I just thought of this as I was falling asleep. Sapnap wrecking Dream on his bed, taking his time, dragging it out. Dream says things like "You're being mean" and "you said you'd be nice this time" which earns him either a "you wanna see mean?" Or a "this is nice, would you rather I wreck you the same way you do me and George?" And next thing you know the only thing coming out of Dream’s mouth after that is frantic apologise

oh dweamie dweamie dweam. when will he learn? i guess it doesn't matter since sap will teach him anyway (:

sap has one of dreams out to the side, his own hand pressing against dreams wrist to keep it down on the bed as sap traces his free hand gently over his tummy. he would pay attention to the spots that make him jump and squeal, and do the same with the spots that make him giggle and melt. he's using a fair amount of both, switching between wanting to make dream cackle and wanting him to make little chirpy giggles ):

surprisingly dream blurts it out while sap is being gentle - his pointer finger grazes a little too close to the middle of his tummy, right on the edge of the lil dip, and dream can't help himself. "s-sahahpnap! y-you sahaid you'd behehe nice thihis tihime! y-you're being mehehean!"

and from the look on saps face dream knows he fucked up. in fact he knew it the moment the words passed his lips, already being knowledgable on how cruel sapnap can actually be when he tries. but for whatever reason he says it anyway and now sapnap is just smirking down at him, his hand frozen on the warm skin of his tummy while the hand gripping his wrist slowly tightens, pressing it more into the bed

"this is mean?" sap would swipe his finger again closer to the side of his tummy and it makes dream squeak, slightly squirming to the side but not enough to truly get away. he'd squeeze his eyes shut as sap moved his hand off of his tummy, scared to see where it's going to touch down next. he doesn't feel anything though, and after a minute he hears sapnap mumble "I'll show you mean."

and that is just a tactic to get dream to open his eyes, which he does. they actually snap open, the fear in them causing sapnap to burst into giggles because "holy shit dude, your face!" which only makes dream blush harder than he had all night. it takes him a second to register but sapnap is hovering his hand over his vulnerable armpit, and it's only when he pulls at his wrist and finds it doesn't budge that dream truly realizes how much worse it could be

just as he starts to relax though, sapnap quickly kneads his pointer and middle fingers under his arm, wiggling them quickly with pressure to make dream scream. he nearly bucks sap off, which then prompts sapnap to make an offhand comment about how it feels like he's "back in texas riding the bulls!", but dream can't help it. he tries to turn his body onto the side to block his poor lil sensitive armpit but thankfully the fingers are gone as quickly as they appeared

"so we understand now that this isn't mean, right?" sapnap would go back to running his nails over dreams jumpy tummy which would send dream back into lil squeaky giggles again. he'd nod his head at sapnap and look up at him through his squinty eyes, giggling a little louder when sap starts giggling with him as well. sap would roll his eyes, bc of course he'd be giggling at dream, how could he not when he's that adorable? but he'd really wanna drive the point home, so he'd lean down close to dream's ear, letting his stubble tk the shell of it before he spoke

Do you ever think about how Fakir, after him and Ahiru finally broke everything that kept the town of Goldkröne in the ghostly hands of its writer, after they finally have some air of peace over the town finally being able to live in its intended early 2000s environment, that Fakir still feels at times like it's not real and that for a while he fears that if he closes his eyes it'll be back in Drosselmeyer's control. Like it just doesn't feel real to him during that first year of calm, until he feels the dull pain on his recovering hand injury and Ahiru who follows him without a pendant anywhere to be found.

He doesn't feel it's real, the calm finality of this town, but he makes sure to feel the scar on his hand. And he makes sure to hold the little duck and realize that she is who she has always been. Him and the town are finally living peacefully.

ok I finished my rewatch here is the S1 recap brought to you by my brain juices having been put in a blender after that. I will tell you guys, rewatching S1 after watching S2 is so incredibly rewarding this show is just. really good!! it is!! now here are my various disorganized thoughts:

shannon's death scene is so much more hard-hitting on a rewatch. the way when she's being carried she asks for mary then reaches for her is so incredibly intimate she's surrounded by her sisters but she wants mary at her side and the ensuing goodbyes are very much heart-wrenching and there is NO way to read shannon/mary as not romantic especially since we later get hints from everyone that it was pretty much an open secret? everyone knew their relationship was special. props to the cast for delivering such an emotional scene that comes this early in the show (the tear falling from beatrice's face to land on shannon's as she kisses her forehead and says "I'll miss you, sister" is just. Cinéma. Filmé)

