(via 'Garbage' to blame Ukraine for massive Twitter outage, experts say)
However, Ciaran Martin, professor at Oxford University's Blavatnik School of Government told the BBC that explanation was "wholly unconvincing" and "pretty much garbage."
Prof Martin - former head of the UK's National Cyber Security Centre - says it looks as if Twitter was targeted by what's known as a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack, where hackers flood a server with internet traffic to prevent users from connecting to a website.
"It's not that sophisticated - it's a very old technique," Mr Martin told Radio 4's Today programme.
"I can't think of a company of the size and standing internationally of Twitter that's fallen over to a DDoS attack for a very long time," he added.
He said the incident at Twitter "doesn't reflect well on their cyber security."

I thought after 10+ years of war and especially 2+ years of all out genocidal massacre accompanied by fascist frenzie inside russia itself, and then especially after Navalny's death, his team, now led by his wife, would have the common human decency to at least stop whining about how mean Ukrainians are being to them on the internet, and how it's only personally Putin alone who is waging the war and massacring people, and how bad Ukrainians are for hurting their precious great russian feelings... but no. I guess that only dying from a missile strike on their home, having lost friends and relatives at the frontline/under occupation/to similar missile strikes, can a Ukrainian understand all the depth of the pain of a russian's hurt fee-fees for not being worshipped as a saint because that russian personally at some point thought to themself or EVEN whispered under their breath, "no to war". Or "** ** ***", as they say.
Burn in hell. The few russians who do actually do something, unlike you, deserve a better representation. And those other few who are afraid to do something but also oppose the war, at least have the humanity to not whine about Ukrainians not liking to be genocided.
The rest of you belong in the same hell pit as Putin.
#the way navalnaya is praised as some sort of hero while all she's been trying to do is to stop other countries from helping ukraine#while doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WHATSOEVER to stop putin#who she's solely blaming for the war#the sheer audacity is incredible

Okay so we have this huge problem with forgetting about everything that’s happened by the time the next election rolls around so I’d like to keep a running list of things as they’re happening to help remind us when the 2026 midterms roll around. And please add to this if I’ve missed anything.
January 2025:
Donald Trump pardoned 1500 people who participated in the insurrection of January 6th, including those who violently assaulted and nearly killed police officers.
Donald Trump has declared that trans and non-binary people don’t exist.
Donald Trump is working towards firing everyone in the government who isn’t loyal to him.
Donald Trump has effectively fired everyone who he claims is an “illegal DEI hire” …whatever that means
Donald Trump pulled out of the Paris Climate Agreement and the World Health Organization
Congress are trying to pass the Laken Riley Act to, effectively, round up every immigrant in the country, including LEGAL immigrants
Donald Trump removed caps on prescription drug prices.
Donald Trump wants to withhold federal aid to help combat the LA wildfires and help the thousands of people who have been displaced and lost their homes.
The Department of Justice has put a hold on all civil rights cases.
Donald Trump has cut off aid to Ukraine.
Laken Riley Act has been passed by Congress and is awaiting being signed into law by the President. Here’s the breakdown of the votes: House Senate
Donald Trump purged a dozen inspectors general from the federal government and intends to replace them all with people loyal to him.
Pete Hegseth has been confirmed as Secretary of Defense. Here’s the breakdown of how the Senate voted. Note, it was a 50-50 tie that JD Vance had to break.

