Life’s too short to always be drawing backgrounds. You don’t always have to do the absolute most, especially not for your silly western AU of an existing fandom.
That’s my mantra for today.
Good golly I love Welcome Home and drawing horses.

I had this in my head all day what would be a reverse... From Wally's place to be aware of his world and break the 4th wall and fall in love with the reader it was Howdy who would become aware and break the 4th wall and fall in love by the human reader.
Man, would he do the same thing as Wally and take the reader into his world?
I'm in love with this request dearie! As soon as I saw it my jaw dropped in shock and happiness! I did headcanon for this and made male reader since you didn't specify which gender you wanted for this reader!
Hello love bug...
Pairing: Aware!Howdy Pillar x Human!Gender neutral reader
Eddie Dear, Barnaby Beagle, Frank Frankly, Julie Joyful, Sally Starlet, All of them, Howdy's ending, Eddie and Frank, Eddie's ending, Frank’s ending, Wally's ending, Barnaby’s ending,
Aware Howdy Illustrated Au, I somehow managed to find a picture of Howdy like the one below- anywho picture done by @clownsuu
Extra: I'm gonna publish later on what are like the characteristics of my main Au which is the Illustrated Au so keep you eyes open for that
Tumblr media
It all started with a delivery order of stock where he found this Tv, let's say that in the original timeline he gives it to Wally since he had no place to it but in this one he keeps it.
That Tv was his downfall since as soon as he closed the shop and decided to check it out he saw the other world. The real world...
Of course at first he didn't want to believe it but at the end he gave up in denying it since he found the division between worlds thank to the Tv.
He didn't really go at it like Wally originally does when it came down to being aware, he was what most would call discreet.
He honestly didn't go at it like Wally originally does until he saw you sitting so comfortably in your couch while you did sketches of everyone on Welcome Home but mainly on one person and that was himself.
He couldn't help but gawk and blush at you, you were just so pretty but with time your personality, the little traits and little tattletale of your emotions had him swooning. Who wouldn't with such a pesky little thing like you?
Slowly the damn Tv and your face drove him insane, he needed to hold you and make sure that no one touches his love bug.
He wasn’t going to kidnap you, he figured that he would only need to make your life a living hell so you would willingly go with him because he was your hero, right? You did give up eventually and he decided to give you the opportunity of joining the neighborhood which you took.
“Hello love bug, welcome to Welcome Home”
Hope you liked it anon!

Hi, I hope you're having a wonderful day!!!! How would Wally and the others in your Alive AU react if Reader had a coworker or friend that was romantically interested in them? Would they just get really clingy or even aggressive, especially considering they're confined inside the house?
I am! I went skating for a long while outside and got a Starscream model kit to put together later. :) (Short fic takes place in the Alive AU)
Jealous! Everyone x reader
__________________________________________________________
It started with flowers. One day out of the blue you had came home with a huge bouquet of beautiful roses. Julie was the first to ask where you got them, they were just so pretty! You told them it was from a coworker at the public library, he was really polite and gave you these roses as a gift...you were blind to say the least, not seeing it as a romantic gesture. But the romantic gift did not go unnoticed by your colorful guests.
Poppy told you she was already preparing dinner for tonight which was a relief honestly, you felt exhausted. Two pairs of arms pulled you close for a hug, recognizing them as Julie and Sally, the two hyper sunshines of your life. "Hey there host, we reeeeaaallly wanna show you something!" Julie was practically jumping with joy while Sally let go to grab something, coming back with a stereo to play music on. The two put on a dance that almost resulted in a vase being broken, but Barnaby's soft paws were there to catch it just in time.
"How about we all dance together?" Barnaby gave you a warm smile, he always knew how to warm your heart. Holding out his paw you took hold of it, joining in the dance with the three goofballs.
During dinner, Poppy came up to you with a delicious looking small cake and placed it right in front of you. "I made you some dessert deary, eat up!" You looked down confused "But what about the others?" However, when you looked back at the table everyone had already gone to do their own activities (or so you assumed) and Poppy just sat there smiling. Soon after that awkward dinner Eddie cornered you in the hallway one arm leaning on the wall and the other holding a neatly folded letter with red hearts all over it. "Here you are sweets, Frank and I wrote this just for you." You firmly grasped the paper and unfolded it. It was a beautifully written poem about you. "Wow, thank you Eddie I don't know what to say, this is very well written! I love it." Eddie gave you a small kiss on the head like he always did and the tip of a hat before walking downstairs whistling a small tune.
Later that night Howdy came by the bathroom as soon as you got out of the shower to gift you with the shiniest apple you've ever laid eyes on. You questioned where he got it from but Howdy only responded with "It's a secret! Just know that it's 100% off for you!" You couldn't say no to that goofy grin of his, plus he was just so happy to give it to you! You took it from him with a warm smile on your face... Also because his giant body was blocking you from leaving.
Once you finally managed to get by the giant caterpillar with your new gift you went to your room to settle down and sleep, rolling around a bit in the sheets until you got comfortable enough and closed your tired eyes.
Not even a minute after closing your eyes you felt the bed dip beside yourself and a long arm snaked over your torso. Only one person you know does that. "Wally, what are you doing?"
"I'm just cuddling my dearest host to sleep is all.~" You peeked open an eye after hearing that. He always did this when he wanted something out of it. "What do you want?"
"Nothing at all! You're the most I could ever ask for...buuut since you brought it up, you might as well do me a teeny tiny favor." You rolled in bed, turning yourself towards his chest, you were too cozy to care about the intimacy. "Hmh?" You hummed in acknowledgment.
"Stop talking to Derrek."
You sat up immediately. Not once did you tell anyone who it was that you've been talking to. "How did you-" a finger shushed you. "I know about him, and I want you to stay away. Can you do that for me darling?" He smiled coyly, but really it felt like he was threatening you. "No...Wally I can't just ghost someone like that. Besides we're just friends." The arm around you tightened as you squirmed to get out of your own bed. "Oh I know, but I would really love it if you two would quit talking. I don't think he's right for you."
Your eyes narrowed at him, for once the cocky bastard didn't look so cocky. "Wally...are you jealous? Is that what all of this is about? The gifts, the dancing, the constant cuddle sessions from you and everyone else here?" You watched his body go rigid and his face scrunch up into what was almost a frown. Wow, he's actually kind of frowning for once. That was rare.
"Wally, we're not a thing. Derrek and I are just friends and I don't intend to ever date him. I'm glad you and the others really care about me this much but you really shouldn't worry about my safety." You spoke more softly, finally understanding where he was coming from. The iron grip on your waist didn't falter though and you felt yourself suddenly being forced into a bear hug.
Julie swatted Barnaby's long tie out of her face so she could lean in closer to the door to listen. Everyone else did their best not to make any noise as they listened in.
"Look, if it makes you feel any better I'll just tell him we're nothing more than friends and to keep it at that, but I can't just cut people out of my life like that...alright?"
An audible groan left everyone's mouth hearing that, startling you and Wally both. Silly host, how can you be so blind to love?
Looks like the dear reader doesn't understand just how much everyone loves them yet! Personally I don't think any of them would be the type to hurt you or others EXCEPT for Wally. I think they would probably just try to shower you with their love to make you like them more...however, if you are straying too far from them they may need to find a way to make you a permanent resident at the house, just not at your house. They've got a nice place just for you back Home.

What your favorite Welcome Home ship says about you!
(Disclaimer: it’s all from assumption. And I don’t know their ship names but I will gladly edit the post to put some! Along with assumptions that y’all want to add on I will edit :D)
Frank x Eddie: You like the idea of being seen as a good person even though you might come out as grumpy to everyone else. And you ever so crave the feeling of being listened to. You also want the himbo man to be given happiness.
Wally x Julie: You like the idea of two optimistic people with contrasting personalities and can find happiness in the smallest things.
Wally x Barnaby: You like the best friends to lovers trope. You also might have a crush on your best friend I’m just saying-
Wally x Eddie: You hate Frank /j.
Or you like the idea of greeting someone with a smile as they smile back at you, making you feel greater than before by just their presence.
Wally x Frank: You hate Eddie /j.
You like the idea of a silent mutual agreement between them. Where they can coexist with each other and have small conversations.
Or you really like the Spongebob and Squidward duo.
Wally x Eddie x Frank: You’re not a hater
Frank x Howdy: You hope for Frank to see Howdy turn into a butterfly one day.
Or the aspect of an antisocial character having all eyes on a person that interests them. Thus lowkey manifesting a crush.
Julie x Sally: You like girls or people who lean more onto a feminine style. You also like seeing two of the most happy and creative people bond
Wally x Howdy: You let the imaginary beef between them slide (or kept it) and decide that they should kiss one day.
Julie x Poppy: Poppy deserves some love (PLEASE recommend me something else to say)
Wally x Everyone: You want Wally to be loved no matter what. And you probably want to beat up a house
Wally x Sally: You like to ship yellow people with creative traits. And you think they should collab with each other to create something great
Wally x Home: We get it. You like big people.
Julie x Frank: You like the dynamic of the grumpy person with the optimistic person who tolerate each other but not in a neutral way but in a besties way
Frank x Eddie x Howdy: Each character has at least 2 hands. Might as well use them all. You also might think that Frank is the ultimate rizzler.
Wally x Any version of himself (including the AUs): What’s your favorite Undertale AU? Come on. Don’t be shy.
Additional notes.
