“I look stupid, Mike.”

“Nah, bro you look great!” Raph’s younger brother is looking his outfit up and down, trying to perfect any wrinkles or stray threads, “She’s gonna love it, trust me.”

Raph scuffs his new air force’s on the cement, while the other turtle straightens the collar of the graphic tee up around his neck. Maybe he could lend his fashionable little brother a bit of slack. Mikey knew a lot more about this stuff.

It’s early August. Summer’s fleeting, to warm days and cooler nights, which are perfect for this exact occasion.

Raph has been a mess of fluttering nerves all week trying to set this date up, with the help of his brothers and April. Every little detail, meticulously planned.

At first he was gonna do it on his own, in secret. Come to your door, trip over his words and fumble the bag, because lord knows he’s not good with expressing his feelings.

Thank god for April and his siblings, though it hurt his ego a little to come to them and admit he didn’t know how to set up a lousy dinner. Of course they were happy to help. Mikey and April especially.

So now, the five of them were on the roof of your apartment complex and pulling together all of their different tastes and ideas to create this adorable little date for him and his girl.

Raphael didn’t know what the two of you were. After that bizarre (albeit fantastic) first kiss, his visits to you were so much more frequent. Even if it was quick, he’d make a pit stop to your window for a peck on the cheek that kept his spirits up for a long night's patrol. More often than not, you two would be chatting away in the late night hours. And then of course make out a little, with him hanging on the sill like a fool.

It was so great, and it filled Raph with something he didn’t know he needed. Every second he wasn’t with you, he counted down till the next time he'd meet your gorgeous face again, greeting him with a kind, welcoming smile that made his knees wobble. But that was it.

There wasn’t really a label. Not that he liked those anyway.

He just needed some clarity. Some sort of outwardly spoken agreement that you guys weren’t just really good friends who kissed and held hands and tried to hold in your laughter in the dark, trying not to disturb the peace of your neighbors.

“Oh this looks great.”

Raph watches the way April appreciates her work of a cute little vase of flowers on the center of a table, hands settled on her hips. Well, it’s less of a table than it is a large wooden crate with a nice-ish tablecloth, but it serves just the same. It’s not too extravagant, not too drab. Just right. It suits the mix of your different lives. Little, dollar store candles light the area with a warm haze, next to the tin containers filled with the meal you’d taught him to make months ago. He’s hoping it tastes as good as it did when you make it. Raph hasn’t told you how often he whips it up at the lair when he’s missing you.

“How’s lookout, Leo?”

The blue-banded turtle looks over his shoulder, where he’s crouched on the ledge right next to the fire escape ladder.

“All clear.”

Thankfully, everything seems to be coming together just as Raph wanted it to. It settles some of the butterflies that rage in his stomach. The time for one of his brother’s to go and fetch you from your apartment is growing closer and closer while Donnie is scooting the plastic folding chairs next to the crate.

He’s so not ready for this. A little voice is nagging in the back of his head to just back out now.

Raph knows you’ll at least like it. Just how you like everything else he does for you. He has no clue why this is so damn difficult.

“Alright, Raph.”

April clasps her hands together and looks up to him for approval.

“What do we think?”

He thinks it looks great. Raphael loves the gentle little glow everything gives against the dim light pollution that stretches out over the city. Will you?

“You’re a lifesaver, O’Niel.”

“Don’t forget it.”

He snorts.

“I guess it’s showtime then!”

Mikey attacks his older brother with a hug from behind.

“Aw come on Mike!” Raph’s trying to swat him off his shell, but not before his two other siblings, and April crowd him with an embrace, that eases the nerves running rampant. He rolls his eyes, but can’t hold back the grateful grin that breaks through his annoyance. Their words are encouraging and warm, fueling the confidence he’s so desperately been trying to grasp for all this time.

“You’re gonna be fine.”

“Trust us, she is gonna love it.”

Leo’s hand ruffles over Raph’s red bandanna.

“Go get em’, tiger.”

Ouf, what a cornball.

“Alright, alright!” They all break away from the group hug with excited smiles. This is home to Raphael. All his favorite people- well, most - in his corner of the ring and hyping his happy-ass up to romance a cute girl.

“Leo?”

“I’ll go get her for you.”

