Second, does this mean that his "real boy" look is now his official look, or are we still sticking with the classic "guy with funny sunglasses" look. "real boy" is his finale design within the story. but not technically a redesign as his iconic design is STILL tsb's design.

evolution is primarily a point for story direction vs art direction. you can draw either version whenever and however ya want as long as not against the "no" permissions listed. this applies for watchman too

and tbh even im still gonna be regularly drawing the man with glasses fit no matter what its too fun and silly i dont ever want to change it teehee

I kinda stole the name Waxing from an old oc of mine, sooo that's his name now. Old oc has no name now. :]

A new thing (other than the headphones) is that the center of his hoodie can basically become or resemble a pit.

Because that's how any strong emotion feels. Usually negative ones. He hates it, Illy tries to make Wax calm down with reasons he shouldn't be anxious, but falls out the window.

It only works if he's not too worked up. Man's eyesight is....ok. Not the best, because unlike his other part, he has to squint at most things. Like words on signs and stuff. Why doesn't he just copy his other half? Idk. He's stubborn. And character design reasons.

Imma just put Seeds and Myst together here.

Because they're basically one in the same. Yes, Seeds' jacket has stuff on it, I probably will draw something with more stuff on the jacket. (Because I didn't know what else to think of.)

The one side of his face is more expressive than the other. Mostly because each one of these guys looks upset every waking moment.

(They're not, they just look like that.)

But I guess it's to show being more comfortable in being expressive and just not feeling comfortable and trying to... understand the room. Confusion.

Is their goal the same as the album? No. They're all technically "whole", but don't understand anything about this life stuff. It's weird, tricky, and overall odd.

Living in a nice relaxing Void™ is all they know. But taking a step into unknown territory is the what they want, an adventure.

(Depending on whatever adventure really means to them. Or me.) Breaking out of this weird shaped shell. Because the world is scary.

Too much scary stuff that makes Wax retreat to his safe space, and essentially brings his other counterparts with him.

Myst doesn't like this because she knows that this isn't ok. But the others, especially Seeds and Wax just... don't do anything.

But, she and Illy continue to try and strive for new things. Even when the other two challenge them.

She's more honest and blunt about everything. Even when she's trying not to be. Her cold face, her voice. Always been how she's characterized in my head.

Hey everyone~ I got some more stuff for ya~

Long story short, I've discovered the new Fairly Oddparents reboot, absolutely loved it and was inspired to make this AU idea for the show! With a slight reimagine/redesign of the characters as well.

Here's some more info about my AU:

Fairly Odd Parents AU/Rewrite

Au Name: FairlyOdd Brother

Summary:

Perri (previously known as Poof) recently graduated from Fairy Godparents School and is eager to start granting Wishes for his very own godchild! Only problem is that with his lack of experience Jorgen is weary of giving him an assignment and keeps finding excuses/reasons to not give him a godkid. Realizing it might be a 1,000 years before they give him a chance to be a Fairy Godparent, Perri decides he needs to be a little bold and perhaps, bend Da Rules, to get his foot in the door so to speak. And his answer comes to him from a new neighbor in his human home, a family with a sweet shy 10 year old girl who is absolutely miserable. Perhaps Perri might be able to offer this girl a little comfort and fun as her new Fairy Godbrother!?

(Basically the same premise of the show, except Perri’s first godchild is Hazel, and through a technicality in the rule book, becomes her god brother instead of her godparent.)

ALSO please note this AU is more of a slight reimagine of the original show, meaning I did tweaked / changed some of the characters personality to match the new story I made for them. Nothing majorly different, but again just a heads up before you read on. Hope you like it~

Name: Devin “Dev” Dimmadome 

Age: 9/almost 10

Sex: Male

Physical Description: 

Is basically the same as in the show, though there are a few key differences. 

-Despite having slicked back hair he always has a single strand that no matter what always sticks out, he hates it and is always trying to move it back into place but to no avail. In reality without the hair product he has natural curly hair like his father, though his curls are a little more difficult to comb and manage than his father, something that he doesn’t like about himself

-Has freckles! But always wears makeup to cover them as according to Dale’s research are ’less desirable’ and would statistically do better with them covered up

-Also has heterochromia, one blue and one green eye, but always wears either a blue or green contacts to hide his ‘flaw’, again being told to do so by his father

- Though he is always required to wear a branded white hoodie, Dale actually lets him wear whatever shirt he wants underneath, just with the promise Dev never takes his sweater off in public. Dev usually wears all sorts of geeky and nerdy shirts, mostly love meridian and Crimson Chin related stuff, it's the closes thing he’s allowed to wear ‘freely’ without requiring his father’s approval. Again this ‘freedom’ is kinda pointless since he still has to wear the hoodie, but he still appreciates it.   

