So I'll tell you right away, I appreciate yall's blog and everthing you're doing to break down the stigmas that seem to dog us everywhere we go. I saw some people over here talkin bout not being able to go back home, and I feel that real close to my heart. I'm originally from Appalachia (WNC) myself, and I left just over three years ago now for the PNW. I'm unable to go back at the moment, but I sure do miss it ever day. Even for the people who gave me a hard time for bein queer and ex-christian and the whole bit- especially cause a lotta people were real supportive despite it all. Y'all are doin the good work.

the last bit there is funny you should mention it bc i was literally just talking to another (appalachian) friend about how for every shitass racist repub asshole that the entire nation thinks solely populates this region, i have known 20 more people who are just like me. queer, non-christian left leaning individuals who are genuinely good people just trying to live and be good to one another, and to make the changes and break the curses where we can. hell ive even had christian friends who were genuinely christlike, loving individuals who were always kind to me even though i was visibly queer.

i hope one day you can return home if that's something you'd like to do. we ain't going nowhere <3

Can people just be nice to Billy (and his fans)? Or like, figure out his character and story themselves by using the basic context clues? He was abused, very badly, and he's been through some rough shit. You might say "oH wELL sO hAvE thE rEst Of thE GrOUp" no. They have friends. It's a massive friend group who are there to support each other. Billy on the other hand has NOBODY- and I mean NOBODY- to turn to. It's so fucking hard to deal with something like that.

Oh my god this is a Billy rant now.

ALSO, he's not even that bad compared to some of the others. Here's some characters who were worse than him at some point:

Steve was awful to Nancy for like an entire season. Mike and Lucas were awful to Max at first. Lucas was awful to Dustin when he kept Dart. Mike has been and still is awful to Will (don't even need to explain that). Lucas was awful to Eleven at first because he thought she didn't belong in their party and she would ruin everything. Hopper was borderline abusive to both Eleven AND Joyce AND Mike. There are probably more I'm not thinking of, but you get the point.

Also also, Billy isn't racist. Genuinely, I don't see where people got that. "He pushed Lucas against a wall and yelled at him" oh yeah? Well right after that he beat up Steve. And I mean BEAT UP. Smashed plated over his head and shit. "He told max to stay away from him, so he's racist." No. The only interactions he had EVER seen between Max and Lucas was them fighting or Lucas yelling at her. He meant to stay away from him as in "stay away from dangerous people" (abusive people. Because he thought Lucas was being abusive just like Billy's father had been to him.)

Not to mention, he literally sacrificed his LIFE just to help the kids. Just to save El. Without hesitation.

AND all of the Billy antis conveniently seem to forget he was being gr**med by Mike's own mother. Karen fucking Wheeler. "OhH bUt sHe DiDnT EnD uP GoiNG" SHE STARED RIGHT AT HER HUSBAND AND CHILD AND STILL CONSIDERED GOING ON A DATE WITH THIS HIGH SCHOOL BOY.

By the way, the Billy Hargrove fandom is literally the nicest most supportive and amazing group I've ever been in. It shocks me sometimes how great you guys all are. We all support each other and love each other and we don't let the massive amounts of hate ruin that.

In conclusion, Billy is absolutely the best character in the show. He's been my favorite since he stepped out of that car. I love him so much. I just wanna give him a hug and tell him how important he is. How much he's loved. How much what he did really mattered. How much he helped. He's the best and the Billy antis can suck it.

(Btw this is just from what I know. Some people have said there was other stuff I didn't know about but I'm saying these things based purely on what happened in the show and in the show alone. Hi! May i ask what‘s your take on the taennie rumors? I swear I‘m just asking out of curiosity not hate or anything! here’s the thing, y/n

with the recent years, ike’s tendency to just think about you every waking moment getting worse, it becomes a bit too much

he had to word it out

not to you of course, that’d be disastrous

so what does he do?

he writes

he pours his heart out, about the nights where he stayed awake thinking, and about the times where he manages to sleep and only dreams of you instead

about the moments where he can hold you freely, where he can place a chaste kiss on your forehead to just express how precious you are to him

and even before ike could realize it, the clock shows him the numbers of the late hour

and the notes before him, his feelings sprawled out in his handwriting in a form of a poem

well, it was a poem that early morning of 1 am, it slowly became a song over the next few days though

“i’m doomed, i swear,” ike sighs, looking at his sheet notes and the lyrics above it

but he was glad

he was somewhat proud of himself for having able to finally word and sort his feelings out like this

although he couldn’t exactly send these words to you, perhaps he didn’t have to directly

so, ike decides to make it his new project

and he plans to post it to his youtube as a another original song of his

one, for the growth of his channel but most importantly, to get that indirect closure

in a way, he would be saying to the world how much he loved you

of course, like any good artist would! it was only natural that you asked as many questions as possible right?

ike understood that and now that he’s thinking about it, enlisting your help might’ve been a mistake