Donald Trump imposed a 25% tariff on Colombia after the Colombian government turned away two airplanes carrying migrants. Columbia has retaliated by imposing a 25% tariff of its own on US goods.
Donald Trump has also issued a travel ban for Colombian citizens and revoked visas from Colombian migrants coming to the US.
Donald Trump has now backed off the tariffs and other threats against Colombia. Note for future reference: this comes just hours after Trump made the threat in the first place and he and the Colombian president got into a big fight on social media.
Nearly 1,000 migrants were arrested mostly in Chicago on January 26th by ICE and ICE has been told to meet a quota of 75 migrant arrests every day.
Donald Trump rescinded an anti-discrimination executive order from Lyndon B. Johnson
Donald Trump signed an executive order banning trans people from serving in the military and also ordered that people who were discharged for refusing to get mandatory vaccines be reinstated.
Donald Trump has frozen all federal grants to institutions.
After pressure from state governments, activist groups, and the general public, the White House has rolled back some of the freezes on federal funding.
Representative Andy Ogles (R-TN) has proposed a change to the 22nd Amendment to allow Donald Trump, specifically, to serve a third term.
Donald Trump is trying to fire all federal employees who don’t want to return to the office (work-from-home saves the federal government millions of taxpayer dollars in overhead). He also sent an email to federal employees saying that if they’re not loyal to him, they’ll be investigated.
Donald Trump has signed the Laken Riley Act into law.
Donald Trump has said he doesn’t think Palestinians should be allowed to return to Gaza but instead should be sent to Egypt and Jordan.
Native Americans have been targeted by ICE raids.
Donald Trump has ordered undocumented immigrants to be sent to Guantanamo Bay
Donald Trump signed an executive order to expand federal funding for school choice programs. [x]
Donald Trump signed an executive order saying that he will deport visa-holding students who protest against Israel. [x]
Donald Trump has blamed DEI for the plane crash that killed 67 people in Washington D. C. [x]
Donald Trump signed an executive order that schools should no longer teach about racism and discrimination. And that schools should only teach history that is “patriotic” [x]
Florida Representative Anna Paulina Luna wants to add Donald Trump’s face to Mount Rushmore. [x]
Trump’s Department of Education has called book bans a hoax. [x]
The Department of Justice has barred certain news outlets from receiving information from the Pentagon. [x]
The Trump administration has fired multiple FBI officials who investigated the January 6th insurrection. [x]
February-June 2025
I’ll keep adding to this list as new things come up and, again, please feel free to add anything I’ve missed. I know that in this world of constant news it’s easy to forget, so let’s give our future selves a little help!

The rest of the article; it’s equally as important

#americans see a war and will often protest it from the comfort of their homes#sure they might engage online or at a protest#but it’s a surface level issue to a lot of americans#because it’s so far away or it messes with my life or the war makes me feel bad#they often don’t have skin in the game#and to make matters worse a lot of americans love the blame game#russia invaded Ukraine. that’s a fact. but now they blame Ukraine for continuing a war#a war that if Ukraine stopped fighting will result in more war and death because that’s how the Russian government is#and americans will sit and try to force the ‘anti war is the way to go’ narrative anyway#timothy snyder#russian invasion of ukraine#ukraine#munich

You know, something almost universally uncontroversial in American politics since basically world war 2 is being opposed to the Russian government as long as it remains undemocratic and ruled by a dictatorial single party rule.
How we achieve that and whether or not that makes us hypocrites and whether or not and how we wish to make peace with the government of Russia have been pieces of contention, yes. However, people on both sides of the political extremes as well as those in the middle in the United States of America can usually agree that Vladimir Putin is bad. He is horrible. We cannot agree with what he’s doing. He’s a thug, he’s unstable, he’s a dictator.
But President 47 has chosen to pretend like the war in Ukraine was the Ukrainians’ fault and apologize for his dictator buddy. A war that Putin started and has caused his own people to suffer for greatly. Russia is physically running out of men. In addition to killing thousands of Ukrainian civilians, Putin is throwing his own draft aged male citizens to their deaths constantly. For no justifiable reason. And President 47 is blaming Ukraine for that. The country working in self defense that was invaded by an idiot dictator for no justifiable reason who is throwing his own citizens into a meat grinder to feed his own ego.
This has me goddamned furious if you couldn’t tell. Not only is he trying to butter us up for potentially abandoning our European allies, not only is he blaming an invaded people for the war being forced upon them, but he’s further trying to align himself with dictators.
I hope to god that the republicans and 47 supporters with enough of a spine to speak out against this today keep speaking out against this in the future because this is unacceptable behavior from every corner of the political spectrum in this country. This is infuriating and unacceptable on so many levels.