Your apartment is warm. Over the weeks, the walls are filled with picture frames and cute decor that April and the boys have been bringing you. Polaroids of you and the boys are littered on your bedside table and posted on the fridge with little paw print magnets. Most of them are with or of Raph. Him sleeping with an open mouth, or being dog-piled on by Mike and Donnie. Your favorite is the one where you’re sitting on his shoulders, laughing, while he’s grinning into the camera flash. April took it, down in the lair, where he was parading you around after everyone had a few-too-many drinks. The once empty living space is now full of life and love and sooo, so many cat toys.

You’re on the livingroom floor now, playing with sweet Vannie to distract you from the lack of texts from your best friend. It’s been worrying you all day, that Raph hasn’t responded to any of your messages, even the funny memes, like the others you send him daily.

You’d given up on the last message, a little over an hour ago, though it doesn’t keep you from repeatedly glancing at your phone while your cat darts after the laser pointer across the carpet and onto the sofa. The little bell on her collar tinks quickly with each movement. She sees someone through your window before you. Two taps against the glass make your head whip around excitedly.

It’s not who you’re expecting, but Leo’s visit is still a nice surprise.

“Hey Lee!” You hide the disappointment with a happy smile that he returns.

“How’s it going?”

“Good! Good,” he doesn’t miss the way you’re trying to peek over his shoulder, “Have you heard from Raph at all? I couldn’t get a hold of him today.”

“Actually yeah.”

This perks your attention right back up, locking with his eyes that carry a mischievous glow.

“Oh! How’s he doing? He didn’t get hurt on patrol, did he?”

Leo chuckles.

“Nah. He’s been busy.”

Busy? Weird. Even if Raphael were kicking sorry ass, he’d text you back in a heartbeat. Something fishy was going on.

“Oh. Huh.”

“You wanna see him?”

That, you couldn’t say no to.

“Is he here?”

Leo knows, with the way you two talk about each other, that it’s love. He knows more than both of you. It's so funny how his younger brother and you will spend hours at a time just sitting in silence or talking about life, and then when you’re apart, all that one of you can think or say has something to do with the other.

“He’s up top,” his head gestures back up the fire escape. You’re already climbing out the window, while he and Vannie stare. Lee takes a hold of your arm when your foot reaches that first step. You look back at him with a puzzled stare.

“You gotta close your eyes.”

“What?”

It’s a surprise. That makes you nervous.

“Just trust me. I’ll take you up there, you just can’t look.”

Uh oh. You’re hesitant to follow his instructions, but his hand is already blinding your vision, and he’s scooping you of your feet. You shout in surprise.

“Leo, what’s going on?”

The only reply you recieve is his heavy footfall on the metal stairs. He has to take his hand away, but you keep your eyes clenched shut, partially to obey his order, but the other is so you don’t have to see how far up you might be from the ground below.

“This is freaking me out Lee,”

“I’m not gonna drop you.”

“That’s not what I’m talking about.”

Oh, he knows. He’s just great at keeping secrets.

The final, thudding footstep lands on concrete, and he sets you on the ground, steadying you onto your feet. Your breath is nervous, heart racing, senses heightened. You can hear the buzz of the city off in the distance. A cool breeze brush through your hair. The concrete scraping on your wooly socks.

“Alright, take a look.”

Your eyes blink open. Then again. Your brain isn’t processing whatever is in front of you, until he speaks.

“Hey, Sunshine.”

Raph’s hands are shoved into the front pockets of jeans you’ve never seen him in. They’re new. So are his shoes, and the black, long sleeve tee that’s perfectly tailored to fit, and let his shell still breathe from the back. The casual clothes are incredibly flattering on him. You can still see the faint lines of his toned muscles under the cotton, catching in soft light. He’s so handsome, it hurts. And cute. GOD was he cute.

Shifting his weight, subtly from one foot to the other and smiling, anxious and bashful, while you stare at him in bafflement. Behind him is an adorable, candle lit dinner and your favorite flowers in a glass vase, all tuned with the ambient sounds of New York.

“Oh, Raph.”

His name comes out in a sigh, incredulous, full of shock and wonder. You take a few steps forward to better take in the effort he’s thrown into all of this. You’re nearly speechless, breathless, and trying to swallow the lump in your throat. He set up a date. A date! For you!

