I always get a little confused whenever this fandom sees an interview and rushes to "this confirms ___________" or "this proves __________ isn't going to happen" as if these people with at the minimum basic PR training, if not years of experience doing interviews, are going to admit an endgame storyline in a random interview
#like that would be stupid and get them in so much trouble#also a lot of stuff said is from their personal opinion. they may have little to no influence on the writers/producers#they gonna tease and leave things ambiguous because it keeps people interested and talking and make them want to watch the next episode#especially as this story isnt close to being done yet#production happening so recently and there is at least one more season coming#not saying theyve never confirmed things before but with how intense current storylines are id take everything with a grain of salt#911#buddie#911 abc

The first character I first fell in love with: DATA. I have loved Data since the first time I tried to watch TNG, when I was 14. I latched onto him immediately and I have never once let go. such a compelling and fascinating character, I could write a thesis on him, probably fundamentally shifted my brain chemistry
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: I'd have to say Riker I think! Riker didnt interest me much when I was younger, but when I got older and rewatched the first few seasons and actually went through the entire show, I found myself really enjoying him! some of it is that I am very much gay and very much in love with him, but a lot of it is that I do find him quite compelling, and he's very enjoyable to watch!
The character everyone else loves that I don’t: I genuinely cant think of a TNG character that I dont like that I wasn't supposed to not like
The character I love that everyone else hates: PULASKI. fandoms will say they want more evil women and they cant even handle Doctor Pulaski being rude. her arc was COMPELLING. Data's my fav and I hate when people are mean to him but people are fucking ridiculous about the Pulaski hate

The character I would totally smooch: Deanna Troi Will Riker I would do anything to be in the middle of- (gets dragged offstage)
The character I’d want to be like: honestly... Riker. I really admire how respectful and earnest he is, his dedication to what he does, how he most often chooses kindness and understanding but can and will fuck somebody up if he needs to. also, again, would love to be that slutty and iconic
The character I’d slap: who else but Q
A pairing that I love: Troi/Riker makes me feel shrimp emotions. they LITERALLY go on dates and kiss and say theyre just friends. Troi/Riker im sorry your show was airing in a time where you couldnt be in an open relationship onscreen cause that is ABSOLUTELY what was going on
A pairing that I despise: Troi/Worf could've been cute but it was very rushed so it didnt do it for me unfortunately. had it been handled better (and also if it was Troi/Riker/Worf) I think it would've been really compelling and fun! but alas we got it the way we did :/

How long does a show have to be bad before y'all stop saying we "just need to give it time" and accept that it sucks? Serious question
#like. after the first season erased Inej's trauma and established the characters in ways that completely fucked up the trajectory of their#arcs you couldn't scroll more than 2 seconds without seeing someone chastizing any naysayer with 'im sure they'll include/fix/make that#work in the next season stop complaining its not fair to judge it'. and now that season 2 is out and Inej's trauma was ignored even more#than before and they've shuffled all the plot beats and character moments in ways that rob them of their impact and make half of them v#virtually meaningless because they haven't been built to i STILL see people mocking and chastizing anyone who speaks against it with#'oh my gosh just give them time to tell the story they clearly changed things for a reason and obviously they must have a very good idea#that they just haven't gotten to yet and if you stop complaining and stream the show nonstop we'll get season 3/the spinoff and itll be#so great' and like. where is your faith coming from? what have they done that makes you think they're good at this? why do you trust them?#how long does something have to consistently suck before you accept that it sucks?#when are you finally 'allowed' to point out that just isnt very good? how many seasons need pass before you can pass judgement?#shadow and bone

dr who is a strange show
#so I finished 13’s run like two weeks ago? and I’m about to finish 9#and it’s just kinda interesting how like simultaneously continuous and disjointed it is#10 was the doctor I’d seen most of before I started watching it myself so that was who I knew the doctor to Be#but now I’ve watched 13 and. she’s kinda It#and having watched 9 he definitely feels like an early incarnation which is interesting I think bc 13 is just so tired of everything. 9 isnt#like he isn’t NOT tired but he’s not hit 13 breaking point#also like. watching 9 has been fun bc it’s constantly like ohhhh so THATS where they were getting that from#stuff that like I’d seen in 13 that I didn’t remember from 10 but no she didn’t make it up that’s a callback#I don’t have particularly coherent thoughts if you were wondering just this like. swirling mess of how these people are the same person#it’s also just rlly strange to me that we’re not gonna get more 13 now like that’s It her run ended#and it might be because 9 is so clearly Done and he’s got one season that I didn’t have a chance to get as attached#and I didn’t ever sit down myself and watch 10 I just saw chunks so it doesn’t feel like he’s done yet#(but also I mean he did just come back. there is that. strange show)#yeah idk. #so i accidentally fell asleep again#same old same old#but my girlfriend and i had a very busy day so we were pretty tired by the time we were going to bed#we hung out with some friends and played magic the gathering (we played a 5-way game of commander that was LONG)#we even dressed up in fantasy clothing for the occasion#and i also gave everyone (including my girlfriend) a tarot reading#it had been a bit since id done tarot but it really is like riding a bike wherein it all just comes back to you while you do it#it was a lot of fun!#as for the prompt i had to kind of tweak it and make it work how it wanted it to#(especially cos 'eviscerated' isnt listed as an adjective online even though it obviously is one cos its describing a noun)#(which is something ive had to do in past so it wasnt too big of a deal)#but i like this prompt a lot because it suggests a vision or hallucination of someone or something that is 'eviscerated' in some way#despite there being only three definitions for 'eviscerated' that was more definitions than i thought there would be#so im not sure yet which one im going to go with for my poem (although if you know me im probably going to go with the disemboweled one)#i think this prompt fits perfectly for spooky season so im really excited about it#thanks for reading#writing#writer#creative writing#writing prompt#writeblr#trying to be a writeblr at least