so there's a lot of rhetoric around delegitimising jewsih people as the primary target of the holocaust if not outright removing them from the conversation. there's a plethora of reasons but one thats being overlooked is russia.
state sponsored troll farms have been pushing narratives in order to push attention away from their actions in ukraine, syria and the sahel. when it comes to the holocaust it goes back to the soviet era propaganda about the Great Patriotic War which is what the soviets called world war two. it was taught in school books that slavs were the true target of the holocaust because 24 million soviets died during world war two which if you just look at raw numbers will absolutely appeal to the various flavours of tankies and antisemites (tho that venn diagram is nearly a perfect circle).
the problem with this as a historical fact is its largely fabricated to feed russian nationalism. firstly many of the soviets sent to concentration camps were from conquered territories like ukraine and were sent because they were jewish, not slavic. secondly the vast majority of deaths on the soviet side were due to colossal failures in command essentially throwing soldiers to their deaths, starving civilians to the bone and utter disregard for logistics. thirdly the underpinning of the 24 million slav deaths is ignore the ethnic diversity of the soviet union and ultimately push the narrative that it was mostly russians who suffered in ww2. cossacks, chechyens, ingush, siberians, everyone suddenly became soviet which meant slav which meant as head of the republics they were then renamed as russians.
they all became russian to the nationalist history. all so russia can claim to be the ones who defeated the nazis while the satellite states sat on their hands. which justifies russian invasion in order to 'save' the baltics and eastern europe and ultimately russian control because the locals couldn't be trusted to do it right.
lastly the whole point of the holocaust was the eliminate the jewish people and anyone the nazis blamed them for corrupting, lgbt people were a jewish plot to pervert the family order, the communists were a jewish plot to take over the world (even tho the soviets were pogromming their jews at the same time), disabled people were a jewish plot to poison the aryan genes. this is why even when the nazi war effort was on its knees and berlin was in sight of the allies, they were still sending jews to the camps with resources that could have been used for defense. because the point of the war wasn't just to conquer europe. to the nazis the goal of the war was the exterminate the jews.
this is how numbers can be used to lie so anyone using numbers to 'debunk' the holocaust is pushing a dangerous message. this is how you will know its russian disinformation when the rhetoric moves beyond it wasn't about the jews and starts trying to name who the holocaust was actually about

I'm asking this in good faith, but this is something I'm genuinely confused about. Regarding the Holodomor, or the Soviet famine of 1930 in general, why does it matter if it was a genocide or not? At best it seems to be a natural famine exacerbated by poor decision making, and while that is far different from a genocide, I don't understand why that specification matters, because it was still made worse by Soviet intervention, unless I'm getting the facts wrong which I probably am.
It matters to the Western propagandists who were insistent for decades despite zero evidence that the famine was used to commit atrocities against the people of Ukraine. The refrain the whole time was that once the Soviet archives were made public, they'd finally have the proof they needed. The archives are eventually opened, and surprise surprise, there's not only no evidence of the deliberate withholding of grain, there's evidence of significant amounts of food aid being sent to help alleviate the famine. The myth of a Ukrainian genocide began as Nazi propaganda and was adopted as part of the "double genocide" narrative by Western reactionaries after WW2 to downplay the crimes of the Nazis and to maintain a narrative about liberal opposition to "authoritarianism", painting Western capitalists as the "free world" fighting against both fascism and communism. (Don't ask them why they stopped fighting fascism after WW2 though.)
As for the human elements of the famine, it is also part of the typical Western narrative, even among those who admit the Holodomor was not a targeted anti-Ukrainian genocide and who admit that there were environmental factors, to try and put substantial amounts of blame on the Soviet collectivization of agriculture. I am not going to lie and say collectivization went smoothly with no issues, but you cannot ignore the factors of reactionary sabotage by kulaks (including the destruction of animals and grain and the outright murder of party officials) and the effects of Western sanctions and sabotage on the economic development of the USSR.
While some have argued that there was a complete "gold blockade" on the USSR during the famine and so the Soviet Union was forced to export grain to facilitate international trade, the blockade was never enforced by all Western nations at the same time and the Soviets were still able to export gold and silver at various times throughout the 1920s. It is true, however, that gold reserves were stretched thin at the time and the Soviets simply didn't have enough gold to cover their international debts. Soviet gold mines had never been extraordinarily productive and the rest of the Soviet economy was still developing at the time, so grain was one of the few things that they expected to have in surplus. In addition, there were various other sanctions in place by 1930 that did limit who they could trade with and what they could trade with, but the export of grain was almost never restricted. The famine caught them off guard at a very bad time.
While international grain exports were restricted during the famine as grain was diverted to famine-stricken regions of the country (and grain imports were increased as well), the problems with hoarding only worsened as in the panic of the famine, kulaks sought to exploit the people and create a profitable black market on grain. A struggle against the kulaks coincided with worsening environmental effects and the spread of disease among both crops and humans.
The famine was not man-made, it was not entirely natural, and it was not the inevitable outcome of collectivization. It was a perfect storm of a variety of factors. Stalin was not some heartless monster condemning millions of Ukrainians to death for daring to defy the glorious Soviet Union. He was not some idiot who had no idea what he was doing, plunging the nation into famine out of ineptitude. He was not a stubborn maniac who refused to abandon failing economic policies even at the cost of human lives. He was a human being, one of many in charge of the Soviet Union, dealing with concurrent disasters as best as they could.

