Anyone know a decent website other than eBay to buy Digimon tri merch from? Specifically I am looking for the jewels they released for Koushiro and Yamato. I already have the one for Tai. There's one on eBay but it's $60. Which... I mean I might buy... But I would like other options. Thanks in advance!

Hey! just continuing from my Yamato/ Taichi friendship question :). while tri. is also written by a different team and is given to us after fifteen years, it is still created by Toei and its writers had plenty of research done. This character relation chart is taken from the psp game created by Bandai- a merch company. As a matter of fact, it has knownigly went against the intentions of the original writers and the canon on some points. of course, everything is up for interpertations otherwise:)

I still headcanon that Koushiro is Taichi’s best friend and vice versa... but I also headcanon that Yamato and Taichi are in love so I don’t know how credible that makes me :P

My Commentary:

Like, some of the obvious POP culture references / in-jokes some of the other ‘outfits’ had aside, most of these outfits actually looked quite reasonable (and comfy, imo!! - which is pretty much the point I think Koushiro was going for?!??) and I could easily see Koushiro wearing some/most any of these canonically at various points of Koushiro’s tri. and post-tri. teen-aged lifetime, even just purely for fun. Heck, I’ve seen fan-artists (including on the J.P.N end and even in / using specifically their Tri-esque designs / outfits) draw Koushiro in MULTIPLE outfits like this!

{I kind of think the “King” outfit SHOULD stay, though.}

Also, the kimono choice is, like, fine? Koushiro’s Japanes---?

OK but Mainly I want to know which animator/Clothing Designer (as I’ve seen exist from some Tri and etc. Staff listings) specifically was involved in this specific segment / outfit set because they were clearly having a BLAST designing Koushiro like 20+ random outfits and honestly, as a Koushiro fan who has supported Koushiro since finding this series in my childhood I CAN’T actually blame them?? (You don’t even HAVE to use / consider every single one there, even TRI!KOUSHIRO doesn’t canonically use all of these!!)

I could also relate everything to do with motor skills and fine motor skills involving clothing and Autism when it comes to certain Autistic head-canons I may have, including buttoning clothes, but that might be a topic for another day...

Like, maybe I wouldn't comment on it so much myself if other people didn't constantly keep bringing it up and claiming the dub "obviously" had a (seeming) "~vendetta~" against Koushiro / "Koushiro's fans" (why is it always the ones not focused on / creating for Koushiro commenting that???) / sub fans, (which has already been proven false multiple times by comments directly from dub staff themselves since even before Tri happened - more than one dub staff members voiced appreciation for him including clearly his dub V.A. Mona herself, who has talked about the role way more than once including in recent years!) and I'm pretty sure Joshua Seth (Tai's V.A.) has acknowledged / voiced clear support for Koushiro / Izzy too, but you know (Toxic Stan-doms)

I'm more aiming to basically just actually compile Koushiro merch refs myself and I have more references of recent stuff with name references on to add to that list too (thanks J.P.N side of Stan-dom) but Yup

That's coming much later though mainly because I'm just exhausted this is even still such an "Issue" at all.

As someone who eventually (slowly) learnt to speak in Eng myself, "Koushirou" to me reads as "Kou-shi-ROO" if I'm not thinking of the direct audio (which I have heard...), and I'm pretty sure THAT is also more likely why U.S. dub went with "Koushiro" ("Kou-shi-roh") spelling instead. (There's also been instances where 'official' J.P.N merch and caps spelled it as "Kohshiroh", too!! Like! I'm Just Saying It Happens)

My 2nd~etc. choices usually include: Hikari, Taichi (depending); then Mimi, Sora or Meiko, {in that order} also depending on how much I liked their merch/arts featured, but I usually don't go for them right away. Jou can also depend on the merch item. I usually don't go for Yamato or Takeru at all, but if they were included in a set I wouldn't complain {I really appreciate when I can buy in bulk/lots}.) (I missed out on being able to get basically any of this merch, so again, if anyone's selling, feel free to contact! Please have a link to your feedback ready/available if you do.)
