Viago has seen you around and when he asks to have you brought to his home one night, everyone thinks that means you're going to be his dinner. He had hoped that would be the case, but the second you two actually start talking he feels something stir in his chest, which shouldn't happen.

And by the end of the night, you're alive and well and he lets you go. After he's made you his familiar, that is. He hasn't had one for himself recently. It's also the best way for him to really get to know you.

He has to admit that he has quite a massive crush on you after you've been his familiar for a few weeks. No matter what he does, you occupy his mind. His feelings grow. And he doesn't know what he should do. The last time he'd fallen in love hadn't worked out in his favour.

In the end, he doesn't have to do anything. It all falls into its place by itself. One moment you two are talking and the next one his lips are awkwardly pressing against yours in the first kiss you two share. He can't remember how it happened, but both of you had leaned in and suddenly you two were kissing. Not that he would ever complain.

For a while, you're just making out with each other. He's careful with his fangs because he's had it happen before that he accidentally sliced a tongue or lip open while kissing someone.

He's feeling you up, nervously roaming his hands over your body, your chest, your sides, your thighs, your ass. Due to his vampirism, it usually takes him a little longer to get hard, but he feels like it happens instantly with you. It's making him feel dizzy.

At last, you two come up for air, breaking the kiss, but keeping your faces only a mere inch or so apart. He asks how far you want to go - if you even wish to go any further - and you awkwardly tell him that you would love for him to fuck you.

The only thing keeping you back and making you extremely nervous is the fact that you're trans. You're unsure if he even knows or understands what it means and if he doesn't have a problem with it.

Viago may be centuries old and not know much about technology and so forth, but he's always been keeping up with the LGBTQ+ community, its history, its development, etc. He's certainly not uneducated. So, he smiles at you and tells you that it's not an issue for him at all. He likes you just the way you are.

After he gets your permission to keep going, he takes off your clothes and his own before kissing a path down from your lips to your chest, your nipples, and your stomach.

Then he gets out some lube from his bedside table and pours it over his fingers to insert them one by one, preparing you to take him. While he's fingering you open, he's kissing you again, awkwardly giggling into it. He's so excited he can't keep it in, which you find quite endearing.

Once he thinks you're ready and you're getting impatient, he rolls on a condom and carefully enters you. He hasn't had sex as many times as his housemates have, so he's a little awkward with his pacing and finding a rhythm, but he gets the hang of it eventually; but what he also notices about this is that this feels different. He guesses that his feelings for you may be heightening his senses because this feels better than any sex he's ever had.

After you've both come, he lies down beside you, wraps his arms tightly around you and buries his face in your neck. He inhales your scent, which is far more potent now, and he doesn't know how he's not biting down, but he keeps himself in check somehow. He can't wait to do this again with you.

What We Drew in the Shadows is a 32-page PDF up on itch.io (link in bio) you can get with a minimum donation of $3.50. If you donate $20 or more, you’ll also get a sketch of a WWDITS character of your choice from me!

At the end of the month (6/30) I’ll send the total donations to FTG. After that, I’ll continue to send the totals at the end of each month or when they reach $10. That means there’s no deadline (but it is a great time to donate)! I’ll post my receipts after I send each batch.

I've asked before about some of the dumbest or silliest things your snakes have done, but let's flip that around! What are some of the cleverest things you've caught your snakes doing? An "oh, wow, I didn't know you could do that" moment?

My Mexican black kingsnake Ed is probably the smartest snake I have right now, it's really cool to work with him on training because it just clicks for him. When we work on target training he knows he has to touch the target with his nose to get his treats, so if I'm taking too long he'll tap it repeatedly to make sure it takes. It's super cute and just proves he knows exactly what he's doing.

My little Cali king Viago is super food-motivated, and recently he did something that kinda surprised me. He's bad for mistaken feeding bites, so I always use lots of strong-smelling hand sanitizer before handling him. He was checking out my fingers, as usual, and he just gently opened his mouth, didn't even bite down, just checked out one finger to make sure it wasn't food, then went to the next one and kept doing it until he'd checked all of my fingers! It was so methodical it really took me by surprise - he was really going "hmm, this one isn't food...what about this one?"

My Trans Pecos ratsnake Stede has assigned himself a dedicated "handling branch." He likes to hang out and bask on one particular branch, and when I'm opening his doors for a handling session, he gets down to his little ledge and waits. It took me months to realize he goes to the same spot every time! I guess when he was younger I usually picked him up from that ledge, and in his mind he made the connection "this ledge = time to go out and explore," so now he just goes there whenever he's expecting some handling time. It's great for both of us because it lets me know he's in the mood to come out, too!

Hobie the Borneo python has been checking out his climbing branches more, and the way he's figuring out which ones can support his weight fully has been really fun to watch. He's so very careful with slowly adding his weight as he climbs, and so meticulous about getting himself anchored on something else so he won't fall. He had a climbing branch fall under him once and he's making sure that never happens again!

Info About The Writer

Hi! I’m Alistair— you can call me that, or you can use my username for pretty much everywhere else, TheetyPie/Theety. I don’t mind either way.

