Anson Mount at Lexington Toy & Comic Convention

Anson's busy convention schedule continues! He did autograph signings and photo sessions at LCTC in Lexington, Kentucky - March 25 - 26 2023.

Fans at the convention described him as "awesome", "super warm", and "a genuine and down to Earth guy!" One fan gifted Anson the book of John and thanked the actor for talking to him about faith.

Today's the anniversary for me! ✨

I know the Mario Movie was released on April 5th 2023, but back then I was seeing the Holy Week processions with my dad, so I didn't get to go to the cinema until April 8th, which was a Saturday, and that was when everything changed for me 😌💚❤️

This is going to get a bit long, personal and emotional, so it's totally fine if you'd rather not read it! 💖

As I've mentioned, this movie saved my life simply because I was in a terrible place when it came out. Admittedly, I had been feeling a bit better that week thanks to the fact I was going out every day and was distracted and such, but my mind was still not totally... fine.

Until, at 8PM, the Mario Movie finally started and I spent the next hour and a half with a silly smile on my face, feeling like a little kid again and experimenting lots of feelings and emotions I hadn't felt in many months. Happiness. Joy. Laughter. A warm heart. Tension. Pure emotion. Excitement. Nostalgia. The urge to cry, though not from sadness.

And the need to get those cute brothers off the screen and give them each a big bear hug.

Mario and Luigi did really save my life. I had already fallen for them long ago, when I was 13 and played Superstar Saga on my GBA, since that was the very first game that made me see these two as endearing and charming characters with a beautiful sibling bond based not only on love, but also trust, laughter and comfort.

And, in all honesty, seeing this movie, seeing that bond translated into it, was totally a dream come true. Aside from the M&L games, we don't really get to see much of these two taking care of each other (please correct me if I'm mistaken!). Also, I'm a 90s girl, so I had been wanting a good animated Mario movie since... I honestly can't remember. All I know is I used to watch the cartoons (specifically the one based on Super Mario Bros 3), and then I ran into the live action movie from 1993 and... Welp. Let's just say I'd rather forget it 😬 (Sorry if you did like it, it simply was NOT my cup of tea.)

And then this movie was announced, and every new trailer made me feel more and more hyped, and reminded me of my love for the Super Mario franchise. I had already been hyperfixated on it back in 2013-2016, when I played Dream Team and fell even harder for them (especially Luigi), and when I finally got to see this movie, that obsession came back stronger than ever.

I felt like a little child again. I went back to play my old favorite games. I listened to the ost on loop for months, and it ended up becoming my most listened album on Spotify last year.

And I also felt the urge to write again.

Writing has always been an important part of my life. I started at 8 and I simply couldn't stop. To me, it is like breathing, so when I spend some time away from writing, I'm not exaggerating when I say I feel a physical pain on my chest. And due to the bad place I was in, I had been away from it for way too many months.

It turns out all I needed was a dose of brotherly love in order to feel my fingertips tingling again with the urgent need to start writing.

So yeah. There are many things I have to celebrate today and to be thankful for. First of all: I'm alive, and happy, and better than ever, still struggling with anxiety and fears but feeling way better than I'd felt in the years before this film came out. I feel emotion, and joy, and will to continue living and enjoying life and fangirling and being myself. I feel connected to Mario and Luigi and my heart simply warms up every single time I think about them (which is 24/7 tbh).

And I'm writing again! 2023 was the year I've written the most in my entire life, and I owe it to this wonderful movie, and so far I've continued to write this year too, and that's also thanks to Mario and Luigi.

And of course, and more importantly, this film has led me to meet all of you, beautiful people, and I honestly couldn't be more grateful 🥹🫂💖 With you I can fangirl and scream and cry and be myself, and that's why I felt like sharing this with you guys, because I know you understand and share the feelings I've experimented these months since I first saw this movie. I love each and one of you with all my heart 💖💖💖

And after talking non-stop, I believe I kinda feel like finally showing my face here (the real one, not this one 😂), so... Here I go! 🤭👇

The blue is for Toad, the pink is for Peach, green and red for Luigi and Mario (obviously) and black for Bowser since he was played by Jack Black! 😁

Admittedly, I'm not very good at painting my nails because I'm not into makeup and such, but I do like to see them all painted, I think they look beautiful 🥰 Last year I used to paint them red and green all the time since I went not once, not twice, but thirteen times to see this movie, and every time wearing a different shirt 🤭 Though the one I'm wearing today is the one I wore exactly one year ago, as you can see here! 😁

