my chronic au bug disease is acting up again, and now it's making me think of an owl house au where hunter time travels (somehow,,,) after the events of the s3 finale. only, he doesn't just go back to the start of s1 or s2 or something, but ends up right back when eda was still attending hexside. so now, he keeps meeting younger versions of all the adults he knows and is trying his best to find a way back to his own time (he finally has a family & good support system there), all while struggling with the knowledge that just then, belos is still alive and in power and with a grimwalker whose fate is already sealed. imagine at one point, belos sees this random teenager just sorta hanging around who looks just like caleb. he can't be a grimwalker because his eyes are brown (since this is post thanks to them), and his face is scarred, but he's the spitting image of belos's brother and it's driving him (even more) insane. the hexside squad at the time keep running into him like 'hmm look it's treason boy'. eda thinks it's great. lilith does not.

I’m gonna be sharing my Owl House Wips and Aus for a while now that it’s over and I’m definitely hyper fixating on them.

Back In Time Au

Everything went wrong, and it started with Flapjack dying. After that Hunter died from drowning and they didn’t have a way or the time to save him because they had to go after Belos. Next were Willow and Gus, Willow’s emotions were all over the place after everything they went through and despite her trying to cover them up, after her run in with Boscha her powers became uncontrollable and she suffocated herself and her best friend. Camila and Amity were next, they were killed by Kikimora and her giant robot, the range of one of the blasts was too much and it was too fast for them to avoid. It didn’t help that they were distracted by their worry for the other two. And finally, Luz, Eda, King, and the Collector all lost their lives to Belos after he took over the Titans body.

They all died… But then they all found themselves awake the first day Luz arrived on the Isles.

So I’ve seen some time travel fics pop up, especially after the end of the show, and in most of them it’s either Luz or Hunter.

But please, consider.

Alador Blight.

Because the idea of Alador – still a bit awkward but now a good and loving father – going back when he was a loyal member of the Abomination Coven, a neglectful and distant father, has so much potential.

The chaos. The confusion. Why is this formerly indifferent dad suddenly interested? What do you mean you won’t listen to Mom? What do you mean we’re not joining a Coven?!

Eda is thrilled. The kids are cautiously hopeful though confused. Darius is two seconds away from a heart attack. The BATTs are curious. No one cares about Odalia.

It gets better when you remember that Alador is the one who invented the machine removing sigils.

So, there is this AU for the owl house that I came up with and that I am currently writing a fanfiction for on my AO3.

It's an AU where a seventeen year old Darius and his mentor, the previous golden guard, travel in time to the future and meet sixteen year old Hunter.

Also, because Darius doesn't 'exist' in this new future, Alador is the abomination coven head.

I am a really big Dadrius fan, but for that AU, we should call him Brorius, because he is more like a big brother to Hunter (and YES I am aware that I'm not funny).

So, what if Luz and co found the time pools after all that and accidentally created a spell that put themselves in their younger bodies at the very beginning? What if Luz had a curse like Eda, except she had her Titian form and the magic that the Titan gave her to defeat Belos? What if this was a challenge for writers?

An AU where a young Philip Wittebane ends up in the 21st Century Boiling Isles and learn to see the good in witches and demons while living in the Owl House.

Of course, meeting Hunter would be complicated due to recognizing his voice and seeing his face.

And finding out Belos being his future self in Hollow Mind... Well, that would be traumatizing, especially after finding out what he did to Caleb. He would be devastated for what he'll become, but eventually he would come to reject that future, deciding to make his own.

In the events of King's Tide, he would have the chance and courage to say those words to his face.

I got the idea after watching Lightyear. Specifically, the part with Buzz and Zurg.

TOH Time-Travel Fix-It Fic Idea

Set after the events of ‘Thanks To Them’, where instead of taking them back to the Boiling Isles, the graveyard’s portal takes the Hexsquad + Camila back in time to between the events of ‘Enchanting Grom Fright’ and ‘Wing It Like Witches.’

Why did the portal took them to the past? The Titan did it.

The Hexsquad + Camila basically merged with their past selves, so they look the same as they did at the time (i.e. Amity’s hair is still green, Hunter doesn’t have the possession scars, etc.), but with the powers and abilities of their future selves.

The Palismen also merge with their past selves, even Flapjack because his essence was inside Hunter. Luz’s Egg alos time travels but because it’s past selves doesn’t exist yet, it’s in a sort of in-between state: it looks semi-transparent, and only the time-travelers can touch it, it’s intangible to everyone else. Ghost is in a similar state.

Unlike in canon, Vee decided to go with the group thought the portal, sos he also time-travels. She is currently at camp and decides to stay there for the time being because she wants to keep her friendship with Marsha and the others. Maybe Vee eventually recruits them for the cause at some point.

After hugging a confused Eda ad King with tears in her eyes, Luz fills them in on what’s going on - maybe she allows Eda to enter her head so she can see Luz’s memories and makes explanations easier.