-As you can see in the photo above I showed what he looks typically on the left, and on the right is basically what Dev would dress like if he had no rules or restrictions.

Personality: 

It's basically exactly the same as in the show, I really like Dev both in a story sense and a comedic sense so nothing to really change. The only slight difference is that Dev in this version clearly gets a crush on Hazel in this version. I think the show is ‘hinting’ of them possibly being a couple later on, but in my version I wanted to make it a little more clear that he has a subconscious crush on her. Basically think Anya and Damion from Spy x Family if you want a good example. He likes her, but being a 10 year old boy with severe daddy issues has no idea how to handle this and ends up being kinda mean to his regret. 

Other fun facts:

-I won’t get into it now, but his relationship with his father is a bit different, as I have a unique take on Dale and who he is as a person. I’ll probably draw him next but for now just know Dale isn’t an evil heartless father and there’s more to him than it seems, and thus the relationship between Dale and Dev is a little more complex.

-And yes though it isn’t important yet, he does end up getting Cosmo and Wanda as his fairy godparents instead of Hazel as the AU would suggest.

- In this version Peri is also not a big fan of Dev. As he obviously doesn’t like how he’s mean to her at first, but as they become friends and Peri soon realizes that Dev has a crush on Hazel this leaves Peri horrified at the thought. And of course being a proper big brother is completely against and despises the idea of Dev and Hazel ever ending up together. He’s not too over the top about his dislike, but definitely would be sitting in to conor with his arms crossed, while trying to subtly tell Hazel she could do soooooooo much better than him.   

I hope you guys like this, I'm personally really happy with how this design turned out, especially his 'real Dev' design on the right. But I would love to hear your guys thoughts and opinions about my designs. Do you like them, hate them? Feel free to tell me below.

You said don't get you started on Ice's helmet or you'll be mean... please be mean. Please be mean to him. What is so disastrous about his helmet design?

my time has come. i will be mean to him. (thank you for getting me started on this. it bothers me every time I watch top gun.) this is also gonna be so long. yippee!

stopthatfool's issues with Tom "Iceman" Kazansky's helmet! aka this bad boy right below. (I'm sorry if anyone loves Ice's helmet, it's just not for me)

The placement of his name. WHY is it on the side? Both him and Slider have their names on the side. That makes me think it's a squadron thing? (the VF-213s) but regardless i don't care cuz i think it's stupid. (again sorry if someone thinks its genius. ok i'll stop apologizing)

My biggest issue with the fact it's on the side is that it creates this uneven weight distribution. The side with his name feels considerably "heavier" than the side without.

And the thing i don't understand is that Ice's name is evenly numbered!! He could fit 3 letters on either side of the line that comes down the helmet! the letters wouldn't be unevenly distributed, so I don't know why he felt the need to put it there!!

Here, I have "annotated" his helmet and provided other viewpoints of his helmet!

The font/typeface! Ice.. is that ARIAL?? and it's not even bolded??? so not only is his name to one side and weirdly small... it's skinny and unbolded. (like you're THE Iceman. Don't you want your name big and bolded? I shouldn't be searching for your name when you're Mr. Iceman!)

Looking at his helmet head-on, part of his name isn't even visible.. like ok ICEM!

And then! There's this weird switch up in the shapes and line types that he used-- the angular and sharp points of the lightning bolts and the half circles surrounding the squadron logo (is it a logo?? idk im gonna call it a logo)

What i think Ice is trying to do here is create a "connection" between the circular part of the logo and the lightning bolts as the bolts go all the way to the back of the helmet... but in my opinion... it's not working. like at all.

The comparison between the harsh lines of the bolts and then the curves is just kind of hard on the eyes (for me anyway). I just don't know where to look. Should i be following the leading lines of the lightning bolts? Or the curves of the half-circle things? Or should I be following the line of the lightning bolt in the logo?

And all throughout that... i barely end up seeing the name on the helmet.