I literally cannot remember when or where I bought it, but it was simply PERFECT to wear to go see this movie 😁 And you bet, when the Toad guard said that quote from the first Super Mario game, I went all silly in the cinema: "OMG my shirt!!!!!" 😂😂😂

I may go and show them all together in a different post, and maybe also the earrings since I own a lot: red shrooms, superstars, fire flowers, green shrooms... Would you like that? 🥰

Now that I see it, I look a bit scared on the first one 😂 The green shirt I'm wearing on the second one is pure GOLD, and on the third one I kinda felt like I was taking a picture with Mario himself 😂😂😂

I did own some Mario merch before the movie came out, but last year I went and bought tons of it, including shirts, earrings, and of course plushies! 🤭

They look like a cute little family OMG aren't they ADORABLE I love them all so so much 😭❤️💚✨

So this is it! This is my little celebration of the first year since I saw for the first time the movie that saved my life 🥰 In all honestly, I would've liked to bring a fic or something, but as you all know, I went through a very hard Holy Week and I'm still not feeling totally ready to get back to writing (even though I've gotten a couple new ideas, for which I'm deeply grateful).

But I hope sharing my experience and feelings (and my face! 😂) is enough for this year, and let's hope I can bring a new Mario story to share with you guys very soon! 🥰

I'm nearing the end of high season at my work and sapped of all energy. Which is the reason I haven't drawn or posted anything of substance in a while. Surviving this 5th month of winter has been tough. We had snow again today...

Otherwise I'm just existing and doing okay.

The thing keeping me afloat is the thought of my 3 week vacation at the end of May!

Going to a Comic Con and then to Japan for two whole weeks! I'm more than excited, it's been my dream forever.

And then summer and hopefully some better weather and visiting a friend in August. Lots of good things to look forward to and hopefully more energy needed to fully engage in the things I love again. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Werewolf by night Halloween special: rumored to have been filmed, should be released on October 31st 2022

Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas special: should be released in the 2022 holyday season, but we got no news even tho there was a guardians panel at comicon so it might have been cancelled

Armor Wars: Previously announced as a series starring Rhodey (Don Cheadle), has been confirmed as still coming out by the creator, will most likely be part of phase 6

Spiderman Movie: Tom Holland is rumored to have signed another 3 movie contract. Plus the NWH post credit scene hints at a new MCU spiderman movie, and Feige teased Spidey as one of the faces of the MCU street level, as well as a Daredevil (Charlie Cox) teamup. However this movie will most likely not be out anytime soon, as sony is scheduled to release Kraven, Venom 3, Madame Webb and El MuErTo before. There is a 7 months gap in theatrical releases between Blade and Cap 4 where a spidey movie could fit. Or it might be in phase 6

An untitled Wakanda series has been confirmed to have began production, it is rumored to bw centered around okoye (Danai Gurira)

Eternals 2 has been confirmed and has been teased to be announced somewhat soon (d23?) by Feige. Howerer rumor has it Chloe Zhao will not return (Marvel i will sue)

[The buso are a category of monsters in the folklore of the Bagobo people of the Philippines. “Buso” is one of those words that covers a lot of territory, like “aswang” or “bakemono”. Item Review of 2023 - My NexiGo NS32 Controller (Part 1/Unboxing and Comparison) (March. 15th, 2023)

I’m up for another review share, everyone! Previously where I got the mashup style for three of my new accessories, it’s time I went moving on for something controlling tech related. Today is where I’m getting started with my new video game controller I’d obtain from last year’s Christmas. Same goes to my new Xbox controller; which will be waiting for my future review soon. For now, here’s mine to share first: A NexiGo NS32 Controller. I’d picked it from Amazon.com for $40 affordable price; at least as an alternative choice. The reason because originally I’m supposed to get this new controller from the same brand I had with the TV Dock. (Link Here #1) (Link Here #2)

It was a bit disappointing, but hope there’s another time to save it the near future. At least I got with this one from the brand NexiGo; in which had all kind of tech and accessories to check out. (Link Here #3)

Anyways, here’s what I picked for a new controller; as I going through unboxed and making comparisons to my previous controllers. Except with my Joy-Cons because it’s different from these controllers I’m using. I’ll see I can save it after this review is done.