You know, that’s it. I will never ever try to convince westerns about how we Ukrainians suffer from genocide. I can’t believe I need to explain or convince anyone. I see how they just don’t care. That’s it. They don’t give a shit. I can be angry, fuck yeah, I am angry. I am mad. And we are alone. We all are alone. In our pain, suffering and genocide. People that support us are from countries that can be next if we can’t stand anymore. Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, etc.
All this shitty posts about Ukraine from westerns who say that we are nazis and other victim-blaming shit. I never felt this unsafe in the world. I never felt this bad knowing that nobody gives a shit. Politic is the biggest pool of crap I’ve ever seen. The truth is the world politics are full of corruption, hate, discrimination and shit. And who are they blaming? Us. They blame Ukrainians who are trying to survive everyday, who are standing against big aggressor.
Fuck this. I am done with trying to say something. World is silent. My scream goes to nowhere. Someone just don’t want to repost and spread information not to broke their page aesthetic. While we are dying because of imperialists.

I've seen at least one, but posts saying not to blame the people who didn't vote for Harris because whatever are fully in the wrong and they always will be.
You chose moral high grounding and purity culture over the possibility that our protests would work. You chose "she leaned too right in her campaign" over "Trump and the people who want to puppeteer him are going to get a lot of people killed." You chose the democrats being idiots over the republicans want a racist rapist.
You didn't choose? No, you had a choice. You used yours. If you chose not to vote because you wanted to use your non-vote as a voice to show the democrats that they have to win your vote, you're still going to get your face eaten by the leopards. They aren't going to hear you anyway.
Protests work on the left side of our shit-ass two party system because they at least pretend to care.
Here's just, off the top of my head, the things you decided were less important than telling the democratic party "No you have to be good enough":
Student Loan Forgiveness or Relief
Healthcare
Trans Rights
LGBTQIA Safety
Abortion rights
Palestine/Gaza
Ukraine
Industry Regulation(notice all those recalls on food lately?)
Cost of Living
Police Reform
Taxes
There's no such thing as a single-issue voter, not anymore. The right is diametrically opposed to making any of the above better for anyone, whether or not they voted for that shitstain, unless you're very rich, and very white, and a very straight man.
Honestly, if you voted for Jill Stein, at least you fucking voted. Her numbers won her absolutely nothing but at least you voted.
But no. "Don't vote for Harris because she's not good enough! She's running a campaign to secure moderate republicans!" Yea no fucking shit. That's what they've been doing for the last forever. Yea, it still sucks. But most moderate liberals who actually vote still struggle with that list up there. There's literally a democrat trans woman who just got voted in who wants to support Israel's genocidal campaign of murdering every Palestinian.
And you know what? If she sees that line, she might actually stop and think and move a little bit over to my perspective. Every conservative sees that line and immediately thinks "Yea kill the fuckin' brown people!" because they don't consider them fucking people.
If you didn't vote because you saw people saying Harris wasn't leftist enough, not liberal enough, she was a former prosecutor or the democrats haven't done enough for you in the last 4 years, you fell for the Russian psyop. You fell for the propaganda.
Does it suck that Harris wanted to court the swing states and their moderately conservative voting base over to vote for the first woman president? Yea, it's been a shitty idea for decades and they've been doing it for as long as I've been voting. Obama was the center-ist centerist ever, and he still got healthcare reform passed. He also drone striked a lot of people and gave banks billions of dollars when the financial sector faceplanted after trying to balance on a pin for the longest time.
I was gonna add a read-more or chop this up better but no. You get to read the whole thing. If you didn't vote, or you voted for trump, I want you gone. Unfollow me, block me, because you clearly either don't care enough to prevent our slide into authoritarianism and a fixed court for the next 60 years, or you actively hate me.

