@naranjapetrificada tagged me in a very fun game: write 8 predictions you have for the 8 eps of ofmd s2, then tag 8 people (sorry if you were already tagged by someone else if I do)
Spoilers under cut??? Maybe?????
1. I agree with Naran, as I think the crashed wedding is gonna be the first thing from s2. It will be such an introduction too, my god!
2. As a parallel with ep 1 and 2, I think Lucius will be revealed to be alive at the end of ep 1. And then ep 2 starts with his perspective, going through everything up until whatever present moment were on (maybe he knocks out and kidnaps Izzy or something lol)
3. Of course, ep 3 parallels, Stede and Ed will reunite at the end of the ep. And STEDE IS GONNA RESCUE ED
4. But now, I think by what we've seen so far, Anne Bonny and Spanish Jackie will show up during Stede's journey back to Ed. It would be funny if the reason Swede is there with Jackie is to throw her off, taking one for the team XD
5. That purple party though... must be related to Susan I think (and I think she's gonna be Ching Shih). But I am absolutely down for a Ed and Stede slow dance
6. As much as I want my "Stede and Ed deserted on an island bottle episode", I think what's gonna happen is Ed is "accidentally" swept overboard during a storm (we find out though he wasn't planning to fight out of his circumstances), and he has a little journey by himself. Hornigold ghost, maybe a pearl necklace swept up to shore? And hey, it could be a one-man play with Taika as a bottle episode still
7. But here now, I'm gonna upset people - I think one of the main supporting cast members is gonna die. Gonna be a real dramatic moment, an All Is Lost story beat. And I said it before, but I think it's gonna be Buttons - he's loyal to Stede and the crew, and would not hesitate to sacrifice himself if it came to it. I'm just suspecting, and I hope it isn't true, but the show has proven there's no plot armor
8. Omg Naran, I am taking your idea now of that cliffhanger. Because if Stede and Ed have a "our last night together" sex scene?????? I will combust, I swear. Even though I am still certain that a blackbonnet sex scene will not come until s3, I am hoping now for your theory to come true, because that would be the most emotional shit (and I mean, I am hoping for a slightly funny but more emotional love scene). I AM though, also certain there's gonna be a cliffhanger for the season. Hopefully not causing Stede and Ed to separate, it could just be like, them looking at the new danger (Lieutenant Maynard), then cut to black

I would also like to see some miphlink, if that's okay!
I was really struggling with what to draw, and then I remembered your ask from ages ago (dang ADHD brain...) anyway, sorry its such a late answer, but Miphlink inspired by Dicksee's La Belle Dame

In RWBY weapons are a part of a person, an extension of yourself, as Ruby puts it in V1. So, a weapon can say a lot about a person in how it appears and what it's used for.
Looking at Crescent Rose compared to our other main characters' weapons and it's immediately one that stands out from the size alone, it immediately draws our attention, it usually takes up the screen.
Like Ruby, it's striking, awe inspiring and larger than life. It's beautiful, resilient and strong, but evolves to be more adaptable during the Atlas Arc, when Ruby herself has to be more flexible and think outside the box, and her worldview is consistently challenged. It's also very easily the most intricate and complicated design, by her own admission:
"I guess I did go a little overboard in designing it..."
Which, while on the surface means it looks cool and flashy, it's also incredibly complex, just like Ruby.
And as we know from V9, a weapon like that would also be a heavy one to carry at all times too, and it weighs on her. Just like being "Ruby Rose" means to shoulder all the responsibilities and entanglements that come with being who she is, a huntress, a leader, a hero, a spark of hope and light who inspires others. In the end her resolve as a huntress and in who she is, and her purpose, is renewed and stronger than ever before, and wields her weapon once more with confidence.
That doesn't mean her burdens have gotten any lighter though, in fact upon returning to Vacuo, because of her message, all of humanity is now looking to her. No matter how strong, confident and resolved she is, that's a heavy weight for one person to carry alone.
Which brings me to Oscar's weapon, the Long Memory. Which is a cane, smaller, simple and straightforward, but has it's own hidden light stored inside. A cane is meant to take someone's weight by design, that's it's purpose. To be something that's leant on as a crutch when you're hurting to alleviate the pain by taking the pressure off yourself, so moving forward is made easier. Because everyone needs that support sometimes and it's okay to be weak, it doesn't make you lesser, it just makes you human. And it is incredibly human for us to care for and lean on one another for support. That vulnerability leads to our greatest strength as humans.
The one who carries the heaviest weapon vs The one who has a weapon that can be leant on to take pressure off yourself. Ruby who carries a heavy burden and Oscar being someone that can be leant on for support. ooooooohhhh the cymbal ism of it all.

