I wanna know, how did y’all get into Nicoby as a ship?

Seriously, cause I know some people who ship it aren’t in the Creepypasta fandom and don’t know anything about Toby or the Proxies but are big PJO fans and interact with the fandom a lot

And then there’s the other way around with big Creepypasta fans that are very active in the fandom yet don’t know almost anything about PJO

I got into it after seeing it get mentioned by a crossover shipping-centric blog on here where the owner of the account was live posting their thoughts on each chapter of “Nico And The Creepypastas”

Then I dug myself down this rabbit hole (LMAOOO) by seeing a few posts made by @angels-and-demons under the #ticci toby x nico di angelo tag so that got me into the ship even more

By the time I started reading NATC on AO3 I was fully rooting for Nico and Toby to kiss be all cute and couple-y with each other

So I’m curious

Nico/Toby is fun bc the ship actually makes a great Arranged Marriage AU bc seriously I reckon Hades and Slenderman would attempt to seal a deal that ensures both the freewill of the Proxies and the order of the Underworld by, well, proposing a marriage.

It makes sense in my head okay!

hi this is an insane message but is nico’s service cat being named ira perchance based off of a ticci toby x nico di angelo fanfiction from 2015. because i read that fic when i was like 11 and then i saw your headcanons just now and my eyes snapped wide open as the memories rushed back to me and i’m 99% sure that nico had a skeleton cat named ira in that fic. if i’m right that’s crazy because that fic has haunted the back of my mind for eight years

I got into this ship around early 2022 MAYBE even earlier around late 2021(???) due to this fic called “Nico and The Creepypastas” on AO3 and also huge thanks to Ellie of course !!

They’d genuinely be a badass couple together

I want my boy Neito to be giddy, flustered, and absolutely enamored by Ichigo

They’ve both got crazy drip too, and the opposite aesthetics make me go INSANE

Personally, I feel like they’d meet before Neito gets into U.A. (Before the entrance exams) they’d then start dating in secret but it’s just a secret to everyone at U.A. Since Neito is very private about his home life and stuff

I can imagine some of the Class 1-B kids making a quip about Ichigo being Kendo’s long lost older brother once they meet

Ichigo would be scary and intimidating too but he’s genuinely a sweetheart

SetsuDen (Setsuna Tokage/Denji)

Listen to me, both got sharp teeth, powers with some body horror stuff going on and they’ve also both got detached/split limbs

These two would meet pre-canon in an AU where Setsuna finds/meets Denji in an alleyway with Pochita (since he’s still homeless in this) and Setsuna’s still in middle school/junior high so pre-U.A.

They’d sneak around often and Setsuna (canonically a recommended student = MONEY) would bathe his ass like a dog and get him a new change of clothes

Denji and Pochita contract still happens so obviously he’s still Chainsaw Man in this but since this is in the MHA-verse CSM would be classified as a vigilante while Setsuna gets into U.A.

Denji doesn’t get groomed by Himeno, Makima, and Fumiko, in this too

Basically, instead of working for Slender, Toby (and the other pastas we all know and love) works for Hades.

Adding on: Toby is assigned to be Nico's guard/attendant (bc that's what edgy teenagers like, right? A friend?).

Then they become friends.

And then... more than friends.

Anyway... uh, yeah. Enter this scene with Jeff, Toby and Hades (along with various other ghosts):

I just got two really creative idea:

- Nicoby Soulmate AU (writing on skin appears on the other)

- Nicoby Soulmate AU where they share bruises and stuff (so like for example if Toby gets a nosebleed then Nico gets a nosebleed but they can’t feel each others bruises)

So yeah if anyone wants to use this idea for like a fanfic then that’s great!!