I’m a trans guy, I use he/they pronouns. I’m panromantic/asexual, and I’m 27 years old.

I have 3 cats, they’re my babies. I also (as you can tell from above) have a lot of OCs, and the number is still growing. I want to turn my ideas into a bigger creation someday, still not sure exactly where I want to go with it.

I do more than write. I do art, I like video games, music, and just collecting stuff. Current obsessions are Monster High, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, makeup, crystals, and jewelry.

Rules

The most important: I do not RP smut. In the past I’ve used the fade-to-black method, but I’m not entirely comfortable with that with most of my muses.

In the same vein, DO NOT FORCE SHIPS. I love ships as much as the next guy, but I would prefer to discuss it first, or for us to agree on it. It’s cool if your muse has a crush, totally fine— mine get crushes all the time! But make sure if you want to ship, we discuss it first.

In a similar vein to that one as well, no god-modding/powerplaying. If your character is strong, an immortal being, or whatever, cool! I have some of those too. But there should always be a limit. Don’t say your character is moving mine unless we’ve talked about that. Attempt to move them. Usually I follow along as long as boundaries aren’t pushed.

Don’t kill or seriously injure my muse without permission. Fights happen, of course, but again: discussion. I’m up for threads where my canon muses are injured or killed, but not where it happens to my OCs, unless we’re getting into a backstory and another OC that’s already deceased dies. Non-serious injuries are alright to come out of nowhere with, but if it’s a first meeting, I’d prefer to plot it out.

I’m semi-selective. I’m kind of particular about who I follow and who I thread with. I prefer us to be mutuals to thread, but you don’t have to be mutuals to send me things.

I’m very bad at keeping up with people. If you message me and I don’t respond, it’s usually bc I’m shy, I forgot, or I’m busy with work. It’s not you, I promise. Usually I don’t message first bc I’m nervous.

Back to shipping: I’m also multiship. Usually my ships are in different universes, unless discussed with all parties beforehand. The exception is a few of my OCs that are partnered together— ask about their availability. I love random ships, just talk to me about them!

I love duplicates of my muses. Whether it’s “x meets self” or I find someone I share a muse with, I love RPing with just about everyone. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if we have a muse in common!

One of my other most important statements, not really considered a rule, but it’s still important: if you want to know something about any muse, canon or OC, please tell me— ask or message me! I haven’t been able to write down a lot of info about any of them because I’m on mobile, but I will infodump for you if you need/want to know something. I love talking about my children, they’re precious to me.

If you send something in or make something for me when we haven’t even spoken, I might not feel comfortable responding. I’m very shy and nervous about not having any discussion beforehand. 😭

Favorite movies of the 2010s?

What We Do In The Shadows (2014) - A mockumentary about vampires living in NZ created by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi. This is a movie you could watch over and over again without ever getting tired of it. You also notice new things each time. The characters are delightful, especially Viago (played by Taika) and Stu (a literal tech man who showed up to set with ZERO acting experience, not even knowing he was going to act in the film, and as told to just play himself). The movie is mostly improv. It is in the same universe as the WWDITS TV show but the tone and humor aren’t quite the same - I prefer the film. 

Boy Meets Girl (2014) - A touching story about a trans woman living in the rural south who explores her sexuality with a woman after a lifetime of only dating men. While Ricky’s friends, family, and community support her, there is some transphobia and there is discussion of her struggles with mental health. That said, it is a deeply healing piece of media and ends happily. The lead actress, Michelle Hendley, is a trans woman who had no prior acting experience. She brings a very real, very authentic performance. 

Megamind (2011) - A lot of people make posts on this website like “I wish there was a movie where-” and Megamind covers a huge chunk of those. It flips the villain/hero dynamic, is very bisexual, and features the coolest boots you have ever seen.

Lovebirds (2011) - An adorable romcom featuring Rhys Darby. After his girlfriend dumps him, he discovers a wounded duck and decides to nurse it back to health. He seeks out the help of an expert at the aviary, and they fall in love. Most of the movie is Rhys carrying around this little duck in a bag like a lapdog. The entire soundtrack is Queen. There’s a sequence where he dresses up as an astronaut. There’s a lot of romcom movies, I feel, that Suck. Like... they don’t really land the romance OR the comedy, but this one does. It completely knocks it out of the park. 

Ghost Shark (2013) - It’s my favorite Bad Movie after The Room (2003). Gather round, friends, and watch a spectral shark materialize in the middle of a slip-n-slide.

Deacon is a trans man unable to get top surgery so he wears a binder sometimes but most of the time— trans tape.

Deacon stole his T and Viago helped him with his T-shots for a while until he felt confident enough to do them on his own

Ashes!Deacon (au) is also unable to get top surgery but also unable to bind and unaware of what binding is due to his current living situation. Viago also helped him with his T-shots before he was separated from his flatmates in Wellington and got lost in the wasteland of Ashes Town

Haze (my partner’s character) has been helping out Deacon since they met and formed a group with folk. Haze is gonna get him trans tape and see if he can get Deacon top surgery in Hell so he doesn’t have to pay and give his information to the Vault/Stable medbay