“oh dear me,” ike groans as he finally logs off discord from the mental torture

but he simply couldn’t resist

he loved what you did with his first video and with every artwork you release, be it of your own accord or the collaboration with other people, ike craved to see more

art was the amalgamation of one’s self, wasn’t it? looking at yours made him feel closer to you

how ridiculous it truly was

he can read how the characters will move about and narrate his song

ike falls again with every swipe of a new frame draft

in his mind, it was supposed to be you obviously

it had been a few weeks since, with great progress every time you or him mentioned the project

during calls, ike can tell how much of your passion is overflowing as you spoke about the designs or the illustration making so far

and it hurts him to know how you have yet to notice

it might just be him, but he’s been losing more and more sleep the more he thinks about the project and you altogether

ike might as well be digging a hole for his own grave

even the quilldren has started to notice with his shorter streams

“hey, ike?” you called out as you laid sprawled out on his couch

“hm?” ike hums, raising his head and stopping in the middle of his work to pay attention to you

it was another regular day of you dropping by his house, resting for the week before it began again

“have i ever told you that your song is what i’m going through too?”

what?

ike places down his quill, now properly looking at you as his heart continued to sink. “no, you haven’t.”

you laugh, not out of amusement but… bitterness. “well, i am. i’ve been listening to it so much because of the project. i’m not getting bored of it, of course not. but… i’ve come to realize just how much the main character reminds me of myself.”

you raise your hand up out of spite, wiggling your fingers around in the air

“i’m scared. i’m scared of losing them. i wanna tell them how i feel, but… yeah, i’m so worried that i’ll only scare them away,” you drop your hand again and look at ike

them? ike thought

in the slight glimmer of the room’s light, he can see your eyes glossing over and a great pain tugs at his heart upon sensing your distress

and despite the raising questions in his head, he gets up, a little too quickly as he approached you

he sits on the floor facing where you lay on his couch with the most hurt frown on his face upon seeing your sorrow

“hey, are you okay?” he gently asked you

“i wish i could tell them, ike,” the tears finally spill from your ears as you hiccup. “how much i love them. it’s killing me inside.”

i wish i could too

but there you were, pining over someone else that wasn’t him

as much as you were hurting, ike was torn apart inside as well

how he could aid someone who was hurting when he himself was broken?

“h-hey, i’m sorry you’re going through this right now. and i hate knowing my song triggered these feelings,” ike reached for your hand as he rubbed them softly. “do you want to take a break from the project? you don’t have to rush anything, i promise.”

you sniffled, wiping away a tear. “no, i’ll be fine. i just got carried away there. i can still work.”

but the pain was still evident in your eyes and no matter what you said, ike wasn’t going to let it go

“y/n,” he grips your hands tighter, making you stop to look at him. “i don’t want to see you hurt yourself like this. if you really are tired, tell me. i absolutely don’t mind. i value your health and happiness over everything else.”

silence clouds over the two of you and all ike could hear was the wild beating of his heart

with your break, ike understood as to why you had to be quiet and been contacting him less and less

the project was a relatively long term assignment so it must’ve taken some toll on you

but how is it with you being silent, not asking questions about the song making him feel worse?

during streams, he’d often get lose in his own thoughts

were you okay? were you avoiding him really because of the break? were you still in a bad place?

who was this other person you wished you could confess to?

was there a chance it could be him?

he’d be gaming and continuously lose, always because of lack of focus

at first, chat thought he was just super bad at the game he was doing or if he’s just not feeling it today

but as he continues to randomly be quiet in free chat streams and other games throughout the week

most times, the only way to bring him back would be to send him a super chat that could alert ike

“o-oh, sorry guys,” he’d apologize, shaking his head and continuing what was meant to happen that stream

it gets so bad that the quilldren resorts to calling other nijisanji members

“milord, ike is in danger. oh no what’s going on?”

or whoever it was that was live with him at the same time

they’d notice after ike didn’t read their messages and have to alternatively call him on discord

“i-i’m fine! sorry to have bothered you guys…”

and ike never fails to feel bad for having his co workers and own audience snap him out of it when he should be doing his job

“ike, maybe you should take a break from streaming for a bit,” vox advises him one day on a discord call they had

at that time, it had gotten pretty bad with the streams being worryingly too short and him zoning out every ten minutes

“no, i’ll be fine. i just… haven’t been focusing enough.”

“is something wrong? bothering you?”