“You like it?”

His eyes are hesitant, but full of a childlike hope when they meet yours.

“Raph, this is… you did this?”

“Well, I had help. I ain’t this creative.” Raph chuckles nervously, nodding to where Leo was standing, now gone without a trace, “But… yeah.”

“For… me?”

You’re still so surprised at the sweetness of it all.

“Well, I’d hate to be up here eatin chicken and rice by myself all night, so yeah.”

He’s easing up, gentle grin mirroring yours.

“Raph this is so great!”

Like a kid, you all but skip over to look closer at the make-shift table and chicken and rice in their bowls, stream rolling off in the tepid air, while your fingers over the tablecloth. He’s laughing at your stupidly huge smile.

“I was hoping you might think so.”

You look up at him, face glowing in the candlelight.

“I know I haven’t been texting you back. Been a nervous wreck all day.”

His expression contorted into a soft gout of admiration, a soft smile, and even softer, green eyes. Your heart leaps. You know what that look is. You’ve seen it so many times in Raph’s face and now you’re putting it all together while he stands just feet from you. He’s so perfect.

You stride back over to him and let him take your hands in his. He’s nervous again, taking a deep breath.

“Look,” he begins, “I just… I figured if we’re a thing and all…Well, I wanna do this the right way. I hope it’s alright with you. I know it’s nothin’ fancy but…”

He groans, slapping hand over his face. You giggle at how he trips over his sentence.

“I had a whole, stupid speech for this shit. Now I just look like a fuckin’ idiot.”

Those fumbling, nervous words speak novels to you. He doesn’t have to say much for you to just get exactly what Raph is trying to say.

“I think… that sounds great,” your voice is soft, “And I also think I’m in love with you and I have had no idea what to do with myself, since the first day we met.“ you exhale the words like they’ve been trying to claw their way from your throat.

This catches him completely off guard. Raph’s eyes are as wide as they were the first night you kissed him. His nostrils flare. Before you think you’ve fucked yourself up royally, he pulls you up towards him in a soul-snatching kiss that depletes the air from your lungs, feet nearly leaving the ground. You’re desperately grabbing at the collar of his shirt to deepen it, but he pulls away, and lifts you completely from the ground in a tight embrace, leaving you both gasping for your breaths.

“Jesus, you have no idea how long I’ve been waitin’ to hear you say that,” Raph sighs next to your ear. “I love ya. A lot.”

His arms tighten further around you and you smell a nice cologne in the crook of his neck, where your head is buried.

He sets you back to your feet and lifts your chin with his finger for a much more gentle, passionate kiss, that you accept happily. His hand rests gently on your hip.

“You’re the best thing that coulda ever happened to a weirdo like me,” Raph’s forehead is pressed down against yours, with closed eyes.

“You’re better,” you counter. He gives your hip a squeeze, “Let’s be something. Even if it’s hard.”

He chuckles.

“Nothin’ I can’t handle, Sunshine.”

You’re both right where you belong, centimeters away from each other, smiling like idiots, and finally off that steep cliff that’s been taunting you for months. Raph is your home, and you’re his, far out of that little kitchen window.

A Polaroid click behind you just makes you shake your head with a flustered grin.

“Mikey, are you shittin me right now?”

You can hear his little brother shuffle back into whatever shadow he came from, laughing along with the rest of the party that's hidden away.

“Fuckin idiot.”

i cannot get over how absolutely terrible the bayverse transformers movies are because like. imagine if the 2014 teenage mutant ninja turtles movie was THE most popular media to come out of tmnt. imagine if it was a box office hit. imagine if it got so popular that they would not stop making movies like it until it ran itself into the ground with how terrible they were and ultimately the franchise screeched to halt because of how terrible the last movie was despite plans to make like a dozen more movies for it.

imagine if the only media people talk about with teenage mutant ninja turtles was the live action movie and all other tmnt media is compared to it and nobody seems to be able to let it go despite everyone knowing it's awful. and then producers and directors and fans try to connect every alternate universe or reboot to the live action movie because of nostalgia they had for it at the age of like, age 6 or some shit and there's a cyclical nature of critics and twitter users suddenly deciding the movies are actually high art compared to the most recent reboots or some shit.

and the thing is is that there IS better media for it but nobody wants to talk about it because it's not a blockbuster that grossed a trillion dollars and endorsed the military and had a thousand bad explosion shots and aspect ratios. and of course it is wildly racist and sexist. and nobody can let it fucking die.

