall her previous life in a hazy, dream-like way, but the predominant personality trait that was carried over was hunger.
Ranna is now Doctor Shiny’s Number One Minion, her assassin, procurer and lover. If Doctor Shiny needs someone eliminated or an unusual creature captured and brought to her, Ranna is the one to do it. She usually tracks her targets as an unassuming humanoid until she can set up an ambush and remove her greater hat of disguise. Ranna fights with her natural weapons almost exclusively, although she does occasionally toy with targets by battering them with heavy objects hurled by telekinesis. Although she is lapdog-loyal to Doctor Shiny and always follows her instructions for her specified victims, Ranna enjoys collateral damage, which usually involves biting bystanders. She views any red slaadi that are created through chaos phagethe way a proud parent views their children, and is happy to hear of any death and destruction they create.
Ranna’s personality is playful in a cruel way. She sees her progenitor, Marina Rhinne, as a pathetic figure, and has an air of contempt towards academic pursuits in general. She still appears as Rhynne when abroad in Absalom, and is the terror of Endirion School’s faculty, staff and students as Doctor Shiny’s personal assistant. Ranna is happy to play the bad guy so that Doctor Shiny can maintain her impeccable public reputation, and takes matters into her own claws if anyone gets too close to the truth about Doctor Shiny’s goals and activities. Ranna tends to dispose of the evidence of her murders by eating the corpses of her victims. She is also an excellent chef. Doctor Shiny does not eat food that Ranna prepares unless she is very sure of where the meat came from.

How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?
She is quite affectionate towards you, especially with physical contact. She enjoys being physically close with you and won't hesitate to show you affection in public, whether by holding your hand, wrapping her arm around yours, or kissing you.
Her main love language remains the giving of gifts of all kinds. She likes to give you physical proof of her love so that you can have tangible objects to remind you how much she cares about you or your times together.
𝐁 = 𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃
What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?
Don't think she'll have any remorse for scamming you

You met on Thriller Bark. More precisely, she first met your shadow in the body of one of Doctor Hogback's zombies. Indeed, you were with Laura when she was looking for Nami in order to kill her for having stolen her lover. After many adventures where Nami ended up getting closer to your zombie self and the warthog zombie, you were killed by Absalom. Saddened by your death, she was surprised when, before her departure, she found your human self with the human Laura in the Rolling Pirates crew. Your human self immediately got along as well with the Straw Hat Pirates (and Nami) as your zombie self did, so you left your old crew to go to sea with them.

𝐂 = 𝐂𝐔𝐃𝐃𝐋𝐄𝐒
Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?
She's completely okay with that. However, she still needs her space. She is an independent woman who grew up on her own and who, although she greatly appreciates the cuddles she was deprived of growing up, also likes having her moments alone.
Like a cat, she tolerates you more or less well when you come to her, but it's mainly her who chooses if she's in the mood to receive your attention. So you sometimes find yourself with a cuddly Nami who comes and sits on your lap or, other times, she gives you the cold shoulder because it's not the right moment for her.
𝐃 = 𝐃𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐂
Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?
She agrees to settle down but not before fulfilling her dream.
Moreover, rather than settling down with you, it's above all the prospect of creating her own family that makes her dream. Like Bell-mère, she would like to take in orphaned children later in order to raise them like her adoptive mother did. She sincerely wishes to be able to give them as much love and determination as she received when she was younger, with the aim of honoring her mother.
𝐄 = 𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆
If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?
She wouldn't want to be in the wrong role so she would tend to become horrible to you with the intention that you would be the one to break up with her.
She would forget your birthdays, set you up on dates and never come or she would purposely make you jealous. Her attention to you will become almost zero and, if you try to talk to her about the problem, she will deny it outright. She won't feel particularly proud or ashamed of acting like this, she just doesn't want to be the person who gives you "breakup victim" status at her expense.
𝐅 = 𝐅𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄(𝐄)
How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?
She's okay with that. She loves you and flirting with others is only a means to an end so why not marry you?
However, expect to find her from time to time without her wedding ring on her finger. She will not hesitate to take it off so she can seduce her targets and not let them slip through her fingers just because she is already married.
𝐆 = 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐋𝐄
How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?
Surprisingly, she is one of the least physically gentle of the crew. She's the only one who won't hesitate for a single second to punch you or give you dramatic slaps to make her point. However, these are just one-shots that always have valid justification.