Any Wally ship with someone who is magnificently taller than him probably says that you probably needed a hug
If you ship Frank with anyone, you’re likely craving for attention and to be listened. You also wanted to tell someone about some internet lore from Tumblr. You’re probably neurodivergent.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Dr. Wally Darling x patient child reader
This is my first ever story ever. I am working with a new Welcome Home AU that takes place on a children's hospital. Wally and his friends as the staff. I really like the idea and wanted to get my feet wet with a small little story/ prompt.
Y\N is a young child, who has a rare disease that makes their Immune system very weak. Sadly they spend more time in the hospital then at home. This has made them become very close with Wally and his friends kind of like a second family, but Wally is their favorite. Today he is finishing his rounds, as he sees Y/N he hopes to bring a smile to their face.
Dr. Darling was waking down the bright and colorful hallway, he was just about to finshie his rounds for the day. He always make sure to stop and see each of his young patents personality, many of them alone, their families having gone for the day. Just to help them feel more comfortable, he knew how scary it could be in a place like this and not always understand what's going on. He stoped as his eyes go through his list, he only had one more patent to see, Y/N. He sighs sadly to himself. Y/N was here often, more oftne then not, they had a rare disease, one that made their Immune system so weak a common cold could be deadly. Luckily they were recovering well and should be able to go home soon.
Because of just how often they were here, Wally and his friends became like a second family to the child. With their family having to work to pay the medical expenses Y/N didn't get to see them often. Y/N loved the staff and was not scared when they were there. Barnaby was funny and always made them smile and laugh when he stoped by. Sally and Julie kept their Imagination alive with their plays and silly stories. Poppy was like a mother, baking treats and goodies for them and the other children. Eddie always brought them to the hospital and made sure the trip was as easy for them as possible. Though they did not get to see Frank or Howdy often, the two were also kind and always taught Y/N something new whenever they met. Still Wally was Y/N's favorite, he was so kind, and made them feel less lonely and special, they loved his werid laugh and soft voice. Despite this all it hurt them all to see a child go through this. Shaking his head from the thought he put his best smile in and knocked on the door and called out, "Y/N I am here for your check up".
Y/N looked up from a book their were reading and smiles happily. "Wally!! Your here". Their voice happy but tried. The room was colorful, bright and closer to that of a typical child's room then that of a hospital. The room was Y/Ns, filled with toys, stuffed animals, books and many childish drawings of Wally and his friends. It felt, sounded and even smelled less like a hospital, so that they could feel at home.
Wally kept his smile on as he walks over to the bed. Y/N was on, to check on the medical equipment Y/N was attached to and the IV, making sure to re fill it with their mediation. "How are you feeling today? Any better?" He asks them, stopping his work to give the child his full attention.
"I am doing better, I did not cough a lot and I was not tried all day! I even got to go to the play room." Y/N says, before letting out a little yawn.
He lets out his trademark laugh, "you definitely seem better, in fact I think your be able to go home in a couple of days." He tells them, after taking another look at their chart.
"Really?!" They ask, their eyes bright a even bigger smile on their face.
He nods "Yes, your doing a lot better, I think just a little more time and we will send you home with some medicine." It was always a hope when they sent them home it be the last time, it never was, a couple weeks later they were back tried, sick and sad. If only a cure could be found. No child should be forced to miss out on life, school, fun and freedom. Then a little thought came to his mind, just a small silly thought. "Y/N how you ever head the expression, An Apple a Day Keeps the Doctor away?"
They look at him and shake his head, "No Wally, I never have, do you mean if I eat a apple every day it will scare you away?! I don't want to do that" They say shocked their eyes wide.
Again the room was filled with his laugh as be shakes his head. "No, silly it means that if you eat a apple everyday, you will stay healthy and won't have to see the doctor. You wont have to come here anymore".
"Wait...that would mean I won't be able to see you...and the others..? You guys dont like me anymore?!" Y/N looked upset their eyes starting to water, yes they hated to be sick but they also loved everyone here, it made being sick not as bad, and with missing so much school Y/N had trouble finding and keeping friends. For them they only had their parents and the staff here and the thought of not seeing them anymore was breaking their heart, their grip on their book getting tighter.
Wally bit his lip, his little idea quickly backfiring on his as he shakes his head quickly and gives the child a serious but still kind look. "No Y/N we never stopped liking you, your sweet, funny, strong and deal with to much for someone so young. What I mean is we want you to get healthy and enjoy your life, a hospital is no place for a child to grow up in. You should be able to play outside, go to school, and enjoy everything life has to offer. We all care about you and everyone who comes through these doors, but our goal is to make sure when you leave you don't have to come back". His voice was kind as he hopes he reaches the child.
Y/N wipes the tears from their eyes their voice a little weak as they speak. "Will...you re..remember m..me?" They ask this voice shaking.
He can't help but smile softly again and nod. "We will never forget you, helping children to life a happy life is what we love to do, and every time we help someone we know that their life is all the better after. It may be hard at first, but your strong Y/N, and once your healthy you can face anything your life will throw your way. I just hope you don't forget me and the others.." he says with a coy smile.
Y/N eyes widen at Wallys kind words their eyes still forming more tears as they lean forward and hug the small man. "Of ..c.ccouse not..I wi..will never...forgot..you guys." They say between their crying.
He was a little taken back, at the studden hug but carefully he returns the hug, patting their back, as he gently tries to help them claim down. Their crying getting softer, as the tried feeling came back. The warmth of the hug and the thought of someone caring for them helping to allow their mind to settle down. Wally carefully lays them down on the bed and takes the picture book and lays it on the nightstand. "I will hold you to that promise, and now I want you to make a promise to me."
"What is it ..wally?" They ask as they yawn and close their eyes. sleep just about to take them.
"That you will get healthy. Live a happy life and eat an apple a day to keep me away?" The only answer he got from that question was a single nod and a "I..promise Wally". Y/N falling into a peaceful sleep.
Wally sighs, as he covers them up and stands up to leave. "And I promise you, that we will find a cure, so that a apple a day really does keep me away." He made a promise and he would not break it.

I did an AU!!
If you don't like wally x frank and you're one of those toxic eddie x frank lovers that bothers you to see others who like other frank ships that aren't with eddie, please don't read it or I'll bully you. >:c
Wally is a Fairy + Butterfly and lived in a neighborhood near the forest that was mostly butterfly and caterpillars, there are also other insects that were harmless.
One day Wally, his first time, did not know what to draw this time, he could calmly paint a portrait or a passage, but he did not know what. painting something related to the neighborhood did not convince him, it already seemed boring to him, he wanted to see something new and original.
So he decided to walk around looking for inspiration, he found it, but he also found a "new" species, frank, the human. (his appearance of him is still a puppet but it is understood) then wally decided that this human was going to be the new painting of him.
Wally was the place that he found frank every day, of course he stared at frank to memorize any detail about his appearance and personality before painting him, little by little he grew curious about him and humans.
But there was one day, Poppy realized that every day Wally was not at home or with someone, usually he was always with Barnaby or with someone else. then he found out that wally was going to the forest to "dress" a human (it wasn't home's gossip at all that he told him) when wally returned home at night, poppy got in the middle of his way to warn him that it is dangerous to be near the human, since they steal his normal butterflies (normal butterflies are like horses, their function is for the caterpillars to ride them to go places that are very far away or they need to fly to get there) and they never come back. (since some humans catch butterflies to have them inside a painting and have them decorated on the walls)
So wally gets a little scared and starts to be a little careful when he goes to spy on frank... lie, wally was caught by frank, who mistook him for a flashy/very rare butterfly with wings.
Frank put Wally inside in a glass vase and looked at him excitedly to analyze it and... Frank was like that when he saw that it was a mini human with butterfly fairies: Ö
When wally greeted him, frank was like this: D:
He almost drops the vase in fright but I catch it so the creature doesn't get hurt. when frank calms down a bit, he starts talking to him a bit and frank learns more about wally and discovers that there's more to him. (And he finds out that Wally had him staring at him for days.) Frank lets him go, Wally unexpectedly visits him the next day.
There an interesting friendship begins, both discover each other, and also the customs and culture of both species. (perhaps wally here already knows how romantic love feels and understands it a bit) and even frank took wally to the neighborhood where he lived (obviously hidden) to see what the human world is like.
Poppy was accompanied by someone to look for fruits to make a cake, they saw Wally was in Frank's hands with a broken wing and he took him home, they both got scared and ran to the neighborhood to ask for help.
Everything was fine until one day a bird tried to eat Wally. Although the bird did not achieve its goal, it was able to hurt one of Wally's fairies.
luckily frank was there to rescue him and scare the bird away. when the bird flew away, frank realized that wally had a broken fairy and he took it to his house to repair his friend's wing.
Barnaby heard her screams, heard what Poppy saw in the woods, and went straight to "rescue" Wally.
Barnaby entered Frank's house (quick explanation, his house is a little closer to the forest) in the window he saw Frank with Wally repairing his wing, he entered the house and made a golden dust on top of Frank to make him smaller, to rescue Wally and take Frank to the human prison. (They made a prison for humans steal butterflies)
But Wally convinced Barnaby that Frank is not bad and rescued him from a bird that tried to eat him, but still Wally has to clarify with the officers about the accident (so they don't think that Frank is a prisoner trying to escape) and Barnaby has to find out who is the inventor of the golden glitter // Barnaby knows the inventor of the gold dust, but the invention did not occur to him to make a powder that has the opposite effect of the golden dust.
While Frank waits for a powder to exist to return him to his original size, it's his turn to get to know Wally's world in person and little by little, feel something for him.

Masterpost
My name is Story and this is one of my many sideblogs created to escape the people I already know (/hj or not), specifically dedicated to overall Marvel-related fuckery.