Continuing off the logo... for Top Gun 1986, Ice and Slider are in the VF-213 squadron, but the movie switched the logo to the VFA-25s that looks like this on their flight suits-

(yes that is the best quality image i could find from the movie my bad) So why does the logo on his helmet look like this???

WHY do the fingers look like that. they look like hotdogs im so sorry. (logistically it was probably easier for the decals to be printed and then applied like this. but. we're not talking about technicalities here. right now i'm tearing apart the entire composition of Ice's helmet.)

I like version of the logo on their flight suits soooo much better! It's got more "rhythm" and flow to it that the lightning bolts lack! Plus no hotdog fingers.

Ok ok, now on the colour scheme. The harsh and bright blues I don't mind. Like yeah, you're The Iceman, punch me in the face with blue. I can forgive that. The thing that really bothers me.. is the silver/grey base of the helmet.

It's this really harsh grey that really doesn't help with the already harsh blues. I think he should've continued with the blue he has going. cuz this grey ain't working, king.

Ok, anyway. Since I should be studying, I'm obviously doing anything but studying. So i redesigned ice's helmet. ya idk.

it's kind of wonky.. but whatevs (ignore how the lightning bolt on the side view doesn't line up with the front view) (and ignore the inconsistences in the lettering. i was lazy and did it by hand)

I also didn't want to completely change/get rid of the aspects of Ice's helmet. So the changes aren't huge (except for maybe the name placement/"font")

ok I changed the background colour (finally, it's less all up in your face now) I continued with the blues and lessened the intensity just a little bit. I really wanted his name to be front and center!

Now the colour scheme is also consistent. No random black lettering (again, in arial???) there's now black in both his name, the outline of the lightning bolts and the logo!

Now his name is evenly distributed! See how it fits on either side of the line that comes down the center of the helmets from '86? See how you can actually see his whole name? See how it's heavier and fits the whole "iceman" theme better? (at least in my opinion)

Come on, Ice! You should've used the leading lines provided by the lightning bolts to guide people to your name! There's now a fun little overlapping moment!

(ignore how i forgot to dot one of the i's in distribution whoops)

No more weird half circle things! No more conflicting leading lines! But! I decided to extend the arm of the squadron logo to continue the line of the lightning bolt as it moves backward. I think this makes the circle of the logo fit better, while simultaneously creating that "connection" he was trying to get in his actual design.

The lack of half-circle things also allow for the logo and lightning bolts to just "be." There's no distraction. it's not overly "busy" anymore (like maverick's helmet). It's simple, but he's The Iceman! He doesn't need it to say/have more!

And the use of the "actual" logo seen on Slider and Ice's flight suits creates that sense of movement that was absent before! Plus no hotdog hands!

Is this new proposed design perfect? Absolutely not! The logo and the lightning bolts still create a weird point of almost intersection that still bothers me. But I think fundamentally, there's always going to be issues with these two components: the circle will never quite fit in, and the lightning bolt the hand is holding will always "cut" the whole thing in half, creating a weird separation in the helmet, that will always bother me.

Anyway, this was a lot of fun! (I love being mean to these guys. they need their egos brought down a couple pegs!)

Welcome to another episode of “ I’m redesigned my old oc and randomly put them in my spider-sona universe like a crossover or something ”

So, remember Billie? Ya, probably no. Many days ago I redesign her for like a funny idea about put my old Ocs together or something you guys can go check it here [ X ] Anyway, this time I redesign her again to put into spider-sona universe and make her fit by changing her into Roxxon security guard. But other than that she’s also had her own lore too that link to HLVRAI and technically she’s Benrey’s fan-sister Oc kinda thing

( Please, the Oc that relates to canon like a fan-sibling it’s not cringe. I just wanna have fun making characters that make me happy. It’s same as Oc x canon things people make it just for having fun. So, it’s not cringe )

A little lore ; She was originally living in the HLVRAI universe.. at least it's like an AU of it where she's excited in that universe. But in the Black mesa incident the portal sent her to another universe by accident and she can't go back. Now she's stuck in the Win/Pi universe. She’s still has those power but can't teleport herself to that realm in the Final act

Any thoughts on the new Donkey Kong game?