Emotionally, however, she is one of the nicest. She is very attentive to your feelings and will be very interested in your mental well-being.
𝐇 = 𝐇𝐔𝐆𝐒
Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?
She enjoys hugs when she's in the mood, and it happens very regularly. Her hugs are generally quite light and are mainly used to relax her or just for fun but, if she becomes more melancholy thinking of Bell-mère, Nojiko or Cocoyasi for example, they will be a real source of comfort for her.
Then expect to find yourself with a Nami wrapped around you who will refuse to let go of you until she feels a little better. And that means preventing you from doing your daily tasks.
𝐈 = 𝐈 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔
How fast do they say the L-word?
It takes a while. However, once she really trusts you and feels secure enough in your relationship, she will tell you. Not often, unfortunately, but at key moments.
𝐉 = 𝐉𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐘
How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?
She can get jealous quite easily but she won't let you know right away.
If she thinks someone is paying too much attention to you for her liking and you don't seem to be cooling them down quickly, she will first try to take your attention away from them. She will then insert herself into the conversation before offering you to extend it further, just the two of you, by accompanying her to do the first activity that comes to her mind. But, if you don't pick up the signals, goodbye to you because she will become colder than the 5th level of Impel Down. You'll get the cold shoulder for weeks and it's not your excuses that will change much.
𝐊 = 𝐊𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐒
What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?
Her favorite place to kiss you is on your cheeks.
Strangely, she enjoys kissing you there when you're already cuddling. You're already in her arms so it's easy for her to bring your face back towards her while placing her lips against your cheek before pulling away and sinking deeper into the hug. This fairly domestic side pleases her quite well.
𝐋 = 𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒
How are they around children?
She defends children tooth and nail like a mother lioness.
For her family, she will imitate as best she can the behavior that Bell-mère had towards her and Nojiko. She will want to be strong, pass on her values to them (you will not kill, but stealing is okay), and above all, never make them doubt her love. She will protect them with her life if she has to.
𝐌 = 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆
How are mornings spent with them?
It's sweet.
She will tend to like to stay in bed with you a little longer to cuddle and go back to sleep, so she prefers that you both sleep in her bed in her room. It's the place where she's most comfortable and, besides, Robin usually gets out as soon as she's awake to leave the room for the two of you to wake up in peace.
𝐍 = 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓
How are nights spent with them?
She is relatively quiet apart from a few changes of position during the night. However, she also doesn't snore or move around excessively, so it's okay.
You just have to be careful that she doesn't take up all the space by placing herself in the middle of the bed throughout the night. It sometimes happens to her to monopolize it and end up pushing you towards the edges if she is not in your arms or you in hers.
𝐎 = 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐍
When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?
At first she wouldn't say anything. You will learn from the Straw Hat Pirates that she had been in Arlong's crew after they took her childhood village and its inhabitants hostage. And also that it was they who had saved her by defeating Arlang and his group. She didn't care if others talked to you about it.
After a certain point though, when she will truly trusts you, she will become an open book. She will tell you about her childhood, her thoughts and her worries. You will become one of her main supports in her life and an attentive ear.
𝐏 = 𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄
How easily angered are they?
It's not just her attacks that go at lightning speed!
𝐐 = 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐙𝐙𝐄𝐒
How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?
She is very observant and will always pay close attention to what you say or do.
So, she remembers a lot of facts about you and will be the kind of person who can differentiate all the people in your life before the Straw Hat Pirates and how they would be related to you. At first, it would make you doubt yourself about how much you talk about yourself or if you repeat yourself so that she knows so much but, very quickly, you will realize that it is simply that she puts a point of honor into always knowing more about you.
𝐑 = 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑
What is their favorite moment in your relationship?
She was working on a map in the library when she realized that she was almost out of her favorite ink that she used to color her compass rose. She regretted this color, which had become her favorite shade of orange, because it was difficult to find due to the fact that it was made from a crushed root only found at a certain time of the year on a handful of West Blue Islands.
Over the weeks that followed, she could only watch helplessly as her bottle emptied. This shade was not essential and had mostly been a fad of the moment. This time however, she decided to buy some cheap orange ink that she would find on the next island.
But one fine morning, as she sat behind her desk, she saw a new glass jar among the old ones. She recognized her favorite shade at first glance but, not believing her eyes, she dipped her pen in it anyway before drawing a line on a blank sheet of paper. It was the right shade. She then noticed that the gift was accompanied by a little note from you.