While going through unboxing for a moment, the package does includes the USB Type-C charging cable and a user manual. This is sure to be enough to get started with my new controller. Speaking in which, it features turbo function and displaying RGB Lighting. Nice! This is the first time I’ll be using for my Nintendo Switch system; especially if I would to try out its turbo functionality. Hope it won’t be too complicated while working on either of my games I have. Did I forget to mention the color theme I’ve picked? The “Comic Nebula” theme looks nice to choose. There’s other variety themes to choose from, but at least I’m going for with this one.

Now I’m moving to comparison with my two controllers; from Xbox One to my old YCCTEAM controller. They’re in similarly shape and designed alike from my new controller to compared; so does everything else. However, the YCCTEAM controller fair match better with my new controller; aside having different color plates and grips after holding them together.

As for my Xbox One controller though, the stick caps apparently show its ages as I going through this review. Here’s a close-up look from its analog stick. I’ve tried to cover up with my other caps; which is from the unboxing accessories for my Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons. Though I know it was bit too small until I’m waiting for the bigger ones from Amazon.com.

However with my new one stands out for its “Cosmic Nebula” color plate theme, RGB Lighting, and turbo functionality. Can’t wait to get started for the next one, but while going through testing phase first. I got it recorded in videos already, so don’t miss it. 😉👍

first of all, how dare you

but here's why I chose dapg: because while I would LOVE to have weekly liveshows back, I don't like how so much of it is taken up by them just saying hi to people in the chat. I would much rather have a weekly (or bi-weekly, hell I'd even be happy with monthly) podcast-type vibe from them... something like the stereo shows but preferably without the audience participation.

i started typing the answer and my phone died, so rip to 3 paragraphs and let's start again 🤡

they do owe us devan wedding! 🔫 but i wouldn't consider one video a comeback.

i was just thinking, do i want edited 15-20 min long videos 4-6 times a month OR 40+ min long liveshows where they talk about all kind of bullshit and update us on their lives. liveshows sometimes turn into unfiltered rants while you just look at the screen thinking waaat???? they are usually randomly solo or joint so we cherish joint ones more (fucking nostalgia). i get that the greetings part is annoying but it’s only like 5-7 mins combined and some group chats’ names are so unhinged they are worth reading out loud. any audience participation has pros and cons (chat or audio) but it also lets dnp call us mildly offensive but more importantly hilarious names. and maybe MAYBE i enjoy it more than videos that are shorter and edited, so even if there’s something jaw-dropping it went through at least 2 stages of editing.

gaming livesteams are a different cup of tea. and i’m not sure where it belongs because we had those both on dnpgames and during Phil’s liveshows. and the vibes were basically the same. so twitch is the ultimate answer. but if we can throw some gaming into liveshows like Phil did when Dan disappeared then for me, MAYBE liveshows win. weekly, solo or joint randomly, with 3 mins of hi-s and then 3 mins of bye-s, with camera cleaning and shout outs, but i’d take that if it means 30+ mins of Dan and/or Phil talking about how they went somewhere, what movies/tv shows watched, what books Phil has read or what they got for birthdays. i’ll even take topics that i don’t care about, because the way they talk about them is quite interesting in itself. and while gaming videos have some elements of this, i’d rather sacrifice the gaming part than the whole concept of liveshows.

looks like Phil was right, i was watching the gaming channel mainly because of the bants. but at the same time, some of the games were very interesting and i’d pay my own money to see them play Ori. i want them to talk about aesthetics, please :((

this is hard. that’s why i’m not voting on my own poll 🤡🔫 i don’t know!! because if we get at least something, that would probably be enough?! but also no. because we had both at the same time and then we lost both almost at the same time (shout out to Phil for carrying the phandom for a bit). and now we don’t have either, and i don’t know what the return of any the two could mean. gaming liveshows? which means gaming rarely randomly thrown in Phil’s or joint liveshows. but also original gaming videos were so fun. i still laugh watching them for like the 5th+ time.

With our first sentient of its kind in MAG 80 there is now again focus on tape recorders right at the beginning.

Daisy seems to be very wary of this place and its people after what she experienced with Jon.

Oh, I totally forgot we hear the calliope in this! I totally thought the trailer was just about the interviews for the murder on Leitner. I mean, yeah, this season's big bad is the circus.