I'll be honest, up until the Direct trailer, I didn't care much for it apart from a vague thumbs up of approval in the DK fandom direction. I only played one Donkey Kong game (DK Country) and while I had fun, it didn't catch my heart like Legend of Zelda or the Mario & Luigi RPGs. Fun games but I'm more into action/adventures or RPG than platformers, y'know? And it's not like I plan to get the Switch 2 anytime soon, so I didn't pay attention to it.

The business around Pauline drew my attention but I didn't really think much about it apart from "oh, now they're making DK & Pauline the Wreck-It Ralph duo. Good plan, Big Strong Creature & Small Kid duos are a beloved trope for a reason."

That said.

After seeing the trailer, my interested is a bit more piqued for various reasons :

this is definitely the Switch 2 launching game ; yes, Mario Kart World is there and all, but a new Mario Kart is a given for any new Nintendo console. The game to show off the new console's technical abilities ? Definitely this game where you can break and model the environment as you wish.

It's another exemple of the Breath-of-the-Wild-isation of Nintendo franchises, in my opinion. I feel there's even some reused assets or interface. Open world, freedom of interaction with the environment, a complete change of system from what's we're used to with this franchise, customization and RPG-lite mechanics...although to be fair, it's not just BOTW that's been doing this, but I feel like there's some inspiration in the gameplay style, even if remotely ?

"Why is Pauline a kid now" who cares, WHY WAS SHE IN A ROCK ????

Joke aside, there are three possibilities to explain this : - soft reboot of the franchise, which would fit with the redesigns of DK & co. Gently pushing under the carpet any old memories of Pauline being DK's kidnapping victim as you expand her character and give her a backstory. - Time travel shenanigans. the game ends with Pauline going back to the surface to realize her dream and it's hinted that she'll become the singer we know in the Mario franchise, and/or that DK will meet her again. - Kongs actually age much slower than humans so Bananza!Pauline is indeed Mario games!Pauline.

I'm curious to see if the story will actually go beyond your typical exploring platformer stuff and give some actual character exploration...but I feel it'll still be a game I prefer to actually play myself than watch being played. So ya know. Still not getting it unless something big changes my mind and makes me buy a whole Switch 2.

The two player system is gonna suuuuuuuuuck. Mark my words.

The world, gameplay and music look awesome ! And I feel it's a casual Nintendo flex to have so many ways to play with the environment.

Not a big fan of DK's Bananza forms though.

Since it's voiced, it'll be hilarious to see every ape and animal speak while DK grunts and makes monkey noises. Nintendo Silent Protagonist absurdity at its finest 8D

For real though, all joking and poking aside...watching this trailer made me realize how far we've come in video games. Not just in terms of mechanics and gameplay, but compare Pauline's role in the first Donkey Kong game, and the one she'll play here. You've come far, Miss.

(1) train master chidori

in terms of me redesigning folami, i think i'm also gonna tweak her personality a bit too. i want to give her braids and slicked down baby hairs instead of the initial poofs that i had her with previously--and i think that may change which association creature/thing that i want her to be associated with bc i mostly just associated her with poodles because of her hair LOL. in terms of her personality, i originally made her a bit airheaded but i think i may kinda wanna give her more mature vibes since she's technically gonna be the oldest and most experienced of chidorky's crew. more... zakuro from tmm energy tbh. i think that may be the vibe i wanna go for for her lol.

(2) celestial weddings

beloved extremely wholesome polycule shenanigans lol. i think the one character that i know much less about their romance arc with dag is muu? muu is from denjai, which is the fourth sphere and its a swampland and marshy type of place. muu themself is the youngest of all of dag's lovers and it definitely shows in how upbeat they are and how they very much look up to dag in an almost hero worship kind of way. tbh they probably have the senpai/kouhai romantic relationship arc and ngl its very cute. muu also flaps their hands whenever they get excited about something and they tend to stumble over their words when they get excited, which is a lot lol.