Trump pleads with his war criminal patron "Vladimir" over social media not to make him look too stupid as Trump gives everything to Russia, justifies past murder, and enables future murder. And Putin laughs at him.
Trump’s "peace plan" for Ukraine was always going to be to try to break the international order, give a victory to Putin, and blame Ukraine. The underlying reality is of a war Ukraine must fight because it is under continuous bloody assault.

Biden's visit has concluded. Israel has spent his entire visit trying to muddy the waters of what happened to Al Ahli Hospital and despite their cartoonish efforts, it hasn't worked

The Global South and especially West Asia know who is responsible for the bombing and no amount of AI voice recordings of 'Hamas operatives' can change that.
Israel war crimes continues to backfire on them even in America

Biden backing Israel has had an impact on America's image. Here's a Wall Street Journal article warning that America's continued support is turning countries towards Russia and China which is code for turning countries against America
An EU official said that the EU will pay a heavy price in the Global South for its continued, unabashed support for Israel

There's also speculation that the Biden administration knew about the bombing before it happened.
Countries that were/are allied with Israel continue to distance themselves from Israel like Russia. The reason I keep highlighting Russia is because the West has been running out of ammunition due to the Russia-Ukraine war and that includes Israel which is rumoured to have sent 80-90% of its ammunition to Ukraine. If this conflict lasts a long time, Israel will need to buy weapons and ammunition and Russia would be one of the countries they would turn to (same with China)

So, where are we in terms of the conflict? After days of waffling over a ground operation in Gaza, Israel postponed it until some time after Biden's visit and now we're back here again

Now I'm no military expert but constantly going back and forth on whether or not you'll invade Gaza is bound to do damage to your troops' morale. No wonder they're dealing with mass desertions while their citizens demonstrate on the streets. The Israeli leadership has no plan besides bombing Gaza.

I've seen people on twitter say that the hospital bombing was done deliberately to normalise IDF soldiers to mass civilian deaths in places like hospitals, schools, places of worship, etc. I don't know if I believe that - I think they wanted to push Iran and Hezbollah's buttons before hiding behind Biden. I don't think these people are thinking strategically.
As far as the possibility of regional war is concerned, all indicators show that the West preparing for the war to escalate

Seems to me the Israel has seen what Ukraine has received in just a year and a half of war. They're done receiving a paltry 3.8 billion every year and now prepared to drag out the conflict and I can't say I blame with Biden proposing a 100 billion package for both Ukraine and Israel. This will stretch America too thin as far as funding in concerned. Cracks are already showing

There are parts of the US government that is unhappy that the Ukraine war is losing attention. During the Ukraine war, you had parts of the government that wanted focus to shift from Russia to China. Because of that, the US government has spent the past year alternating between hostility to Russia and threatening to go to war with China over Taiwan. When Niger expelled France from within its borders, America was preparing to join that conflict until Mali and Burkina Faso declared they would fight with Niger. Now they're entering a third front in West Asia. In short, the mighty empire is expending a lot of resources right now and it is not the threat it was when it invaded Iraq and Afghanistan in the early 2000s.
At any rate, the ground invasion of Gaza won't go the way Israel and America hopes it will

The coalition of Palestinian resistance fighters are still patiently waiting for the IDF to come meet them. Their allies aren't backing down either

The reason I keep making these posts is to remind people that, while the genocide of the people of Gaza is horrifying, the war for the liberation of Palestine has not yet been lost.
Do not lose hope. From the river to sea, Palestine WILL be free