the way it is stressed time and again that resurrection is something the halo provides specifically for ava. there's also the way there's a direct parallel with areala bc they're both the only warrior nuns to have received the halo AGAINST their wills and I think you could say resurrection happened for areala too which is very interesting and very neat (the way these two bookend the cycle of warrior nun being fed into the church killing machine)

the way it is basically textual that vincent was the drunk driver that caused ava's accident and that is INSANE. they're both at the center of how the trajectory of their lives was fundamentally rewritten and they're both the cause that sets them on their path. vincent becomes her father figure and develops genuine affection for her and he fills a place in her life that has always been empty before and this really sets the scene for their S2 interactions.

on the topic of vincent there are so many scenes where he stands around in apparent deep meditation and comes afterwards with answers or a set course and those are literally the moments he gets his visions/messages from adriel and it happens right under our noses and we're none the wiser!! you only catch it on rewatch

ava's bisexuality is hinted at so early like literally the first person to hit on her and offer her a drink is a girl!! and then when she escapes the cat's cradle she says "I'm gonna make love to" pointed look at a girl "someone" like it was there right at the beginning

JC is the best person to have a first lay with! I am a person who subscribes to ship having to be each other's true loves not necessarily their first loves and JC was safe and harmless enough for ava to explore things that were denied her in her past life (sexuality, desire, infatuation) bc in the grand scheme of things JC does not matter. and ava subconsciously KNOWS this. ava is never 100% vulnerable or open with JC and not just bc of, you know, the supernatural things happening around and to her constantly but even the most basic information abt herself she withholds for a LONG time. JC is very interesting thematically bc he's what ava thinks freedom looks like and what she thinks she wants but absolutely not what she needs (which is basically what she explores all throughout S1). He's an uprooted vagrant person not beholden to anyone but his own whims but that means he never develops any significant bonds there's no purpose and no real belonging with him. Hell, he leaves his partners of 18 months for ava who he met a week ago. His entire character is based on leaving whereas ava wants, deep down, someone who will stay for and with her. all throughout.

the vincent monologue at the end of episode 1 hits different on a rewatch "prophets are hard to come by in these times" and he went and fashioned himself into one!! this whole things has been him trying to find a type of salvation that the church does not offer him!! especially since he's haunted by who he was in the past and when he joined the OCS he thought maybe this darkness is a demon that can be exorcised and confronted that it was in fact all him he wanted a miracle powerful enough to banish that very darkness. adriel probably sensed that vulnerability in him and came to him in visions using that to get him onboard

mary's whole s1 arc is basically that tough action guy whose wife gets killed and he goes on a rampage to find out who did it and why. she's a female john wick. which. again. I am puzzled by the fact that shannon and mary was apparently not written to read as romantic?? my dearest people you WROTE it that way. you tapped into the romance tropes.

lilith is somehow both an eldest daughter (derogatory) and a middle child (derogatory). and also a bitch and a delight and I love her so much

JC. repeatedly. and I say. REPEATEDLY. offers ava moments of vulnerability where he opens up abt himself and his life and ava offers NOTHING in return. ava is extremely guarded even as she wants him and only offers up her story when she has to and even then it's mostly to distract him from asking questions abt who the people after her are. and that's juxtaposed with how ava, after that very painful moment with mother superion and being offered comfort from beatrice, legitimately opens up to beatrice almost instantly there. Beatrice hugs her once and ava is like I spent 12 years not feeling anything below my chest I didn't kill myself I have a very complicated relationship with nuns and thus catholicism bc I wasn't treated well like the contrast there is mindblowing.

bringing me to my next point: ava instinctively: 1/knows beatrice is safe, 2/knows she is safe with beatrice, 3/ wants to trust beatrice SO BAD. and she wants intensely, for beatrice to believe her and (then in the back end of season once they're paired up) to believe in her

ava fleeing the OCS is done so well bc in 24hrs she gets put through mother superion's psychological warfare, then she hears abt the previous halobearer who I'm sure she was picturing as someone of a certain age then sees the picture and realizes shannon died young, then she goes visiting the murals of the cat's cradle and all the warrior nuns are pictured young and fighting demons, constantly, AND THEN she reads that part abt how areala died her second death YOUNG too. she gets hit with the reality of this fate, the danger of it, the certainty of a death that'll come sooner rather than later as she's appointed humanity's champion while having to fight horrors beyond a normal human's comprehension constantly. ofc my girl bailed. it's all done so very well everything that has to do with ava's arc is insanely well written