(3) nondisclosure

i used to be sooo back and forth about nyseah and 17's relationship when i made the characters many many moons before; (and actually now that i think about it, most of the characters from that wip, except everything relating to owen and helios's storyline still exists in this version of the story lol. idk if i'll ever go back to those two characters but they did have a sweet relationship, it was just SO thematically different than everything else that was going on, which is how it developed into what i call now nondisclosure LOL) i actually kind of wanted them to get together only because i built up 17 to be a sort of "he's justified for his actions and he actually does care about nyssie.... somehow" back then. but i think i was also biased because he was one of the first "morally grey characters" i really ever made and i suppose back then i was much simpler in what i wanted from those kinds of characters.

when i think about nondisclosure now, 17 barely plays a role in it from what i think. tbh i think 12 plays more of a role than he does and that's because i'm obsessed with 12 and i think everyone should be obsessed with 12 but this isn't about him this is about 17 and nyssie. i think it works better for nyssie to not get with him in the end because like he seriously violated her in a way that younger me didn't really see an issue with (thanks ya and anime for not thinking this kind of relationship was bad or that it could be fixed LMAOOO... not to say that i don't enjoy making those kinds of relationships now, its just the fact that now i'm more likely to lean into the relationship being fucked up LMAO). anyway tho, mama nyssie and her brood of kiddos is the best ending for her because its the one where she's the happiest :D

(4) sixteen candles

ranger being aromantic makes so much of how he acted in all of the old chapters that i wrote many moons ago make so much fucking sense. like seriously, he was soooo noncommittal to the point of it being basically a meme, and even tho the friend i would talk with about these characters at the time helped me make a character for him to be with and i 'enjoyed' it to a certain extent, it always felt kind of off? and i think its because the person ranger will always be the closest with is always gonna be nanette, like they are inseperable and i think them defining a qpr is actually So Fucking Good for them. i'm kinda obsessed with their dynamic ngl, adn i also like the idea that ranger is just like down to fuck all of his besties and at the same time they all have a relationship with each other where that's just a thing that they do.

i really need to work on roger tho because he is so conflicted about a lot of things. not just to get him open to the fucking really, but mostly just because he has the roughest go of it relating to family and it kinda hits home for me personally a bit, so in some ways i feel like idk how i should handle it. but overall, love they. i should think about them more tbh LOL

(5) the liminal space series (overall)

chloe being involved in jenna's story is honest to god still so funny to me. like here's this "average" small town popular girl, who's popular by virtue of being normal enough and outgoing enough that everyone likes her, but having a bit of an alt style so people think she's edgy and unique and then all of a sudden she's hanging out with the town weirdos trying to hunt down a what? what did you say it was jenna? a chupa--WhAT?

and the fact that she's so taken aback with how casually jenna says that she likes her that it just takes her and her sexuality for a wild ride and at the end of it all she has to go to college and pretend that she didn't just have the craziest senior year/summer of her fucking life LMAOOO its just so funny to me.

hope you’re still open to those oc questions! first more of a technical one — I’m quite interested in descon because I, ironically, am also writing a story that used to be an ocxcanon t/o/h fanfiction LOL! I’m curious if you have any specific process when it comes to redesigning the characters to suit your new setting? How do you decide how much of their og appearances to keep and such? Leander looks especially awesome in your design style! ^_^

and secondly! if it’s not too spoilery— do Dry and Faith interact much, or is it more of a “plotting to kill Faith from the shadows without them ever knowing” situation (at least up until his death, potentially?)?

YAY!! YIPPEE!! good luck on your own ocifying of a toh ocxcanon story!

Really I only took Belos from toh (and kind of Gaius but she used to be a golden guard oc alongside Fate), and honestly I probably should've done more to oc-ify him but C'EST LA VIE. im too attached now. The main things I thought about were what I wanted to keep physicality wise (old man, long hair, freaky blue eyes) and what I wanted to keep storywise (Capital F Freak, brother issues, The Leader of whatever nation the new story took place in). The star eye thing was a design decision I thought looked neat and called back to Belos's weird green goop scars without just Looking. Exactly Like It (I created proper lore for it later). And the cloak is very much inspired by Belos cloak in the show but Blue this time since that's what I decided I wanted Leander's color scheme to center around. Basically, take the aspects that you really really like about the design/think about how it translates into this new story and bend them a bit! Again, I kinda wish I had done more to change Leander from Belos but what can ya do!

As for the second one: Dry and Faith do interact a lot! Dry is trying to learn as much as he can about Faith so that he can replace them easier. Plus, its just easier to get the opportunity to kill someone if they trust you (but maybe don't completely mess up and catch feelings for the guy you're meant to kill)

Batman: The Animated Series: Death In The Family arc & Harley Quinn's involvement.

