wait i might be dumb but is the one thing that all the externals have in common is the focus on children? like mr bonzo is literally a corrupted tv mascot, needles could stem from a lot of kids being scared of needles, heinrich unheimlich being a haunted toy/toymaker. ink5oul and lady mowbray are a bit of a stretch but i mean what kid wouldn't be terrified by a twisted game of hide and seek?? also kids tend to draw on themselves like tattoos right so like they'd be creeped out of the drawings on their skin started changing

Heinrich Unheimlich is one of the first externals we have met so far that has made me so profoundly shocked AAHUHB it’s wonderful

you mean to tell me he feeds off fear by choosing children who are cruel and unforgiving and having them spread his tale, of which these token children tend to change to their own sadistic pleasures and then morphing his being and workshop to adjust to these changes in the story and assigning an evil parent-hungry toy to each storyteller that will then go and enact great violence infront of the kids who truely did not believe in him? that is fucking amazing

he isn’t even a total monster, he said it himself he doesn’t really wanna kill kids since he wouldn’t benefit from it, he is respectful towards alice and sets clear boundaries towards anyone that dared to push them (COUGH COUGH DAYNE) he even brought a chair specifically for colin, he doesn’t get anything out of being malicious towards those who genuinely just want a moment of his time and so treats them as a guest and that is fucking brilliant

long story short i love heinrich unheimlich and i hope he is in every episode moving forward

I fully believe Nigel has nothing but bonzo merch, even in his kitchen cupboards, bonzo mugs and teacup sets galor. The only thing that hasn't been tainted by the mascot is his bed robe. He refuses to wear anything else.

Needles and Bonzo would get along surprisingly well! Secretly though, Needles is a fair bit scared of Bonzo, but his desire to look crazy and tough/scary helped him ignore his own fear.

Lady Mowbray finds Bonzo and Needles unpleasant and unprofessional, so she sticks around Nigel as well as the fact they are both the old people in the room.

Ink5oul's snake tattoo is inspired after Bitis nasicornis, more commonly known as the Rhinoceros Viper!

Nigel, reluctantly, acts as the voice for the O.I.A.R and its his and Lady M's job to breakdown what Ink5oul and Needles can and can't do as externals.

Ofc, it's at Nigel's house to hide and protect the O.I.A.R. Lady M knows how to get to the O.I.A.R ofc but she has a curiosity to see how long the O.I.A.R can really keep Ink5oul and Needles on a leash.

All headcanon ofc lol xD may or may not make a follow up of the wacky stuff that could be discussed. This AU will be tagged "an external meeting".

I decided that Alice going cuckoo after Sam's death in the Archives universe is a sign that Protocol Alice should be with Gwen and not go back to Sam. You got a healthy relationship during the apocalypse and when your partner dies your done for. You go through the horrors with your toxic gay coworker and you go to whatever universe together.

Plus Gwen would make her so mad that she would snap out of any dreamy realm.

the way sam could have been so close to becoming an avatar, the chosen one, from the magnus institute, manchester but he wasn't. this time we're looking at the perspective of someone who could have been and is now taking that could have and making it a definitely, out of their own free will, as opposed to jon who was forced into his role every step of the way.