I already said it in my ask to MAG 80, yay we finally reached the plot! xD I mean, of course things happened in S1 and 2, Prentiss, Gertrude, Not-Sasha, the Archives being "haunted". But this is nothing compared to how the story progresses from now on, especially when Jon starts to meet with avatars, leading up to MAG 92. I do like both. I like the story which is happening to our archive crew and I like the statements and their meta-plot. Every season has it's pros and cons. But I think, after S2 I was properly gripped by it, seeking out more activities, that would allow me to listen. So to get a feel for my progression: MAG 1 bis 19: Start of September 2020 - July 2021 (11 months) MAG 20 - MAG 40: July 31st 2021 - August 19th 2021 (20 days) MAG 40 - MAG 80: August 19th 2021 - September 2nd 2021 (15 days) (Season 3 did have a bit of a break in it for me because I went on vacation when I was done with MAG 93 on September 5th and couldn't listen for a week. Which also means that I listened to MAG 81 to MAG 93 in 4 days, oops xD)

So as the story gets faster and faster, so did I xD I think the structure does make sense as well. In-universe, Jon had to be eased into this to have enough time to develop his powers, but it couldn't have happened too fast or he would have simply died (ok, he probably could have handled a bit more than your average Archivist because the Web was rooting for him). Now that these powers are developing and getting stronger it makes sense to push him more. And it also makes sense for us as audience for a very similar reason. We had enough time to get to know the world. There's little more I hate in stories than when they immediately introduce too many character and too many not yet connected story lines and get into the action way too fast so I lose track of what happened. TMA was starting a biiiit too slow for my liking (That's why it took me 11 months for the first half of S1. This and S1 prick!Jon), but I guess I also wasn't in the right headspace for it at the time. Sorry, rambling too much about the seasons in general^^

AnimeExpo Recap Day 3-4!

AnimeExpo is over and it’s good to be back home! Although day 3 and 4 definitely much slower compared to the running around I did the first two days. I went to bed day 2 wondering what else I could possibly do. I feel like I saw what I wanted to and bought what I wanted to, and really made the most of my time. Somehow, I found a way anyways.

I realized I didn't do Yokura's Honkai Star Rail trash rally! 12 artists had a free sticker to give out on a card (on the bottom right) and once you got 6 you can come back for a free clear fil- erm, 5* light cone! It was really fun to run around artist alley with some purpose and seeing all the other artists with Honkai merch! I got a sticker of her OC Mofuko and slapped it on my water bottle and ended up picking up some prints from Belindraws during the rally! The Black Rock Shooter really sucked me in. (╯✧ ∇ ✧)╯

Funny story about the water bottle, I actually applied the sticker at Yokura's table but lost the bottle sometime at the beginning of Day 3. Near the end of Day 4 I coasted back at her table and there it still was, in a corner very out of the way and hidden but just sitting on her table... oops. She didn't notice either but I still feel like a menace. I'm honestly very surprised it didn't get swiped!

McDonalds had a booth there and I was very confused! So confused in fact that I just got in line for the hell of it to find out! It seemed the primary purpose was for cosplay photoshoots, having a mock drive through window, birthday table and ordering counter all to pose behind with staff helping with photos. You're given a poster and a pin for your time upon exiting. Seeing a Zero Two and Luffy posing behind a birthday table filled with McDonalds jargon was an experience. It also wasn't until the very end of the last day that I notiecd a giant Grimace behind the entire stand... oh no. ＼(º □ º l|l)/

Day 3 was also the only day I went out and ate real food! Most of my meals were Doordash sandwiches, Chipotle and the like but a handful of friends got together for some JBBQ! There's a nice little place not too far from AnimeExpo called Gyu-Kaku that has gluten free sauces and seem pretty good with not killing me (I have celiac) so it's sort of becoming a tradition to eat here at least once when in the Downtown LA area.

Let me tell you something about myself; I love figurines. It's a trap I constantly struggle with NOT falling into. There are so many cool anime figures but it's such a financial trap when I'm already losing to my game collecting and skeb addiction. Yet somehow, I'm slowly slipping farther into getting nendoroids and model kits. Model kits are so hands on so it's like an activity and nendoroids are so flippin' cute and both of them are WAY cheaper than most figures. SO WHEN I SEE AN ADVERTISING SCREEN WITH THIS MIKU FACE ON IT,

I caved. I even did a good job staying away from the Good Smile booth knowing I'd get suckered in day 1 and 2 but this was mostly helped by the fact that it had a large line. Day 3 there was no line to be found. BUT LOOK AT HOW CUTE SHE IS. The prices were also completely fair too. I rarely buy these sorts of things from cons because the prices get jacked up and they're cheaper online, but this was a non-issue buying it directly from Good Smiles booth. I love them.

And those are the main things that come to mind that I can accompany with pictures! There are other stories I'm excited to share on stream today that don't have photos. Needless to say, it was really fun and I'm looking forward to a AX 2024! But for now, I'm just happy to be home. It's been a very busy last month and AnimeExpo marked the end of being so busy. So really, I just can't wait to focus on streaming and personal projects.

I did actually spend a 5th day in LA and went into Little Tokyo! While it was brief, I did spend way too much on Japanese chips and snacks! I have this cute idea where I set up a handcam on the side and open every stream with a new snack sampling and review. I'll see about showing off all the different snacks I got next post! (ง'̀-'́)ง

See You at VanCAF

Hey all! My main thing is I'll be at VanCAF which is in Vancouver, British Columbia on May 20&21. They haven't posted con maps yet, so I don't know what my table number is. But I'll be there and it's free to get into. So stop by!

Like I said the big thing this month is going to VanCAF. The rest of the month is mostly keeping my nose to the grindstone. 

This month's full moon movie is The Wolfman again. This time the remake. While watching the original Wolf Man, myself and other folks in the discord talked about some of the stuff that was changed in the remake (stuff like the remake is twice as long.) So I figured doing a back to back would be kinda fun. So if you wanna join, we'll be watching it May 5th at 6pm PST. Join the discord if you want.

I mentioned last month that I was redoing the live reading of Fame and Misfortune. My mic worked this time so I've saved it and posted it on my youtube. We go over through the whole story in about 30 mins. Then I answer some questions from fans.

I'll definitely doing something like this for The Better to Find You With. As I'll get to in the next section, I got a lot of stuff on my plate. It will probably be some time in the fall.

I spent a lot of April still playing catching up on things. I was really backed up on my work for Seven Seas. I think I got it handled now, but Blue Moon is still not done. I think that has to be my primary focus this month. I was hoping to get the current chapter of You are the Chosen One last month, but that didn't happen. It's penciled so for the next few Fridays I'll post the pencils of the rest of chapter.

By the time those go up, I'll hopefully be done with Blue Moon and can give You are the Chosen One more attention. I hate to do it, but I have to put something on hold. The City Between being free means it gets me more new readers/attention and You are the Chosen One takes longer. And after I write Blue Moon, I should probably make sure the next batch of You are the Chosen One script are ready for drawing. So here's my to do list/priority:

Anyway, that's quite a lot.  I barely had time to read or watch new stuff this month. So kinda a short list this month.

Darling by Olivia Stephens - Darling is a Western Horror about a black woman who's living as a werewolf to escape the racism of 1800s America. She meets a black man on the run and the two have an instant connection Olivia art is excellent and rendering makes every page look both beautiful and haunting. It's one of the best werewolf comics I've read. You should all go back it here.

Love is Hard for Otaku - This is one checked out because Mangasplaining did an episode on it. They had a kinda mixed opinion of it, but I was curious to look into it myself. It's about a gal who's a big nerd but is hiding it from her day job because her last boyfriend dumped her for being too nerdy. A nerdy guy friend proposes they date each other because since they are both nerds she won't have to worry about him dumping her for it. There is a manga and an anime. The manga is a little rough. The pacing seems to be kinda wonky. The anime does a better job landing the jokes, mostly because a lot of the jokes involved references to anime. So the joke works better when they can copy the scene from Evangelion shot for shot, rather than translation the animation into a comic. I don't 100% buy the characters as a couple so I'm on the fence about continuing to watch it. 

Nope - This was something that was on my I should get around to seeing this movie since it came out. It was streaming so I made a point to watch it. It's less than a year old so I won't go into details about the plot. But I really liked the point it makes about random chance and nature. I also really liked the relationship between the two main siblings. It was a good mix for conflict, frustration, and affection.

Frozen Vampire Magus - CR9 Undead

The nomadic frost man left us, and ventured out into the cold alone, trusting no one.  Days later, he came back as something else.

