The way that Douglas Adams writes women feels realistic. If the men in their lives get a little too weird, they disappear for a while. Oh, Trillian hasn't been mentioned for ages? That's because she's dating Thor now. Trillian deserves side adventures that are just as weird as the rest of the cast, they just don't get mentioned because they're not strictly PG-13.
