(I don't have a ton of funds to spare lately, but if I can manage to indulge just a bit, I do like to collect Koushiro items where I can. My 2nd~etc. choices usually include: Hikari, Taichi (depending); then Mimi, Sora or Meiko, {in that order} also depending on how much I liked their merch/arts featured, but I usually don't go for them right away. Jou can also depend on the merch item. I usually don't go for Yamato or Takeru at all, but if they were included in a set I wouldn't complain {I really appreciate when I can buy in bulk/lots}.) (I missed out on being able to get basically any of this merch, so again, if anyone's selling, feel free to contact! Please have a link to your feedback ready/available if you do.) [This list is mainly being compiled for my own reference as I track any Koushiro relevant items as well as items of other Favorites, but I won't mind if others find it useful.]

(Gathered by me for reference; It's been a while since I researched this, but maybe you'll become Informed by following these {and I do plan to search around again}...)

Also re-blogging for my own reference since I'm, you know, a Donor child, and wanting to research more about how the laws surround such in other countries, including for the series I create fan works for.

(Some of the language may lean slightly bionormative in the reporting, so it is important to keep this in mind. Please note I am compiling these for my own reference, too.)

Children born through Artificial Insemination Speak Up {2003} "The Ministry of Health reports that {Donor children} births have been reported since the mid-seventies in Japan. While statistics record about 10,000 such children, the numbers could be much higher."

"There is no correct record on the number of AID children {Donor children, etc} as laws now do not stipulate that parents and doctors record such births. We contend the actual numbers could be between 100 to 200 a year," says Tomoko Kashiwage, a director in the infertility section at the ministry.

(...) Experts are now supporting the passage of a law in 2004 that would allow children above 15 years the right to the disclosure of personal details of donors of sperm and eggs in their birth.

(for conveniences’ sake, I use the US version, “Koushiro” which has also been used in some official merch/usages on the J.P.N side. (Most obvious example being Tri {Saikai}) Please respect my choice and understand instead of bothering me to or demanding I change it, because I won't, thank you) {As I have made close to 50+ postings (likely now 100+) about Koushiro it would be difficult to go back and edit any particular posting with any particular spelling, and I’m most used to the US version’s way from his full name; “Koushiro ‘Izzy’ Izumi”.} (I do leave out ‘Izzy’ when I’m indicating the J.P.N version specifically. I note it can be ‘Koushiro[u]’ when listing out characters included/etc.)
