Living with Vox.. wasn't the easiest. Let alone loving him. Something about him drew you in -- maybe it was his hypnotic gaze, or how he was a blue light screen, always emitting that special kind of light that captivited your little moth brain. Whatever it was used to have a tight hold around you, no matter how much you screamed at him, or him you.

He drilled it into your mind that you were to, 'trust him', and how you were his alone. Perhaps at one time, you found comfort in these words, but, it was an empty sort of comfort. Like hiding under a blanket. Sure, it's warm, soft, but soon becomes unbearable, and suffocating.

For a while you assumed there was no escape. He had his room set to a very cold tempature, not only to cool his own circuits, and the computer screens around, but to keep you from leaving. Moths didn't do well in the cold, so all you could do was wrap yourself up in a blanket or two, and your wings, feverishly rubbing your six hands together

Until the power went out. You soon realized that because the AC had turned off, the room was beginning to warm. Hastily, you stood from your rather comfrtable bed, allowing the duvet to slip off of your shoulders. Head whirrling to the side, causing your antenna to sway with the quick movments, you made your way hastily to the elevator, barefoot, in only a par of shorts, and loose t-shirt,

Frantically, you pressed the 'up' button, no longer caring if Vox were to see you leaving. He'd eventually notice, and find you - he had cameras everywhere, "Fuck-!" You cured, finger aggressively pressing the button

After what seemed like far too long, the elevator began moving up, your wings jolting out slightly at the sudden movement.

Perhaps an eternity passed before the elevator halted, allowing you to cautiously walk out, each step took carefully, as if the floor would collapse at any moment. Maybe it was silly how paranoid you were, mind racing with worries.

Vox had eyes everywhere. He could spy on people through any tech made by his company, cameras -- most things tech related. Which made getting away from his prying gaze even harder. As quick as the thoughts ran through your mind, you began running, out of the building, ignoring the stares from employees - who thankfully gave you nothing more than a glance with a raised eyebrow.

The cool of the air outside hit you like a truck. How long had it been since you'd been outside anyways? Months? Maybe a year or two? You couldn't remember. It was bright. Oh so bright. It all made your head spin, in a good and bad way.

Although you knew it was too soon to be relieved, and feel safe, but how could you not? Finally out of that little pocket of Hell. "Think, {Y/N}!" You internally screamed at yourself, desperately trying to think of a place Vox didn't have cameras.

That was when it hit you. The Hazbin Hotel. You were sure since the Radio demon was there you'd be at least safe from Vox. With this in your mind you ran out the door, past the mass amounts of screens owned by VoxTek. It seemed like hours before you saw the hotel coming closer, and you broke into a faster sprint, despite everything aching badly

Loudly, you rapped your knuckles against the door, with a desperate speed. The door flung open, revealing Alastor himsef. "Well isn't this interesting? Aren't you Vox's little pet?"

