like I had this thought!! what if Maomao feelings for Shisui and the aftermath of what happened to her makes her even more hesitant to accept Jinshi's feelings

like if Maomao's love for Shisui didn't save her, one could make the assumption that it wouldn't save Jinshi either!!!

like the love was there but it wasn't enough!!!

It will just reinforce Maomao belief that she as a lowly servant doesn't matter. that her love won't matter. it won't keep anyone safe

and that's what matters more to Maomao!!

she would rather have her loved one's safe than be loved herself

She would rather Jinshi be alive then returning Maomao's feelings and risking him having the same fate as Shisui!!!

keep in mind I've only watched the anime but I know some spoilers from the light novel but I haven't read it.

but like Shisui being self-sacrificial will make Maomao more self-sacrificial in order to protect the one's she loves!!

You’d patch him up after matches, help him calm down if he saw too much blood. Watched him go from the bottom to the top.

And then one day, after he’s done it all, he leaves. He says he’s going to find greener pastures, but promises to meet you again someday. And then later; maybe weeks, months, or years later. You meet him again, as the SoC’s Champion. And he still has the biggest crush on you that he finally has the confidence to confess to you… OUGH

he’d look for you during every match, making sure your eyes were on him. the underground fights were more for money, for those who had no other choice. at the time, lighter didn’t have any other choice but knowing you were in the crowd, cheering him on, made every bruise worth it.

but before he even made it to that point, he was barely climbing through the ranks. in the beginning, it was all for winning some extra dennies. then he went through his first loss and it came crumbling down on him. the blood running down his face, his hands were red and all he saw was red. his heart was thumping, a sharp pain in his head followed by a heavy fall to the ground was the last thing he remembered.

you rushed over to him when everyone else just stared at his body. immediately tending to him, bringing him to a safe zone, trying your best and hoping this wasn’t actually the end. after a while, his eyes slowly opened. his green iris and red pupils zeroing in on you as he tried sitting up. your face showed… worry? relief? he couldn’t tell, it was blurry but he knew it was you. it could only be you.

it was a few fights after this that he decided to move on from this life. it wasn’t worth seeing you concerned over his wellbeing, he didn’t want you to worry like that. without saying much, he packed up his things and left, whispers of his name followed behind him as his rivals found his departure strange, almost cowardly.

he made it clear that he didn’t want to recall his past, hence cutting off almost all sorts of connections with the ember arena. yet here he was, sitting at the other edge of the bar while you were chatting with burnice. would you still remember him? does his name haunt you like how your face and voice haunted him all this time? he loosens the red scarf on his neck, maybe you’ll remember why he has it in the first place.

even from afar, he feels something warm in his chest. maybe it’s the drink… maybe its the heat… you used to nag at him for not treating wounds right and not letting them heal. well now there’s a wound in his heart and he hopes you could patch that up.

Do you think Mayday's leadership skills and concern for his team reminded Crosshair just a little bit of Hunter?

Do you think Crosshair thought at all about the fact that Hunter and his other brothers had carried him off Kamino when his life was in danger after the Empire had left him behind, even after he had just held them hostage and tried to shoot Hunter with a rifle that was not set to stun?

Do you think Hunter's warning, "All you'll ever be to them is a number," went through his mind when Nolan did nothing to help Mayday and then berated Crosshair?

Do you think Crosshair maybe realized why Hunter being able to say "I did what I thought was right!" might be preferable to saying "We're soldiers, we do what needs to be done"?

...And then do you realize you're thinking way too much about "The Outpost" and it's making you really sad so you need to find something happy to watch?

It's always funny to me when in an lu fic the chain is offered bananas and don't accept them. Like, you're offering these high energy adventures free food?? Fruit they'll have never even heard of before??? A ridiculously expensive imported good at best?? AND it boosts your attack?

Not ONE of these idiots would ever turn down something new and interesting to eat at least once. They'd be all over those bananas and immediately get dubbed yiga and I'm honestly surprised no one has used it in a fic yet 🤭

At the start of this project all I wanted was to 'learn how to draw' using comics as a medium and the MDZS audio drama as inspiration.

I've come *very* far from making simple, 3 panel black and white comics, and I truly do intend to go even further. Thank you to everyone who cheered me on throughout 2023, it has been an incredible year in so many ways I never could have imagined. I look forwards to drawing throughout 2024 B*)

Day 3 of Medival Artober "Alchemy"

Moon took to learning alchemy from Y/N since they started living together, mostly just hovering over their shoulder and asking as many questions as possible. First it was just another way of staying close to Y/N but he really starts to like alchemy after some time.

my ACEN tip gimmick has been fulfilled, aaand i got a little carried away with it. I haven't had time to draw for myself (or at all, really??) in like two weeks, i needed to Doodle and Have Fun. ... also, i did not think he would get so many donuts. people understand the value of giving treats to fictional characters :) its what he deserves

The good thing about this being a weekly airing series is that I'll get to see pretty quickly if I'm on the mark with this but rn am thinking of how pre-amnesia seven was unreadable and so people presumed the worse. Like, we know this part already. His (relative) silence and lack of clear expression let people read into him what they thought fitting.

With post-amnesia seven meanwhile, one of his main characteristics is how *chatty* he is. Someone will charge at him and he'll start commentating.

So, like, now he's getting his memories *back* (albeit in dribs and drabs), the first thing we notice is the whole earnestly trying to murder some guys (as opposed to half-heartedly fighting and/or being on the defence the whole time). But, we actually see in his mind during this. We see that he's been instructed to react in this way. That he's literally superimposing skulls/monsters(?) over the Stan guys in his head (#healthy coping mechanisms). But he doesn't say anything to anyone there and they sure can't see into his mind and so all *they* see is an unleashed killing machine. He's back to not explaining himself.

And, it's just, they presume the worst this time too. Dai Bo, especially, is clearly wondering if he's going to lose the Seven he knows. And sure, we don't have the whole picture as the audience yet, but we can still see that Seven's first *action* after being set off was actually to *protect* the healer. It was only after he'd acted to save that he got swept into the bloodlust.

I'm guessing a lot of this season is going to be us watching Seven acting more like his pre-amnesiac self, but this time, we'll be getting the inside scoop on what's going on inside his brain. So as the audience, we can see how he's both his past and present (how his past was never as different as it seemed), but those around him won't get that insight. They'll be forced to trust in the bonds Seven built with them previously. And it'll either come down to them seeing through Seven to the root of his actions or to Seven actually being able to *communicate* this time, now he's actually been able to make connections of his own. Connections his past self was sorely lacking.

So at one point in an FAQ session, the game developer mentions that the sweet scent is all wish craft, and that time craft doesn't have a smell "but it does do something".

And, thinking about it, I suspect we know what that "something" is.

Wish craft is just described by the game dev as smelling sweet, but all the wish craft used in the game by the King and Siffrin is in combination with time craft, and it's specifically described as smelling like burnt sugar.

So if time craft doesn't have its own scent but does have an influence on the smell of wish craft, I think it's pretty likely that it's what produces the "burnt" effect, changing the normal sugar smell to a burned one.

I wonder if combining time craft with other kinds of crafts also results in a "heated up" version of the usual smell? Like, would combining time craft and paper craft smell like burning paper? Or combining it with scissors get you the smell of molten metal? Could be interesting!