I love the box art for the older DVD releases of the 2003 TMNT show. I was disappointed that they edited the scene where Hamato Yoshi's spirit sliced Tengu Shredder in half. Some scenes in some of the episodes had a weird blurring effect. Some of these OOP box sets are a bit expensive if you're looking to get them in the best condition possible but it's totally worth it though. Turtles Forever in the Ultimate Collection box set wasn't the uncut version either sadly. At least they did release the uncut version in the UK. Nice to own my favourite TMNT show with everything intact.

I bought some of the volumes too because they had special features on them like interviews with Peter Laird. The Australian and UK releases of Vol: 6 Shredder Strikes Back had an alternate ending for the episode 'The King'.

Nice to have all of the 1987 and 2012 episodes on DVD too. I wish they did Blu-ray releases for 1987, 2003 and 2012. That Japanese OVA was a bit random lol

Even have Next Mutation in the collection despite the majority of TMNT fans hating it. I grew up with it so I have a soft spot for it lol Can't wait for the 4K release of the 1990 movie which I think is coming next year. TMNT 2014 and OOTS look good on 4K. Batman vs TMNT looks awesome on 4K too.

I wish they would do an official complete series Blu-ray release of Rise and for the movie too. The artwork on the 4K Mutant Mayhem steelbok looks cool too.

Maybe… just maybe we all grew out of a phase. I won’t say grow up because it was never about being grown. It was about escape. What, where, why we were escaping was irrelevant. Whatever that phase was…. Holy fuck it was good. I know the Bayverse fandom is very slim and it literally hurts to watch it crumble but I was one of the fortunate ones who got to see it in the height of its glory days. To my Bayverse peeps, I love you all so very much.

*cracks knuckles* oh, this'll be fun!! welcome to the fold! this is in no particular order, even though i'm still going to plug my all time favourite one first:

Silk and Steel by katanashipping: This is the first leosagi fic I ever read and the one that has haunted me since I first read it in 2014. Rereading it is actually what kickstarted my latest round of tmnt obsession. It's an alternate retelling of s4 and oh, it is so good. The ending scene... *chefs kiss*

In Between Worlds by Koalagriton: I read this one recently and it was so good... A series of drabbles about them reuniting at the next Battle Nexus. The last chapter is my favourite - the fic is kinda bittersweet but I love it to death.

In Circles by Garden_Guardian: A really nice and sweet fix-it fic for the capril wedding where Leo and Usagi actually TALK to each other instead of ignoring each other like awkward exes following Samurai Tourist. Includes some really adorable fanart attached!

Approval by hostofhorus999: A classic 5 times + 1 times fic - this time Usagi getting blessings from Leo's family to propose!!! It's so fucking sweet.

Operation Matchmaker 2: Electric Boogaloo by GreenGoddessSmoothie: A classic 'brothers trying to get leosagi together' tale. Shenanigans ensue, it's great, I laughed super hard.

Operation Elopement 2: Electric Boogaloo by GreenGoddessSmoothie: A direct sequel but about them getting eloped!! It's really cute, made me really emotional.

Fewer Things Forgotten by kay_cricketed: I only recently found out about this one (livejournal was slightly before my time lol) but it's a leosagi fic in 50 sentences and ohh it's so good. I initially wasn't sure if I'd enjoy this style of one-sentence stories but it pulled some real emotions out of me!!

The next three are multi-chaptered and pretty wordy but I still recommend:

Dragon of the Sun by ForestWhisper3: Okay so technically this is a Mikey-centric fic but the leosagi in it is so good I had to include it. It's a retelling of the Ultimate Drako arc featuring mystic!Mikey and it's a lot of fun. The leosagi parts are in chapters 5+6 but PLEASE read the whole thing it's super good and I'm kinda obsessed.

The Tortoise and the Hare by AmevelloBlue: REQUIRED READING (/j). This fic is super good. It recontextualises all leosagi episodes in 2k3, adds in missing scenes and then spins off into a really cool climax featuring Jei and it's just - super good. Loved it. Reread it three times already.

No Room For Dying by Amevello Blue: Direct sequel to Tortoise and Hare. This is the Ninja Tribunal arc we deserved honestly. Really highlights how shitty the tribunal is, Usagi slots into the plot seamlessly, it explores Usagi's own trauma from UJ which I really appreciated, the relationship drama is perfect and... yep. Just a really solid read. I'm going to do my third reread once I hit season 5 on my rewatch.

finally, i am not above plugging my own fics... i recently wrote one for tmnttober from usagi's pov where he's celebrating tanabata with the hamato family and trying to keep his crush on leo under wraps: climb up to my view, see the world in my shoes

6) yes!! So. Much. But also not nearly enough lmao. I have a couple funko pops, an orb shaped Raph plush I affectionately call Fat Raph, t shirts, a poster, comics, dvds, some tupperware (listen it was 2014 and I was big into hyperfixation mode, my mom knew that, and she bought me some 2k12 tupperware containers lol, most are gone I think i only have one or two left), plus a ton of fan merch =^-^= oh and my favorite, Burger King Leonardo (2007 movie tie in toy)

(the LPS rabbit is his wife Petunia. I had elaborate plots and marriages and family trees going on with my toys as a kid (no I did not ship leosagi, this is just the funniest possible coincidence))

13) augh this is a tough one!!! I really like what each version of Michelangelo brings to the table in terms of changing up the Mikey status quo and as individuals. I openly admit I'm biased always in favor of 2k3 bc that series is so dear to me, but if Rise had been able to see its full potential rise Mikey would definitely be a contender for #1. He's so charming and multifaceted! (All mikeys are but he's got a scrunkly quality to him)

17) again, tough choice with a heavy 2k3 bias. Especially in the first season of 2k3 he was a terrifying force, unknown, powerful, and with a killer aura. Like 2k12 has a great voice and evil machinations, to be sure, and 87 shredder is iconic ofc, but honestly not much can top the shadowed cowl and glowing red eyeslits from 2k3. The whole design reeks of power and intimidation, and as a child I remember getting goosebumps when he came onscreen those first few times

Rise Shredder again is a top choice for me bc again, the sheer aura. Fuck yes. Terrifying villain and I desperately wish we'd gotten more development. Rise is so excellent and I love it dearly but it was so badly shafted that it feels like it's left with gaping holes, bc it was. This wasn't supposed to be a rise rant but ig it is now lmao

Alternative TMNT 2014 movie with diffrent direction

How could have done TMNT 2014 right instead of wrong and first of follow source material for exempel:

Mix ingredients with Mirage, Archie, Idw and TMNT 2003.

1. Origin

Hamato Yoshi (Splinter) was good student and Oroki Nagi was not good student but he is jealus of Hamato Yoshi because he going to be leader of Saburo clan after Saburo and Nagi want to kill Yoshi for that. Nagi has tracked her down outside of art museum in Tokyo and he want to end her life because he want master Saburo to suffer lost his daughter but he and Hamato Yoshi is right time to save Shen from Nagi.

Hamato Yoshi want take duel but Saburo told him that it is my battle not his.

Battle ended with both stabbed each other but Nagi surved not Saburo and now Nagi is in coma.

Hamato Yoshi (Splinter) hug Tang Shen told her that sorry about her father and now they travel to america in New York.

Instead of Chester Manson that drop turtles it is Tang Shen in this version.

Idea that Saburo could be Tang Shen's father and idea with surname Arochī from name Archie like Archie comics and was married to Tang Mai but passed away.

Take inspireration from Batman begins and Rumble in the Bronx with Hamato Yoshi (Splinter) origin.

All TMNT Shredder’s Revenge Color References - Karai

Been playing Shredder’s Revenge recently due to the new dlc and since I haven’t seen much discussion in terms of references the new dlc, I decided to look into a lot of it myself. This is just Karai’s colors for now and definitely isn’t complete (updated: I have done all the characters by now, check out the bottom of my post for links to all the other posts), but feel free to give me any additional info you might know and I hope you enjoy checking this out.

I wanted to add numerous move references as well, but I don’t think I’d be able to put enough pictures for that and colors so it’ll probably be a different post.

