I have. A lot of feelings about Mokuba... Imprinted so much of myself. And the one arc where (s)he had a fantasy doppelganger who was a girl. That shit sent ripples through my being. Loving your big brother who's kind of a dick but like not with you but also sometimes with you in an almost unhealthy way... Yeah man... That's just right about where it all began

a big part of the fandom is convinced that he is The Bigoted Character and reduces him to prejudices he doesn't even have because idk, he's in charge of kaibacorp also because of the dub

despite the fact that in canon, nobody in a position of power actually wants him in charge of kaibacorp. or of anything

they just want him to be a living corpse! literally so many characters want him lying in a coma forever, or having his body puppeteered by other people

Do you have any thoughts as a trans Yu-Gi-Oh fan about the popular trans femme Mokuba headcannon? Personally Mokuba's my fave so I project my being bigender onto him

I definitely remember him dressing as the princess in the anime being a "yeah wow I would have jumped at that chance too" moment when I was a kid, and her inexplicably looking like him is so weird it can only really make sense if Seto suspected or knew he had crossdressing or trans tendencies beforehand.

Yu Gi Oh is really fertile ground for trans headcanons in a lot of ways, with all the body weird stuff going on. You've got that, the spirits, the body thieving virtual reality arc where the bad guys are a group they'd probably have include a girl if they planned ahead, and themes of reincarnation or the soul carrying on into radically different forms (Blue Eyes, Dark Magician). Yugi and Bakura, just as characters, also have trans vibes to me that could go in any direction.