jillian calls beatrice "a petite member of the clergy" when she sees the footage of beatrice taking out an entire security team and that is SO FUCKING FUNNY. imagine calling beatrice petite to her face

on that topic beatrice's hallway fight gets projected to a room full of journalists and I am obsessed with that. did she go viral on the internet were there memes abt ninja nuns going feral

all throughout when something happens that pushes against the Norms and Rules beatrice will question it and it can come off as cold but really it's bc Beatrice strives on structure!! if she has to step outside the bounds of it, it better be righteous and worth it. like when she asks if vincent is intent on not giving the halo to lilith and keeping it within ava and he says yes her first reflex is but lilith is next in line. but the politics. this isn't to say beatrice was FOR killing ava like the moment she hears it could kill her she's NOT down to take it away from her but everytime the Order of Things is challenged Beatrice has to be walked through as to why. and if it's WORTH it. which oh boy the way this ties to her S2 arc makes me slightly insane bc ava comes barreling through that structure and beatrice says yes. she is worth upending my whole world for anyway-

Which is NOT to say that beatrice will take well to any kind of authority you actually have to earn her respect otherwise beatrice has. absolutely. zero chill. the tone she takes with duretti who's the fucking CARDINAL. from VATICAN. a pope HOPEFUL?? she is polite yes but curt and cold and very much flirting with impertinence like duretti tries to seduce her into his clique the way he did lilith and it fails astronomically and she basically tells him to go fuck himself?? to A CARDINAL?? DIRECT OVERSIGHT OVER THE OCS?? FROM THE VATICAN??? "you may always count on me to remain faithful. to God." and did you call him a power hungry whore too did you give him the finger beatrice???????

Oh I’ve just had a thought about the couch metaphor!!!

So we know that the couch is tied to romantic relationships for Buck, but that it also seems to be tied to familial ones as well. 

Chris being the one to bring up bucks lack of couch, Bucks parents being the ones to buy him his replacement (uncomfortable) couch, Buck falling asleep on the Diaz couch, both Diaz’s falling asleep on the Diaz couch (separately), Eddie not sitting on the couch when he is alone but is talking to Buck etc

We also know that Bucks current couch is the wrong couch - in terms of his romantic relationships. But it is also the wrong couch in terms of familial relationships as well - his parents choosing it for him, not Buck so its representative of Buck not getting to choose the family he was born with - which is why he can’t get comfortable on it before he goes over to Eddies and falls asleep. This is nothing we haven’t already discussed.

But the thing thats occurred to me is; as it seems likely that Kameron’s waters breaking on the couch may play some part in destroying it, that would also be the perfect metaphor for Kameron and Connors family not being the right family for Buck either - the life he helped create not being his family and re-enforcing the idea that DNA doesn’t make a family (double whammy of the Buckley parents and C&K’s Baby not being his family despite sharing DNA) because your family will meet you where you’re at (which also applies to Bucks romantic life but we’re not there yet with him) and that made me think about the fact that bothDiaz’s may comment on Buck not having a couch and that being weird, but they don’t pressure him in to actually replacing it- they just go along with where he’s at. Maddie is the other person - she sits with him on his armchair - symbolic of her meeting him where he’s at as well - she has accepted his reasoning for taking his time choosing a couch because he wan’t to pick the right one.

There is one other aspect in all this - the fact we haven’t seen Buck on the Diaz couch (until 6x12) since the will reveal - we saw him on it a lot in season 4 - playing games with Chris and then sleeping on it when Eddie was in hospital and then anything Diaz house related with buck took place in the dining room, Eddie’s bedroom or half in the kitchen in season 5 (Andrew Meyers I’d like to have a word please because he wrote Chris and Buck on the couch in s4 + suspicion which set up Buck on the couch in 4x14 and then he wrote 6x01 and 6x12 so its likely he is responsible for the whole couch metaphor) and then the first time we see him on that couch again, its in combination with a scene where they actually talk about the shooting - all very telling about whats actually been going on in Bucks head since Eddie ‘Because Evan’d’ Buck - figuring out exactly where he fits in the Diaz family! 

