i would like to say my ideal PJO adaptation (if i was being physically forced against my will to have to pick a live action adaptation over an animated one for some reason) would be a combo like writing of the musical + casting of the show + visuals of the movies

BUT the show actually does have the playwright for the musical as one of the major writers for like three episodes and that did nothing for it. so...

one thing i love about kh 'family tree' diagrams is it rlly drives home how little of the confusing 'who is who and there's two copies of this guy' stuff is related to family, which is i feel where a lot of that stuff comes from in other stories. you don't have a long lost dad, you've been possessed by this old guy. oops! there's no family legacy but you ARE a clone so gl with that! bbs eraqus situation obviously exists but even then it's not blood ties. the fact that blood ties almost universally mean fuck all is actually rlly endearing to me

👕Appearance Is there someone your character tries to look similar to?

Well he certainly doesn’t try to, but Thyneron could basically pass as his father’s twin. His father is a famous musician, so he does what he can to make himself visually distinct (no beard, different hair style, different types of clothing). Even so, he’s still been mistaken for his father in the street before, and it annoys him tremendously.

📦Objects Is there an item your character is embarrassed they own or want?

Thyneron is horrifically embarrassed of his family’s wealth. He dresses lavishly pretty much entirely to keep up appearances because of his family’s status as patriars, and if he could have it his way, he’d probably only ever wear casual tunics and trousers.

🍽️Food and Drink What is a childhood meal your character cherishes?

Nothing in particular. Perks of growing up wealthy, he could have what he wanted at basically any time.

🌤️Weather and Nature Has your character had a meaningful encounter with an animal?

do squids count lmao Not really. He has a collection of pets, but they’re just that, pets. Baldur’s Gate, and especially the Upper City, runs pretty short on natural wildlife.

🤝Community and Relationships How comfortable would your character be singing and dancing in front of others?

Depends on how drunk he is and whether he’s around his family or not. With the family, he’d be completely comfortable. In a tavern full of strangers and not a drop of alcohol in sight? He’d probably crawl out of his own skin.

💓Mind, Body and Soul Are there scents your character dislikes?

Rosewater, though largely for Jealousy reasons. Aside from that, not really. He’s the sort of person who thinks gasoline smells good, so he enjoys a wide variety of scents that most consider to be off-putting.

🎲 Hobbies and Activities What is a talent your character wishes they had?

Even though he tries to distance himself from his father’s image, I think he’d probably secretly wish he was better at playing musical instruments. He can pluck out a few rudimentary chords on a lyre, but that’s all.

So, The missing scarf involves a bunch of versions of Sans and Papyrus getting pulled into a timeline after true pacifist, correct? Correct.

However, I couldn't help but notice that all the versions of the skelebros fall into the 'Siblings in the second area, one involved with the royal guard, and the other the final boss in genocide' role, which poses my question:

If storyshift was involved in this, would it pull Papyrus and Sans because they're the skeletons, like everyone else who was taken before Mel, or would it take Chara and Asriel since they fulfil the role of Sans and Papyrus in their home universe?

A few clarifications before answering the main question!

TMS does indeed involve several AUs, but only the Classic and Underswap have experienced a true pacifist ending. The others alternate between neutral endings or haven't even met Frisk yet. I don't know if this is what you had in mind, but it's mostly a reminder for new readers!

As for who ends up in this timeline, it isn't related to their role but to their identity as "Sans" and "Papyrus", the skeleton brothers. In fact, that's one of the plot point of the series: How did they get there, and why these Monsters in particular? Especially since Mel's arrival breaks the pattern they're used to while also being a type of skeleton :)

So no, no Chara and Asriel from other AUs in TMS. I'd even say, no other AUs in general, this timeline is already too unstable with all these anomalies. It could implode at any minute.