Hiiiiiii, I've been working on remaking a post and I wanted to briefly discuss this arc itself beforehand because of a panel that's being used in the other post. <3

So Ig to begin, in case you weren't unaware, the btas universe isn't technically over.

While the animated show has long since wrapped, Paul Dini has participated heavily in a continuation comic series that take place somewhere in the New Batman Adventures seasons.

(Side note: Batman: The Animated Series / The New Batman Adventures are the essentially the same show.

Wiki: Three years after the second season of Batman: The Animated Series ended production, the show was moved from Fox to The WB network, which was airing and producing Superman: The Animated Series. These shows were merged as part of an hour-long segment called The New Batman/Superman Adventures. The WB wanted more episodes of Batman, so 24 new episodes were produced, which featured a different format and more focus on Batman's supporting cast.

In addition to the network's demands, the producers decided to make the show match the graphic style of Superman, so all the characters and objects were redesigned with fewer lines, usually referred to by the fans and creative staff as the "revamp" (or alternately, the "new look"). A similar graphic style was used in the rest of the DCAU later on.

The entire series was released on DVD as Batman: The Animated Series Volume Four (From The New Batman Adventures), most likely to establish the connection with the original series.

Ex: Catwoman is shown in the first arc of these comics and she's based off TNBA's redesign.

So, the Death in The Family storyline. It starts off right from the bat in Season 1 of the comic.

This story is being told multiple years after it happened, all from what Alfred knows of the event. He's telling the current Robin what happened after it's been discovered that Jason Todd is alive.

The first appearance Harley has in this series is this moment.

"Well, well! Looks like the bat-brood is in serious need of family therapy."

"I happen ta know a good shrink..."

He explains that Jason ran away and quickly remade his public image, from Boy Wonder to Boy Barbarian.

This change was noted by the Gotham Rogues.

Batman gets Intel that Jason's next target is rumored to be The Joker. Cut back to Harley & that creep.

Now, even though they'd commented on him needing a shrink, that's not what they were doing that night.

Knowing Harley, this was a very special night for her. Their anniversary.

They were out for a romantic night on the town, or so Harley had hoped...

"Ya call this romance?! I get more affection dewormin' th' hyenas!"

"Oh, don't be such a party pooper, Pooh. Look! Something for you to snuggle when I'm out with the bat-boys."

Of course, The Joker being the stupid little bitch he is, the night doesn't scream romance or anything close and she's frustrated. She tells him off and storms off, Joker giving a loving "Yeah, you'll come crawling back. You always do!". what a charmer 🔪💀

"An' now I'm out! Sayonara, smiley! We're done!"

"Yeah, you'll come crawling back. You always do! Now where's that pesky whack-a-mole..."

"Who's crawling now, Puddin'?!"

"Give my regards to th' laffin' fish!"

That was just the start of their very public breakup. Ms. Quinn appeared intent on destroying every place they had gone as a couple.

Let's make it clear that Harley did not have some elaborate "Let's pretend to fight and break up and I'll go pretend to be mad and destroy shit until the Boy Barbarian shows up." Plan with Joker.

She was destroying stuff that reminded her of him and their time together because she was mad and hurt. That's it. This wasn't a ploy to get Jason out of hiding.

He just happened to show up.

"I'm single an' celebratin'! Whoopee cushions fer all!"

Of course, these shenanigans would bring her out into the open. As they did that evening when she decided to close down their favorite restaurant.

"Red hots! Get 'em while they're hot! Umphh!"

"And here I thought you only dated weiners."

"Back off, boy scout!!"

"Boy scout? You haven't been watchin' the news."

"Agh!"

"I'm a bad boy now. More your type. In fact, we got something else totally in common."

And The Joker just happened to feel like stopping him.

Though it's Very Very doubtful he did this out of a "oh no, my love, Harley, is getting hurt." It was an opportunity and he took it.

That's it.

It had nothing to do with Harley being in danger.

It also likely had to do with the fact that he heard Jason ask her about his location and he didn't want to risk losing whatever hideout they'd acquired this time.

So he shocks him, asking Harley if she's playing the field already.

"We both want to get rid of The Joker. Tell me where he is and you'll only wind up in the emergency room."

"How could a girl say no ta that?"

[Jason gets shocked by Joker.]

"Playing the field already, punkin-pie?"

"Oh, Mista J., You really do care!"

"Smucks, Harley-Mae, I cain't stay mad at you. I even brung ya some flowers from ma's garden. Ah-hyuck!"

