Wenvier Bingo Tim Burton Cinematic Universe - Batman
Wednesday was the daughter of Selena Kyle, most notoriously known as Catwoman, and an unknown man. Her mother never bothered to say much about the man who sired her, so Wednesday always assumed he was a mark or honeypot mission which her birth control failed. She had no need for her father, so she never questioned it.
She did take up her mother’s profession as Gotham City’s most infamous cat burglar. Most of the time she didn’t even do it for the money, but because she had the same desire for all things shiny and that sparkled.
She found a kindred spirit in Enid, who also donned the cat costume and together they’ve stolen half a billion dollars’ worth of jewelry and art from all over the world.
Wednesday and Enid were known as Midnight and Moonlight respectively, collectively the Black Cats.
Their current target was the Wayne Family Jewels, showcased at the Gotham Museum of Natural History, for their gem exhibit.
By the time they got there, there was a bloody trail of joker cards and the faint smell of the Joker’s patented Smylex which caused people to die from laughing.
It was the Joker’s most brutal goons, the Jesters. They wore red and black court jester costumes and had their faces painted with the Joker’s distinct wicked grin. Their own claim to fame was wearing bells, every time someone heard them ring, they knew death and mayhem were close.
Wednesday and Enid grinned at each other; they were always up for a bit of a challenge.
The Jesters were purposefully sloppy and destructive, smashing the glass cases while the alarm bell sounded.
The Black Cats were quick, graceful, and had stolen the Jesters’ loot before they had even known what was going on.
“Cheater!” the taller Jester shouted at them as the Black Cats were already at the skylight and about to escape.
Wednesday only grinned and even gave a cheeky wink.
It was customary for the Cats to split up after a job and would meet back up in the next few days, both carrying their share of the jewels.
Wednesday had the bad luck to run into Batman, who had pushed her against a wall upon a neighboring building’s roof. She struggled to escape, but he was too strong.
Batman knew there were new cat burglars in Gotham, a thorn in his side and he had used his own family jewels to lure them out. The costume was familiar, and he wondered why Catwoman would take on apprentices, as he had not seen her in sixteen years.
He tore off her domino mask, and he was shocked to see his mother’s cheekbone and lips with his eyes on the girl.
In his surprise, Wednesday took the opportunity to escape. She didn’t know why Batman was shocked to see what was under her mask, but she presumed he thought she would have been much older.
She didn’t really care as she got to her personal safehouse, a penthouse in one of Gotham’s most luxurious buildings. She snickered at the irony that she had just stolen from Bruce Wayne and was living in a building he owned.
She marveled at the heavy diamond necklace and got a wicked idea.
Xavier came to his lover’s abode, in a bit of a snit. He had removed his make up and wore a custom-tailored suit as he rode the elevator to the top floor. He had been given a key, a sign of trust and devotion to people in his line of work.
When he got to their bedroom, he was greeted with a sight that put a mad smile on his face.
It was Wednesday, completely bare except for the diamond necklace that nearly covered her chest and down to her navel as she sat against a mountain of pillows and crooked her finger for him to come. He crawled into bed with her, kissing from her feet up to her lips.
“You know, I was trying to steal that necklace for you,” he told her as he peppered kissed along her shoulder and neck, she impatiently tore at his clothes. “I wanted it to be a gift for our anniversary.”
“What I want for our anniversary is wearing too many layers,” she snarked at him as she pushed him to his back and straddled him.
He could never deny her anything, and they made love under the moonlight and the diamond necklace twinkling like stars as she rode him.
In the afterglow of their passions, she absently told him,
“I was almost capture by Batman tonight.”
“It would have been fun breaking you out of Arkham,” he knew he would never allow her to be captured for long.
“It was weird…he was shocked to see my face. I guess I’ll have to lay low for a while,” she gently caressed his collarbone, making clear what they would be doing all the time she had to be in hiding.
The next week, Xavier had always known his father, the Joker, was a mad man. Vincent Thorpe always gave a different reason why he had gone into villainy, even Xavier wasn’t sure why.
He normally had no issue with following his father’s orders, but that night there had been a hit out on Midnight of the Black Cats.
“Why?” he tried not to let panic bleed in his voice. No one knew of his relationship with Wednesday, it would be foolish to parade such weakness in their line of work. His own mother, Harley Quinn, was proof that it was dangerous to love a villain.
“Rumour has it, she’s the daughter of the Bat,” Vincent crackled madly.
If that rumour was true or at least known, then every gang in Gotham was out for Wednesday’s blood.
Xavier and Ajax, his partner in crime (literally and figuratively as they were best friends) rushed to the Black Cats to warn them.
They were met with a bloodbath and the four of them barely escaped with their lives.
Bruce Wayne always came when the Bat Signal was lit in the sky. Normally he was greeted by Commissioner Gordon, but this time he found the Black Cats and the Jesters, beaten and bloody, on the roof.
“Is it true?” the girl he had unmasked the night before asked with a split lip, “Are you my father?”
He sighed and could guess what happened. It seemed in his quest to find Selena for answers he had not been subtle or careful. He guessed beating up every last known of her contacts while in costume had tipped people off.
“Yes,” he said in his rough voice, he saw that the Jesters were protectively holding the Black Cats, and that they had protected each other when the criminal underworld found out he had a daughter.
He figured he owed them all sanctuary and removed his mask.
They gasped when they saw before them, Bruce Wayne.
“Are you fucking kidding me?” Ajax was the first to speak. “Playboy tech bro Bruce Wayne is Batman?!”
“I’d appreciate it if you didn’t literally shout that from the rooftop,” he said patiently, it was the most common reaction when people found out his identity. He just congratulated himself on creating such a convincing persona that no one could believe would be Batman.
He welcomed them all to Wayne Manor and introduced them to Nightwing and Robin.
The four former villains turned hero team called The Outcasts.
