I think the age I was most obsessed with reading was all the way back when I was like ten. I had piles of books around my bed and my mom literally got mad at me because I'd start books and never finish them lol

Baby ten-year-old Isaac would LOVE it. so much. I know it in my soul. I liked books where the Violence happened (??? little me was weird) but only like hunger games level. The first book I ever read involved a decapitation. so. anyways no I would not let kid me read it. Kid me would WANT to read it because it's totally something I would've absolutely devoured but I was also a baby about swearing. I thought curse words were the worst thing in the world. I didn't say something sucked until I was actually eleven years old. I grounded myself for a week because I came downstairs while south park was on because I heard the word crap. So baby me would've been APPALLED at the amount of swears. HORRIFIED. look at me now

#i'd also not let kid me read it just because I worry it might be too violent #im not sure. i had a whole chapter about chopping someones head right off. like twice #idk if that's appropriate for 10 year olds but little me liked when people died in books #sorta related but I think little me would try and show me the stuff I used to write #SPECIFICALLY that story of the ugly duckling but it's a flamingo who used chalk to blend in with the swans after a tornado took it to NYC #i was so proud of that because my teachers all told me i was like. a writing prodigy or smth #which went straight to my head of course #most of what I write is What Would I Have Read in Fifth Grade #unironically i took notes on frida khalo while i was reading her who was book instead of homework #isaac says things related to his writing again #wip: forget me not #thanks for the ask!!!!!#this one was really interesting lol

WK Elemental AU

(because I don't have enough AUs already...) Let me introduce you to something thats been rolling around in my brain for a little while now... The Elemental AU!

Heavily inspired by Avatar the Last Airbender, the elemental AU takes place in a universe where some people are born with the ability to control a specific element. The main difference is instead of the 4 western elements of Earth, Fire, Water, and Air- it's the 5 Chinese elements of Earth, Fire, Water, Wood, and Metal. (Just bc it fit the crew better! and gives me some more room to world-build)

The basic plot remains close to Wild Kratts canon. They travel the world, saving animals from the villains (Who are also elementals!) except instead of relying on technology, or their creature powers, they use their elemental gifts.

I am planning on writing about this soon since Decoded is coming to an end in only a few weeks. But I figured I would go ahead and introduce it now since I've finished all of their refs!

That's Right #lackadaisy #WHICH i have been reading since at least '07 when i was thirteen my god b/c this animation is based on the ongoing webcomic #like does its influence show up Directly in some Discrete way i can point to in my art? not very easily probably. #detective conan #case closed #amv #my amvs #eye strain #heiji hattori #harley hartwell #conan edogawa #shinichi kudo #funimation english dub script #video #happy two-year anniversary to 'no thoughts just heiji hattori'!#while it's not my first amv (it's maybe my... fifth?)#it was the first one i made with davinci resolve and the amv that really got me into editing amvs for real #it's the amv that made me believe i could make amvs 🥺#and in remastering it i deeply understood how ambitious it was! i thought i did a lot of audio mixing for 'messed up'#but that's not even close to all the audio mixing i did here--cannot believe that i did all this for my first big amv project #it took about 20 hours *just* to remaster!#which is something i've been meaning to do for a while now so i'm very happy to finally share the results!#to make this a 'remaster' and not a 'redo' the only changes i tried to make were to the source footage and audio #video now uses almost entirely hd remastered footage from my blu-rays or netflix rather than my dvds #but oh gosh was it *hard* not to touch anything else! i'd do so many things differently now #but this video will always be really special to me (and i can't believe i did it at all tbh!)#i hope seeing it in hd is fun too! i'm so blown away by all the love this vid's gotten #and that it helped increase interest in funi's old english dub is amazing and 100% what i was trying to do with it!#thank you everyone for all the support <333 i wouldn't be the video editor i am today without this vid or your encouragement for it <3333 #like the original the sources used are mostly from what funi dubbed (but mixed in hd by me!): eps 48-49 57-58 77-78 117 and 118 and movie 3 #but i also used episodes 141-142 174 189 239 263 277 291 293 345 479 491 517 and 522 #and ova 3 and tv special 6 (episode one) and movies 10 and 13 and ops 27 31 and 33 and the funi 5.2 dvd blooper for the one line lol #the song is 'you're stupid aren't you' by toshio masuda (from jubei-chan 2)

#zeno's art #ocs #reassassination #octavia krankenstein #oh i got a LOT to say about this one #in the comic octavia starts wearing this outfit after a certain event i think n its very symbolic #it represents mainly how her personality has changed as well as her relationship with kranken and humanity as a whole #lets do it top to bottom. FIRSTLY the mask that replaces her goggles that she wore in the “summer” outfit #the mask represents several things. firstly that octavia's relationship with kranken improved #i think the mask itself is probably kranken's and octavia uses it. showing that they've become closer #and ALSO even using a mask to hide her identity while working is in line with kranken's ideas of clothing being practical rather than flashy #(see her first outfit was originally really frumpy and practical before she DIY'd it into the minidress type thing)#anyway. the hoodie is supposed to harken more to an executioner showing octavia is more used to her job #the hoodie has eyelets which are circles. the fact that there are way more circles in the design shows that she becomes less cold #and more assimilated into human society #the gloves however are a sign of her persistent rebellion as they're fingerless and impractical lol #the pants are based off of tripp nyc's design. which was popular with mallgoths in the 90s/00s #it shows octavia's own personality and interests and of course has two hidden sets of 6's through the eyelets #lastly her shoes resemble skulls. that one's just for fun #while her first outfit completely represented rebellion i like to think this one bridges the gap between rebellion and octavia settling down #and becoming more familiar with those around her #this is only the first pass so i'll prob incorporate more red into the outfit before it's finalised #octavia isn't the only one who changes either! i want like ~3 changes for almost everyone