Happy, she smiles.
𝐒 = 𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐘
How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?
N.O.P.E
She love you but, unless you are seriously injured or unable to fight and then she will not hesitate for a second to defend you, otherwise you will be her human shield. She’s not part of the Weakling Trio for nothing!
So she likes it when you protect her during fights or in dangerous situations in general.
𝐓 = 𝐓𝐑𝐘
How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?
She would make a lot of effort for your relationship whether it be for dates, anniversaries or even gifts. She makes a point of finding objects or activities that you will like or that are best suited to you. She will also make an effort at everyday tasks.
On the other hand, this means that she also expects a lot from you. Don't expect her to accept half-planned dates, anniversaries celebrated at 11:50 p.m., or general and basic gifts. She wants your attentions to be as thorough, incredible and personalized as what she would have done for you.
𝐔 = 𝐔𝐆𝐋𝐘
What would be some bad habits of theirs?
The importance of money in her life is immense. And that’s an understatement!
Where she could be nice in real life, money makes her take on another personality that is much less attractive or pleasant. She will become more opportunistic, shameless, and unpredictable, even if it means embarrassing you. During your adventures, you will see her accepting the stupidest bets just in order to win more money even though you know full well that she has tons of it. You also don't approve of the abusive debt that certain members of the crew have towards her.
And, even though you know she would give her money if it saved one of her friends, you still remain very bothered by this obsession.
𝐕 = 𝐕𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐘
How concerned are they with their looks?
The attention she pays to her looks is just insane: she's a fashionista and she doesn't hide it! Each time you arrive on a new island with boutiques, she will take you around them with her—welcome to your role as a mule—in order to find new treasures to expand her wardrobe.
However, when it comes to dressing, only her opinion counts. She always appreciates your compliments on her outfits but they are secondary because she only dresses for her personal happiness.
𝐖 = 𝐖𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐄
Would they feel incomplete without you?
No. She will most certainly miss you a lot but she will never feel incomplete because of another human being.
𝐗 = 𝐗𝐓𝐑𝐀
A random headcanon for them
✧ She was walking past a jewelry store one day when she noticed two assorted rings that looked particularly beautiful in the window.
✧ She bought them without even thinking about it and then found herself with the couple's jewelry. She gave you one.
✧ She realized that day that, for some reason unknown even to her, she had a real weakness for couples accessories. She may have liked the fact that you had something in common but she's still not very sure.
𝐘 = 𝐘𝐔𝐂𝐊
What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?
She refuses to be with someone who doesn't care about their appearance. She agrees that not everyone necessarily loves clothes and fashion as much as she does, but she is uncompromising about taking care of their image. There is no way she will be with someone who has poor hygiene, like Zoro, or who doesn't look neat (proper and clean haircut, neat nails, clean clothes without holes in public, etc.).
Another little paradox she has is that she will be very annoyed that you spend money on yourself (food, clothes, fun) but at the same time she will greatly appreciate you spending money on her (dates or gifts). This leads to somewhat awkward situations when you want to surprise her and therefore have to ask her for money before setting foot on land. At the time, you will be treated with a darker look than the Yami Yami no Mi's user (Dark-Dark Fruit) and yet, the moment you surprise her, she will be over the moon.
𝐙 = 𝐙𝐙𝐙
What is a sleep habits of theirs?
She tends, if you don't cuddle up at night, to gradually settle in the middle of the bed and steal the blanket.
At first, she will go quietly to her side but she will end up falling asleep and therefore moving towards the center of the bed while at the same time pushing you to the end of your side. You had already fallen off the mattress in the middle of the night and woke up, completely disoriented, only to realize that she had stolen the entire place and the duvet.

OC MASTERPOST WOOHOO ⭐
Although there's still a lot to plan and do before this story is anywhere near done and I don't even have a first draft yet, I really wanted to talk about it and share who my OCs are (since i keep talking about them in here).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This story (called Ewordis) is one of necromancy, otherness and isolation, but it's also about love, saving and connection!
The main character is Absalom García Medina (much to his own dismay). He is 22 years old and studies fine art in university. He's also a drummer in a band with his two closest friends. Absalom comes from a long line of necromancers! He doesn't really understand or control his powers, but he's set on his goal of finding his mother's spirit, which he has never been able to do!