Flying under the radar a bit that Tulsi Gabbard released a video saying that "political elites" are trying to make nuclear war happen bc they have hidden fallout shelters to go to, and that we need to "end this madness" somehow (presumably, judging by her past comments blaming Zelenskyy, by giving up Ukraine to Russian imperialism).
Setting aside all the other ways where that's horrible, let's just take a look at the big picture:
in what sense is the Director of National Intelligence for the United States not a "political elite"???
#politics#uspol#remember when she ran for President as a Democrat five years ago?#disappointed but not surprised

The word "Nazi" has a specific meaning to normal people, but to vatniks and tankies it has five basic meanings…. "anybody I don't like" "anybody who disagrees with me" "anybody who's a citizen of a country that Russia wants to invade" "anybody who opposed or simply didn't want to live in one of the tyrannical regimes I simp for" "anybody who was oppressed or killed by one of my favourite mass murderers" EDITED TO ADD: a tankie clown reblogged this post and made some typically asinine comments, so I thought I'd elaborate a little bit…. Tankie clown: @well1x is either referring to the fact that a lot of the "deaths under communism" listed in "the black book of communism" (which gives us the 10 million number or whatever) are quite literally Nazis in WWII, or they're referring to the fact that the only people who have been made to deliberately suffer under communism have been literal Nazis and fascists (generally speaking)
Joining the tankie cult requires you to live in a delusional clown world and believe in a shit ton of made up (and often contradictory) nonsense that requires a considerable repertoire of mental gymnastics (and lies) to maintain….
@well1x is literally trying to claim that all victims of communism are "nazis and facists" (sic), which - back in the real world - is a very obvious lie. It's also a blatant example of victim blaming. For example, most of the millions of men, women and children who were robbed, raped, imprisoned, sent to the gulags, tortured, starved to death, executed or ethnically cleansed by Stalin's henchmen were not Nazis or fascists, and many were innocent of any crime. The vast majority of the population in Stalin's Soviet Union also had to put up with crippling poverty and backwardness, the brutal suppression of their religious and community life and the total lack of freedom.
Based on his comment, I doubt if the tankie clown has ever read "the black book of communism" and I'm also not sure why he mentions this book in particular, when there are thousands of others that thoroughly document the numerous crimes of the regimes tankies insist on being the useful idiots for, and I think it's safe to assume that he hasn't read any of those books either (in fact, I doubt if he's ever read any book whatsoever)…. Tankie clown: Karina then shows an image of (presumably) some kids in the Ukraine famine. This is completely unrelated though because this famine was not manufactured by the USSR as say the Irish famine was by the English. Can't really attribute natural disaster to "muh communism"
Again - a typical genocide-denying tankie lie.
Tankies generally start by saying that the holodomor was Nazi propaganda, and when you debunk that they claim it was just a natural disaster, and when that doesn't work they make up some bullshit about how millions of farmers who barely had enough to live on were wealthy kulaks who burned crops and slaughtered cattle (and therefore deserved to die). And when you point out that the red army actually broke into their homes and confiscated all their grain, every cow or chicken or any other food they had, and that the Soviet authorities blacklisted villages, sometimes purely for containing relatives of Ukrainian independence fighters, and prevented the villagers from leaving, shot them for even collecting ears of grain from the fields, and watched them starve to death - tankies will just deny it, or laugh, or pretend that millions of holodomor victims were all rich landlords (and therefore deserved to die) etc etc….
I've also never seen English people pretending that the Irish famine never happened, or claiming that the victims deserved it, or that it was a good thing, or that Britain should re-conquer Ireland. On the other hand, it's difficult not to notice Stalin's smooth-brained groupies swarming all over social media every day denying or justifying the holodomor and other crimes of Russia and the USSR, and hoping that Russia not only re-conquers Ukraine but also Finland, the Baltics, Poland and other countries it has invaded and occupied in the past.
There's no point trying to reason with tankies using facts, logic or common sense - and appealing to their sense of decency while they're simping for their favourite mass murderers is a complete waste of time. Tankie clown: Karina then says @well1x is defending imperialism(???), defending ethnic cleansing (which …what??), dreaming about labour camps and mass shootings (for Nazis yes plz), and does not do any praxis (based on?).