And actually Bucks coma dream and his feeling different in the aftermath all plays into this too - his feeling guilty about Christopher (who he doesn’t refer to by name) and Eddies physical absence - which its implied the Buck has figured out all play into the idea of Buck mentally battling with them being family - the sorry your not real implies that Buck doesn’t believe he’s a father to Chris at this point, but that things start to become clearer in the aftermath - as his math powers fade

So however we see Bucks couch meet its end in 6x18, if we do get to see him end up on the Diaz couch - choose his family - in the end then all those familial metaphors come full circle an that has really been Bucks arc for the season (actually his low key arc since 4x14!)- family and familial love - the thing he needs to feel secure in before he can focus on romantic love.

Has anyone tried looking into the past of the town?

Does the entire world know about the curse of happy tree friends village?

If people don’t know about it  how come? I’m pretty sure I saw phones and stuff. 

1. Yes! In fact, someone wrote a book about their findings.

Other than that I’m sure characters have looked into it. Sniffles had found a map at one point after all. But there seems to be limited information available to them.

2. There are certain groups outside of the Isles that are aware of the Isles and the curse. Otherwise many don’t. Some pilots and sailors may tell tales of a place that you should never fly over or sail into, as it will swallow you and you’ll never be seen again. But they’re just stories surely.

3. So the Isles are pretty big, and it’s not like it’s one island. Happy Tree is just ONE little Town within the Isles. There are other towns and cities, not to mention various different environments throughout. The Isles are like a sampling of biomes. The main characters of htf are not the only critters that inhabit the Isles so it’s not like there’s no one for them to contact within the Isles using phones and whatnot. Their phones and other forms of communication typically don’t reach too far outside the Isles. They are pretty isolated but the Isles are so big that they don’t feel isolated.

Also keep in mind that things are pretty fucky wucky thanks to the meddling of the idols. Most of the residents suffer from memory lapses regarding their demises, and things get a bit fuzzy when trying to recall their lives from before they got to this accursed place. It’s not that they have amnesia or anything, the memories just feel…far away. Dulled. Because of this they don’t tend to ponder too much about the world outside.

Even with that being said, there are probably a few limited connections that can reach the Isles from the outside world. But most of the time no one within the Isles feels the need to concern themselves with it. Ignorance is bliss.

Welcome to another episode of am I an asshole or just aroace.

Recently I've been in a situation where I've contemplated my sexuality a lot. My best friend has been telling me all about their dating escapades and honestly I'm a bit over it. Obviously as a friend I want to support someone I care about, but I just get into this mood I can't really explain??? I get so disinterested and even feel a bit hurt in a way. So ofc I do some reflecting and I think I found an answer.

A lot of my friendships with people ususlly looked different when they were romantically involved with someone. They would obviously need to prioritize their romantic partner, but sometimes I felt discarded. And i feel like we don't talk about that enough. I mentioned it a bit in my other post but to be pretty much replaced by someone you only know for a short amount of time feels some typa way. And I get it- I won't be priority #1 and I'm okay with that. But I feel like sometimes, men especially, have this toxic idea that their partners become their everything. And in turn, (in my case at least), pay less attention to their friends since their partner is now their sole support system.

So I think there's this small voice in my head telling me that when my friend(s) do find a partner, I'm just gonna be cast aside. I would be absolutely elated if my friend did find someone though, i just know for myself it would be an adjustment.

I feel like loneliness for an aroace person hits a bit different. Especially as I'm getting older, and seeing all of the people I know get into relationships, get married, and/or having kids. My family always asks when I'm going to get a partner (I haven't and probably couldn't come out to them safely). So many times I've been told I haven't found the "right person" or my aroace identity is "just a phase". And it's just gotten so old and bothersome at this point.

I can't even discern what thoughts are my own or the internalized aro/acephobia thats been deeply entrenched in my mind. I feel like I'm trapped in a state of just not knowing. And i get it, I have time, I can discover a different identity that makes more sense for me. But I don't want it!? I feel the most myself being asexual and aromantic (i think!). It's just that having to explain why or justify my existence is getting so exhausting. The way platonic love is just automatically pegged to be the least of all the other loves is just so sad to me.

I know about qprs and honestly they sound pretty dope but idk I might just end up with this loneliness eating away at me. The relationship I'd want with a person just seems so niche and unrealistic. I'm just real tired of living up to others expectations in every sense possible. Tired of not being enough. Tired of being stuck in this in-between of caring so much but not at all.

and I shouldn't have to feel like I have to be in a relationship of any kind to be whole 😩. But I think for myself I'd want it? But not the way society has envisioned it y'know?

so this post is going to be really messy and jumbled, i will take my thoughts one chapter at a time. since this post contains all the chapters in book one imma but everything under the cut and warn ya'll that this is HELLA long.

ok so, before we get into it i just wanna let you guy's know that if the first 13 chapters seem like they have less it's because i only really started to do this on chapter 14 and had to go back through chapters 1 - 13 and look at the notes and tabes i left to gage my reaction to them. some of them have a bit more than others and some have like none at all.