# 1 - Default - AFAIK, Karai hasn’t actually appeared in the 1987 show nor related media (besides Tournament Fighters), so I think this is a new design.

# 2 - Mirage Shredder Outfit - In the mirage run, Karai at one point did don the Shredder outfit which shares a similar color scheme in colored depictions of Mirage characters. Since practically every version of Karai also having some heavy links to the Shredder story wise, it makes a lot of sense that she would have a Shredder pallet.

# 3 - 2007 Movie? - There’s a lot of different things I think this could be a reference to, including Foot Soldiers in general, the IDW design, the 2014/2016 movie Karai, the older 2003 design etc. Slot 3 seems to be for the 1990 movie designs for most of the cast, so as the 2007 movie debatably shares the same universe as the 90’s movies, I think that would make a lot of sense, although she has even less red on her than this in-game color.

# 4 - 2003 Show - This slot seems to be universally for the 03 show and it appears to also be the case for Karai. The blue is quite pronounced compared to Karai in most of the earlier seasons she appeared in, so either it’s supposed to be based on the S7 design or they just wanted to make it more visually distinct.

# 5 - 2012 Show (Mutant) - This one was confusing me for a while as I haven’t actually watched all of 2012 yet, but I have seen enough to recognize her standard design which this almost definitely isn’t. Slot 5 seems to be mostly for the 2012 designs however, so I looked more into it and found out she did turn into a purple and white snake which seems to fit.

# 6 - Tournament Fighters Genesis - This slot seems to generally be reserved for the Rise variations of characters (specifically the turtles, Splinter and Casey), but Karai’s surprisingly isn’t (nor does that color seem to be anywhere in this game). I do like this color variant though.

Also worth noting that I don’t think any of her colors reference the alternate pallet for the Genesis Karai. While an alternate pallet exists, from what I know, she wasn’t playable in the original release of the Genesis version so I don’t think there was any way to see the alternate pallet legitimately (it is available in the Cowabunga Collection however).

# 7 - Tournament Fighters SNES (Alt) - Don’t know why her Alt is listed first when you have all the colors, but it seems to be.

# 9 - Aska? - This is by far what I’m most stumped on. The red and gold seems close enough and I can kinda see the blue/purple on Aska as white for her gameplay sprites, but a lot of other art involving Aska tends to display that clothing as a clear purple or blue. I haven’t been able to figure out any other potential reference for this however.

# 10 - Mirage Comics - The original TMNT Comics produced by Mirage were produced in black and white, which this design reflects. 

If you have the dlc, this is quite clear given that the survival mode included a “Mirage” dimension which is black-and-white, alongside many waves having comic book panels.

# 11 - NES (General) - AFAIK, Karai never actually appeared in a NES TMNT game, but the simple color pallet and the fact that other characters have actual NES color pallets they’ve used before in their 2nd-to-last color slot.

12 - Gameboy - Essentially the same situation as the NES color.

Meaning: It’s a French name, meaning “Lamb”. Often people assume that because it looks and sounds a bit like Rachel it is the same name and the same meaning, but this is not so. The name Rachel is in Hebrew for female sheep or ewe and, although it is the root name for Rachelle, they do have differing meanings. Often people need to be reminded that the extra ‘I’ and ‘e’ are not just for decoration.

Age: This all takes into the TMNT 2014/2016 timeline in this au I have made April and Casey a bit older so it would mean that April was with the baby turtles at the time even longer, as Rachel starts at 15 years old in 2014 film, later on, she is 17 years old during the 2016 film (As the film is declared to be two years after the first one), and 18 years old on the aftermath of the 2016 film; Future AU aftermath they would be in their 20s.

Personality: Rachel is a nice person by default, April and Casey showed her how to care a lot for her family and friends, she was bullied at a very young age (4-5 years old) but she didn’t let it get to her (until 6-7th grade) as her best friends (Masami, Taliana, Leah, Millyanna, and Oliver) where there for her as she would be there for them. She respects everyone (especially Splinter and her parents) unless they lose that respect because she WILL show the same attitude to that person.

