Whenever people talk about inter-racial/ethnic relationships amongst POC with white people it seems like peoples sex is overlooked in these dynamics which is unfortunate because it really is such an important aspect in the way these relationships are perceived and function.

Like for example I see some MOC complaining and calling out WOC for having internalized racism for idolizing and dating white men (which is true and valid) but they would never judge a fellow MOC who ends up with a white woman as a trophy to the same extent. I can't help but think that this is another case of men not being at the top of the male hierarchy, in which sexual desirability is important, so they will complain that "their" woman don't want them when if they had hoards of white women throwing themselves at them they'd be absolutely thrilled and brag about it.

But because WOC across all races/ethnicities are seen as more desirable than MOC in general and can "date out", it's just another outlet for moids to express their sexual frustration and jealousy. When I see MOC think that they're experiences with "internalized racism" (especially concerning beauty standards) is the same as WOC of their ethnic group, I can't help but scoff because it's always these same men who will harshly criticize their female counterparts for their appearance because they are women. As MOC, because they are male they would never be subject to the same racially charged beauty standards as women so for them to complain about not being ~desirable~ is rich.

Like sure there might be a problem with WOC and their white worshipping (that's another topic altogether) but I'm not gonna pretend to be blind to the fact that there's Moids of Color hiding behind acting so concerned with internalized racism, to see that they are raging at being seen as less desirable compared to white men, their sexual competition. After all you so see men in the manosphere who complain about "female privileged" because women get approached harrassed by men.

Plus, you can see somehow see that MOC don't actually give a damn about racism when they themselves will treat women like objects and "promote" and brag about "their" women to other men as a brand, which I don't really see women of any ethnic group doing everrr. There is also very little talk from MOC about how WOC are fetishized by white men and it's always how they're are portrayed in some less than flattering way by white men in western media.

Yor thinks Wheeler is the wrestler patient who stalked Loid to his home and wants to kill him

He's still injured from his fight with Nightfall so Yor sees the bandages around his head and arm and thinks 'holy shit this guy escaped a clinic to beat up my husband'

Anyway, Yor senses that Wheeler isn't to be taken lightly but Wheeler just freezes in the doorway, thinking he could intimidate this short woman into selling out her fake husband

Instead he senses this omnipotent killing intent radiating in radioactive waves from Yor

He just barely dodges a knife thrown right beside his ear. "What the-"

Yor:"I'm sorry, I know you're sick and a patient of my husband's, but nobody is allowed to hurt my family!"

It's not even 30min later that the police and two ambulances arrive. Loid is called home, he thinks something happened to Yor and Anya as soon as Sylvia contacted him about Wheeler escaping prison.

What Loid finds instead is Yor drinking tea with the paramedics and police, getting questioned how she manhandled a +6ft tall man with the strength of a bull on steroids and crack.

The whole team of paramedics and policemen are in shock when Yor flung herself at Loid (and Loid managed to stay on his feet). Loid is in shock bc he sees a suspiciously person shaped form on a stretcher covered by a white sheet in their living room.

Loid:"Wh- Is he-?!"

Paramedic:"Oh no, we managed to resuscitate him. We covered him to prevent you from...having to see the state he's in."

first day scootering to work & got here waaaaayyyyy earlier than anticipated. oh well. i like being a scooter guy because so many people go You Know Those Things Are So Dangerous Right and instead of strangling them to death for being annoying, i can whip out my functionally infinite reasons for hating rental electric scooters and it always defeats them completely. and I love it every time. like i'm very feminine and i like being feminine and being a girl and i don't wish i was born as a boy or perceived as one (i think) but i truly am comfortable with people using any (and i mean ANY) pronouns when refering to me

i know gender ≠ pronouns but i know im not cis. and genderfluid doesn't quite fit either. and i tried demigirl for a long time and it didn't click either. as did nonbinary, and i've been trying to learn more labels to see if there is any that fits me

lately i've been thinking about the label genderqueer, although saying i'm under the trans umbrella seems to fit quite nicely so far

i also know that i don't HAVE to find a label, but i like having one. it makes me feel valid (not saying that people who don't use labels aren't valid! that's just how i feel about my identity) and like... real, if it even makes sense

моя знакомая, с которой мы вместе собираемся туда пойти, говорит, что сама она бы не красилась, но если ее друзья и родные увидят ее ненакрашенную на фотографиях с церемонии, то они ее заклюют.  

обидно, что именно женщины настаивают на соблюдении данного статус-кво. парни, наоборот, очень прогрессивно отвечают: “делай, что хочешь”.

как по мне, в словах “смокинг или вечернее платье в пол” я что-то не углядела сноски мелким шрифтом: “ах да, и женщины, родненькие, не пугайте народ, заштукатурьте лицо ради всего святого 🙏”. и чем больше меня пытаются уговорить, что это не так, тем сильнее мне становится жаль этих людей.

Tldt: OPs Dr Pepper exploded in their face on the reg because they were too afraid of making soup

in grade 6 and every time we had a movie day or class party id ask my mom for a can of doctor pepper but i had to keep it in my backpack and it always got shaken up and would explode when i opened it bcus we all know dr pepper has much more chaos inside the can than any other soda and anyways my whole class instinctively knew every time that my doctor pepper would explode and we'd have to pause the movie and clean it up and id usually be covered in dr pepper for the rest of the day and be super embarrassed and this happened to me about twelve times throughout the year. you might be wondering why i couldnt keep my dr pepper in my locker until we watched the movie and its because i didnt have a locker in grade six after i left a piece of pumpkin pie that my teacher gave me in there for a month and it rotted and molded so bad and there were maggots everywhere so one day i locked the locker and refused to open it ever again so for a whole year i carried all my stuff around because i was afraid to go to admin and tell them about my maggot pie because someone started a rumor that if the principle figured out you did something bad she would lock you down in the basement storage room that was infamous for having a giant rat that lived inside of it and i was afraid of rats after seeing ratatouille because i thought a rat might climb inside my hair and start controlling me and force me to do things i didnt want to do like make soup

People should really start thinking before talking, or at the very least understand how a TTRPG works.

No, not every person they encounter should be build as if it was a PC. I don't remember anyone being bothered in my years that a Beholder should only have ability's similar to PC and Lucien is in a similar boat.

While he IS a blood hunter and has the BH ability's , he is also someone who somehow was chosen by some fucked up aberant floating city.

Giving NPC's unique and more powerful ability's makes them a scary and interesting, and they should be scary if they have an antagonistic role in the story.

His ability's SHOULD be unique. Immagine if the final boss in the campaign was just a LV20 warrior. Not very exciting. Vecna was not just a strong wizard, he was a god with unique powers that no pc could ever reach.

The important thing is to hint to these powers if they outside of the scope of the player's, and Matt has done a lot with Lucien, considering that he killed Ves probably while using his Beholder-Like eye, so it should never be a surprise that he can dispell magic like he does.

Tldt. Just because a creature is a humanoid it doesn't mean that he should be bound to class levels.

I feel all conversations about how Lucien does what he does and trying to map it to or make it fit inside strict mechanical class parameters needs to remember:
