And now for something completely different: I tried my hand at making a Vanaheimr themed resplendent costume because I hate Yoshiku's designs so badly, but some of the elements have potential if only a different artist went at it.
Camilla is a kind of boring choice for this theme but also easy to work with because the shapes of her outfit match the main OCs for this book for the most part. I kind of want to attempt some more of these with less obvious character choices.

“It all started on a September night.” The young witches, not older than twelve to fourteen, had gathered around the blonde male, whose baby fat was finally receding, sharpening his features and therefore turning him into an adult. Looking younger than he was was going to be beneficial in later years, as of right now though, Zeev wanted nothing more than to be taken seriously. However, when he sat down in front of the mansion’s porch, a group of young witches sneaked up on him, demanding his attention and yet another story. Something he was able to provide instantly. “The little girl with golden locks like the hay from the stables, was sound asleep in her cozy bed. Her mother came checking on her each night, taking a glimpse at her cute little daughter.” He picked at the chubby cheek of one of the girls, who giggled in return and hid behind her friend while laughing. “Each night she’d sneak into the bedroom, making sure her little girl was breathing and then kissed her head happily, for yet another day would come where she could love her baby girl. And when her mother left, the girl dreamed of adventures and love.” Zeev leaned back, folding his hands behind his head, pushing the heels of his shoes into the soil.
“During the day, the girl was showered with kisses and presents. Her entire family celebrated with her, showing their gratitude for her existence. And she was grateful for them, too.” One of the young witches leaned against him, unfazed by the story he came up with. She fumbled with the cords of her summer dress, trying out all sorts of knots. The other girls though were enraptured by his words. “Exhausted and content with her life, she sunk happily into bed, covering herself with the blanket, feeling the soothing warmth and the tiredness in her bones. She fell asleep quickly, dreaming of sweets and her family.” He glanced at the girl, who was not quite listening or feeling too cool to act accordingly. “It was the coldness of a breeze that woke her up, just enough to feel, but not enough to move. Drunk on sleep she glanced into the night, watching the curtains dance wistfully. She couldn’t remember having opened the window, assuming it was the doing of her mother. The same mother that stood next to her bed, checking on her like every night. She leaned down.” Zeev reached forward. “Ran her long, cold fingers over her head, humming silently.” He caressed the girl's face and pinched her nose afterwards. “And waited, till the girl closed her eyes again, drifting to sleep. The last thing she heard was the closing of the window and the creak of the door.”
“During the day, she asked her mother to keep the window closed, afraid of the coldness in her bones, fearing sickness creeping up on her. Her mother agreed and promised to not touch the windows at all. However, it was the very same breeze that woke her up at moonrise again.” The girls in front of him shuffled closer to one another, sensing the turn of atmosphere. It was hard to tell whose blonde braids belonged to who. “Again, the girl saw the dark silhouette next to her bed, veiled in the curtains of the window, ajar and open. The little one tried to sit up, but couldn’t move. She wanted to speak, but the words died on her lips. The woman reached towards her. Humming.” Zeev mimicked the movement once again, reaching for the locks of the disinterested witch. She flinched when he ran his hand over her head, tousling her hair. The other witches giggled when she scrunched up her nose in annoyance. “And the girl fell asleep again to the sound of a closing window and a door opening.”
“Momma, she said, please don’t open the windows at night! I fear my soul will be swept away by the night’s breeze.” Despite being enraptured by his story, the witches giggled at his impression of a girl’s voices, his own way too hoarse and deep. “But child, she answered, I never dared to touch your window.” Two of the girls gasped, eyes widening. It took long enough for the girl next to him to shift around to look him in the eyes, sparkling interest in her shimmering glance. She was going to be a fierce one, Zeev knew.
“The next night, the girl stayed wide awake, her eyes fixed on her window. Thinking, with each passing hour, that her mother surely must have lied. Suddenly, as she slowly lost her consciousness drifting into slumber, she heard the sound of nails against glass.” The young man leaned forward, his voice turning into a whisper. “The hinges rattled quietly as the window opened slowly. The girl shivered, the cold air filling her lungs, making her feel lightheaded. She watched, unable to move, as a pair of skeletal hands reached inside, gripping the windowsill. The figure pulled itself into the room, a head with long black hair followed by a thin body. Her movements were erratic, almost animalistic.” He mimicked her convulsive movements, scaring the witches enough to make them back away.
“Once she got on her dirty crooked feet, she watched the girl in her bed. The moonlight hit her face and in between her dark strands of hair surfaced a hollow face with white eyes. And as she reached for the girl, she hummed a song so soothingly, that the girl couldn’t help but fall asleep. This time she never heard the window close, nor the creak of the door as her mother went into the empty room.”
“Be careful little ones”, he mumbled, eyeing each of the girls, hanging on his every word. “Or the banshee might choose one of you next.” He glanced at the girl closest to him. “Maybe it’s gonna be you!” With that he attacked her with quick hands tickling her with a lack of mercy. She squealed in surprise and writhed in distress. The other witches weren’t showing much sympathy though, as they tickled her as well, glad they hadn’t been the one the banshee had chosen.
Zeev on the other hand soon had to listen to his mother complaining about his stories keeping the girls from sleeping, causing them to frighten each other.
“In the eye of the moon, when the dreams hang low, beware the banshee’s mournful woe. Lock your windows and bar your doors tight, for the banshee hunts in the darkest of night.”

plans for tomorrow: unglue the subtitles for s1 and s5 and probably other seasons? need to check. how I'm going to do it: - download DVD subtitles - match the HD subs and the DVD subs line by line - paste the DVD sub instead of the original one without touching the time code - this probably won't work as intended, so - scream at the computer - rewrite code accordingly