"It was a...trick....uuhh..."

"On second thought, they're more fittin' on this here young fella. Now don't that look purdy?"

While Jason passes out believing it was a trick, it wasn't.

It was just bad timing.

Harley wanted a romantic night on the town, and when that didn't happen, she wanted to instead destroy all the places she'd been with Joker that reminded her of that relationship. That's the Only thing she wanted.

Maybe Joker had a plan, but it wasn't one she was privy to.

This isn't what's stated by Alfred, but frankly, that's understandable. He does have bias in this situation.

But what we're shown does not align with "So Harley lured Jason in and Joker sprang the trap."

I said it once and I'll say it again, as great as Alfred and Bruce are, sometimes, they aren't reliable narrators. It was the same thing in the Mad Love episode and, especially, comic. As the comic is the only one that's got their conversation about Harleen. In the episode itself, it cuts straight from the Dentist's office to Harley trying to be seductive.

Anyway.

"I wanted a cheerful environment for our playdate. You've been a busy bird lately. And an unhappy one too, it seems."

"I'll feel better when my hands are around your neck!"

"There! You see? All that pent up hostility! The boy is obviously in need of help."

"Oh, if only there was a trusted professional we could call!"

"A-hem. The doctor is in!

In...sane, that is! And ca-raaazy t' help ya!"

"You're dead, Quinn."

"Oh my! Such violent psychotic tendencies."

"What do you make of him, doctor?"

"The patient has a history of acting out destructive power fantasies. No doubt the effect of a very toxic home environment."

"Knowing the father, I concur."

"It's clear that Batman's obsession with building a vigilante dynasty has driven him to make anyone a so-called Robin. Even an unhinged maniac like this."

"Yes, yes! I'm in complete agreement with your diagnosis. With an emphasis on the "Die"!

What we're faced with is a case of self-preservation.

Penguin nearly splattered into street pizza, Clock King almost losing his second hand...and poor Crocky! He'd be a matching set of luggage now if our rabid Robin's aim had been better.

Junior here has become a real plague on our kind.

[Hits Jason with the crowbar.]

Fortunately, I've got the cure!"

[Hit]

"Yowzie! That's gonna hurt in the morning!"

[Hit]

I think something else to note is that if Harley was in on this elaborate plan, she would have been aware of what The Joker planned to do. She wouldn't have clearly thought this was a typical "let's rough up the punk cause he's being a pain in the ass for all of us rogues."

She's here to mockingly diagnosis him and watch him get roughed up a bit for all the trouble he's caused to the criminals in Gotham.

That's it.

"Indeed it would! If he weren't going to that big birdbath in the sky tonight!"

[Hit]

"Laugh it up, bird boy! These are the jokes! Ha, Ha, Ha!"

[Hit]

"Wait!"

"How selfish of me! Have a whack at him, Pooh."

"Roughin' th' punk up is one thing, but killing him?!"

Because that Is what she thought it was. She makes that apparent in her reaction.

Joker doesn't appreciate her hesitation, or interruptions while he's beating him. So he has her thrown out by his henchmen.

"Did you think we were just going to give him a love tap and let him go?!"

Harley cowers as he physically leaned towards her, the crowbar still gripped in his hand.

"He won't stop until he's killed every one of us! You've seen what he's done! He begged for this!"

"But..."

"Get her out of here!"

"Don't touch me! Slimy creeps! I'll knock yer heads off!"

Harley's restrained and lifted out of the warehouse by two goons.

Batman is perched outside, presumably already searching for Jason.

"Batman later admitted that Quinn volunteered to help him stop Joker, though he wisely left her cuffed outside."

This is technically a redesign and intro post, as well as being my first official post on this blog, but, semantics.

Hello! This is Sketchy Fool, blog of the nervous wire frame wreck that is my oc Sketchy! I redesigned her and thought I should finally make an intro post.

Neverhood AU Sona ref sheet (TW: Blood)

For anybody asking: "What the fuck is The Neverhood???" The Neverhood is a goofy and wacky click and point adventure clay animated game that isn't known worldwide, The Neverhood came out with a second game called Skull Monkeys which is technically a sequel to the first game cuz it's continuation of the first game. The Neverhood does have lore and some of it is a little bit dark but other than that it's mostly goofy lol-. Armikrog is the same as The Neverhood but with it's own story and takes place somewhere else. Both The Neverhood and Armikrog take place in the same universe which is prettey cool. So yeah That's that for ya.