Yep - most tankie clowns claim to be communists while simultaneously embracing Russian fascism, supporting the imperialism of Russia’s mega-rich ruling class, mindlessly repeating the Kremlin's propaganda and cheerleading their war crimes. These morons seem to have no idea that the Russian Federation is an empire made up of many conquered states that Russia invaded, occupied and colonised in the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, or that Russia's war against Ukraine is a brutal attempt to reassert control over one of its former colonies. Russia's history of imperialism is at least as bad as that of any western country - and they're still doing it in the 21st century.
And I have seen countless examples of tankies speaking openly of wanting to mass murder their ideological enemies (or people they don't like) - because they also delude themselves into believing that if their revolutionary dreams ever came true, they'd be the ones doing the arresting and killing, despite the fact that in a real revolution they'd be about as much use as a fart in a spacesuit. They also have no idea how their small dick energy is somehow going to bring capitalism to its knees, which they'd inevitably end up crying about if it ever actually happened in reality.
Most of them are complete losers who spend the majority of their time sitting in their bedrooms huffing their own farts while reading tankie fan fiction online. Tankie clowns also claim to be against western imperialism and capitalism, despite living comfortable lives in western capitalist countries and owing everything they have to capitalism, including the freedom to use their capitalist smartphones or laptops to post anti-capitalist tantrums on social media platforms owned by western capitalists (thus helping these western capitalists to maximise their profits).
This is generally the sum total of a typical tankie's - ahem - "revolutionary" activity.
The vast majority of tankie clowns wouldn't dream of ever giving up the comforts of capitalism to move to one of the authoritarian shitholes they stupidly simp for, because then they might not be able to play their favourite capitalist video games anymore….
It's also a fact that Russia and the USSR have ethnically cleansed millions of people. Tankie clown: OP takes this insane train all the way to the station, and says @well1x is talking about anyone they don't like which… no. They're talking about the traditional Nazis.
No - they're falsely claiming that all victims of communism are Nazis and fascists. Learn to read…. Tankie clown: But also let's break this down. Who does OP think is being called a Nazi? "anyone I don't like" I mean I don't like Nazis, but I don't think everyone I don't like is one lmao. Funny tho, dude throws around the word tankie until it has no meaning.
In my experience, if you disagree with tankies about anything, they will pretty soon call you a fascist or a Nazi. It's they who throw around words like "fascist" and "Nazi" until they have no meaning (and most of them hilariously claim to be opposed to fascism while simultaneously supporting it - if it happens to be Russian). Tankie clown: - "anyone who disagrees with me" if you disagree that all human beings deserve to live a dignified life regardless of race/sex/gender identity/sexual orientation/age/disability/whatever then yeah you probably are a Nazi
Straw man. See above….
It's also amusing to observe the doublethink of somebody who apparently believes that "all human beings deserve to live a dignified life" while simultaneously thinking that when his favourite mass murderers oppressed and/or killed huge numbers of people it was perfectly OK…. Tankie clown: - "anyone who's a citizen of a country that Russia wants to invade" why the fuck are we talking about Russia? Believe it or not OP, USSR does not stand for "United Soviet States of Russia" lmaoooo
We're talking about Russia because most tankie clowns support Russian imperialism and mindlessly parrot the Kremlin's propaganda about how Russia's latest invasion of Ukraine is some sort of special de-nazification operation (see above). Tankies are generally so ignorant, gullible and stupid that they will literally believe anything the Kremlin tells them…. Tankie clown: - "anyone opposed or simply didn't want to live in one of the tyrannical regimes I simp for" tyrannical regimes lmao. These were only "tyrannical regimes" for people who actually were in fact Nazis.
Again - this is the kind of reality-denying nonsense I'd expect to hear from a tankie clown. One thing that really appalls people in the central and eastern European countries that experienced the reality of being occupied by the USSR and/or Russia, is the staggering ignorance and stupidity of western useful idiots who have no idea what it was actually like, and are not only dumb enough to join the tankie cult, but insist on westsplaining to the victims and their descendants about how the horrors they and their families suffered (usually for doing literally nothing) either didn't happen ("cuz the CIA made it all up") or claiming that they somehow deserved it ("cuz they were all Nazis/fascists/kulaks/slave owners").
Back in the real world, these were tyrannical regimes for tens of millions of ordinary people who had done nothing to deserve being subjected to tyranny…. Tankie clown: - "anyone who was oppressed or killed by one of my favourite mass murderers" yeah basically that's what I've been saying.
Thanks for proving my point….
And please note that smoking weed on your mum's sofa isn't actually going to bring the world revolution closer.
That was just a joke…. 🤣😂