Almudena is Absalom's grandmother, who raised him when Alma (her daughter), passed away. They are both also necromancers. Almudena taught Absalom how to use his powers until she died when Absalom was 12. She's still with him as a spirit.
Alma died in labor. Not only was she a necromancer, but she also had prophetic visions, something not common in their family. Neither Absalom nor Almudena have ever found her soul.
Angel is Absalom's best friend since they were in higschool. They take care and support each other through everything. Angel has a beautiful voice and she can play many instruments. She's the singer, songwriter and guitarist of their band.
Naomi met Angel and Absalom when they were looking for a bassist for their band. They became close soon and shortly after he started dating Angel!
Percy is Absalom's ex boyfriend. Their relationship was rocky and difficult, which really affected Absalom. They still see each other sometimes, but Percy doesn't seem to be willing to change for the better as a person, which is why Angel dislikes him and wants him to stay away from her best friend.
Ozzie is a non human creature that Absalom meets in the realm between life and death. Ozzie doesn't remember anything of his life before appearing there and he can't go to the living realm, so he and Absalom decide to find out what he is.
Victor also comes from a line of necromancers. He meets Absalom in a graveyard, after many spirits warn Absalom of a creature eating their corpses there. That would be Victor! Victor was brought back to life by his necromancer abusive father and now he's forced to feed on human flesh to not become a mindless "monster".
The Knight of Death is one of the Horrors. No one really knows of their existence, but necromancy powers are related to the Horror of Death. How is it related to the Medina Family? What will Absalom do when faced to this Knight?
LONGER EXPLANATION BELOW THE CUT
As I said before, Absalom comes from a long line of necromancers, this gift/curse always passes down to one person in the family. He got it from his mother, Alma, and she got it from hers, Almudena. Alma died in labor so Absalom was raised in a small close-minded village by his grandmother. Since it was little, Absalom has been able to see and communicate with the dead. Almudena taught him how to use his powers and insisted that this is a gift that makes them special. Nevertheless, she also taught him to hide it to avoid rejection from people outside their family. Even with their powers, there was something neither Absalom nor his grandmother were ever able to do: find Alma's soul.
When Absalom is 12, Almudena dies and Absalom, unable to find her either and suspecting her dead is related to the necromancy, blames their power for it. And so he starts seeing this power as a curse instead of a gift. Something that he doesn't truly control nor understand, something that scares him and isolates him. Absalom goes to live in a bigger city with his uncle. It spends a few rough years feeling alone and othered until, at 15, he meets Angel! They bond over their mutual love for music, being rejects in their school and their queerness. During their teenage years they both join a few bands and, finally, at 19-20, they decide to create their own music band, with Angel as the songer-guitarist and Absalom as the drummer. They are on the look out for a bassits when they meet Naomi. They quickly click and Naomi becomes the third member of TTT (Tres Tristes Trigres). A few months later, Naomi and Angel start dating! Playing with them is one of Absalom's favorite things in the world, and he trusts them more than anyone else. Nevertheless, he never tells them about his necromancy but they do notice weird, worrying things about him.
At 19-20, Absalom meets Percy after bumping into him a few times in campus and in local concerts. They hit it off immediately and start dating shortly after that. They're both interested in music and art. At first, their relationship seems perfect. Absalom (who's in the aro spectrum) falls in love for the first time and he feels really happy and loved, something he has truly struggled with for all his life. As time goes by, their relationship starts to get rocky, they fight and argue a lot, but they always go back to each other. Their relationship ends up beng really toxic on both sides. Percy is manipulative and cheats on him and Absalom is jealous and desperate for this idyllic love and comfort they had at first. But, thanks to Angel and Naomi's support, Absalom breaks up with him after dating for a year and half. During the time they were dating, Percy started noticing a few odd things that surround Absalom, like weird aggresive energies around them after they fought. No matter how many times Angel warns Absalom against it, sometimes, when it feels lonely, it goes back to Percy, looking for momentary comfort.
Regarding the necromancy gift/curse. Its origins are uncertain to the family but what does it exactlty allow them to do? The Medina family (or at least those that inherit it) can see spirits in their daily life and communicate with them (spirits may appear everywhere and they mostly can tell when someone is able to see them so they may follow necromancers around, there's more spirits in places like graveyards tho; they don't really have that much consciousness, except for the spirits of necromancers, like Almudena, who Absalom will be able to find at some point). Thanks to this power they can also search for (and most of the time) find the spirit of a specific person (but still, Absalom is never able to find Alma, which tortures him). Another thing that they can do is enter Ewordis.
