I HATE CHADOK RANT (Part 2)
** Read Part 1 first!!**
MOST HEARTBREAKING MOMENT!!!
I had to stop watching the episode because I couldn't stop crying at the love between them. Aye is so protective in this scene, and the best boyfriend to Akk. He truly cares for him, and it's shown in the hug and just pure love there. At this moment, Aye was so scared that he was going to lose another person that is so important to him.
Aye loved his uncle, Dika was his most important person, the person who inspired him the most. He was also Aye's best friend, he taught him so much. Whether it was about understanding the importance of language or understanding his sexuality, and probably so much more. Aye loves his mom, but it was different with Dika, because Dika just understood who Aye is. So, because of this, he took it the worst when his uncle died, especially since it seems like Suppalo was the reason. His only plan when he came there was to avenge his uncle. Of course though, he found Akk, and overtime, he was scared to lose Akk too. I feel like he started liking Akk right away, he just didn't do anything about it until later.
He didn't know how close Akk and Dika were, or that aside from the connection they already feel with each other, another connection they have is related to Dika.
Akk on the other hand, didn't have a relationship like that with Dika, but he did have him as the first person who understood him. Dika had no agenda, when he showed Akk that he doesn't have to be alone. Dika never judged him and was just somebody in his corner, which helped Akk when he was struggling so much. I mean just imagine moving to a big city from living in the country most of your life, you would struggle too. He did, but that is how he found Dika. Dika truly cared for him and made him feel like he belonged, when he didn't feel like he did.
In some way, it seemed like Dika was helping them find the connection they both needed, from the grave.
It's a sad thought, but also something that he would totally do if he could.
This relates to Chadok because I feel like Chadok represents the school. It might not be just him that had the influence on Dika, but with how close Dika was to Chadok, it seemed like he would be the biggest reason behind Dika's death.
We see that the principle has put some stress on Chadok and even congratulated him for the work he has done. So, I know he has pressure put on him.
However, as we see with Teacher Chani, not everyone is sharing the abuse being put upon them.
The system in the school is toxic and abusive in general. So, of course it produces people like Chadok from it. They use fear to rule the school, it gets people to listen, but only up to the point of someone saying, "I am going to rebel anyway."
AKA World Remembers Gang, Aye, and Akk (with Aye's help).
Though it produces people who believe in the system.
The Principal, Chadok, Warwee and Namo
It also produces people who are bystanders, who let it all happen. Sometimes unintentionally,
Thua was like this at first, but Aye helped him realize that he needs to stand up.
Kan and Wat are also like that at first, but it seems like they are changing their minds like Akk already has.
Or there are ones who are intentionally being bystanders.
The boys who were bullying the World Remembers Gang for being gay.
Also, Chadok and Warwee, both people who fall in actually believing in the system, but also just letting things happen.
The gym teacher is also a good example of a bystander who doesn't do anything about it, but isn't directly involved.
It seems like there are so many people involved in this, but honestly aside from the principal, Chadok is the highest in the hierarchy of the school. So, he has the biggest influence on everyone else, and since he uses that influence to carry on the abuse and toxicity, it makes him awful. The principal seems bad, but Chadok seems to have the biggest influence on the students and staff since, most don't even know the principal, but everyone knows Chadok. I would feel for Chadok, but he lets all these terrible things happen and threatens and uses the insecurities of others to make sure the ideology and rules of the school stay where they are.
Though the rebels (including, Akk, Thua and maybe Wat and Kan), and Teacher Chani fight back against the system. Their attention is to make sure nobody else turns out like Dika.

I love three hopes??? Like legitimately love it?? No clue why there's so much hate for this game and I'm a bit sad because it means we probably won't get a third game to really cap off fodlan.
The three main routes all get to be different, and unique and do things that are different from the first game! Edelgard does away with TWSitD, Dimitri gets to be a king instead of a boar, and Claude gets to be a real character instead of following Silver Snow! Rhea doesn't have to spend 3/4 of the routes in girlboss jail half the time!
Every single character feels unique with the personal skills! We get to see sooo many minor characters! Characters have dialogues for fighting (and even killing) friends! Recruitments is based on plot and character motives instead of player will!
The house lords all team up! We get to fight the second soul in us! There's so many more gay pairings and characters coming out in canon!
I'm one of the rare fire emblem fans that really liked the gameplay of three houses but from a character and plot perspective three hopes just works so much better that I can't really see wanting to go back for replays

okay see the thing with school is like, yes I know there are so many people around the globe that dont have the option to go to school. I understand and acknowledge that. MY problem is the fact that (at least in the US) its required by the government and law and if you dont attend school your parents could get arrested AND your attendence pays the school.
like why can it just be optional? I get it, your education is important, it is! But there are soooo many better ways to educate than whatever is going on right now in public schools.
And school just doest work for some kids! for some people, it just doesnt work and it never will.
so yeah as soon as you change some things up then maybe ill rethink my opinions on .... s c h o o l