Normally when a vampire chooses to create a vampire spawn, the spawn has the stats of a wight plus some extra abilities.  This creature represents a frost man (or other cold-themed humanoid, such as possibly a yeti, naiad, or triaxian) that’s been turned into a vampire spawn, which gives it the stats of a frost wight instead of a normal wight.  It also has 5 levels of magus, which it retains from life, perhaps because it was created by a unique vampire that can create something in between a vampire spawn and a true vampire.

This creature still carries a longsword that it used in life, as depicted in the artwork, but has no use for it as a vampire.

If your player party doesn’t include any humans, then change the bane effect on its necklace to a more useful creature type.  It’s balanced assuming that it can at least sometimes make use of that.

If you look at the nature-bonded magus archetype, it should actually be able to separate from its familiar, which is a petrifern, but I removed that ability because it just adds a dozen more special abilities that this thing would never use in combat, and would force me to write a second stat block.  If you want to let the petrifern familiar spy on the PCs, go ahead and reflavor as some kind of evergreen shrub.  The familiar would have +4 Perception and +18 Stealth, probably the only two numbers you care about.

The regular frost man vampire spawn monsters that I published a couple months ago would make good minions, or at least good other enemies in the same adventure.

Frozen Vampire Magus - CR 9

The pale blue skin of this large man is encrusted with ice, and frost clings to his hair.  Aside from his weathered chain shirt and his tattered cloak and pants, he wears little to protect him against the cold.  His emaciated figure seems not to hinder him in the slightest.

SPECIAL ABILITIES

Cold (Su) A creature touching a frozen vampire magus with natural weapons or unarmed strikes takes 1d6 cold damage.

Familiar Symbiosis (Su) A frozen vampire magus once had a plant familiar, but has permanently merged with it, increasing the frozen vampire magus’s natural armor bonus by +2 and granting it the benefits of the Alertness feat.  These bonuses are already included in its statistics.  The familiar cannot be targeted as a separate creature, and dies if the frozen vampire magus dies.

Human-Bane (Su) A frozen vampire magus’s amulet of mighty fists grant its slam attacks the human-bane property.  Against humans, its slam attacks have an extra +2 bonus to hit and deal 2d6+2 additional damage.

Natural Spell Combat (Ex) As a full-round action, when both hands are free, a frozen vampire magus  can perform a slam attack at a -2 penalty and can also cast a spell with a casting time of 1 standard action.  It gains a +2 bonus on concentration checks when doing so.  It can decide to take an additional penalty on its attack rolls, up to its Int bonus (typically 3), and add the same amount to the concentration check.

Spellstrike (Su) Whenever a frozen vampire magus casts a magus spell with a range of touch, it can deliver the spell through a slam attack or any weapon it is wielding as part of a melee attack.  Instead of the free melee touch attack normally allowed to deliver the spell, a frozen vampire magus can make one free melee slam attack or attack with a weapon it’s wielding (at his highest base attack bonus) as part of casting this spell.  If successful, this melee attack deals its normal damage and effects as well as the effects of the spell.

Blood Drain (Su) A frozen vampire magus can suck blood from a grappled opponent; if the frozen vampire magus establishes or maintains a pin, it drains blood, dealing 1d4 points of Constitution damage. The frozen vampire magus heals 5 hit points or gains 5 temporary hit points for 1 hour (up to a maximum number of temporary hit points equal to its full normal hit points) each round it drains blood.

Dominate (Su) A frozen vampire magus can crush a humanoid opponent’s will as a standard action. Anyone the frozen vampire magus targets must succeed on a Will save or fall instantly under the frozen vampire magus’s influence, as though by a dominate person spell (caster level 12th, DC 16). The ability has a range of 30 feet.

Energy Drain (Su) A creature hit by a frozen vampire magus’s slam gains one negative level. This ability only triggers once per round, regardless of the number of attacks a frozen vampire magus makes.

Gaseous Form (Su) As a standard action, a frozen vampire magus can assume gaseous form at will (caster level 5th), but it can remain gaseous indefinitely and has a fly speed of 20 feet with perfect maneuverability.

Shadowless (Ex) A frozen vampire magus casts no shadows and shows no reflection in a mirror.

Spider Climb (Ex) A frozen vampire magus can climb sheer surfaces as though under the effects of a spider climb spell.

Vampire Weaknesses Vampires cannot tolerate the strong odor of garlic and will not enter an area laced with it. Similarly, they recoil from mirrors or strongly presented holy symbols. These things don’t harm the vampire—they merely keep it at bay. A recoiling vampire must stay at least 5 feet away from the mirror or holy symbol and cannot touch or make melee attacks against that creature. Holding a vampire at bay takes a standard action. After 1 round, a vampire can overcome its revulsion of the object and function normally each round it makes a DC 25 Will save.

Vampires cannot enter a private home or dwelling unless invited in by someone with the authority to do so.

Reducing a vampire’s hit points to 0 or lower incapacitates it but doesn’t always destroy it (see vampiric fast healing). However, certain attacks can slay vampires. Exposing any vampire to direct sunlight staggers it on the first round of exposure and destroys it utterly on the second consecutive round of exposure if it does not escape. Each round of immersion in running water inflicts damage on a vampire equal to one-third of its maximum hit points—a vampire reduced to 0 hit points in this manner is destroyed. Driving a wooden stake through a helpless vampire’s heart instantly slays it (this is a full-round action). However, it returns to life if the stake is removed, unless the head is also severed and anointed with holy water.

Vampiric Fast Healing (Su) A frozen vampire magus gains fast healing 2.  If reduced to 0 hit points in combat, a frozen vampire magus assumes gaseous form (see below) and attempts to escape.  It must reach an area of natural outdoor ice or snow within 2 hours or be utterly destroyed.  (It can normally travel up to 9 miles in 2 hours.)   Additional damage dealt to a frozen vampire magus forced into gaseous form has no effect.  Once at rest, the vampire is helpless, and an ice tomb with 20 hit points forms around it as the gaseous form wears off.  The frozen vampire magus heals at the rate of only 2 hit points per hour while reforming inside this ice tomb, instead of its normal fast healing rate, and remains paralyzed and unconscious until its hit points are fully restored, at which point the ice tomb shatters and the frozen vampire magus emerges.  If the ice tomb is destroyed while the frozen vampire magus is still healing, the ice tomb reforms 1 hour later unless the frozen vampire magus is destroyed.

i like that the month of october goes along with how many days it's been past 2980. like today is the 5th, it's 2985. cool.

also my birthday is tomorrow (the 6th). it's technically my birthday here now, but it's not even 1am and i'm not asleep yet from the 5th. but birthday. more on that later.

today i got up early and went in for PT. we didn't even do much but my shoulder was YELLING all day. sore. achy. deep, deep ache. pretty miserable. but i took two advil and made the best of it.

after that i went to work with the kiddos. they are both doing really well and i'm super proud of them. like they've both improved so much since i started working with them in january and i'm so, so happy for them. their mom is happy too. she also asked me to teach her husband about the math so he can help when the kids get stuck and i'm not around. 😂 which is fair.

after that i stopped for a soda and ice cream which i had a feeling i'd want. we had game tonight, but we didn't focus on anything, really, but i was even late to doing things because i was talking to lisa and joel and daniel about the con schedule. i told lisa i wasn't going to fill up the craft room, and she gave me a look like "sure okay *rolls eyes*" all in one look and i said "im not fucking doing it. i can't handle it." and my voice broke, of course, because that kind of stress is not something i can fucking handle. no. i'm not doing it again. i didn't fucking eat last year. i'm not doing it again. and of course i cried, and joel came over to hug me and i weakly tried to protest because all i initially wanted to do was punch a wall. he held me and i just slumped to the floor and cried. i'm not gonna do it again. i'm never fucking doing that again. i don't want that stress, i don't want that chaos, and i don't want to be yelled at again by some entitled asshole who doesn't fucking get to tell me what to do.

anyway.

PT sucked this morning. deep tissue massage made it hurt even though i didn't do almost anything. the therapist gave me a few things to do at home.

work was fine. it was a "lie under the table" kind of day.

other work was satisfying. i drew gabby and myself on a paper and then gave the kids math problems.

in the meantime, my cybersecurity class professor hasn't posted module 3 anything. it's almost the end of week 3 of a six week class and we haven't heard from him since last friday. i sent a few people emails. one kicked back saying "i'll be out of the office." the other said "i'll pass this on and see what i can find out." fuckin professor hagen comin in clutch, as always. the absolute fucking legend.

got ice cream.

changed up the con schedule. had a breakdown.

had game and didn't even really so much. looked at financial aid stuff and assignments due.

watched a bunch of facebook videos while eating my ice cream which i definitely needed.

been reading fics.

in bed now.

want joel hug.