Ewordis is the realm between life and death (but closer to death, as no living creatures can enter it, except for some necromancers). Ewordis is a inmense white space full of mostly nothingness and some spirits where time doesn't really exist. Absalom hides there when he gets too overwhelmed by real life, thinking that avoiding reality helps him. When he enters Ewordis, his real body is frozen in time, so he can stay there for days or weeks without truly noticing. But time itself doesn't stop. This has lead to his friends worrying after not hearing of him for days in more than one occasion. Isolating himself in Ewordis like this is something that Absalom does to cope when he is really really bad and he tells no one about it. He doesn't really understand what this realm truly is, nor where does it lead. What are the secrets that hide beyond this seemingly vast white empty unreal territory?
One day, after Absalom's mental health worsens and he goes back to hiding in Ewordis, he meets, for the first time, a demon-looking huge guy! Absalom is shocked, because he did not know of the existence of creatures like him. This "demon" tells him he remembers nothing of before being in Ewordis and that he himself doesn't know what he is. They keep bumping into each other when Absalom enter Ewordis, and it notices that this demon must be lonely. They talk a lot and become friends, and Absalom tells him about his life in the living realm. He ends up naming the demon Ozzie, after one of his favorite movies: "The Wizard of Oz". They decide to try and find out what Ozzie is.
After many spirits start following Absalom around and telling him about a monster eating their corpses in a graveyard, Absalom decides to investigate and get rid of all of them. Not really because he wants to help them, but because he wants to be left alone. He goes to the graveyard at night and he founds a thin young man crying next to an open grave. When he sees Absalom, he runs away. This young man is Victor. Victor also comes from one of the few necromancers families left. Their powers are different to those of the Medina family tho, since they are more related to the pyshical body and flesh than to the spirit. He was alive many years ago and he lived with his two siblings and his abusive father. Victor killed himself to escape his father but he brought him back, mixing his body and soul with those of other corpses. Now Victor is forced to feed on human corpses to keep their conscience. Victor loathes his father, who keeps him locked in their old mansion and forces him to keep himself alive. Thanks to his powers, his father has kept himself and his children alive for many many years.
Necromancy powers are directly related to the Horror of Death. There are many Horrors related to different aspects of existence. The Horrors are cosmic entities beyond human comprehension. More ancient that everything. They are neutral entities, not bad nor good. They just exist and keep balance. They have no human morality or feelings. Or at least, that's how it should be. So why can't Absalom die? Who protects him and why? Where is Alma's soul? Who are the other Horrors and how do their existence affect the characters lives?

say what you want about absalom but oda, the guy who loves milking a death for everything its worth, killing absalom off-screen with barely two seconds given to the reveal is objectively the funniest thing he could have done with the character

Elucea: Taehyung, what am I looking at? Is this some sort of joke? Why did you have me painted into this portrait?
Taehyung: That's not you. Well she is but not you now.
Elucea: Tae, you're not making any sense, you're not. I'm assuming that's Absalom, he looks similar to the man in the other painting but both people were in profile in that one so I could be wrong.
Taehyung: No, you're right. This is Absalom and his Mate . . . Elucea.
Elucea: YOU SUGGESTED TO MY MOTHER TO NAME ME AFTER HER!?
Taehyung: I gave you your name back. You are her reborn. I just didn't know about the possibly being an Atlantean Princess part until after your death and my brother started collecting stories on our travels, too many of them making too much sense to have not been about you. I still don't fully believe it. There's something else you should know
Elucea: No Tae I don't think I can handle something else right now. I can't even handle this. Please tell me it's Prank Day and I missed the notification.
Taehyung: It's not Prank Day My Love. Please look at me

So... once again thinking about the Darksiders characters if they were implemented into a MOBA. Sorry if this is a tired idea to anybody. It's just, with playing Wild Rift, it gets me thinking, and Darksiders is one of my favorite video game series, so sometimes thoughts just form together.
I was thinking about passives and got an idea while trying out Tryndamere. Maybe for the Horsemen, just like how Tryndamere generates "Fury," the Horsemen generate "Wrath." I don't think it's a bad idea, considering in the Darksiders games "Wrath" can be generated when in combat just like "Fury" is for Tryndamere.
