So I’m rewatching some MCU movies and I just thought of something that could be pretty freaking cool to write.

Imagine this convo:

“The cell was just in case-“

“In case you needed to kill me. By you can’t. I know, I tried.”

Behind the scenes - Maze runner

This is a companion piece with this fic.

(Newt) Thomas Broadie-sangster X reader. Slow burn.

Two requests that I have joined together.

Reader and Thomas could both be actors working on the same project (maybe Maze Runner). Maybe they don't really like each other at the beginning, but they have to go to a special event with the whole cast and Thomas notices that reader is uncomfortable in big crowds and he kind of starts protecting reader.

After you finish Newt x Reader do you think you can make Bloopers?😂 Of course behind the scenes/off-set TBS and Y/N are a couple

You stood beside Ki Hong as he tried to say his lines, but Dylan continued to pull silly faces behind the camera making you all laugh. Four takes later and you hear Wes telling him off which causes you all to laugh again.

Blake (who plays Chuck) is holding a pile of blankets and “Greenie” equipment below the watchtower. He lifts his hand to wave, calling out his line,

“Hey Alby!” The metal bowls and cutlery begin to fall and he tries to catch them. Though he tries to recover the blankets drop and become too heavy in one arm, more and more of the props drop to the grass. Eventually Blake gives up and just shrugs. Your laughter can be heard before you come back into the shot.

You sit between Dylan and Thomas with your backs to a log. It's a night shoot, the first of many to come, and as such you were all feeling a little tired and loopy. The scene was simply, your character and Thomas's would attempt to cheer up Dylan's. The two boys had other ideas and they both began leaning across you making it look like they were about to kiss each other. You give them both a quick flick with your hands when they pull back. Dylan drops his head to your shoulder as he laughs, Thomas, however l, pulls slightly away.

You and Dexter Darden come running into the shot, the camera placed around waist height looking up.

“Newt, what do you see?” Dexter says his line, but you slip on a patch of wet mud and though you grab at Dexter's arm you slide down, hitting the ground. All the boys, camera crew and Wes begin to cackle at your mishap. You stood up as gracefully as you could, but there was definitely a big bruise on your hip that afternoon.

Dylan helped you to hobble about between takes until there was an exchange between him and Thomas. After that Dylan mostly stayed away from you that day.

Most of you stand at the entrance to the maze, as you wait for the scene to begin. Thomas is on your left. You feel Dexter begin to dance beside you, shaking his shoulders and you instantly join in. The tiger playing Mai Mai, shakes her head and starts jumping around you, playfully. Your laughter catches Thomas's attention and he spins his head round to watch you both. A sweet smile crept onto his face.

Dylan is holding a camera in front of him with Ki Hong beside him, they are whispering to the camera.

“Hey, hey look at this,” Dylan turns the camera and quietly sneaks around the door of one of the glade huts. In the middle, on top of a blanket Thomas is lying on his side, reading a book aloud to you. You are stringing together a chord of daisy's that you then place on Thomas' head. His blonde hair and the crown makes him look like a fairy or a grecian god.

“Young love.” Dylan and Ki Hong giggle before rushing away when you notice them there.

In an interview the cast are asked who is more likely to ruin a take and almost everyone points to you.

“Hey!” You protest.

“No, literally you fall over all the time!” Kaya giggles.

“Oh yeah you're right, I have zero balance.” You agree. Dylan pretends to push you causing you to jump and almost fall from your high chair. Luckily Thomas was able to catch your arm and gently push you back into place. Your eyes meet and you share a small smile. The others catch it and a few whispers are exchanged.

The red carpet came, and you walked with the other teenagers. Your confidence was as high as everyone's with the world watching. It was great to spend time with the others again after a short break. As you walked the media line you answered questions they threw at you. For the most part they were all the same until one asked you,

“So, have there been any romances on set?”

“Oh um, no, no-”

As you're talking Dylan and Thomas walk behind you, both of them bent round and kissed you on either side of your face.

“Those two, total bromance.” You laugh.

(name) loved his older brother very much, but what (name) was hiding from his brother was that he was getting bullied. He didn't want his brother getting expelled so he kept it to himself thinking it would go away.

But i didn't it just kept going and going that (name) was showing up at home all bloodied and bruised up. Robin asked him so many times but (name) didn't say anything. So robin had a plan, teach (name) how to fight his bullies off.

"take a fast step forward, step back and swing" robin said to hit little brother, showing him with an old telephone head. (name) tried it but almost hit himself in the eye with the cord. "watch out (name) don't want your eyes falling out" robin said laughing at his little brother.

kidnappings had been going around so that's another reason why robin is teaching (name) how to fight. last week vance hopper was kidnapped and a lot of people weren't doing anything so that's why robin wanted his little brother safe when he isn't around him.

Robin piled up clothes on the grass making it look like a punching bag. "i want you to punch this for a good 10 minutes while i got and get something and then i will teach you how to kick" robin said to his brother, asking finney to watch him for protection. " your a good brother" finney said to robin, while he was leaving. "thanks finn" robin smiled at finney, going inside to get drinks and snacks for all of them.

After robin taught (name) how to kick, he was already looking like a professional at fighting. "good job (name) robin said, high fiving his little brother while they go to sleep for school tomorrow.

The next day (name) heard his name being called out and found out it was his bullies. Lucas williams, brad pitcher and thomas clarke. They were the school's bullies but (name) felt like the only one that was getting bullied from them. "what do you want" (name) said turning around to face them "where's your lunch money, huh?" thomas said walking up to little arellano. " i don't have it today" (name) said stuttering because lucas, brad and thomas are really tall. "cmon boys" thomas said, running after (name)

(name) was running away until he was met with a wall. "we have you cornered now wimp" brad said, clicking his knuckles "oh fuck off!" (name) yelled at them. Thomas was about to punch (name) until he dodged it and punched thomas in the gut "ouchh" thomas said groaning at the impact. (name) started to kick their asses while a crowd was forming. Everybody was amazed that the school bullies were looking like scared puppies. "run away little pups" (name) said after getting off of lucas. They all scrambled to their feet pushing each other out of the way to get away.

Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish? oh i have a couple 'on hold' at the minute, but tbh i'm not sure it i'll actually finish them my the end of the year or just dnf them (piranesi, will my cat eat my eyeballs, spy x family vol.1)

Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year? not really - i was planning on reading lots of horror throughout the month of october but then life got in the way (positively, for a change :))

Is there a new release you're still waiting for? nope, my most anticipated reads have all been released by now (namely: we all fall down by r. szabo, the sunbearer trials by a. thomas, and the atlas paradox by o. blake)

What are three books you want to read before the end of the year? the sunbearer trials by a. thomas, the wicked king by h. black, and my reread of the king's men by n. sakavic (but who knows, i'm 10201% a mood reader lol)

Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year? hmm i don't think so? maybe one of the cruel prince books but we'll see

Have you already started making reading plans for next year? oh i just have my endless ongoing tbr + i think i *might* give 90 books a go in 2023 :)

A Little Light - Blake & Schofield x reader

WARNINGS: x

A/N: just so you know, this is NOT a romantic imagine. I purposely chose not to include any kind of romance cause that's exactly what made the original scene so beautiful & real :) <3

"Il n'y a rien ici. Nous n'avons rien pour vous. S'il vous plaît." (There is nothing here. We have nothing for you. Please.) Your voice was quiet but shaking, fear quickly taking over you as you revealed yourself, slightly stepping out of the dark corner you were hiding in. The knot in your throat tightened as you noticed the rifle the two soldiers were holding and you stepped back a little when their eyes met yours.

"Anglais...not German." One of them said as they both set their rifle down, holding their hands up. "Friends...we are friends."

"I'm Blake. And this is Schofield." The younger one continued, gesturing to himself and his friend. Feeling relieved as you understood they weren't a threat, you nodded your head and slowly walked out of your hiding place, hugging your arms close to yourself.

"You are hurt...." you whispered softly as you noticed blood on the back of Schofield's head. Taking a step towards him, you pointed at a chair near the fire. "Asseyez-vous." (sit down)

"Asseyez-vous, monsieur." (sit down, sir) you insisted as he suddenly began to sway, feeling nauseous.

"C'mon Scho, sit down." you heard the younger soldier say as he placed a hand over his friend's shoulder. The man swayed slightly before dropping into the chair. Slowly, you moved over to him and placed your hand on his, making him jump as tenderness was still foreign to him. You carefully parted his damp hair and accidentally let your finger brush over the wound, making him flinch. You apologized silently before reaching down and taking out a handkerchief, holding it against the wound to stop the bleeding.

"Il me reste un petit peu de désinfectant. Je peux vous le donner." (I have a little bit of disinfectant left. I can give it to you.)

"No..." the man answered before turning slowly to face you, your gaze locking momentarily. "Save it for yourself, in case you need it." he continued, his voice weak from pain and tiredness. After a moment, you nodded.

Then, a soft sound suddenly came from behind you, and both men's eyes shot open. Getting up carefully, you moved to the corner of the room and lifted up a baby from an old drawer that had been lined with cloth. The boys quickly followed after you, their eyes never leaving the baby.

"Bonjour ma puce..." (hello, sweetie...) you whispered, taking a sit on the dusty mattress that laid on the floor. You stroked the little girl's cheeks as she began crying, kissing her forehead and mumbling soothing words as Blake and Schofield kneeled in front of you.

"Shhh, je suis là. Je suis là. (Shh. I'm here. I'm right here.) Regarde. On n'est pas toutes seules. Tu dis bonjour?" (Look. We're not alone. You wanna say hi?) The little girl's cries subsisted as she laid her eyes on the soldiers, intrigued by them.

The two boys stared at the baby with a soft smile as she squirmed around and whimpered into your arms for a moment. Looking up, you could see the excitement glowing in the younger boy's eyes.

"Est-ce que— est-ce que tu veux la porter?...hold her?" you asked. You could tell he was unsure of what to do or say, not knowing if this was a good idea. Blake turned to Schofield who nodded at him after a few seconds. With a smile, you moved closer and carefully handed the baby over to Blake, not letting go until you were certain he had the hang of her.

"Make sure to support her head." Schofield spoke softly and Blake nodded as he started cradling her gently. The baby settled in his arms almost immediately, making him smile. Her big brown eyes were staring up at him and she reached up, trying to touch his face.

"She's beautiful..." Blake murmured as she grabbed his finger with her tiny palm and gurgled happily. Blake looked up at you with a bright smile before turning his attention back to the baby, softly stroking the back of her hand with his thumb. You and Schofield shared a soft look, appreciating this small heartwarming moment.

"She likes you." you whispered, smiling fondly at the scene in front of you, temporarily forgetting about the harsh reality of the outside world.

"What is her name?" Blake continued.

"Je ne sais pas. Elle n'est pas à moi..." (I don't know. She's not mine...)

Suddenly, the little girl's eyes filled with tears and a small cry left her throat. Blake tensed, his face falling with worry.

"She's hungry." You spoke as you reached out to stroke her tiny head. With a heavy heart, Blake handed her back to you, letting you cradle her. Placing your hand behind her tiny head, you carefully lifted her up to your shoulder, rubbing her back softly and whispering soothing words into her ear.

"Here. I have milk." Schofield announced as he pried the canteen from his belt, handing it over to you. You looked up at him, wearing a look of pure amazement and gratitude.

"Take these as well." Blake continued, before opening his pack and emptying his rations on the mattress. You opened your mouth to speak, but nothing came out of it. "Take them all, for you and her."

"Je ne peux pas—" you finally managed to blurt out. "Vous en avez besoin...gardez-les." (I can't— you need that food...keep it.)

Before any of them could answer, the distant sound of the church bell startled them, and with one last glance towards the baby, they stood up. You watched them confused, holding the child closer to you as you followed them.

"Qu'est-ce que vous faites? Attendez, s'il vous plaît. Il va bientôt faire jour. Les soldats, ils vont vous voir." (What are you doing? Wait, please. It will be light soon. The soldiers, they'll see you.)

"We're sorry." Schofield answered as he grabbed his rifle and walked to the doorway, Blake following closely.

"Attendez, je vous en prie. Restez." (Wait, please. Stay.) you reached for Blake's arm, and his expression dropped even more when he saw your frightened state.