As a disclaimer, I play with canon characters as if they are my Barbie dolls (not in the sense that i kill spiders with their dismembered legs). What I mean by that is that whatever you find here will most likely not align with canon in any sense and I am probably well aware of that. And yes this is a self-insert/self-ship/x reader friendly blog because I believe people should be allowed to have fun.
Posts will probably will mostly be art and maybe reblogs if I get over feeling like interacting with other blogs is somehow incredibly intimate.
I don't fuck with proshippers or -phobes of any kind nor with people who don't properly tag their shit (very enticing i know). Other than that I like to imagine I'm a fairly okay person to be around and talk to so if you feel like there's something we may want to talk about, be my guest.

📓📔📒📕📗📘📙📚📖!!!!!!!!!
Okay. 9 books, 9 fics. You're welcome.
1. Kastle/The West Wing Crossover Every time I watch TWW, I think about Karen and Donna Moss being friends, and once I thought of a fic where during the early seasons of TWW, the President and staff go to New York and Karen is moderating one of the series of town halls they're there for (specifically one where Josh Lyman is speaking). And of course that one, because reasons I had not yet come up with, gets attacked by The Hand, and Karen, Donna and Josh (who gets injured, because Josh ALWAYS gets injured) get rescued by Frank and it basically ends with the President demanding to meet Frank to thank him for saving Josh's life and everyone is like, "Mr. President do you not understand that Frank Castle is technically a MURDERER and the Secret Service will n e v e r let you in the same room with him and it's bad enough that you're currently on the same ISLAND?" So, yeah.
Here's something I wrote for it:
“Josh, did you hear?”
“I have impeccable hearing, Donna,” Josh says without looking up from the memo in his hand. “What is it that I am supposed to have heard?”
“Carol told me that she heard from Lindsay in credentialing that Karen Page has been assigned to cover the President’s town halls in New York for the New York Bulletin!”
He waits for her to keep going, but she doesn’t so, he looks up and sees her waiting expectantly, “And?”
“Karen Page? What It Means To Be A Hero Karen Page. She’s connected to half the vigilante-superheroes in Lower Manhattan. She was held hostage by ninjas. She interviewed Tony Stark about the Sokovia Accords. Last year, The Punisher himself may or may not have held her hostage after saving her from that terrorist Lewis Wilson.”
“And?”
“And, would it be inappropriate, as a member of the White House Staff, to ask her for her autograph?”
Kastle: The Big Indulgence
This is one of the first long fics I came up with for Kastle (and come hell or high water I WILL write it one day). Basically, it puts the NMCU actually IN the MCU. Post TPS1, Sarah tracks Karen down and they become friends, and at the same time, Frank becomes friends with Bucky Barnes (yes Emily, I know he's not your fav) by way of Curtis' group (Curt, of course, regrets ever letting them interact ever). Karen gets nominated for an award for her journalism work by the Maria Stark Foundation, where she meets Pepper, Natasha, and Darcy, and befriends them as well. Everything comes to a head and Karen and Frank reunite after the discovery that Sarah Lieberman is related to one of Bucky's surviving family members (the Liebermans are Jewish, Bucky's family is Jewish, it works!). Then, things related to Billy and Hydra happen, there's an incident where a few people disappear into an alternate universe for...an... amount of time, the Avengers meet the X-Men to help get them back, and Frank may or may not be a little psychic. Someone ends up coming from that alternate universe who doesn't belong here, but it's okay because she's [redacted] and also Leo's [redacted].
Leo-Centric, Kastle
Leo gets an internship as Darcy Lewis' assistant (well, technically she's working for Jane Foster, but it's basically working for Darcy), where she meets Karen, matchmakes her with Frank, and also gets a girlfriend. I think the summary says it best:
Summer 2021.
In which Leo Lieberman gets the internship of a lifetime—working for Jane!Freaking!Foster’s soon-to-be former personal assistant, Darcy Lewis—both comes out of the closet AND gets the girl, and helps her long-lost murder-uncle finally reconcile with the ace reporter of his dreams.
If Frank was actually bulletproof, it would totally be just like Superman and Lois Lane.
5 Times Seth Tells Kate He Loves Her
A five-times fic where Seth is just ass over tea kettle in love with Kate, and makes sure she knows it and doesn't care what other people (read: Richie and Scott) think about it. The first one takes place the night they get back from Matanzas, and I just love the little bit I've written so far. I know 2 that I'm going to write so far, so...3 to go.
Kate Meets Vanessa Post S3
So I started writing this around Valentine's Day this year, and I might keep it as a Valentine's Day fic no matter what, but basically, in a grand universal coincidence, Vanessa strolls into Jed's just because she's stopping for lunch on her way to...somewhere. She meets Kate, who is covering the bar for Kalinda and Greer (a culebra OC that I will one day actually formally introduce in my fics, I promise), who are downstairs "checking on inventory" read: screwing in a maintenance closet because it's Valentine's Day, and then Seth comes out and there's a little, very awkward reunion, and basically Vanessa is the MOST amused, Seth is the MOST uncomfortable and Kate's just like...okay? And? Also, Seth is still bitter about Vanessa taking the tire iron to his car back in early S1.
The SK/Detroit 187 Fusion
Seth is a detective in Houston PD, who comes into the office one day to discover they...hired an intern? Said intern is Kate Fuller, a grad student at the University of Houston, who is working on her master's thesis by studying something related to crime (duh). Seth thinks she's a Disney princess in human form and they're very antagonistic with one another, but also he likes her way more than he thinks he should (but feels a LOT better about it when he finds out she's 23, not like...barely legal to drink or anything. Angst happens when a gang (Malvado's, but Carlos' branch of it) attacks Kate's family and kills her parents, and Seth takes her to Eddie and Richie for protection while he and his partner, Ximena, and the rest of the department solve the case and put Carlos' crew away.
SK Post 2x02 AU
After Kate and Seth part ways in 2x02, Kate goes back to Bethel, but Scott isn't there (so Jessica lives). She ends up in Houston for two years, working at a gym and keeping her to the ground looking for word about her brother, until one night, she's attacked by a bunch of Culebras, and is saved by Seth, Richie, and Kisa. She finds out that Carlos and Malvado are after her because she's the key to the way to the Blood Well, and Carlos and Malvado's henchwoman, the one and only Sonja, draws them all back to Bethel by putting Jessica in danger, and...it's all going to come to a head in some way that involves them saving Jessica from Sonja and killing Malvado and stopping the events of S3 from ever having to happen.
SK Season 1 AU
I don't know if i'm ever going to go anywhere with this, but I had this thought of...what is Carlos as Kyle wasn't a dick to Kate, and he took her to Mexico instead of Kate going back with Jacob and Scott. She ends up at the Twister before Seth and Richie do, and spends time with Kisa before she goes out to perform, and somehow it ends up with Kate going through the labyrinth with the brothers? I don't know. Something like that.
The FDTD/The Punisher Crossover That Starts Off In New York
So this is one of 2 crossovers I have for SK-meets-Kastle, but I love it. This is post 2x02, and Kate ends up in New York after not being able to find Scott back in Bethel. She ends up going to work as NM&P's assistant, and befriends Karen. To get to know one another better, Karen takes Kate to Josie's, where Kate discovers that Josie is a culebra, and Josie promises to keep Kate's secret. One day, this...guy shows up at the office, asking to talk to Karen, and Karen kicks Kate out of the office while they talk, and when she comes back, the guy is gone and Karen doesn't want to talk about it. (It's Frank, of course it's Frank). Also featuring one day where Frank is on the roof, Matt gets wind of it and goes up there to confront him about seeing Karen again and comes back with a black eye, and Kate is V confused whereas Karen is 10000000% pissed off at them both. Not long after, Kate and Karen are out one night, and they're attacked by a bunch of culebras. Frank helps intervene while Kate really is the one to save the day...and then she has to explain culebras to them. Of course, Karen saw aliens fall out of a portal above Stark Tower, so...snake vampires? Whatever. Kate calls Freddie to figure out why she was attacked and it turns out Carlos and Malvado are after her (and, later found out Karen too). Kate, Karen and Frank end up in Texas and things all come to a head at the blood well, as it does, and while Carlos shoots Kate in front of Seth, Richie, and Scott (which, BAD IDEA), Kate falls into the blood well, and when she's pulled out, she's healed. But...she also has something inside her that wants to destroy the world, and everyone has to race against time to figure out how to get Amaru out of Kate before she takes over completely and destroys them all. They figure out a way, but it has an...interesting side effect for Kate and Seth. Also, this is the one where Maggie takes one look at Freddie and Ximena and shrugs and says, "You know what? Porque no los dos?"
So yeah, there you go!
(Also, I thought about also including the Amaru isn't evil, she's just cranky and wants to go home, S3 AU, but we just talked about it yesterday, so I figured it doesn't count hahaaha.)
send me a book emoji of any kind and i will tell you about a fic idea i have

The Risk
Genre: Fighter!AU
Pairing: Park Seo Joon x You (Female!Reader)
Warnings: Mentions of alcohol
Part 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 | Words: 1,938
Tumblr media
“What’s the most expensive beer they have?” Seo Joon’s manager, Jang Ho, asked with a rakish smile, though it was clear he was trying to hide just how euphoric he was at the moment.
Seo Joon let out a breath of a chuckle, shaking his head to himself as he eyed the menu. When he heard Jang Ho say, “Waitress,” he looked up with slightly raised eyebrows. His manager was beaming at someone standing behind Seo Joon, and judging by what Jang Ho had just said... it was probably a waitress.
“I’m a... a server, actually,” a somewhat timid but certainly female voice responded. “Like how you say ‘Flight attendant’ now instead of ‘Stewardess.’”