Tryndamere isn't the only one with "Fury" in LoL either. Renekton and Shyvana also do use "Fury," just in different ways to Tryndamere. So, maybe "Wrath" is generated differently for each Horseman. Using the Rider of the Black Horse as an example, Fury could say generate "Wrath" in a similar way to Shyvana, where her abilities are based on how long they cool down and her "Wrath" is what is used for her Ultimate. Meanwhile, War and Death could take inspiration from Renekton and Tryndamere. War could generate "Wrath" and for his next basic ability will get an empowered effect once enough is stored, while Death when generating "Wrath," depending on the amount, could get a higher chance for a critical strike. Now, that just leaves Strife. He's a bit harder to figure out. His "Wrath" would be generated in combat just like the other Horsemen, but what extra effect could it have, if needed? I'm stumped. Oh, or maybe Strife is the one with "Wrath" related to his Ultimate while Fury share "Wrath" use similar to War or Death.
Now, what of other Darksiders characters? Would they use "Wrath?" I think that could depend. As part of a hypothetical passive in a MOBA, maybe it could work, while others I could see as having a Mana bar like Ekko, or an Energy bar like Akali. Depends on their personality, I guess. Or some could just be baseline Manaless, all their abilities being a bit more based on cool downs.
Someone like Absalom would probably also have "Wrath," while someone like Azrael would probably have Mana. Don't know what characters could use Energy though, not many feel like they have abilities built around doinf things quickly like Kennen, Akali, Shen, or Zed. Funny idea I just had while typing this is maybe The Hunter from Darksiders 2 having Ferocity, just like Rengar... I'm joking! That could probably fit Samael? Ulthane's abilities I could see being purely based on cool downs.
Speaking of Ulthane, what could his passive and abilities be? I think his passive could be a Living Forge type of deal similar to Ornn from League, where he can forge his own items on the battlefield instead of always having to return to base, and at least one of his abilities has to be throwing his hammer, while another could be a type of charge/dash, while maybe another could be something like throwing a powerful enough haymaker it sends out a shockwave, and I have no idea at the moment what his Ultimate could be. Now, some may be asking, "Why a powerful haymaker that can create shockwaves?" Simple enough answer. Considering War needed the Tremor Gauntlet to open heavy doors and lift Ulthane's hammer in Darksiders 1, a Gauntlet that can allow War to create shockwaves on the ground with a certain move, who's to say Ulthane can't be strong enough to do something similar? Or maybe it could be a Thunderclap, similar to what the Incredible Hulk can do?
Anyways, this is feeling like it's getting a bit long, and I am up bit late as I am writing this, so I will return to this later and try coming up with more ideas at some point. Hope you all enjoyed this and hey, if you got ideas you wish to add, that's cool.

Destroyer - Writing Order Masterpost
🛸 Destroyer is a sci-fi story about a telekinetic living weapon called Δ-107, or Delta for short, who is controlled by an evil space empire. The story takes place immediately following the death of the old Emperor and explores the ensuing succession crisis. Delta is inherited by the Emperor’s only son, the crown prince Paris of Thales, and lives aboard his battleship.
🌟 Rubies is a direct sequel to Destroyer. It is focused on Delta's life after captivity and deals with the aftermath of severe conditioning and abuse.
💥 Crash Out is also a direct sequel to Destroyer! Ex-prince on the lam with his best friend. Learning life lessons??? Maybe??? It’s the worst road trip ever.
The following is the writing order masterlist for all three series, since I'm jumping around eras a lot now :)

I'd love to hear your thoughts on King David (the musical) by Alan Menken and Tim Rice :)
I love Tim Rice/Alan Menken version! My favorite song of the whole musical is "The Death of Saul" and "Hunted Partridge on the Hill". I really want to make animatics from it!
Though the musical is not perfect and has some faults that I criticize. I did mention it in my "Gayest David Adaptations" review! However, I mostly focused on the relationship and the portrayal of David and Jonathan's relationship, but it also highlights the irony of changes that they made to make David into the "perfect hero" character.
Long story short, the changes that they made from the original story were to make David look better. A good example is how they depict Bathsheba and even Absalom. That Bathsheba and David have a long love ballad about how much they love each other and bla bla bla bka bla . And then they remove the whole Tamar incident and have Absalom's motivation to be instead of him feeling jealousy over Solomon's birth. Which also makes Absalom viewed more "unlikable".