Ok so allow me to explain the Corrupt version:

sooo in the Neverhood there is a king named Hoborg, creator and father of the Neverhood and his sons. Hoborg wears a crown, as he is the ruler of the Neverhood. Only Hoborg can wear the crown anyone who takes his crown and wears it will become corrupt, meaning that they are not the normal versions of themselves anymore. HOWEVER, the corrupt versions of the Hoodioans (Hoborgs sons) will look NOTHING like what I've drawn here. Her body functions like the human body (as well at the average female body), she can feel pain, bleeds and can very much die. She is much different than the Hoodians. SO if she wears the crown THIS is what she will look like and the transformation is PAINFUL. Her Corruption transformation pain will stay with her for the rest of her life AND her corrupted body will slowly lose skin and muscle showing bone, making her lose blood. So her corrupted body will slowly kill her.

Sooo yeah If she ever wears the crown she will die in the worst way possible. There is however a cure for her specifically if that somehow ever happens, The cure takes a lot of time and effort to make and the cure provides rare ingredients. The ingredients are unknown but only a certain skull monkey scientist knows how to make it and is the only one who knows how to make it and provide the cure. I forgot to mention when she is Corrupted she is still the same in terms of mentally consciousness, but she can act violent having urges to destroy kill and maul.

SO I will now actually introduce my Neverhood AU sona: Her name is Annabelle (of course) and she wasn't made by Hoborg. It has never been known how she got in the Neverhood in the first place cuz she woke up found by Willie trombone, Even Hoborg said that he didn't even make her but still considered her as Hoborgs Daughter anyway. Annabelle's friends are Klaymen, Willie Trombone, Kroopsie (Neverhood sona made by @g-starthefirst ) and Tommynaut (Annabelle has a secret crush on Tommynaut and no one knows that yet lol-.). Annabelle is just as tall as Klaymen and she is also a prettey strong one, Annabelle has also become one of Hoborgs defenders when he is in danger. Annabelle does whatever she likes and sometimes keeps to herself when she feels like she wants to be alone. She likes to hang out with her friends whenever she likes or is invited. Annabelle also has a pet! He is a dog like bunny and Annabelle named him Zach, Zack was gifted to her from Tommynaut so that way Annabelle has someone to be with, take care of and talk to whenever she feels really lonely.

Zach (I'll probably do a redesign of him soon):

Annabelle often talks to Zack and her friends when she feels down or just really wants too, But sometimes she wont and bottle up some of her feelings and thoughts. She also often has trouble asking for help afraid that people will see her as dumb, stupid or whatever so she really struggles with some tasks. Annabelle has a creative mind so she likes to draw and make her own jewelry (she made the bracelets earrings and necklace herself, she found mini skulls lying around her home and didn't know where they came from so she just made them into jewelry). She is also a fashionable one too, She often gets her clothes from the Skull Monkey planet and also gets them custom made (she also makes her own fashion designs and shows them to the Skull monkey tailor), Annabelle gets her clothes for free since she is also a defender and protector of the Neverhood and Hoborg. Lucky lol-. Also Annabelle is like around 20 years old, Cuz her age and Name is all she remembers since she woke up. She remembers her likes and dislikes and her hobbies but not her past memories (oop- did I just vaguely mention some lore??? :333)

Uhhh that's about It about Annabelle, I'll make updates and/or edits if anything new pops up or changes lol-.

but to answer your question there, lots of characters actually! tho i ain't too sure if that is true-? i don't really...plan to make anyone the protaganist much..?

because well, you have ten questions to ask of any character, and move on to the next! but..if i had say who are the leading characters here...

i'd have to say it's The Lunar Stars and The Crescent Moons.

okay okay..technically there is supposed to be three..groups? teams? to be the leading characters, but the third groups designs aren't..done, or finished yet so sucks to suck for me ig? lmao-

i'm sure you know who those are, right? or not..that's also fine! it is supposed to be a little secret after all ;D

tho i may have to redesign two specific skeletons here from one of the teams lmao..i'm sorry but i ain't too pleased with their designs- it looks extremely off ngl...

oh yeah! just so ya know, the characters here have different names from their counterparts! so lookie out for those!