Jang Ho cleared his throat, instantly looking a bit ashamed. “Yes, of course -- Server, a round of your most expensive beer, please.”
“Okay,” the server replied with a soft chuckle. “A special occasion?”
Before Seo Joon could say anything, his manager let out a proud laugh and held his arm out, gesturing across the table to him.
“We have a winner here!” he announced.
“Oh,” the server replied, obviously intrigued. “What did you win?”
Seo Joon finally turned around to the server, prepared to brush it off and request she go get the beers Jang Ho ordered. But when his eyes landed on the girl standing behind him -- when his eyes landed on you -- he found he suddenly lost the ability to speak.
To be honest, you weren’t the most beautiful human being on the planet. It’s not like you were an aspiring model working at a restaurant until you made it big. You were good-looking, certainly, but... well, you just seemed like... a normal person. There really wasn’t a better way to put it.
But... there was still something about you. Something Seo Joon couldn’t quite put his finger on. Something which had left him speechless and dumbfounded.
“He just won an MMA championship,” Jang Ho answered, and Seo Joon watched as the look on your face transformed from curious to confused.
“What’s that?” you asked innocently.
Seo Joon heard his manager sputter, and he started to say, “You’ve never heard of --” but Seo Joon cut him off.
“It’s nothing,” he assured you with as beaming of a smile as he could muster.
Your eyes turned to lock on his now, and Seo Joon had to swallow down a sudden lump of anxiety in his throat. Now that you were making eye contact with him, that mysterious something about you was even more apparent -- yet he still had no idea what it was.
“Oh,” you replied with a shy and somewhat bewildered chuckle. “Well, congratulations, anyway.”
“Thank you,” Seo Joon nodded. “Can we add some cheese breadsticks to that round of beer? Two orders?”
“Absolutely,” you grinned as you jotted it down on your notepad. “I’ll get those right out for you.”
Seo Joon thanked you again, and as he turned back around, he heard his manager singing a very teasing “Oooooooh!”
“What?” Seo Joon chuckled almost under his breath.
“You like her,” Jang Ho announced as he waggled his eyebrows. “You’re blushing!”
Of course, Seo Joon only noticed at that moment his cheeks did feel quite warm.
“I literally just met her,” Seo Joon replied with what he hoped was a ‘you’ve got to be kidding me’ smirk. “We really didn’t even meet. I know absolutely nothing about her.”
“Then why are you blushing?”
“I’m thinking about how embarrassing you’re going to be in about an hour once you’ve had five beers,” Seo Joon quickly retorted. The entire table then burst out into rowdy cheers, and he felt one of his trainers next to him slap him on the back in appreciation.
Jang Ho, obviously, was properly put in his place with that remark, and when you returned only a few minutes later carrying a large tray of beer bottles and two baskets of cheese breadsticks, he didn’t even raise an eyebrow at Seo Joon.
“Are we ready to order or do we need a few more minutes?” you asked after you’d cleared the tray, setting a bottle in front of everyone sitting at the table (seven people in total: Seo Joon, Jang Ho, Seo Joon’s coach Victor, and three trainers from the gym, Kevin, Ji Hoon, and Eddie).
“I think we’re ready,” Victor answered with a nod.
Out of instinct, everyone else at the table lifted their gazes to look at Seo Joon, assuming he would order first. That’s just how it always was. He was the star, the moneymaker, the one who did the actual dirty work, so he usually ordered first at their celebratory dinners -- or even their normal, regular, average, non-celebratory dinners.
But you had turned to the person to your right, Eddie, your brows raised as you waited patiently for him to order.
Jang Ho opened his mouth, most likely to tell her that Seo Joon would order first, but Seo Joon caught his manager’s eye and shook his head in the most inconspicuous way possible.
Once everyone had ordered and you had promised to be back shortly with their food, Jang Ho furrowed his brow over at Seo Joon, looking quite confused.
“She doesn’t know who I am,” Seo Joon explained even though his manager hadn’t even asked anything. “I don’t need to be treated like a celebrity, and to be honest, I like that she doesn’t know I’m -- well, you know --”
“A big deal,” Kevin interjected.
“A champion,” Ji Hoon added.
“A world champion,” Jang Ho corrected. “Two times over.”
“The most well-known athlete in MMA right now,” Victor piped in.
“Yes,” Seo Joon sighed rather impatiently. He knew he was a good fighter, but hearing all of this praise still made him slightly uncomfortable. “So just let her stay blissfully unaware that she’s serving a two-time world champion, okay?”
Was it so strange that he wanted to be treated as an average person?
The six other men mumbled their assent, and Seo Joon mumbled his thanks in return. He wanted to celebrate his win, of course; he had trained hard the past few months, and tonight’s win had been particularly satisfying. But it was enough that he and everyone else at his table knew what they were celebrating. For some reason, he didn’t feel the need to clue you in, and he was actually quite looking forward to having just a normal dinner.
Tumblr media
As was typical for Seo Joon and his team, they stayed at the restaurant for over two hours eating, drinking, and being just a touch too rowdy for a public space. They were celebrating, though, and when you put together six guys who are all in a terribly good mood and too many glasses of beer to count... well, rowdiness is inevitable.
That’s why, when everyone finally stood to leave (and call taxis home), Seo Joon left you an enormously generous tip. You had endured quite enough to last you for the rest of the evening -- the week, probably -- and... well, Seo Joon had developed just a little bit of a crush on you in the past two hours.
You were attractive, that much he had known from simply seeing you for the first time, but you were also sharp-witted and clever. You had responded to any number of remarks from Seo Joon’s table with no hesitation, and more than once, your words had made them react in the same way they’d reacted to Seo Joon telling his manager he was an embarrassing drunk. You obviously had a sense of humor and were incredibly smart, two qualities Seo Joon happened to value in a woman.
Not only were you pretty, smart, and funny, though -- you were patient. You kept coming over to the table to ask if they needed anything, and every time someone ordered another a drink or one more appetizer, you hadn’t sighed or secretly rolled your eyes. You had simply smiled, nodded, wrote it down in your notepad, and turned to fulfill the request.
And for that, there was a rather substantial wad of cash lying on top of the receipt for you.
Seo Joon had stayed back to count out the tip, and by the time he turned to leave, he saw no one else from his party still in the restaurant...
Which was exactly what he wanted.
He took his time heading toward the door, keeping his eyes peeled... and when he saw you, he quickly pivoted and made a beeline.
“Hey,” he greeted quietly, following you back to the table he’d just vacated.
“H--hi,” you replied, obviously a bit startled by his sudden presence.
“Listen, I --” Seo Joon began, cutting himself off because, to be frank, he very rarely did something like this. “Please feel free to ignore me, but I was wondering... if I... gave you my phone number... would you... call me?”
You stopped walking, and Seo Joon almost ran into your back. If he’d consumed one more beer than he had, he probably would have.
“Excuse me?” you asked, sounding quite surprised.
“It’s just -- you’re... really funny and -- and smart... and pretty...” he explained.
“Uh... I -- I don’t --” you stammered. Seo Joon felt his heart already start to sink, and then you finished your thought. “I don’t think I would call you.”
It took everything in him not to let out a disappointed sigh.
“Right,” he murmured. “Sorry, just thought I’d --”
“Maybe I would text you,” you interrupted. “I just...  I don’t really like talking on the phone.”
And that sinking heart of his floated right back up as a small smile lifted the corners of Seo Joon’s lips.
“Yeah?” he asked, just tipsy enough to let his voice fill with anticipation.
“Maybe,” you replied with a soft chuckle. You had reached the table then, and Seo Joon quickly took the pen he’d used to sign his receipt. He slid out the customer copy receipt underneath (because who took those anyway?) and scribbled down his phone number.
After he set the pen down, he stood and turned toward you, holding his hand out for a handshake. “I’m Seo Joon, by the way. Park Seo Joon.”
You hesitantly took his hand, shaking it firmly and shooting him a tiny grin. “Y/N,” you replied.
“Y/N,” Seo Joon repeated, mirroring your smile with one of his own. “Nice to meet you. Again, you don’t have to do anything with my number if you don’t want to... I just... wanted to try.”
“Okay,” you replied with a soft, bashful laugh, and Seo Joon noticed your cheeks getting just a bit pink as you somewhat avoided his gaze. You had seemed fairly confident as a server, but apparently, you were shy as a person?
“Okay,” he nodded. “Thank you. I’ll, uh -- Bye.”
He had been going to say something like ‘See you later’ or ‘talk to you soon,’ but he didn’t want to put any pressure on you to contact him.  He honestly wasn’t expecting to hear from you because he had given you no reason to want to. He hadn’t flirted with you, so you almost certainly hadn’t any idea he was interested until just now.
But still.
Like he’d said, he had just wanted to try. He was known for taking risks in the ring, and he figured it was time to take a risk in real life, too.
The worst that could happen was he could never hear from you.
But the best that could happen?
The risk was worth it.

Unpack My Heart With Words – Updated
Tumblr media
Chapter 5 of my Hamlet/Theatre Reddie AU. The chapter is called When sorrows come, they come not single spies, but in battalions.
You can read it on AO3 HERE or I’ve pasted it under the cut.
Preview:
“Heh. I suppose,” Eddie responds. “I remember reading King Lear when I was at RADA, when I was convinced that I’d be the one reciting the lines, rather than instructing people how to read the lines. My Lear is based on someone from my past.”
Richie feels sick.
“Oh?” the interviewer probes, “I imagine you don’t think favourably of them, then? They’ve got to be a pretty painful relic, surely?”