But she also brings herself down if she can’t understand a situation which makes her panic and have extreme anxiety because she doesn’t want to let anyone down. She has a very good memory as she can remember things at the age of 2 years old and at times it scares Casey because she says it with high details, April got used to it since Rachel helps her with her reports and would say the most random things that may or may not concern others.

Her anxiety has made it difficult for her to connect with people (especially when she met the turtles) and whenever it has to do with a project at school, she’ll panic for days but it all goes away when she is reminded that she can do it. If someone gets her in a bad mood, she’ll lose it and start being rude to others around her so at times she just stays in her bedroom so she won’t hurt anyone with her words (later on her powers that were getting out of control).

She has always wanted a relationship with her special someone, who turned out to be a huge, short-tempered turtle. She still loves him, though, as she has found ways to calm him down. She has become more open to him and the other turtles and talks as if they have known each other since childhood. As time passes, she’ll always have them as her family and forever be grateful for them all.

Later on, when she found out about Rachel’s powers; she felt like Rachel didn’t trust her to even explain to her which led them to have a huge argument and they didn’t talk to each other for days until Rachel found out she was in jail because of the turtles breaking into police headquarters; they regain their trust in each other and start to have that mother-daughter relationship that they started with

Key Dynamic: A loving but firm mother who refuses to let her daughter doubt herself.

Leonardo: Leo would be a pillar of stability in Rachel’s life. As someone who understands pressure and responsibility, he’d see a bit of himself in her struggles with anxiety. He’d encourage her to breathe, focus, and take things one step at a time whenever she panics. When Rachel doubts herself, Leo reminds her of how much she’s already overcome. He’d also respect that she doesn’t give out trust easily and would patiently let her open up in her own time. Rachel, in turn, would help Leo let loose once in a while, reminding him that it’s okay to take breaks and not always be the one in charge.

Key Dynamic: A mentor-like guide who helps her find confidence, while she reminds him to embrace life beyond leadership.

Raphael: As Rachel’s love interest, Raph would struggle with balancing his protectiveness and personal temper. He wouldn’t always know how to handle her anxiety, especially when she spirals into self-doubt, but over time, he’d learn to be patient and reassuring instead of just telling her to “toughen up.” Rachel, on the other hand, would be one of the few people who can calm Raph down when he gets angry. She’d have ways to soothe him when he’s frustrated, whether through gentle words, physical contact, or simply knowing when to let him cool off. Raph would also be fiercely protective of Rachel, even when she doesn’t need it. If anyone disrespects or hurts her, his first instinct would be to throw hands—but Rachel’s presence would remind him to handle things more maturely. Dad, Casey Jones: She has made it possible to be daddy’s baby forever as she would do anything to be with Casey when she was little (calling him from elementary school to take her out cuz she is “too smart” which was true). Even with his job as a police officer/vigilante, he made it possible to not miss anything that was going on in Rachel’s life; he just didn’t expect that a 6’5” ninja turtle would become his daughter’s boyfriend, now that made him lose it. But he just wanted to make her happy and let her know that he was happy for her. Also, didn’t expect his daughter to have powers which he was chill about but still cautious.

Key Dynamic: A reckless but loving father who reminds her that she’s tougher than she thinks.

Masami & Jax: Both of them are Shredder’s children and twins but they are still close to Rachel as they also have powers and even fought with her against their father besides Jax as he was secretly following his father’s wishes

Leah & Oliver: Also twin siblings and Rachel’s friends with powers, they help as much as they can so Rachel wouldn’t have to stress too much as Rachel is the “Chosen one”

Taliana: Also friend with powers, she and Rachel have been friends since 1st grade when Rachel found her getting bullied but after that, they have been very close. Taliana also helps Rachel a lot with her calculations and other materials that seem too complicated for her

Millyanna: Millyanna and Rachel have a sister relationship as Rachel helps her so much and helps her with her confidence. Even though she is just like Pinky Pie from My Little Pony, she also has her serious moments with her powers while fighting alongside Rachel

Miscellaneous Information:

Rachel has been diagnosed with ADHD and Anxiety Disorder but isn’t talked about as much in the storyline

She has fire powers (Fire flames, lava, magma, etc.), telekinesis, gravity powers, voice changer power (Lets her talk like someone else’s voice) and the weapon that she uses is a bow and arrows which she can light on fire and a Scythe