More on this.
Found this map the dev made!! It’s a year old, might be out of date but eh I’ll take anything for my world building nonesense.
My original idea bout the country being cold is SIGNIFICANTLY WRONG, it’s RIGHT by the equator gkvfkvkkf. So the cloak is for heat rather than cold. I’m gonna stick to the idea that it’s very windy tho!! Bc. Island.
Since the island has mountains, it’s probably gonna be humid, and tropical imo! In that case, it would have high biodiversity. The kicker for me is more daylight hours, LOTS of potential there. Would be lots of farming, and their main exports would be food.
This just has me more convinced on my trading idea!! Lots of exporting goods!! The dev said to think Europe in terms of size for these countries. There’s prolly some traveling going on. A LOT of traveling. Merchantry and seafaring would be profitable!
Sif’s country would probably have Vaugaurdian and Mwudu’s language as apart of schooling. Any natives of the country who weren’t there at the time of the incident would be able to assimilate easier with the two other countries.

[ID: a pixel art gif of Five and Delores sitting on rotting lounge chairs by a pool in the apocalypse. Delores, made human by FIve's perspective, is swinging her legs, and Five is reading a book. There are four colors; yellow, hot pink, lime green, and blue. Music notes emerge from a radio. The sky is completely obscured by yellow, shifting clouds. End ID]
sometimes a guy has gotta have a vacation, even in the middle of the apocalypse.

So now that we're pretty sure the gate led them back in time, is it safe to assume that the ruins where Twilight and the Shadow fought were once part of this dungeon?
@linkeduniverse "Shifting Shadows pt4" page 2
Interesting motifs. Those blocks remind me of the strange owl-like statues at the front of the dungeon, and it looks like there are wings on those columns and perhaps in the patterns on the floor there. I bet those blocks are part of a puzzle. Anyone recognize them?
I wonder how much time passed and/or events occurred to leave that magnificent structure this overgrown and crumbling.
As a side note, the lighting in these panels is so pretty. I especially love the last one, with Twilight looking up as the light falls on him.

doflamingo would be dealt with. that’s what this note said, that letter here, this crumpled report. finally, doflamingo’s last hand was dealt. it must have haunted him, but love prevailed. it was printed on his shirt, inked after signatures, scrawled on his polaroids. now, he was free. law cracked the window, lit up, and coughed up. it was time to put those notes to rest. together.

Corrie Shinies: Oh, the Commander is having a call with the Queen of Alderaan...I wonder what they are talking about. It's probably about something really important and intelligent...maybe philosophy or something like that...
Meanwhile Fox, in his office, with Breha on the line and the newest part of a period romance series in his hands: "-and then Sir Reves looked at Adeldine, with his eyes dark like the skies of Eldorn when there would be a storm brewing, and he said-" Oh my God wow-
Breha, absolutely not paying any attention to her flimsiwork she had been doing before: Yes? He said what?
Fox: "- 'In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you-" oh kriffing finally! The back and forth was driving me insane
Breha: Hey, it only took four books this time!
Fox: Now we'll just have to hope that this one will not die immediately after confessing, I can't do this again

the chaos of this group arriving at the zou island is so funny
you have the freaked out usopp (clutching zoro's backpack) and luffy and the others being excited about the ninja/kin'emon's samurai friend
robin, franky, luffy and usopp finding the dragon carrying them up endearing
then these two idiots acting all tough and unbothered about it (and zoro immediately going to tactical mode)
and then luffy just straight up jumps over the wall and way ahead of them
and zoro being like 'why would i expect anything else from him' ("what else is new?" he's so used to those luffy shenanigans askdjs)

throwback to when i first read harrow the ninth and i was convinced that The Body(TM) was not a genuine daily harrow experience but rather a consequence of gideon's erasure. like has harrowhark been having hallucinations of the body locked in the tomb since she was ten or is that just her mind filling in the sounds and sensations of gideon's presence in her life. is harrowhark really in love with the body or is that just her feelings for gideon finding another vessel in her absence. etc. etc. that was fun

life update (it's been wild)
Hello everyone, hope you all are doing well and have had a great start to the year!
My February started off bad, and is ending with me getting 2nd degree burns all over my legs (there's 6 days left, I hope it doesn't get any worse from here), hence accelerating the tragic timing of everything; putting me out of actual work for a while, and in a tough financial situation as a custom commission recently fell through.
🧛🏽 Due to all of this I'll be reselling this Vampire: The Masquerade custom at $215, as per original quote for the commissioner.
if you're interested, please inbox me.
✉️ I'm also opening 4 slots of portrait commissions — all at $60 flat; if you're interested, contact me via email (you can find it through my comm page).
☕️ If you'd like to drop anything small to help out: ko-fi.com/tzitzki
I'd appreciate any re-shares! Thank you all so much in advance!