After the explanations, they bring in Camila using the portal door, and are joined by the rest of the Hexsquad. Hunter takes a bit longer to arrive because he needs to sneak out of Belos’s palace.

Once the group is reunited, they begin planning on what to do. Part of the plan in bring Lilith, Raine, Darius, and the rest of the CATTs on board. Maybe even Emira and Edric. Lilith would be the hardest since she is still in her zealot phase, so they kidnap her and maybe make her watch Luz’s memories or something.

I’m debating on what to do with the events of Elsewhere and Elsewhen, but I feel that they need to happen or the timeline destabilizes due to an incomplete time-loop. Maybe The Titan speaks to Luz in her dreams and explains why she needs to help Phillip.

Luz wouldn’t be happy about this because she still feels massive guilt for helping Phillip the first time when it was unintentional on her part, but now she needs to purposely help him.

I would love it if you guys can help flesh out this idea and how will the timeline change. Things like: Eda getting her Harpy form earlier/not losing her magic, King learning the truth of what he is, etc.

I've got a new AU idea I'm calling Paradox AU: Young Philip and Caleb, before they came to the Demon Realm, fall through time to the modern Boiling Isles, but are separated. Philip tries to find Caleb, but runs into trouble with the law and gets sent to the Conformatorium... just in time for Luz to release the prisoners while saving King's crown. Shenanigans ensue, time anomalies pop up, young Philip accidentally gets into contact with the Collector while looking for Caleb. And, of course, all the drama and angst of young Philip and Hunter interactions since he looks just like Caleb... Fun stuff!

Stuck in the Past!

Elsewhere and Elsewhen AU! Luz was too slow in reaching the time pool and now she finds herself trapped in the past. She is then faced with a hard choice. Find a way back to the present, or stop the man who would come to bring misery to the boiling Isles. All the while Lilith finds herself in an unfamiliar present.

Raine and Eda's gem fusion (TOH / Steven Universe crossover)

Their fusion dance is just the scene in Eda's Requiem where they play their instruments back-to-back, but then they glow and fuse - but continue playing, because now they have 4 arms, Raine's arms on top playing the violin and Eda's arms on the bottom playing the cittern.

Their combined gem is sphene/titanite - base colour gold (eda) with green (raine) and red (both of them) sparkles. More designs and AU description under the cut:

Separate designs for them (Eda is big and shaped like Garnet because she's a fusion between Eda and the corrupted Owlbeast. Her harpy form is the harmonious fusion that happens after the Owlbeast's corruption is healed):

Alt design for the fusion, with merged/faceted eyes instead of separate ones - I just love how perfectly Eda's pointy eyes fit under Raine's round ones!

I imagine their combined personality might be like a rock star, because Eda's brashness and showmanship overpower Raine's stage fright, so they can finally be a star musician together. I love to think about how elated they would be after their first performance!

Plot (?):

So titans can travel through space, just because they're so magical. Several hundred years ago a titan arrived on earth to hide from the Archivists, carrying with it a lot of refugees from its original planet. The titan died, exhausted by the stress of the trip, but the refugees whom he protected survived and started a new life. They are protected by shielding magic from curious humans. They are a little different from the witches and demons of the boiling isles - they're gem-based lifeforms who form visible bodies around their gems, and they have very long lifespans.

One summer, Luz the human (obsessed with gems and magic) accidentally goes through a portal that Eda has made, ends up on the island and decides to live there instead of summer camp.  She meets Eda, whose gem has become fused with the corrupted gem of the Owlbeast, so sometimes the Owlbeast takes control of their shared body.

Luz becomes best friends with King (King is basically Steven and doesn't know he's actually a titan/diamond), who didn't have any friends before her because nobody has seen his type of gem before so everyone thinks he's weird. (The gem society in Steven Universe is kind of obsessed with roles, ranks and hierarchies, so seeing an unknown gem is unsettling). She basically becomes Connie to King's Steven (non-romantic, lol).

Luz has some adventures learning about the island. She gets to know Willow, who is an "overcooked" jasper and insecure about it just like Amethyst, but v. powerful once Luz helps her overcome the insecurity. And Gus and Amity.

Meanwhile, on the titan’s home planet, Belos (not a human in this AU) has formed a deal with the Archivists to be allowed to rule the planet in a way that the Archivists approve of in exchange for trying to find the escaped titan. And now they have found earth somehow. Raine, who leads an underground rebellion against Belos, manages to be the one sent to earth. Unfortunately for them, Belos sends Hunter (Belos’s pearl - Hunter has big pearl energy, right?) along with them.

Once they arrive on earth Raine keeps trying to secretly sabotage Hunter’s attempts to find the island so they can find it first themselves and warn everyone.Don't know how that goes, but eventually they find Eda - maybe even in the human world and not on the island? So they finally meet again after a long time. Back then she was too afraid to tell them she's a fusion but now she doesn't give a fuck, which leads to them rekindling their relationship!