therapy isnt enough, i need my teachers to know how badly they hurt me and flip them off while telling them to go fuck themselves and making them feel at least half of what i and all of my classmates felt because of them. i developed an anxiety disorder because of them. i want them to feel all the anxiety attacks i’ve ever had at the same time because of them. i want them to suffer the same way they made me and all their previous students suffer. idgaf about “treat people with kindness”, they deserve none. idgaf if some of yall say im too aggressive, they made no effort in trying to look at things from our perspective, im gonna make no effort in “trying to understand how hard it is to be a teacher”, they got nothing to do all day, apart from grading papers, they deserve none of my or anyone’s sympathy. “but they have other things to take care of outside of school!”, so do i, “they could have a sick relative they need to take care of!”, so do i. stop making excuses for teachers that verbally and psychologically abuse their students. im not your damn little puppet that you can caliber however the fuck you want, im my own person and if you showed me that you didnt deserve my respect im not gonna give it to you, plain and simple.

"I know JK Rowing is a terrible person but her books are so good-"
You sure about that?
I mean, just for a start, have you taken a good look at her fantasy creatures lately? A whole bunch of them are straight-up based on malicious and dehumanizing stereotypes about actual people.
Remember the werewolves? And being a werewolf was made into a kind of metaphor for having AIDS?
And you know how AIDS was first associated with gay men? And how conservatives back in the day were claiming gay men were preying on children in order to convert them to gayness?
Remember how Fenrir Greyback preyed on children in particular? Yeah, she put that subtext in there. She was an adult in the 90's. She knew damn well what she was doing.
Remember the house elves? Remember how most of them loved to serve and needed to have a home and a master or else they just wouldn't know what to do with themselves?
Did you know that's literally what slavers in the American South said about the Black people they kept enslaved? Go look up the happy slave myth.
Do I even need to get into the goblins and the antisemitic tropes they're based on? No, folkloric goblins were not gold-hoarding bankers waiting for their chance to stab humanity in the back.
"But the characters are so good!"
Are you kidding me?
Most of her characters are pretty one-dimensional, including Harry. Her idea of making a morally complicated character is giving a tragic past to a bully. Numerous characters are little more than stereotypes. (Looking at Fleur right now.) Literally anybody, including you, can easily make dozens of characters just as good, if not better. (It doesn't exactly take a lot of character designing skill to go, "hey, actually, having a sad backstory doesn't make it okay to bully children" or "hey, maybe I should not base a character on the first stereotype that pops into my head.")
"But the rest of the worldbuilding!"
Sorry, but her worldbuilding is just as basic as her characters. Magical castles and secret passages are stock tropes. Magical people who keep their true nature secret from humanity is the premise of pretty much every White Wolf TTRPG. Most of her fantasy creatures are just common European fairy tale and folklore creatures with shitty stereotypes projected onto them.
I'm not saying "basic worldbuilding bad." I'm saying, you could do just as good, if not better, with minimal effort.
Also there's her magical bioessentialism, where only Harry's abusive blood relatives could provide him with supernatural protection from Voldemort. Rowling thus effectively declared that non-biological family isn't quite real family, and that abusive biofamily can give you some essential thing that a loving, supportive family that isn't related to you just can't.
The Hogwarts houses are one of the most insidious elements of her worldbuilding. The idea of being sorted gives you a little dopamine hit because wow now you have a li'l niche where you belong!
But the actual function of the houses and sorting system and the House Cup is teaching children to see each other as rivals, and ensure that the most toxic views of the upper class get passed on to every new batch of kids sorted into Slytherin.
Hogwarts effectively prepares children for a dystopia where magic serves to distract its citizens from how nightmarishly awful it is. Economic inequality is so bad that people like Arthur and Molly Weasley can barely afford to put their kids through school, casual sadism is just an accepted norm in everyday society, and non-humans are second class citizens. Rowling sorta acts like she thinks this is a bad thing with certain lines she gave to Dumbledore, but in the end, her special boy protagonist becomes an auror; IE, a defender of the status quo. So.
If you've never seen it, Lily Simpson's video goes into even more detail on how the worldbuilding of Harry Potter is actually incredibly fucked up, and how it betrays small-minded attitudes on Rowling's part. There's no separating the art from this artist, because Rowling's rotten values pour out of nearly every page.
Yes, there are many things in Harry Potter that evoke feelings and inspire people, but there's absolutely nothing in it that this series has a monopoly on. You can find those same experiences in much, much better media.
