Bro I love you so much /p as someone who read the whole Tintin's comics multiple times as a child, saw the different movies and related smh sometimes to this wild lil belgian/french dude, seing your stuff makes me so goddamn happy.

I'm not at a super good time in my life rn. But seeing that some people still love those comics to the point of being hella creative about it reminds me how happy I was, at the time, when I was reading those on my mom's old ass MacBook in primary/elementary school, or on the floor of the living room with my dad's comics that were a bit falling apart becausd he had them for so long ; and then I was joyfully doing stories about it by myself too ! I now remember how badly I wanted to be like Tintin growing up ! Wow ! My trans ass just realised that !

I'll probably start to read them again tonight, you smh woke up my actual first hyperfixation of all time I think. Also I spent maybe one full hour sending all your stuff to my gf tonight because I was so happy and my connection sucks ah-

I'm also transmasc and can relate to fictional characters being formative in childhood (though for some reason I never related to Tintin? he was just Too Perfect for me. I definitely related to Haddock as a kid. maybe i had Issues lol).

The way Tintin performs gender is super appealing, I genuinely believe his unique way of presenting gender was a large factor in his global popularity - he was a total badass without alienating people who don't relate to "traditional" Western forms of masculinity! A petite androgynous guy who loved musical theatre and dressed his little dog in ribbons and was never mocked for it. Really makes him stand out from a lot of male action heroes of the time.

I hope you're in a better place now, it's been a rough couple of years recently. Thank you so much for taking the time to write to me, especially in English!

I was going through some of my mid 2023 sketchbooks and found these. First of all, amazing how much someone's art style can change in half a year. second, apparently I gave tintin a clown nose... I don't remember that... (it's in most of the drawings?!) And the last photo... I forgot about this. I was going to make my own tintin comic. I can't remember the storyline, this is all I can find. It's tintin chained to the walk with rastapopolus just existing and I think me in the corner?

(I have a theory. This was drawn before I came out as trans, so this might have been just a euphoria thing with the added bonus of tintin. I dont know if i was actually planning to go anywhere with this) I guess tintin makes everything better.

Imagine Tintin saying: captain! look at my new binder, it has the trans flag on it!, and the captain just looking at him, totally in love, because he looks super cute.

I was thinking that Tintin would work hard to pay for the mastectomy, since he can't run with the binder on.

He would pitch the idea to Haddock and he would give him whatever it takes to get there. So I'll probably draw Tintin with the mastectomy marks :)

there's a lot of reasons why as a child it never occurred to me the character of tintin was supposed to be a teenager and not a grown adult (pays rent, has a working job, owns firearms, has a driver's license and can drive a plane and motorcycle, once sent three grown men into hospital in a straight fight and escaped a guarded prison, etc) but i think him straight up going to an opium den and getting high. off opium. is why it never once occured to me that he was anything else than an adult with a case of baby-face.

I wanted to keep writing the next chapter, but my dad sat next to me while I was using the laptop and I had to close the Tumblr page really fast because I can't write gay shit in front of him.

I have 2 random Tintin headcanons

1. Tintin drinks coffee

He used to drink it once a while until one day he drank coffee 2 times in one day. Then it became a habit and then an addiction (Though he tries to limit the amount of coffee he consumes. Like at the morning it would be a morning amount then in the afternoon a smaller amount).

Sometimes he drinks coffee as a punishment. Like if he procrastinated writing a report in the afternoon, he would drink coffee as like some motivator to write the report in the evening, then the consequence he faced is taking an hour and a half to sleep and not even finishing the whole 5 stages of REM sleep.

He tries to get off his caffeine addiction habit when he has the conscious decision to do so. From an average it could last to 2 days to 2 weeks.

2. He uses a cane

Though he uses it probably when he’s 20. How?

I’d like to think he was trying to chase off some bad guy one day while running around the building roofs. Until s l i p! Tintin’s fallen and he can’t get up.

He’s on the ground and wondering how he’s managed to stay alive. And took a nap because he’s already done so much and that’s already enough adventure for now.

Hours later he woke up and instead of calling for help, he just got up (not because he doesn’t want someone to see him and attack him but there are ants that were crawling all around him) and walked away as he feels the pain from his leg but not questioning why. Tintin temporarily forgot why he was on the ground. He just wanted to go home and relieve whatever pain he’s feeling.

So he got back to Marlinspike Haul, talked to Haddock and Nestor and said hi to Snowy, and went to go to his room. That was until he tried walking up the stairs he just collapses. Then he immediately knew why he happened to woke up on the ground.

So after all that, Tintin was seen by a doctor and was appointed weekly physical therapy to reduce all that stiffness. Though the damage was already done so he has to have a cane around him.

Sure, the injury has limited Tintin from doing the things he used to do before, but he still finds ways to continue having his adventure. Instead of him chasing bad guys he lets Snowy do it, or he throw rocks at them.
