[Flag One ID: A six-striped flag that goes from dark red, to mid red, to light yellow, to mid orange, to dark brown, to mid yellow. In the center there is a white Venus symbol with 6 lines coming out of it, making it resemble the Sun. /end ID]
[Flag Two ID: A six-striped flag that goes from dark red, to mid red, to light yellow, to mid orange, to dark brown, to mid yellow. /end ID]

Transolar / Transsolar : A term for those who are masculine women / girls, those who are transitioning to masculine womanhood / girlhood, or something similar to that.
Transfloral: A term for those who are feminine men / boys, those who are transitioning to feminine manhood / boyhood, or something similar to that.
Other experiences that could fall under these terms:
Someone who is transitioning away from their AGAB, but is not changing their femininity / masculinity presentation at all, only their gender.
Masculine translunars and feminine transtidals (and similar groups)
Cisgender people who are also transsexual (identifying with or transitioning to a different sex while still identifying as their AGAB)
Trans people who are masculine women or feminine guys, and want to have a specific label that describes the experience
Much, much more!
These terms are called transsolar and transfloral for a similar reason to translunar and transtidal; the sun and flowers are tied together, just like the moon and tides are! These terms can be considered subterms of those labels, but that isn't necessary for every person. You don't have to identify with translunar or transtidal to be transfloral or transsolar.

I caught up to Fool Night to chapter 41 and holy shit, the horror in this manga is absolutely amazing. The imagery, the atmosphere, the existential threat and how close it feels to real life despite the fantastical element is incredible.
You got the cruelty of the human furniture industry that grows forests out of children
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then of course you also have the horror of transfloration itself. How it slowly eats away at you, robs you of your bodily functions, and as if that wasn't bad enough, the people around you try to hasten the dehumanizing process by cutting away the last bits of humanity you have left. It doesn't leave these people cold either. They are still handling human flesh after all and often the transflored people can still talk, but the workers need to pay their bills too and can't afford to lose their job or they will be the ones dying or electing to be transflored. So they instead push down any emotion until they become numb and dehumanize the patients like everyone else.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And we also got a good dose of classical dystopian horror a la Fallout and Brave New World, where the government cheerfully tries to get you to sell your body

it's obvious that the reader is meant to question the incredibly cruel system of transfloration and everything surrounding it, and we have a main character doubting (& feeling guilty) about her active role taking part in it, but the current objective for the group of mcs is still 'we need to protect the transfloration institute'. and i am automatically suspicious of a story that frames the only widespread opposition movement to the opressive system as villainous (and extremely so. without knowing their motives? are they even purely ideological? the leader gives a speech next chapter so maybe that's something).
Tumblr media
like this is. yes in this specific instance is the institute being framed for something they didn't do? sure. i just literally don't think it matters even a little bit because the whole process that they DO carry out reguarly is also unethical and terrible.there's no stakes for me in clearing the institutes name. idgaf about them i just want ivy to rest
anyways art is gorgeous though (look)

princehood (link); “a gender related to princehood”
princely (link); “a gender that is princely”
princian (link); “a gender related to princehood, and/or the aesthetics of being a prince. It may be connected to masculine presentation and aesthetics, but it does not have to be.”
princestek (link); “a gender related to being a prince”
princegender (link); “a gender that feels connected to princehood , prince like things or just being a prince”
feminine boy:
casiboy/lopboy (link); “a term for those who experience masculinity in a feminine way. This is not exclusive to any gender identity and can be used by anyone. It could refer to gender, or it can refer to anything else, like presentation.”
piuttoboy (link); “a feminine gender for people who still identify as boys. This gender can be used by anyone of any assigned birth. A piuttoboy is someone who identifies as feminine but still connects with the boy label.”
felboy/maiboy (link); “a term that describes feminine men/boys. This term is intentionally broad, as any man/boy that considers themselves feminine in any way may use this. Not usually a gender identity in itself; instead it refers to presentation, mannerisms, and/or personal identification with femininity in some form.”
aster boy (link); “a boy who feels a feminine gender presentation that ties into their gender identity, specifically feminine in the way that girls are masculine.”
plutoboy/plutoguy/plutoman (link); “a broad term that describes a connection to femininity and/or being feminine, and a connection to boyhood/manhood and/or being a boy/man/guy.”
finboy (link); “a gender that is both feminine-in-nature and male, or being both a feminine-in-nature gender and a male gender”
transfloral (link); “a term for those who are feminine men/boys, those who are transitioning to feminine manhood/boyhood, or something similar to that.”
melle (link); “a gender term for males who have no alignment towards masculinity, and instead have a feminine alignment, with or without the existence of other nonmasculine alignments too.”
venuboy (link); “a label connected to hyperfeminity and being a boy/non-woman! it may be tied to things that tie into "traditional femininity" (e.g. pinks, makeup, & soft themes!)”
cenifloral (link); “a person who is a feminine man/boy or is moving towards feminine manhood/boyhood”
masculine girl:
iris girl (link); “a girl who feels a masculine gender presentation that ties into their gender identity, specifically masculine in the way that boys are feminine.”
mingirl (link); “a gender that is both masculine-in-nature and female, or being both a masculine-in-nature gender and a female gender”
transolar/transsolar (link); “a term for those who are masculine women/girls, those who are transitioning to masculine womanhood/girlhood, or something similar to that.”
mascgirl/tomboy (link); “a term for gender non-conforming fingender and fiaspec people who present masculinely in some way. This often refers to clothing and external appearance, but can also sometimes refer to the way one acts, the way one communicates, what interests or hobbies one has, etc. This term has more to do with gender presentation than gender identity, but some tomboys may be mingender.”
femil (link); “a gender term for females who have no alignment towards femininity, and instead have a masculine alignment, with or without the existence of other nonfeminine alignments too.”
margirl (link); “a label connected to hypermasculinity and being a girl/non-man! it may be tied to things that tie into "traditional masculinity" (e.g. blues, sports, & cooler themes!)

so felt w the transmasc dysphoria thing. I don’t know how to quite describe it?? but yeah it definitely makes me slightly uncomfortable, for some weird reason or other. which is funny since I’ve used it b4 😭 but uh!! transboyyy :33 n boybutch r so comfy lesboy too. if I had to pick a trans- term persay tho it’d probably be transtidal honestly? it’s still not a perfect fit but I like it enough c:
I FORGOT ABOUT TRANSTIDAL, THAT AND TRANSFLORAL ARE PEAK ME.
I guess it's because i've never really loved the word "masculine" or "masc" for myself. i've experienced so much toxic masculinity in my life that even though i have so much love and respect for healthy masculinity and the diversity of masculinity, and i don't in any way believe that masculinity itself is bad, i still just feel like whenever i refer to myself as masculine, i feel like i have to perform toxic masculinity. when i think of the word masc for myself, it feels like i'm calling myself like just any cis guy, but im not- my "masculinity" is inherently colored by my experience as a butch and femme GIRL and transmasc just doesn't feel right for that. but transfloral and transtidal are so amazing they feel great asdfasdf
