A few little sketches of some possible school uniforms for mage schools/learning centers for magic/etc. :0c Though because Nanyevimi is so scattered and disconnected, it'd actually vary much more by region (like not everywhere would have a cultural concept of what a suit jacket or neck tie looks like lol), so it's probably unrealistic for so many of them to follow too many traditional Uniform Conventions from cultures in our world, etc. But, still, fun to mess around with designs, and think about which would be most fun to wear/what school you'd go to just based off the clothing lol~

would you have any sewing patterns that resemble thses kinds of dresses that i could take a look at? i prefer to improvise my sewing patterns but it does help to have a peek at existing ones <3

I had a look through my vintage pattern envelopes (you can too at bit.ly/mypatternenvelopes) and they are all of the wrong era for that very high, almost empire-waist, just-below-the-bust seam that to me screams late 90s/early 2000s. If you're willing to buy an old pattern, I would suggest searching "McCall's Evening Elegance patterns" which was their formalwear collection in the late 90s. 2182, 2692 and 9287 all have that similar shape and high waist seam, and are recent enough that they should be available for 10ish bucks on eBay or Etsy.

Alternatively, if you're used to starting from scratch, you can take basically any princess-seamed strapless bodice pattern (the first one in this bodice tutorial by Shapes Of Fabric should work), make a quick muslin from scraps to work out where you want that high waist seam to sit, and then do a simple panelled skirt with seams that continue from the princess seams of the bust.

Palm Beach Inspired Curtains

Hey ya'll! I love these bold and bright curtains, they can be a beautiful statement piece! These patterns remind me of Palm Beach, especially the green ones! There's lots of bamboo and chinoiserie patterns and some LoveShackFancy patterns too. 

There are 24 swatches, including a plain white, pink, and blue swatch. These could go perfect in any room!

My 2024 Fashion Predictions

(In no specific order)

1. Casual Armor

Wearing armor or armor-inspired pieces with everyday outfits.

2. Pinstripe

Not just in pants, but also skirts, jackets, tops, and shoes.

3. Bright Shoes

Likely paired with an outfit that just barely matched, if at all.

4. Capelets/ Ponchos

With a re-emerging inspiration from gothic and Victorian style clothing, these will bring silhouettes that are very reminiscent of these elegant references.

5. Neck Bows

This isn’t too revolutionary, I just think that it’s a logical evolution of the trends we’ve seen in 2023.

6. Statement Necklaces

As opposed to layered necklaces, I think we will see more people being drawn to large, chunky, and possibly childish neckwear.

7. Mixed Patterns

Fabrics that don’t seem to match at first or purposefully wearing clashing patterns.

8. Chrome

I also think this is just a natural evolution of trends, but it goes along well with the popular focus on retro styles of the past.

9. Slashes

As opposed to circular-shaped holes and rips in clothing, I believe more strategic, linear slashes in clothing will gain popularity.

10. Focus on Fabrics

With an increasing awareness about polyester, as well as long-lasting clothing items, people will likely focus more on the quality of fabrics they choose to wear.

11. Cheetah Print

Will likely be a staple in 2010s-inspired aesthetics, which will come in strong.

12. Big Hats

Dramatic, statement hats will add more layers and visual interest to outfits of any occasion.

Yeah didn't get to do the new leggings OR the shit I threw in a box to deal with later (not like they sell on the table anyway)

But I did get my endcap reset and the new shit isn't a pain in the ass to recover and restock

The overnight girl was back so my area was recovered! Even the NikeShitë! Even though she did them... all wrong... like infuriatingly wrong...

But I didn't have time to deal with that shit anyway bc my endcap took all fucking day

And then I had to cram like 6 boxes under NewLady's table bc I have NO ROOM at all and I actually put shit behind shit unlike her who only puts one row of boxes so it LOOKS like shes full but shes not. Cram that shit bitch. Anyway she's gonna have to deal bc we have the same number of items just different VOLUMES of it like 30 items per section is normal, but say I get ~200 stock and she gets ~900 stock per item. She can put shit in the steel or under her FOUR GIANT TABLES I get one. Just one. So fuck you it's called working with other people and being a team. I didnt say shit all the times NetflixCoworker needed to put shit in my table space when I actually had room.

From what I've seen, the new leggings are kinda cute. The Sharter's stuff is like "cute strawberry and cherry outfit" (too cute), "pretty blue outfit", "UGLIEST FUCKING FLORAL YOUVE EVER SEEN outfit" like 😭 every goddamn time they throw one ugly floral like come on... no one wants these stop...