Richie watches the on-screen-Eddie pause. Eddie’s eyes close before he responds.
“Quite the opposite, actually. Thank you so much for having me”

The road Richie lives on is small and unassuming, a forgettable cul-de-sac. He’d moved there with Sandy, as soon as he got the email confirming that he’d ‘read Hamlet’. It hadn’t lasted. They’d broken up less than a year after they’d bought the house. She’d accused him of cheating on her, and he hadn’t denied it. He hadn’t cheated on her, of course, but it had given him a very convenient way of avoiding having a conversation he’d been putting off for several months prior. I’m still in love with the boy (man?) that broke my heart over a decade ago doesn’t roll off the tongue particularly well, nor is it all that believable. So they’d split. Richie had taken on sole tenancy of the small townhouse they rented, and Sandy had left him and moved back in with her parents in Bath, leaving him in Stratford-Upon-Avon on his own.
The road Richie lives on is small and unassuming, a perfectly pleasant and quiet area of a perfectly pleasant and quiet town. That’s why, when Richie was stumbling down the street pissed out of his mind at 3am after trying (and failing) to drink Ben under the table, and singing (or howling) along to Prowlin’ from Grease 2, a large number of people peered around their curtains and glared at him. He paid them no mind. He fumbled with his keys, dropping them six times, before his uncooperative fingers finally managed to shove the key into the lock and turn it. The stuffy, gaping black maw of his hallway stared back at him. Scoffing, and swearing at everything and anything, Richie managed to turn on all the lights in his living room and kitchen, and flop onto the sofa, without breaking anything – limbs and extremities included.
Richie smacked his lips. His mouth tasted like someone had been using his tongue as an ash tray for the last four hours, before telling him to gargle with white spirit. In short, it tasted like ass. Not that Richie remembered what ass tasted like. It had been far too long. His laptop sat, screen open and inviting, sat on the coffee table. Richie tugged it towards him, before lifting it over to his lap by the screen. He almost missed Sandy shrieking ‘if you lift it like that, the screen will come off in your hands and you’ll be fucked’. Almost.
The machine booted up, whirs and purrs breaking the silence. Richie’s fingers worked on autopilot, his alcohol-hazed brain taking several seconds to catch up.
Google: Edsss kaspbrK
Did you mean: Eds Kaspbrak?
Did you mean: Edward Kaspbrak?
Yes. Yes he did mean Edward Kaspbrak. Richie supposed he wasn’t allowed to call Eddie Eds anymore.
Edward Kaspbrak, 486,972 results in 0.0003 seconds
Richie’s eyes lazily scanned the first few lines of results. The first page was Eddie’s staff page on the RSC website. The second was Eddie’s twitter. The third was an article from the Edinburgh College of Dramatic Arts student newspaper. Richie clicked on it.
“The ECDA is super stoked to announce that the opening night of the student production of the Phantom of the Opera, directed by our very own Eddie K, …. Blah blah blah blah Eddie blah blah blah successful blah blah blah” Richie mumbled out loud to himself, heart tightening in his chest.
Backspacing out of the page, Richie clicked on the next article. This one was from four years ago, and was a review of a production of King Lear that Eddie had directed. Richie skimmed the article, before clicking on the embedded video interview at the bottom of the page. Eddie’s face fills the screen. He looks younger than the Eddie Richie had seen earlier that day. His face is smoother, and his mouth isn’t set in a harsh line. His eyes are soft. He looks happy. Richie feels sick.
“So,” the interviewer begins, “Tell me about this production. Your Lear is particularly arrogant and unlikable, and unlike other productions that I’ve seen, I actually don’t feel like your Lear had any redeeming features at all. He’s just … consistently unlikable. That’s a pretty bold move for someone’s debut RSC directorial job, right?”
Thank you so much for having me”
Eddie leaves the frame, and Richie doesn’t listen to the interviewers cursory wrap up. His ears are ringing too loudly.
Richie backspaces, before blindly clicking on one last link. It takes him to the announcement of Eddie’s appointment as Artistic Director in the newsletter of the Royal Shakespeare Company. Richie can feel bile swelling in his throat.
The Royal Shakespeare Company is privileged and pleased to announce that  Edward Frank Kaspbrak has accepted the position of Artistic Director. Edward replaces Claire Van de Camp, who wishes her successor success. Edward joins us at a particularly exciting time, and his first production will the semi-centenary celebration of the Royal Shakespeare Company, a milestone marked with a production of Hamlet. We wish Edward a long and happy tenure with us, and we all look forward to working with him for years to come
A few words from Edward himself: “I’m delighted to join the RSC as Artistic Director to celebrate the momentous semi-centenary anniversary of the company. I am a man of few words, so I’ll leave you with the words of a wordsmith more skilled than I. And so, all yours. I am all yours, RSC, and I will serve you as long as you’ll have me.”
The last words force the bile that had been bubbling in Richie’s throat to surge up his oesophagus. He scrambles to his feet, laptop falling gracelessly to the floor, and scrambles to his bedroom. He pulls an inconspicuous wooden box from under the bed, upending it so white envelopes come tumbling out. He spreads them all out on the carpet, before he grabs the one marked 15th April 2019. He opens the envelope. Two pieces of paper fall out, and he stuffs one back in without looking at it. He unfolds the other piece of paper.
15th April 2019
And so, all yours
E
The paper is fragile – It had been recklessly torn in half, before it has been painstakingly sellotaped back together. Richie couldn’t count how many times he’d stared at those four words.
– X –
When Richie had first started receiving the letters from Eddie, he had become almost incensed with anger. He’d vented to Stan, ugly, venomous ranting.
“I fucking hate him, Stan”
“No you don’t”
“Yes I fucking do. He abandons me to chase some stupid fucking selfish dream in Scotland, and then has the audacity – the fucking NERVE – to write to me, to plead with me to forgive him?”
“That’s not what the letter says, Richie”
“Wow. Fucking Wow. I thought you were supposed to be on my side? You know, your best friends side?”
“You haven’t spoken to me for three months, Rich. I thought you forgot who I was”
“You’re being fucking ridiculous”
“Richard? Can I have a word, s’il vous plaît?"
“Uh, sure, Jacques”
Stan disappeared down the corridor, without so much as glancing over his shoulder. Jacques was stood behind Richie, holding the door to his office open with a gracious arm. Richie walked inside.
“What’s all this ruckus, Richard?”
“Nothing, Jacques. Just – just personal stuff, s’all.”
“Are you arguing with master Stanley about Edward?”
Richie felt himself stiffen.
“How did you know?”
Jacques sits back on his chair, and folds his arms across his chest. His scarf flutters slightly in the breeze coming from the oscillating fan on his desk.
“Did you know that I told Edward to apply for the Edinburgh school?”
“No.”
“Did you know that I convinced him to go when he was reticent to leave you?”
“No.”
“Well, I did. Send some of that rage my way, if you must, but please do leave master Stanley out of it, he really isn’t at fault here”
“He’s been writing to me. I want to burn them.” Richie blurts out, without really meaning to.
“Spoken like a true dramatist”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“I mean, you’re being melodramatic”
“With all due respect, Jacques, you have no idea what you’re talking about” Richie snaps, in a tone that he’d probably regret later when he’s being disciplined for being mouthy to a member of staff.
“Perhaps. But perhaps you also have no idea what you’re talking about”
“Now you’re just not making sense”
“You’re nineteen, Richard. Things have a way of working out. Don’t burn the letters. Don’t send your memories of him up in flames. You’ll regret it.”
“Can I go now?”
“But of course”
As soon as he wakes up, Richie decides that he’s not going to rehearsal. This is partly because he’s hungover, but the hangover was nothing worse than he’d ever experienced after getting pissed after the opening night of every other production he’s ever done. It was mostly because he couldn’t bear to look at Eddie’s face. Or, perhaps more accurately, he couldn’t take nearly twelve hours of Eddie refusing to look at him with anything other than scorn. Not today.
He contemplates ringing to tell Eddie that he’s ill, but he doesn’t have Eddie’s number. He thumbs over the ‘Eds <3’ contact in his phone. Eddie’s old number, of course. Richie had a new number, too, in fact, he’d had several new numbers in the fifteen years since he’d last text Eddie. He had, however, copied the ‘Eds <3’ contact into every new phone he’d has since 2019. He assumed that Eddie had probably also had several new numbers since they’d last talked, but that didn’t deter him.
Now, though, the sight of ‘Eds <3’ in his phone turns his stomach more than the whiskey in the tumbler on his nightstand does.
He decides not to ring anyone.
Instead, he clicks on the YouTube app, and types in ‘Edward II’.
He watches other people say the lines that he’d whispered to Eddie until he falls asleep, tear tracks marking his cheeks.
Richie wakes up several hours later. His phone is buzzing furiously on his bedside table like an angry hornet. When he picks it up, the screen reads ‘Unknown Number’. He throws the phone on the floor.
The buzzing stops, but almost immediately starts up again.
He doesn’t answer.
The unknown number calls back again.
He doesn’t pick up.
His phone buzzes again, but this time its three short buzzes.
A Text.
He grabs his phone off the stained carpet.
From: Unknown Number:
Where the fuck are you?
From: Unknown Number:
Today was a fucking disaster. Where are you?
From: Unknown Number:
How dare you make me worry about you.
Richie stares at the last text, shrouded in the dark comfort of his room, for what feels like hours.

I’ve never asked this but, how come you don’t enjoy Ultimate Spider-Man? Personally I thought it was Bendis at his best.
It’s a few things.