LA and IL get drunk in Louisianas kitchen and joke and talk shit. FL tried to listen in but drunken French is very difficult to understand.

IL and IN would invite eachother over and get wine dtunk in their kitchens.

I Headcanon IL and IN as full blooded siblings but, now they're half siblings w louis bcs of their french parentege and his french+spanish parentege. And yk Illy and Indy see eachother consistenly because they're neighbors but they take out some time to visit louis. One time where they all saw eachother constantly was in the beginning of illiyorks relationship. Indy wanted to kill York during that period of time. Louis was the voice of reason. Indiana HATED NY because Illinois would be in his or Louisianas kitchen nursing a glass of wine and crying waiting in his phone to light up. And shortly after they got together they would argue here and there, thus more drinking and more crying. IL has since gotten better at dealing with the conflict and they don't really argue anymore, but NY never knew because Illinois can't have people knowing that he has feelings. Indiana hates that NY didn't even bother to find out how IL was or even where he was. Louis knew it would be fine but he was also a lil upset.

What my Arisen thinks of him:

Syl wasn’t sure about him at first, almost like he got a bad impression, but not quite. Pawns kept insisting that Lamond might have something to share, should he get the drink he likes, which knowing their ability to travel to other worlds, means Lamond will have something to share should he get the drink he wants. Eventually besides the training he receives from the former Arisen, he got a solid friend. Lamond makes him laugh at times it’s too hard for Syl to even smile. And, Syl absolutely spotted the scar before Lamont told him he was formerly Arisen, Syl pretended to be surprised… It wouldn’t do well to let the man know he was staring, okay. Sylvas would sometimes go to the hot springs, only so he can stop to spend some time with Lamond. He appreciates the skills he taught him, and holds onto every affable advice the man says. Like every former Arisen he came to know, Syl hopes to make him proud.

What my Pawn thinks of him:

Winterheart met the Warfarer in multiple other worlds before her own Arisen’s, and she was eager for Sylvas to learn from him. So she might have hinted to him about the illicit means of which he can acquire some Newt Liquor and some locations until he finally learned the vocation. Beyond that, any friend of Syl’s is a friend of hers, and Lamond particularly is quite friendly towards her. She’s curious about him in regards of him being a former Arisen, even more than Syl is, but it isn’t like her to nose around asking questions. She feels concerned for the man sometimes, and at different points did she worry he’d be a bad influence on Syl, he isn’t. Winnie really enjoyed the times he travelled with them, for she rarely gets another warrior in the party and she has ideas. She appreciates the things she learned from him quite a lot, and thinks he’s one of the best maisters.

What he thinks of my Arisen:

Lamond quite enjoys finding a new way to mess with each new Arisen every few decades, Syl was no different. With every visit Lamond’s absent heart grew fonder, for Syl can give as good as he takes whether it came to quips or sparring. Developed some love akin to what one would have for a little brother, though he wouldn’t dare say the lad reminds him of himself. Mostly because it isn’t true, as Arisen… he had only wanted to get it over with and get his heart back, the singleminded focus on his charge had cost him many things, land lead to failure. Now if Syl was as singleminded, he wouldn’t visit him so often, so there’s a feeling of relief every time. He tries to be a bit of a mentor on things beyond battle, but he’s miserably bad at lecturing, and Syl seems to hardly need it, he’s got a good sense of duty already. Lamond thinks there’s nothing he can do to push away the gnawing worry, so he lets him be.

What he thinks of my Pawn:

He likes Winnie, she’s got… more soul than he remembers pawns having from his experience. It isn’t weird or worrying at all, oh no. He admires her skill and thinks her a very respectable warrior, often he teases Sylvas by saying he should be more like her, but Syl simply doesn’t like a heavy sword. He thinks she’s perfect as Syl’s companion pawn, from times he’s traveled with them. Lamond thinks Syl is very smart to always try his best to listen to the strategies and plans she proposes. Most of all, he thinks she’s a good friend.