I'm not anti-communist. I'm not communist, but I'm not anti-communist, and I vigorously support those that are trying to implement it without praising and white-washing genocide, like what's happening in East Turkestan.
How much time someone spends at a gun range is a completely mundane question that is not illegal to answer. The simple fact is that for all you talk about violent revolution being the only answer, literally none of you are willing to actually do anything like that. "If told you I'd have to kill you" is dumb when a guy tries to imply to a girl at a bar he's a secret agent and it's a bad excuse for not being able to discuss literally anything about what you're actually doing to make your preferred political system a reality. You will never, given a hundred million years, do half as much as a concert, and I don't even think the concert achieves much of anything to begin with, just more than literally nothing.
Imagine taking the military's side against student protestors lol. You must love what's happening to Palestinian activists in the US, eh? I assume you support the physical and cultural annihilations of Muslims given your support of China, so it all fits.
What a bizarre attitude to have. It's inconceivable to me that you must only lionize historical revolutions based on if they succeeded or not. This is especially strange given how, like, the USSR collapsed into a kleptocracy to the point that a big part of sanctions against them over Ukraine was taking away their personal yachts. The Soviet Union objectively failed as hard as it's possible to fail, the whole 'we will bury you' thing fell flat on it's ass. And even if you wanted to blame that on the US or whatever, well, okay, then I guess the Hungarian revolution also gets a pass because it had enemies working against it, and really "student protestors lose against a hyper-militarized foreign country invading it" seems like the better excuse of the two.
On the contrary, I object to all imperialism, which makes contrarians who write love letters to the imperialism of non-American countries feel hurt and betrayed while I continue trying to make the entire world a better place and not just use the crimes of my country as a grift.
You can call me a transphobic trans woman if you like, but I'm red because I call out things actual transphobes say, such as:

If you need any other points on transfeminism or leftist organizing let me know, I do my best to educate you troglodytes for the sake of bettering yourselves because I truly believe that with a lot of hard work you're capable of digging out that tiny shred of humanity in you and slowly building yourself into someone who deserves better than to be spat on when people pass you in the street. If not I'm afraid that when the revolution does come and society has been successfully collectivized the only job assignment you'll be fit for is licking the dog piss off of fire hydrants.

hello, I hope you are doing well. this might be a weird question, but i am wondering as someone with very limited understanding, why has ukraine garnered a lot of public support from western countries the past few years? You don’t have to answer this if you don’t want to!
i been trying find answer for this for bit. of course answer is that ukraine is eu nato hopeful and therefore asset to be used in west eternal blood fued against russia. but why the public, including people who see beyond propaganda for thing like palestine, continue to support ukraine i don’t know. i have written out several responses to this and none of them seem right. i don’t know how people in the west look away from 11 years of genocide and are able to blame russia and donbass for the war escalating in 2022. i just don’t know.

The point of NATO is not to "help" anyone but its own warlords and oligarchs and their imperialist interests abroad. The reason NATO isn't "helping" Ukraine more is because a) they don't want WW3 (yet) and b) because its leaders are perfectly fine using it as a battleground to test out weapons and try to carve out a sphere of influence against a peer competitor but nothing more. Ukraine never had any chance of being an equal or even junior partner in NATO's imperialist project. It's a patsy that will be used, destroyed, and discarded like so many other countries before it and their craven, comprador ruling class that honestly believed they had a shot at imperialist membership if they just kept asking nicely and kept maintaining their hardline stance against Russia are to blame for it. Zelenskyy looks so pissed in that image because he's realized how much of a fucking fool he's been played for.