I do not like how people treat it as interchangeable with616 continuity or pretend what applies to one applies to the other. Like peoplewere pointing to the Kitty Pryde annual as a good example of what you could doif Spider-Man wasn’t married, ignoring how 616 and Ult Peter are not the samebecause they’ve been through different experiences but also diverge in certainpersonality traits too, or at least the emphasis upon them. 616 Peter has moreserious guilt attacks and feels anxiety more acutely than Ultimate Peter, buthis humour is also subtly different.
Frankly Bendis’Spider-Man humour dialogue had nothing on the best of the 616 writersespecially Stan. This applies even more to other characters. Ultimate Mary Janeis a fine and dandy character unto herself but her backstory and personality isseriously different as is the way she and Peter connect to one another, even ifthe end result of her role is similar. Norman and Venom and Doc Ock similar areat best riffing upon aspects of their 616 selves and are frankly nowhere nearas meaty.
For all the praise Bendis got for ‘fixing’ Eddie Brock andVenom by not making him an alien, setting him up before he goes evil and givinghim a different motivation to hate Peter, when he actually BECOMES Venom he’sjust a gnarling growling monster for the most part whereas 616 Venom if nothingelse had  a personality. I could go on all day aboutthe changes Bendis made and how it made the characters lesser than what theywere before.
And you could sit there and say that hey it’s an AU so whyis that a problem.
Well the problem is it was never intended as an AU whereshit is different for the sake of it in the first place.
It was intended as a modern retelling of the Spider-Manmythology using the benefit of hindsight and filtering everything through thelens of him being in high school.
But almost immediately it began changing stuff for the sakeof changing stuff thus invalidating that point.
More frustrating though is that fans and Marvel treat the seriesas though it actually was the former as opposed to just being basically Bendis’personal AU spin on everything and talked it up as these amazing Spider-Manstories when they were literally just remakes of the older stuff.
If you want to see a modern retelling of the Spider-Manmythology using the benefit of hindsight and filtering everything through thelens of him being in high school the Spec cartoon is an example of that andwhilst it took cues from Ultimate fundamentally that was Lee/Ditko justupdated.
But my two biggest gripes come from Bendis messing withimportant foundational stuff to Spider-Man like making Nick Fury a huge dealand making Richard Parker a really important aspect of the series.
Peter’s parents being spies is dumb, no lie. But it can kindof work on account of them being dead, him not remembering them, them beingessentially irrelevant to him and them not being his parents in the importantsense of raising him anyway.
Uncle Ben is Peter’s Dad end of story.
In Ultimate though Bendis made Nick Fury a super spy head ofthis super spy organization an important character who can have a major shapingimpact upon Spider-Man’s life and arguably is a dark father figure. He also inthe Venom arc, Carnage arc, the Clone Saga and a few other places hyped upRichard’s (but noticeably not Mary’s) importance. Ultimate Peter is aSpider-Man who’s defined in an important way by the legacy of his biologicalfather, not Uncle Ben. To the point where Richard was the guy who originallysaid gr8 pwr=gr8 resp and Uncle Ben just passes it on to Peter.
That is...no. You do NOT do that *glares at Webb movies*.
Spider-Man is defined by Uncle Ben first and foremost andshould be relatively down to Earth and normal, so spies or super spies shouldn’tfactor in in a huge way at all.
But Bendis didn’t do that and then he’s called the bestSpider-Man writer of the 21st century and USM the best Spider-Manseries of the 21st century. He didn’t do any of that whilst alsocreating less developed and nuanced versions of all the other characters.
I mean my God how can your take on Spider-Man be definitivewhen Jameson is barely in it and Bendis’ self-insert OC Kenny Kong gets morepanel time than Flash Thompson, the character who is literally on the firstpage of Amazing Fantasy #15.
He even went a step further and made Aunt May Peter’sbiological aunt because IIRC she was Mary’s sister, which is both overly neatimo and more poignantly takes away from the positive family message of theoriginal story. That blood doesn’t make family because 616 Aunt May had 0 bloodties to Peter but she adored him as her  son.
And then on top of all of that the decompression.
I.Effing. HATE. Decompression.
I loathe it. I despise it. I would kill it if I could.
Decompression was talked up as being this thing that had tohappen because comics were more cinematic but the truth is they weren’t, BENDISHIMSELF was the person who made them more cinematic because of the impact he hadand no one seemed to sit back and ask if it was even a good idea.
Decompression stories allegedly allow the stories more roomto breath and flow organically whilst also allowing writers to go deeper.
But in practice in USM and the majority of 2000s-2010s booksusing decompression aren’t like that.
They just take what would’ve been 1-2 issues worth of plotin the 1990s or 1980s and artificially stretch it out to pad for a trade.Basically a trade is the equivalent of what an issue or 2 of a 1980s comicwould’ve been.
Meaning you are spending more money for less content perissue or way more money for essentially the same content (not helped in USM’scase by it being mostly remixes of the old stuff anyway).
It’s not even more layered or nuanced or has deeper themesand stuff, it doesn’t even use the extra space for more action. Kraven’s LastHunt does all that but more stuff actually happens in that story than youraverage arc of USM or most 21st century decompressed arcs.
Issue to issue it actually destroys the flow of a storybecause whilst a 1980s multi parter would’ve had it’s own beginning middle andend per issue, that isn’t the case for USM and similar such decompressedstories.
If a decompressed arc was a 2 hour movie then issue 1 of 6would basically be giving you the first 20 minutes of a movie and asking you toremember it for 2-4 weeks until the next 20 minutes and on and on for the restof the arc. That is a horrible way to experience a story but that’s the point, because it wasn’t written to be consumed that way, it was written for you tobuy the trade i.e. the complete movie and consume the whole story in one hit.
Plus I heavily suspect decompression was employed as a wayfor the companies to justify doing less work per year. If every story is 6 partsthen a monthly series only needs to come up with 2 stories per year not at most12.
Like compare and contrast just how much characterdevelopment and raw plot occurs between USM #1-100 and say the first 100 issuesof Claremont’s X-Men. Or Spider-Girl #1-100. The differences are truly stark.
The ultimate (no pun intended) proof in the pudding for meis Bendis’ Daredevil run vs Frank Miller’s.
Bendis DD run is acclaimed, beloved considered one of thebest runs for the character ever. Miller’s run however despite being farshorter and not employing decompression is still regarded as THE  best, with plots from it forming the basis ofevery Daredevil adaptation since then, including the Netflix show. So Bendisusing decompression and having much more time and issues to work his magicstill wound up doing something not AS good not AS nuanced or fleshed out asMiller did with a different style and less time and issues.
How can that be possible if decompression allowes you to doall this stuff? Because decompression sucks shit is how and because in comicsits less about the space you have but how you use it.

Illustrated Mafia Au, wrote a little bit in Spanish but do use translation if you don't understand and picture done by @clownsuu

Wally smiled softly while twirling in his hands a apple whiskey, Howdy was cleaning the counter and looking down, minding his business. Both man were thinking, albeit different persons, on a guy; Wally was thinking of M/n’s enchanting eyes while Howdy was thinking on the kind yet shy smile that Gepeto gifted him. Our boys be simping
“So, Gepeto and you?,” asked Wally smirking before taking a sip at his apple whiskey. Wally almost laughed at how it seemed that Howdy short circuited at his simple question, Howdy only shared his head in a no while one of his hands covered his blue dusted cheeks. Wally’s attention span on Howdy lasted a couple of minutes but soon his smiled grew when he heard his phone ring, it was exactly nine o’clock and that meant M/n’s gang, Hidden Pictures, was ready to start their attack on San Stars.
“Hola hermoso, are you ready to conquer a gang?,” asked M/n’s insanely sweet voice making Wally blush softly. M/n smiled on the other side of the hand listening the soft crack Wally had on his voice when he answered with a simple yes.
“Mhmm, que lindura… We are going to meet at, como se llama esa calle pelotudo?, Boulevard Broken across the street of Dreams… si la conoces?,” said M/n and Wally blushed at his use of Spanish.
“Yes, I know where that is… We’ll be there in a few,” said Wally hearing how M/n chuckled before saying a “See you here preciosura” to hang up. Wally sighted dreamily and looked at Howdy who started telling everyone to grab their favorites weapons since they are going out.
Everyone grabbed their weapons; Wally took his mere presence, Howdy took his ice pick, Barnaby took his biggest guns, Julie took her tranquilizer sniper gun, Sally took a rocket launcher against everyone’s demise, Eddie took a simple revolver to be able to protect Frank because Poppy was simply going as medical stand by and Frank was going to help her through any panic attacks.
When they arrived at the meetup Wally smiled at seeing M/n with a long black trench coat were in the back had a picture with roses crossed over with red in the back and on the sleeves, he had some beautiful red high heels just go with it and a beautiful apple red silk shirt that was accompanied with a white corset.
“God, he is fucking beautiful…”

Blue moon You saw me standing alone Without a dream in my heart Without a love of my own
Eddie--Nor Richie-- didn’t intend for anything to happen that summer leading up to now. It wasn’t like Eddie wanted to visit Derry in the first place, but the constant “Eddie Bear you need to visit!” and “Your aunties miss you!” from his aunts irritated him to the point where he booked the flights to Derry himself. After a long and extremely worded lecture (and a lot of yelling) from Sonia Kaspbrak, both of them set off on a summer that would change everything.
Now don’t get Eddie wrong, he loved his aunts to death (and would much rather live with them than that momster), but he couldn’t take an entire summer of endless cheek pinches and sloppy kisses on the cheek. He knew he had to make the most of his time so he may as well explore the town--Not that there’s was much to explore anyway.
