FYI I'm new to BL content and your seduction set just gave me so much joy, I'm watching The Eclipse next. (It was originally 24th on the list but I've bumped it up, I'm currently watching two at a time, but I'll do Eclipse on its own, I just have a feeling it'll be so good and don't want to mix it with anything else)

This is the best ask, thank you. Because of this I just went back to the start of when I optimistically thought it'd just be a silly thing I abandoned maybe a dozen gifsets in, if I was lucky.

The Eclipse truly did a number on me. It's got its flaws (I'm told; I refuse to see 'em) like any other media, but I'll defend it to my dying breath so I'm sort of giddy with glee at the prospect of luring someone into its midst, or at least encouraging someone to come closer. I hope you enjoy it - let me know how you find it! Even if you're not as impressed as I personally feel everyone should be.

Sidenote: I've been rereading my old alts (I started adding them around Step 29 and retrospectively added them to previous sets around then too, about a year ago), and it's nice to know I'm still as nuts about them as I was in (more or less) the beginning.

I have so many thoughts on the newest Ms. Marvel episode, episode three.

First, I felt so much RAGE when those federal agents stepped onto the mosque carpet with their shoes. For those of you who don’t know, you take off your shoes before entering the “praying area” I guess you could call it. The carpeted area of the mosque is for praying so you take off your shoes before stepping there. Every mosque has a designated area to put your shoes and there’s no way they didn’t see it as they entered the mosque. I literally gasped when I saw them step onto the carpet with their filthy shoes. You just don’t do that!!

Second, I felt a bit iffy about the group of Djinn from the moment we met them. It was odd that Kamran and his mom showed up to save Kamala right when she needed them. It was also odd when Kamran’s mom said something along the lines of, “Those people don’t know what’s best for you, we’ll protect you.” That immediately made me think they were manipulating her. So, I wasn’t too surprised that they turned against her and became more like villains.

Third, congrats to Nakia for making it onto the mosque board!! I’m so proud of her! I’m also proud at her for calling those federal agents out. It definitely seemed like they were more concerned because the “enhanced being” was possibly Muslim, not just because there was an “enhanced being.” That’s something I really like about this show. They address that Muslims are seen as a threat for just existing. 

Also, I’m glad Bruno finally told Kamala about being accepted into Caltech. But it was so sad to see how sad they both are about something that should’ve been celebrated. Getting into Caltech is so hard and he did it! But it also means that he’ll be far away. Being best friends for so long, they’re used to being only a short bike ride away, and now he won’t be. 

Finally, the wedding!! It was so pretty! The dance sequence with everyone dancing was so cute and heartwarming. I kinda wish Kamala and Bruno could’ve danced together. But at the same time, I don’t? Like, I’m trying really hard not to ship those two but it’s so hard. And I’m doing that because unless he’s Muslim, they can’t be together. Which is the same thing with Kamran. 

Anyway, it was a great episode as always!!

Finally got to start watching TUA’s third season

Viktor coming out and talking about how he feels like himself finally? Yeah that made me bawl my eyes out

It is so important to me to see ftm representation, it means so much to have a character I already loved come out and actually talk about how he never felt right until now

And everyone accepting him - that’s so important too, to have them be cool with it and making a point of correcting others (Like Diego did when Luther used his deadname)

Tonight I am happy because just a few lines make such a big difference for us

Oooo I must have totally missed or forgotten that. I'd vote for those two. God I just love this show and their queer rep! It's so seamless too, like it's not announcing it for brownie points. Luz has a girlfriend. Period. There's no even mentioned within the show that it's two girls in a relationship. They just are. Amazing.

The reason Psych is the Important Show of All Time is because it said "friendship is the MOST important thing." Like, yes, the romances were good but the show spends even more time emphasizing and developing the friendships and that's why it rocks. Lassiter and Juliet love and support each other unconditionally without even the slightest whiff of romance and it is SO. REFRESHING. When Juliet almost dies, Lassie sacrifices his favorite gun to save her without any hesitation. He's the one there to hold her while she cries. She's his confidant. She leaves everything she knows behind so he can chase his dream of being chief without reprocussion. That's a deep, wholesome kind of platonic love. They also never had Shawn be jealous of how close Jules and Lassie are - instead, in the final episode, we see Shawn thanking Lassie for loving and supporting Juliet. We simply don't do that jealousy crap here. Lassie and Jules are best friends and that's an excellent thing. And then there's Shawn and Gus. Those characters are narratively and physically inseperable. The show makes it VERY clear that, without the other, neither one is complete. They balance each other and exacerbate each other's hijinks at the same time. They're closer than close and everyone around them just accepts it. It's just the way those two dumb boys are and no one is going to try to get between that. And then, of course, SO many friendships develop over the course of the show. Lassie and Shawn form a begrudging friendship eventually. Juliet and Karen end up bonding more than I think either expected. Friendship is the beating heart of this series and it's presented in a way that is unique and fun and I just don't see a lot of other shows that do it like Psych did.

if the agrestes weren't rich i think that gabriel would be the normal one. like gabe's problem is that he stopped running into natural limits due to absurd wealth and his obsessive nature led him to develop some kind of god complex where he won't accept that anything is out of his control. I think that if gabe was broke again and just simply couldn't afford to go on an international goose chase for ancient magic artifacts of untold power, if he had to work a 9-5 to live and couldn't just disappear into his basement lair to commit domestic terrorism and say evil monologues to himself, then he would be way more normal. he'd just be some guy. he might even let himself have a mowhawk again. but I think that emilie would be way LESS normal if they weren't rich. like emilie needs so many people to be obsessed with her so much all the time in order for her to function. and gabe would still have his toxic codependent obsession with her, sure, but that wouldn't be nearly enough. emilie has to be at the center of the world's spotlight at all times because she doesn't know how to exist if she's not performing. anyway all this to say I am so certain that if the agrestes were not disgustingly wealthy, emilie agreste would one million percent be running a massive family vlogger youtube channel