“lack of sleep i guess,” ike smiles through his teeth

vox on the other line merely sighs, “then you should get a few days off to get that sleep in. so long as you stream 3 times, you can rest until the end of the week.”

remembering the exact same conversation he had with you a week back, maybe it was for the best

else, he was gonna go insane

“alright, fine,” ike lets out an exhausted sigh, thanking vox for his company before shutting off his devices for the night

but there he goes, opening his phone and replaying his own song over and over again as if he hadn’t been bothered already

it was because of this damn thing he’s like this

it was because of you he’s messing up like this

ike then suddenly hears the doorbell to his apartment ring

begrudgingly, he gets out of bed and gets ready to curse whoever dares disturb him in his depressed state—

“what’s up?” ike asks, scratching the back of his head rather embarrassedly

despite everything, despite you being the cause of it all, ike still can’t help but laugh. he moves aside to let you charge in

he’s so afraid of the rejection

he’s so afraid he was gonna lose you entirely, scared by his feelings

- legend did Not like warriors when they first met. hed definitely go a bit too far in insults (tho he kinda did that w most of them), though it was mostly jabs about military things and less about warriors himself

- when warriors starts playing along and lightheartedly answering legend's jabs back cues the start of a ~ beautiful friendship ~ and legend eases up on his more genuine insults

- legend and warriors end up having late night conversations when one of them is awake during the other's shift. its not rare for it to happen by any means, but it is uncommon so they enjoy the time when they can. this is usually when more of the more delirious comments and banter comes out to play. its one of those talks you have with your friend at 1-6am that starts with casual conversation, takes a sharp turn to trauma, and then dissolves into sleepy delirium

- sometimes they're just sitting together silently at night and one of them catches the other's eye and they both start fucking cackling for no reason. they settle down and then one of them fuckin giggles and they dissolve into a fucking fit of laughter again until someone tells them to shut up. (they do not shut up.)

- they fight so seamlessly together. its REALLY damn cool. you could swear theyve done this before, but in reality they just understand what the other person is thinking and a Look one of them shoots at the other just kinda spells everything out. all the plans and ideas - they know each other well enough to adapt to what the other person is doing and they definitely trust one another to pull off some of the more crazy stunts legend or warriors have thought up during a battle. if one of them says "duck" they do not fucking hesitate.

- very quickly, though not very easily, warriors becomes one of the first people legend goes to to confide in. if he does not want something sugarcoated, warriors is (one of) his best bets for that. it also goes the other way - legend does not sugarcoat anything and will readily tell warriors if hes being stupid.

- they both are very good at balancing seriousness and lighthearted comments, but theyre also capable of being Very Serious if a situation calls for it.

- warriors is very aware that legend could absolutely beat his ass. warriors is VERY aware that legend, when the vet is In The Zone, could absolutely fuck every single one of them up. he is very supportive of him. hes also very glad legend is on their side, especially when he witnesses the guy absolutely knock out a few black blooded monsters on his own.

- legend has definitely beaten warriors ass in many spar sessions and warriors always says he cheats or fought dirty. legend disagrees <3 u just suck, bro, get good :///

- warriors and legend bet but most of the time neither of them actually follow through with the bet's prize so sometimes theyll come up with the funniest fucking prizes and then say shit like "hey you owe me fifty bees, remember?" or "you still owe me half your inventory" or "dont i get to have the next [sweet food/good item] you get/are given?"

- just wait til you hear about the time warriors got legend to go swimming/run around with him in the rain. (not a lightning storm, but it was heavy rain. its very nice btw.)

- just wait til you hear about the time legend got warriors to sneak into the castle with him. (common, legends done it loads of times. he deserves it. fable doesnt mind anyway)

but ALSO he and Red Prince are childhood friends, they met when they were just little dudes dreaming about being big heroic princes. Wonderland was going thru hard times after the disappearance of the White Queen (one of Red’s mothers because if no one else is gonna shove LGTB+ characters in this bitch then I will) and needed allies, so most of Red Prince’s childhood friends were just strategic relationships to strengthen the bond between different kingdoms and powerful families

Back then, Prince Average was your stereotypical starry eyed hero, boasting about his family’s achievements, on the OTHER HAND tho, Red Prince was a momma’s boy, a crybaby thru and thru. And then you know, typical fairytale stuff happens. 

Red Prince gets cursed for being the wolf who cried wolf, Prince Average decides to focus on being an immature hedonist, they turn into the mean teens who judge your shoes and your lifestyle, develop even more dysfunctional and toxic habits due to untreated trauma, enable each other never change, the usual.

then POOF, some girlboss hottie kills her evil stepmother and gets her very own malewife trophy boy and Prince Average is turned into both a fucking tree and a gremlin dwarf in the span of like, a day or two. So obviously the first thing he does is cry about it and then demand that other people fix it. And by other people I mean Red Prince, who is too busy trying to break his own curse after 7 years of doing nothing but sit on his ass and brood. 

and they get their own 2D Animated Spin Off Show where they go around Fairy Tale Island annoying other popular fairytale characters to find an easy fix for their problems until the F7 and Snow show up to teach them about the importance of independence, agency and responsibility for 2 seasons and bOOM then there’s a MOVIE where they finally break their curses by pure unfiltered self-appreciation and love and friendship, none of that romantic love cliche and also solve the 10 different plotholes from the show