It wasn’t until he found himself walking through a forest that lead him to a quarry. He found himself not staring at the summer day in front of him, not the way water sparkled nor the way the soft summer breeze blew every now and then. No, he found himself staring the boy in front of him. He didn’t understand why, he only knew what the back of the boy looked liked. For all Eddie could know, this boy could be a serial killer. Maybe he was surprised that someone was here, someone was in this dead beat town.
After an awkward greeting--well mainly awkward for Eddie, Richie didn’t seem to ever stop talking once he uttered a noise--Eddie found himself falling easily for a boy he’d only known for what? An hour? Or could it have been six? Richie truly didn’t know when to stop talking, but Eddie loved it.
It was a shock to Eddie that Richie had a loud personality. He’s never one to judge so quickly but Eddie found the boy sitting by himself, listening to Africa by Toto, while smoking. He seemed like a loner.
“Says Eds, tell me something,” Richie spoke slightly lowering the radio.
“Yeah?” Eddie looked up, “Also, stop calling me Eds,” He quickly added.
“Cute! Cute! Cute!” Richie leaned over and pinched his cheeks, “Ever been in love?”
Eddie practically choked on air but it did get him thinking, has he ever been in love? Sure he’s had a couple of boys here and there, some relationships lasting longer than others, but he’s never actually been in love. Maybe some feelings towards his previous boyfriends had been stronger than others but nothing to ever consider being in love. Love was almost foreign to him.
“No,” Eddie broke the silence but continued, “My turn to ask you a question!”
“Hit me with it spageds,” Richie chuckled, taking a puff from his cigarette.
“Spageds? That’s the best you can do?”
“It’s a work in progress.”
Eddie took a deep breath but bit back a smile anyways, “As someone who’s only been visiting for two days, do you ever think about leaving this town? I mean, there’s nothing here.” Eddie looked around the quarry.
“No.” Richie simply replied.
“No?”
“I’ve never thought about it. Not until now anyways,” Eddie patiently waited for Richie to continue, “I’ve never thought about it because I didn’t need to. I’ve never had anything to run towards but now, today in this very moment, I know where I need to run to,”
“Where?”
“You.”
Blue moon You knew just what I was there for You heard me saying a prayer for Someone I really could care for
It was finally the day of the dance. Most high schools would get into the spirit, hanging posters and the constant PA reminders that ticket sales go up every week. However, Derry high had been nominated by a TV station to host a dance competition during the event. Eddie didn’t pay much attention to the eagerness from everyone at school, it was something about the two winners getting a pretty big money prize. But in all honesty, Eddie could care less. He was more worried about being outed to the entire school--and on national television to make matters worse.
Eddie was not--and will never--be ashamed for being gay. Richie neither will ever be ashamed to be bisexual but living in a conservative town where almost everyone will absolutely shit on you for being anything less than straight can be alarming--to say the least.
As much as both boys wanted to hold onto each other and dance together just like every other straight couple, it just wasn’t possible.
Both boys walked into the gym, their entire ensemble of the Pink Ladies and T-Birds following right behind them.
“Says Eds, how about I get us some punch?” Richie awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck.
“As long as you don’t spike it Tozier,”
Richie smirked, “Can’t make any promises my love!” He walked away with a wink, giving Eddie the familiar feeling of butterflies in his tummy.
“Everything all right Bev?” Ben asked. Bev sticked out like a sore thumb, a hair wrap was around her head. Whatever she was trying to hide, wasn’t subtle at all.
“Peachy Benjamin,”
“Bev?” Eddie slowly asked.
“Eddie I’m fine! Everything is alright!” Bev tried to reassure the boys but failed. Bev ended up stomping away to the bathroom with a poor Ben following behind in her in hopes to cheer her up.
Eddie went ahead and found a table large enough to hold the nine leaving the remaining four at the entrance of the dance.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t sunshine and rainbows for the rest of the group.
While Audra and Mike were a happy couple, that still didn’t stop them from being racially discriminated against. It took Mike ages to convince his parents to let him go to public school once homeschooling for middle school ended. He didn’t realize exactly why his parents didn’t want him going to public school once he experienced how cruel kids can be. Being in the T-Birds gave him a place, but he still felt he could be much more than this.
Audra was Mexican (A/N: There’s not enough latinx representation nowadays so I’m making Audra Mexican-American. Also ya girl is Mexican so this is me trying to live through my stories.), both of her parents were immigrants, but Audra herself was born in America but being the daughter of the only two Mexicans living in an almost-all white conservative town was more than difficult.
Being something other than white or straight instantly made you a bad person. No one could look past your skin color or your sexuality, they define you because of that. They don’t define you because of who you are.
While Audra and Mike got nasty and dirty looks from practically the entire gym, they pushed it to aside and let themselves be together.
This wasn’t the case for Stan and Bill.
While most of the school suspected Stan liked boys, they couldn’t think the same for Bill. It was one thing to suspect but to completely out someone is another thing.
Stan was the rabbi’s son, he had to live up to expectations. If his father even heard a word about Stan being gay, it was over.
Bill was close with his parents, but he still hasn’t come out to them--thinking of the idea scares him. His little brother Georgie on the other hand, he knew. When Georgie was nine, he found a fourteen year old Bill crying in the middle of the night. After a long talk and explanation of what being pansexual meant, Georgie was quick to accept him. Now being twelve, Georgie still loved his older brother with everything inside of him.
Despite the rabbi’s son, Stan himself was never religious. Sure, he attended every ceremony at the temple and even read from the torah at his bar mitzfah, but he was required to do that. Stan wasn’t religious, but if there was just one thing he could pray for, he would pray for Bill. He would pray to find happiness with Bill.
From the corner of his eye, he could see Henry and his gang smirking at them. Bill seemed to notice this because he quickly made his way over to the table.
If a prayer truly worked, Stan was praying for a miracle.
And then there suddenly appeared before me The only one my arms will hold I heard somebody whisper please adore me And when I looked to the moon it turned to gold
The TV crew had been setting up for the big competition, people lining up at the restrooms to fix themselves up while others began to make their way towards the dance floor.
“Hey Eds! We should join!” Richie suggested.
“Sure if you want the entire country to find out we like dick,” Eddie remarked then continued, “And stop calling me Eds!”
“Aw yeah! Spaghetti man with the dick jokes!”
“Beep beep Tozier.”
“Hey! Hey!” Richie put his hands up in defense, “You’re technically not wrong but that’s not the point. We don’t need to get up in each others ass to win the competition--I’ve already got your mom for that--the teachers will be on us if we even try. It’s disco isn’t it? We don’t need to do anything couply we just need to do something entertaining.”
“I hate the fact that you actually have a brain in that head of yours.” Eddie sighed while Richie smiled.
“What should-”
“Richie!” A voice squeaked from behind.
Richie whipped around and saw his ex girlfriend heading towards him, her arm locked around the one and only Henry Bowers.
“Greta, hi.” Richie clenched his teeth together and took a deep breath.
“Who’s this?” Eddie whispered from behind Richie.
“Hi hun, I’m Greta,” She stuck her hand out in front of Eddie the continued, “I’m sure Richie has told you how great I am in bed?” She sneered.
“He would have told me if you really were,” Eddie muttered under his breath. Both Greta and Richie heard this, Greta bit back the urge to launch herself at Eddie while Richie tried to subtly hide his laugh with a cough.
“See you in the competition Richie-kins!” She blew a kiss towards his direction and dragged Henry away.
“Richie-kins?”
“Let’s not talk about it.”
“Ladies and gentlemen! Gather around! Our annual high school dance off is about to begin!”
Everyone gathered with their respective pair and waited until the principle stopped talking about the rules.
The principle finally walked off stage and the music began. Some couples were immediately eliminated while others tried to out-dance other couples. Some couples went for a simple attempt at the disco while others went for hand-jives.
The cameras were going around the dance floor, people tried to make their selves seen but were removed from the floor. Eddie could feel himself getting more and more nervous as the camera got closer. Richie didn’t seem to care, he was in his element. As the camera reached the two boys, Eddie instantly made a B-line for anywhere but the camera.
Richie’s face dropped, he tried to follow Eddie but was stopped when someone pushed him back. This ‘someone’ happened to be Greta herself.
“Where you doing handsome?” Greta whispered.
The pair were one of the only few standing left and it didn’t help that the host was encouraging them to dance while pointing the camera at them. Richie had no other choice but to finish the competition with a new partner. He seemed to forget about Eddie in that moment, but Eddie most certainly didn’t forget. He saw the whole ordeal go down.
Eddie ran out of the high school gym and ran all the way straight home.

iKonic Fairy Tales: Snow White
A modern fairy tale series in collaboration with @cramelot - stay tuned next week for the next story featuring a new member! ✨
Genre: College/Neighbor!AU
Pairing: Donghyuk x You
By Admin B
🍎Part 1, 2, 3, 4
Tumblr media
Once upon a time, a few years ago, right at the beginning of your freshman year of college, you had been in desperate need of a job.
Your parents had both tragically passed in an accident within the past year, and while they did leave you with somewhat of a comfortable sum of inheritance, you had to use most of it to pay off their debts as well as your school tuition.
So for the first few weeks of the semester, you searched the newspapers, you searched CraigsList, you walked around looking for ‘Now Hiring’ signs. But no luck.
Finally, a girl you sat next to in your History of Music class mentioned she was a nanny but couldn’t keep working because she needed to take extra classes and wouldn’t have time.
You immediately jumped on the chance, and she gave you the family’s contact number (though she was strangely hesitant, but you decided not to worry too much about that).