The sun was slowly setting over Los Angeles. Most people were just finishing work, like Y/N who was coming back from her afternoon shift. She decided to visit her best friend Fez. She knew that he didn't sell anymore at this hour so she went straight to his house. When she arrived she gently knocked on his door and wait till someone opens. He let her in and asked her 'yo bunny what u doin in here?' he said staring at her and noticing that she's still in her work clothes which meant that she just ended her shift. Y/N smiled at the nickname he called her. He call her 'bunny' all the time, since they met. 'oh I wanted to visit u, we haven't hang out for a while' she said while putting her bag on the floor and sitting on the couch. She lay her head on the backrest and closed her eyes because of tiredness. But she knew Fez was still standing there and just staring at her. 'You're gonna sit next to me or u gonna just stand and stare at me like that' she said with closed eyes. 'Uhh yeah sure I just gotta get somethin from the other room I'll be back inaminit' he said while going to the other room. 'yeah alright' Y/N said with calm voice and still closed eyes. Then after few minutes she felt couch collapsing next to her which means Fez sat next to her. She opened her eyes just to see Fez rolling himself a blunt. She was staring at his hands and then face. He noticed her staring so he turned his head to her and asked 'u wanna hit?' with grin. 'I dunno know I've never done that before' Y/N said with more quiet voice hoping he didn't hear her. But he did. He laughed a bit and said 'well, we all gotta have a first puff righ?' he said smiling at her. Then he light up the blunt and inhale deeply. She was watching him do that, to her it was so attractive. But she never really said that to anyone. Then Fez broke the silence and said 'cmon bunny I know you want it, nothing bad will happen trust me you're with me' the words was so convincing and soothing that without thinking she took the blunt and inhale, trying like him. But then she felt the bitterness and burning in the throat. She started coughing and he passed her some water she didn't know from where he got. She chugged on the water and he started laughing a bit. 'shit bunny I wanted to told u to go slow with it' he said still laughing. 'alright let me hit that, I think I won't cough this time' she said confidently but her mind was buzzing and every word she said or Fezco was turning into echo. She took the blunt and now she did it slowly as Fez told her to. He thought she look so beautiful while doing this that when she exhaled he pulled her into long and passionate kiss. After the kiss she gave him peck on the lips. He took the blunt from her and noticed her eyes are all red. Y/N started getting sleepy from blunt she smoked so she rest her head on Fezco's arm. He noticed it, that she wanted to fall asleep so he lay back on the couch and she lay on top of him with head on his chest. He took the blanket that was next to him and put it on her. After a while he fall asleep too.

it wasn't until eleanor and princess alexandra had reached their teen years that she had been asked to join the palace staff herself as the princess's lady in waiting and she was quick to accept the offer, simply because she had absolutely loved spending time with the princess herself, and figured it meant spending even more time with her. not only that, but it also meant spending more time within the castle walls instead of having to go home afterwards, as she would have a place all to herself within the palace.

whenever eleanor isn't busy with her lady in waiting duties, one would usually find the young woman at the palace garden, as she had always been fascinated by flowers; it was something she had shared with her biological mother. although she was deeply unaware of that, because as previously stated, she believed she was the winthrop's biological child since birth.

Not to sound like a person who actually cares about children, but it's so alarming that there's this tendency and trend of not telling kids about their medical conditions that are in their charts.

I'm finding out as an adult that they (though it's not documented who) diagnosed me with a life-long, chronic condition without telling me when I was a teenager. I found out recently when I got curious about my medical charts, and otherwise, I would not have known what's wrong with me. I've been left with more questions than answers, and I feel like a private investigator investigating my own damn health and life.

Is this medical malpractice? Yes. However, I think it also speaks to a broader point of how children are seen to not be entitled to their own lives in any capacity, to the point where they are (intentionally or not) made ignorant about things that are or will affect them.

Friendly reminder to listen VERY VERY CRITICALLY if someone tries to convince you not to register for federal disaster assistance following a declared disaster. Helene is still moving north and I see the usual rants picking up steam already.

That person trying to win social commentary points online is not your friend. That person can’t give you funds for house repair or to restock on food and meds. And if they say they can - that is a scammer and not someone you can trust.

Scammers and developers trying to take advantage after a disaster intentionally spread rumors/misinformation to convince survivors not to apply for federal disaster assistance. Many well meaning people pick this misinformation up and spread it further without understanding how the assistance process works. It’s happened more and more over the years and it will happen with Helene.

If you do not apply for assistance, you lose the chance to receive federal funds. APPLY APPLY APPLY. This doesn’t guarantee you will meet eligibility requirements, but you definitely can’t meet them if you don’t apply. The application process isn’t perfect but it continues to be updated - and was updated in 2024!! - to try and make it easier for survivors. If you have damages or lost power for an extended time, APPLY.

You can check on FEMA.gov or with local news to see when disaster recovery centers will open, how long the application period will last, and what information you’ll need when applying.