"I'm really sorry, but we have to go now." he eventually tried to reason with you. "My brother, along with hundred of men are in danger." Blake answered. You hadn't noticed the single tear that rolled down to your cheek until you felt its salty taste on your lips. After a few seconds, you let go of his arm and nodded slowly, taking a step back. You wrapped your arm around the baby protectively but also for comfort as you watched them walk over to the doorway with their rifles clutched in their hands.

And before you knew it, with one last apology, you were left alone again surrounded by darkness and fear.

happy - thomas blake x reader (headcanons)

my first blake request! i tried to make this as gender neutral as possible, and it’s all fluff! hope you guys enjoy :)

you weren’t exactly in the best of spirits in this whole war situation

but could anybody blame you?

you were a young, ambitious and determined person, who’s life plans definitely weren’t to be fighting germans

but you felt the need to help with the war effort when it was announced, hoping maybe if more people pitched in then this whole thing could be over quicker

but you were beginning to lose all hope at this point

so when you first came across thomas blake, you couldn’t get your breath and how he managed to be so cheery and postive

he always greeted you with a smile on his face, always had funny stories to tell and never failed to see the positive side of everything

you began to question if you were even experiencing the same things as him?

and you tried to be as polite to him as you could, you really did - but a lot of the time you just weren’t in the mood

and tom noticed this

so he made it his own personal mission to cheer you up, because he didn’t like seeing you this way at all

he came to the realisation that he has unintentionally fell for you, and there was no going back

so one day, he saw you sitting against the side of the trench, lost in your own thoughts

he then approached you, with his signature bright smile

“hey, y/n! how’s it going?” he asked, the smile not leaving his face

you snapped out of your thoughts, looking up to see who it was

“how do you think it’s going?”

you really didn’t mean to come across rude, but the whole front line had took a hit two days ago, meaning you both had to witness plenty of brutality - being lucky to both still be alive

“yeah, that was a stupid question to ask i’m sorry. but did you hear about private jones and the letter he received?! it was off his missus and it was funniest-”

blake then went on to tell you about the funny story involving jones, while you just sat through it, trying to show at least a little interest

and you had to admit, when he’d finished, it was kind of funny

and blake hearing you laugh for the first time, it was like music to his ears

so from then on, the two of you became pretty close friends

blake would listen in for any funny stories he could hear, to pass on to you in the hope of hearing your laugh again

this went on for months, in fact

and eventually, you began to open up to him too, slowly but surely

and blake honestly couldn’t be happier, because it meant he was gradually getting closer to completing his personal mission - to make you happier

and one day, which became blake’s favourite day of the whole war (if he could ever have one), began by him greeting you as normal

and just as he went to tell a new story he overheard, he felt your lips on his

and his heart,, it exploded out of his chest

he wasted no time in kissing back, his head feeling light as he couldn’t believe it was happening

not only was he kissing you, but you initiated it

once you pulled away, his grin was as big as ever

“what made you do that?” he smiled, “not that that’s a complaint - i’m rather happy you did, actually”

“tom, you’ve made me see light at the end of the tunnel. and i can’t lie, i was almost jealous of you, at the start. jealous that you seemed so happy. but then you turned my mindset around. you made me happy”

that was the official tick in the box for blake, showing that he did it. he well and truly cheered you up

and not only that, he (well, he was pretty sure after that kiss) made you his

so he took your hands in his, gave it a light squeeze, and pecked you on the lips again

and he already knew he’d never get old of that

“be mine?” he asked, although he was pretty hopeful he knew the answer already

“yes, you idiot. of course i will” you laughed, even more happiness radiating off the both of you

he sat down next to you, his hand still in yours, and let out a sigh of pure contentness

“so anyways, did you hear about lieutenant stevens?”

you couldn’t help but laugh again, ready to hear what he’d found out this time

I feel like no one beats daddy Hotch but Aaron is most likely to drop puppy of at Blake’s out of everyone on the team because first of all, he trusts her, but puppy is in general very comfortable around Blake. Blake’s nature is very soothing to puppy and helps her anxiety levels stay low when Hotch can’t be there