Fast forward to a couple of weeks later, and you were officially able to call yourself a nanny for five children.
Now fast forward to the present, and those five children had turned into seven.
Yes, seven children.
You liked to think of yourself as a modern-day Maria Von Trapp.
So, let’s introduce the little ones, shall we?
First, we have the oldest, and the smartest, Roy. He was, naturally, the leader of the bunch and liked to give orders to his younger siblings.
Second, we have Piper, one half of the first pair of twins. Maybe it was because she was so close to being the oldest but wasn’t and she was bitter about that, but for some reason, this girl was always in a pretty foul mood. There was a perpetual pout on her lips and a constant furrow on her brow.
Third, we have the other twin and Piper’s exact opposite, Otis. You had never seen this kid in a bad mood; he was always smiling and laughing and cracking jokes and looking on the bright side. Piper hated him, of course, so you always made sure to keep those two separate.
Fourth, we have Penelope. You... kind of weren’t sure what Penelope’s personality was like because she always seemed to be sleeping. Or wanting to go to sleep. You were forever having to hang her homework up to dry because she would drool on her paper.
Fifth, we have Eddie. He was probably your favorite (if you had to pick) because, while he wasn’t the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree, he was incredibly sweet and very attached to you.
Sixth, we have one-half of the other pair of twins, Scotty. You were thankful you had already been around when he was born because, if he’d had to meet you when you started as the other kids had, you probably never would’ve gotten to know him. You’d never met somebody so shy and quiet, but you also had never met somebody so caring and kind.
Last but not least, we have Scotty’s twin, Billy. Ever since Billy was a baby, he suffered from severe allergies. The poor kid was always sneezing, and no amount of Benadryl or Claritin seemed to help. You had learned to always have a large box of tissues on hand whenever you were at their house.
It would be remiss of me not to mention the children's’ parents, of course, for they were your bosses. The father was somewhat -- kind of -- out of the picture because his line of work called for almost constant travel.
Why they decided to have seven kids when the father was basically always gone, you would never understand.
But, anyway.
The mother was around, though, and while she was very polite and one of the most elegant and graceful women you’d ever met, she...
Well, to be quite frank, she wasn’t the most nurturing of mothers.
She was fairly strict with her children, and she could sometimes get snippy with you if she felt you weren’t living up to her standards as a nanny. In fact, you and the kids called her The Queen when she wasn’t around. (Piper even called her The Evil Queen sometimes, but you always hushed her instantly.)
But she paid you quite well, and you’d come to dearly love all seven children, so you never even thought about leaving.
Suffice it to say, The Queen and her husband made more than enough money for a family of nine, and they lived in an incredibly large, incredibly nice house in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the city. You always felt kind of weird getting there by bus, but you couldn’t afford (or even really needed) a car. Plus, at least three of the kids would always run down the driveway to greet you as you walked up. It filled your heart right up, even if you’d had a bad day at school.
Since you and the kids hardly ever ventured out of the house (except for some playtime out in the backyard every once in a while), you had never met any of their neighbors. You’d barely even seen any, in fact; it seemed rich people were either never at home or never left the house.
This afternoon, though, as you were strolling down the street toward your place of work, you noticed a moving van in front of the house next door.
It was still a wonder to you how anyone could afford such a huge house, but that didn’t stop you from being nosy. You glanced over as you approached The Queen’s house, your eyes widening as you watched the movers carrying in the most beautiful, most expensive-looking furniture you’d ever seen.
Wow. Were these people even more loaded than The Queen?
All of a sudden, a high-pitched voice calling out your name interrupted your thoughts.
“Eddie!” you greeted, your lips pulling into a huge smile when you saw his sweet face. No matter what, Eddie was always one in the group coming out to greet you.
Eddie ran up to you, flinging his arms around your middle and squeezing you in greeting.
“We have new neighbors,” Otis pointed out as he skipped down the driveway toward you. Piper was following behind him, her arms crossed tightly over her chest and practically stomping her feet.
“I can see that,” you replied, reaching out to ruffle his hair. “Have you met them yet?”
“Well, only the son,” he told you. “But he’s a lot older. He said he’s in college, so he’s probably old like you.”
“Oh?” A rich guy about your age? Okay, you couldn’t stop yourself from being just a little bit jealous. You would give anything to be able to live with your parents and not have to worry about paying for college.
“He was super nice!” Eddie told you with a somewhat dopey grin. “His name is...”
“Donghyuk, you dodo,” Piper spat.
“Piper,” you warned, giving her a look which clearly said she shouldn’t be calling her brother that.
“Right! Donghyuk,” Eddie nodded. He was still hanging onto you, making it a bit difficult for you to walk down the driveway, but you could manage. “He said we can go over and play with his pinball machine any time. And the bowling alley!”
What?! A house which had a pinball machine and a bowling alley?! You almost couldn’t comprehend it.
“He does seem nice,” you replied as you rubbed Eddie’s back. “You’ll have to ask your mom about going over there, though.”
“Oh, great,” Piper muttered with a roll of her eyes. “We’re never going.”
“Come on, guys,” you chuckled as you all approached the walkway to the front door. “Let’s get inside and start on your homework.”
You greeted the other four children once you walked in and hung up your jacket, and they also proceeded to tell you about their new neighbors. All of them, even Scotty who barely spoke, were basically gushing about how nice and cool (and cute, according to Penelope) this Donghyuk was.
It made you very curious to meet him, to be honest.
Tumblr media
But not even half an hour after you’d arrived, and thoughts of the new neighbor had already floated from your head.
I mean... you were watching seven kids, after all. Your focus tended to be on them and making sure nobody got injured in some way.
When the clock finally struck 7, and you saw the headlights of The Queen’s car coming down the road, you scrambled to get all the kids looking neat and put together; she did a daily inspection when she got home from work, and you’d learned quickly to make sure none of the kids had even a hair out of place.
“All right, friends,” you said with a clap. “Time to line up, your mother is pulling into the driveway. Eddie, come here, your hair is a mess.”
You licked your palm and smoothed the wild strands down, your brow furrowing. And then your heart skipped a beat when you heard the key in the front door.
You quickly pressed your index finger to your lips before clasping your hands in front of you and turning to face where The Queen would be in just a few seconds.
“I’m home,” she called out, sounding far more serious than any mother arriving home you’d ever heard.
“Good evening,” you greeted her, a smile plastered on your lips. “Homework is all done, dinner is prepared, and the children are ready for inspection.”
Honestly, you were so used to this little routine by now, you didn’t even think about the fact that it was really, really weird The Queen had her kids line up for an inspection.
Like... really weird.
“Good evening,” The Queen replied, returning your grin with a tight-lipped one of her own. Her heels clacked as she sauntered down the hall, arriving in front of Roy. She patted his cheek before moving on to Piper then Otis, Penelope, Eddie, Scotty, and finally, Billy.
“I assume there was no trouble with your teacher?”
The kids were homeschooled, taught by the most sought-after, exclusive, expensive private tutor in practically the whole country.
“No, ma’am,” all seven kids replied in unison.
“Good,” The Queen nodded. She then turned to you, nodding once to signal your release for the evening.
You quickly snuck a wave to the kids before tiptoeing down the hall, grabbing your jacket, and slipping out the front door.
You let out a soft sigh, breathing in the cool, fresh air and beginning your walk down the driveway. The bus stop was down by the entrance to the neighborhood, and on nights like tonight, you were glad for the walk. It gave you time to think and remember everything you had to be grateful for.
But just as you passed the family’s mailbox, you heard a voice.
“Hey,” it said.
You jumped a little, your heart suddenly pounding in your chest at the surprise.
“Sorry!”
You turned to see who the voice belonged to, your eyes landing on a very nice and sweet-looking guy.
Tumblr media
He could only be Donghyuk, the new neighbor the kids had been telling you about earlier.
“Hi,” you replied with a polite smile. “It’s okay, you just startled me.”
“I’m Donghyuk,” he told you, holding his hand out toward you. You shook it and introduced yourself back.
“Actually, the kids told me about you,” you revealed with a bit of a smirk.
“Oh? Are you --”
“I’m their nanny,” you explained. You’d interrupted him before he could ask if you were their sister; you didn’t want to make him feel awkward by telling him you were, in fact, far too poor to ever live in a place like this.
“Oh, wow,” Donghyuk chuckled, looking rather impressed. “That’s a lot of kids.”
“It is,” you agreed with a little nod. “But they’re good apples.”
It seemed Donghyuk had a sudden thought because his brow furrowed, and he began looking around for something.
“Are you... how do you get home?”
“Oh, I take the bus,” you told him, gesturing over your shoulder in the general direction of the bus stop.
He immediately looked a bit wary, and you couldn’t help but think he was just too adorable.
Tumblr media
“It’s getting dark... are you sure you feel safe out here on your own?”
“Yes, I’ve done it plenty of times,” you assured him with a slight smirk.
“I can give you a lift if you’d like.”
“I appreciate the thought, but I don’t make it a habit to accept rides from strangers.”
Donghyuk nodded, his worried expression morphing into an impressed one. “You’re smart. I totally understand.”
You nodded in agreement before letting out a little sigh and lifting your shoulders into a shrug. “I... should probably get going. My bus comes in, like, five minutes.”
“Oh! Right, sorry,” Donghyuk said with a bashful chuckle.
“It was nice to meet you, though,” you said, eyebrows raised.
“Nice to meet you, too.”
And then his shy smile turned into a full-blown one, and wow.
Tumblr media
He was quite possibly the cutest guy you’d ever seen.
“See ya around,” he said as you slowly turned on your heel to leave.
Yeah. You sure hoped he did.