Bonus: An extra headcanon I have about him:

He loves helping the Arisen after him, it gives him a purpose, and it may stop them from ending up like him. Though deep down, oh it would be nice for one of them to stick around forever.

SVEN

What my Arisen thinks of him:

Sven was the first friend Syl made in this new life, and in a way, the first (human) friend ever. He was happy to help him, and then very happy to run into him in the castle, of course it wasn’t a surprise that he was queen regent Disa’s son. That fact never deterred Sylvas, it might have urged him to befriend Sven harder. His trust in Sven was oddly unquestionable, but then Sven was helping him and Captain Brant, his trust was in the right place. Syl visits Sven a lot, and a lot, Sven is just so enthusiastic about Syl’s stories and he loves talking to him. They’d talk and talk until Sven forgets his urging for Syl to leave before it gets dark, only he’d remember once it gets dark. At the very least, sneaking out of Sven’s chambers at night has enhanced Syl’s ability at sneaking around the castle. In hindsight, Sylvas wonders why it took him so long to realize he was in love with the regentkin. Perhaps it’s the lack of a heart beating in his chest, Sven was patient til Sylvas braved a confession.

What my Pawn thinks of him:

Oh, nice enough lad. Though no one can be good enough for Sylvas, and Winnie believes that just because Sven wouldn’t hurt a fly doesn’t mean he can’t break her Arisen’s heart. Their relationship has cost her a lot of worrying over Syl, staying out of her sight too long behind the castle gates, once or twice he had entered through the gates and walked out of the gaol escape route after getting imprisoned. Alas, he would afterwards speak to her with a big wide grin, and at times, that’s all she needs to see.

What he thinks of my Arisen:

Befriending Sylvas was an act of rebellion from him as well. Of course, he didn’t know it at first, but it’s the fact that he didn’t push him away after finding out. And why would he? More reason why he shouldn’t, like helping Captain Brant uncover his mother’s plots.. He would ever hold the memory of his first meeting with Syl dearly, in a way he was too Sven’s first friend. Even if Syl knew who Sven is, he didn’t help or befriend him for his title at all. Sven tries to observe him closely through the stories he told, to see if he’s right for the throne or not. He is, undoubtedly. As were Sven’s feelings towards him, which he tried to push away a lot harder than Sylvas did, albeit he fell first. The last thing he ever wants is to put Syl in danger, and sabotage their plans, over feelings. Once they were out in the open, in the privacy of his chambers, it was a lot less difficult to deal with.

What he thinks of my Pawn:

Sven hadn’t many opportunities to get to know Winterheart well, and it isn’t at all because she avoids him, oh no. So from stories, he admires her and appreciates her for being such good partner to Sylvas.

Bonus: An extra headcanon I have about him:

Sven is a big gift giver, almost every little trinket he gets his hands on is given to someone he holds dear… even his mother. He really treasures the gifts Syl or anyone else brings him.

Another “How can I make this romcom about Ziggy/Nick?” This time? Heartbreakers!

Ziggy and Cindy are a sister con duo. They specialize in tricking wealthy man. With Cindy playing the virgin goody two-shoes, saving herself for her future husband, leading to quick marriages.

Cindy will fake passing out drunk to avoid the wedding night. This is were Ziggy comes in, luring the groom into a compromising position where Cindy will then catch them, leading to a quick divorce and money settlement.

However, behind the scenes the sisters are falling apart. Ziggy feels smothered by her older sister and wants to go solo. Cindy vehemently disagrees with Ziggy’s future plans, but agrees to let her leave on good terms after one last con to set them up financially for the next couple of years. And the biggest one yet: Actual millionaire Nicholas Goode.

The con turns out more complicated than expected, after finding out that Nick is also the Sheriff. He also shows no interest in Cindy. Ziggy convinces her sister to give it one last try and switch their usually roles with Ziggy playing the bride this time. Ziggy fails at pretending to be the sweet good girl, but Nick is smitten with her true snarky self and they hit it off. Cindy does not like it at all and the conflict between the sisters grows deeper and deeper.

While getting to know Nick, not only does Ziggy start to feel bad about what she is doing, she also starts developing real feelings for him, which freaks her out. Cindy urges her to either hurry and go through with the marriage or cut their loses and leave town. Ziggy digs her heels in and stays, but not moving forward with pushing for marriage.

Meanwhile someone from Cindy’s past pops up (Tommy? Alice?) and says something in front of Nick that makes him suspicious of her and take a closer look into her past...
