Greek mythology : Hades - God of the dead, riches and King of the underworld

I recently was contacted by the God Hades to work with him, and I am over the moon about it! He has been very kind and respectful about my belongings. We are struggling to communicate a bit, but it seems that he best communicates with me in urges and feelings, rather than words and digital divination. I am trying to build up a better relationship with him, learn what he like and how best to understand his way of communicating with me, and I have found that making a Pinterest board for him and just going through the 'more ideas' tab and selecting what he becomes happy about has really worked!

Its kind of interesting, though, considering that the day he arrived in my home, and ever since then (its been 3 days), when I wake up and look out the window- and only then when I look out the window- a crow flies by. I did a spread, and it does tell me something is coming, but to not worry, release my stress and to not focus on rewards, and to instead give away my independence to allow my deities to guide me like I have asked them to. Thats my plan for today, then! Relax, do my schooling, and maybe fill out my grimoire.

I have also noticed that Hades has been hanging around more than anyone else, but maybe its because he is getting used to the place. Its quite messy, but none of them mind, or at least I havent picked up on them minding the mess. The Phonoi often hang around, especially if I am watching something they take interest in, and sometimes Artemis comes around, but usually when I am around children or the dogs are in my room. Especially Turbo, but I think its because hes a puppy.

Regardless, I have a long day ahead of me! Before anyone says it, I do not have a physical tarot deck, but I am pretty confident that when I get one, it will be easier to communicate with my deities. I have found that the universe does communicate best through what I am most connected to, which is my digital divination app, but alas. Time to do work!

Hades: & pretend there's not a big-ass elephant in the room.

Jeff: [confused] What the fuck is going on?

Hades: [turns picture frame on desk around, revealing a photo of Nico] *This* is what the fuck is going on!

Jeff: [looks at the picture confused, looks at furiously blushing Toby, then back at the picture as he realises] OH SHIT! Oh Shit!

[laughs hysterically at Toby]

Jeff: Oh shit! No! That is not happening right now!

[exits office]

Jeff: No!

[to ghosts, exchanging high fives]

Jeff: Hey ya'll he's fucking the boss' son! Yo! Oh my FUCK!

Hades: [as Jeff is laughing outside the office, to Toby] Every time, he says that shit? That's another foot in your ass!

Jeff: [outside office] Toby! You clearly... yo, this is the best thing ever!

[laughing]

Jeff: Toby fucked the boss' son!

[sing-song]

Jeff: Toby fucked the boss' son! Toby fucked the boss' son!

Jeff: [re-enters office] Shit! Fuck!

[to Toby]

Jeff: You fucked Hades's son? Sir? What the fuck, you bragged to him to his face! To his actual face, the boss, do you understand that *this face*

Jeff: Right here! You bragged to that face!

Jeff: [to Hades] You actually high-fived Toby for fucking your son? Holy Shit! Oh my God, this is...

Hades: [picks sword up and places it back on the desk, with the point facing Jeff]

Jeff: [composing himself] It's really not that funny.

Toby: I just wanna say that it was bizarre not to share the fact that your son went to CO State.

Hades: I think it's bizarre that I haven't cut your motherfuckin' nuts off.

Jeff: [to Toby] What if, the boss gets to punch you in the face, one time? Really, really, REALLY hard?

Hades: Nah, I've got something WAY better than that.

[cut to Hades shooting a stun gun at Toby]

Hades came, he served absolute looks, he blackmailed his nephew, he grossly misjudged the situation, his daddy issues got triggered, he did a complete 180 by deciding yes actually he is going to steal his brother's shit, that backfired, and now arguably he's more confused than he was before Percy broke into his castle.

And that's Nico and Bianca's DAD.

Something I think about a lot is how Rick Riordan very rarely uses "girlfriend/boyfriend" to refer to Percy and Annabeth within their perspectives. They're so intertwined, even Annabeth says in hoh that the word boyfriend isn't strong enough, because Percy was a part of her. They are a singular soul, too wrapped around each others' fates that regular labels are far too weak for them. But, Rick Riordan uses "boyfriend" a lot in Nico and Wills perspectives, not because they love each other less than percabeth, but to show how much the word means to them. Nico uses it any chance he gets- "his boyfriend," "he actually had a boyfriend," because Nico has never been able to say that before. Their struggle with their queer identities mixed with Nico's catholic guilt and chronic everyone-hates-me disease makes the fact that he has someone to call his actual boyfriend so much more important to his character development.

Some Grimoire things!

I decided to add the Wheel of the Year, which I need to do more research on, and I started to make dedicated pages to each of the deities I work with!

I started with my Matron Deity, the Goddess Artemis, because the first handful of pages are dedicated to her and her brother, the God Apollo, when I first started out my path with deities, so I already had a list ready. I am excited to make one for the Gods Phonoi, and the God Hades!

I have been getting along with Hades more, and today I am going to go out exploring with my brother's girlfriend (her and my brother are living with my family and I) at Hades' very clear "yes, and take her with you" when I did some cartomancy. (Pulled the 8 of Hearts, which means Visitors/Invitation)

Exciting day ahead! I may even post a selfie with my veil...? We'll see!
