Twitter starting off as an innocent extravert who just wants to make friends but slowly becoming toxic and controlling. But nowadays they're just a soulless husk of who they used to be, becoming a cyborg named X who wants to control every aspect of their users' lives.

Youtube being the cool, rebellious kid that everyone wanted to be, but grew up to become a corporate shill who only acts like who they used to be so they can still seem 'hip'.

Meanwhile, Tumblr was just a dorky fandom kid that everyone made fun of, but later everyone realized was actually kinda funny and chill, but when they ask to hang out with Tumblr again, they just scare everyone off with the most weird ass in-jokes that make them look insane except to a select few people who will find it the most hilarious shit on the planet

My Dad got a data breach warning from his Internet security. Telling him that his details had been sold.

It turned out that the breach was Twitter. Which with the flaming dumpster fire of a website being what it is. I'm not surprised it was Twitter.

So I deactivated both of our accounts instead of just logging out, and uninstalling the app, and my Dad has spent the afternoon changing anything with the same password as his Twitter account. So honestly if you have other sites that share a password with your Twitter, it might be worth changing them to be on the safe side.

Sometimes I think about the time my Twitter was suspended because during an E3 event announcing some BotW news and Splatoon stuff, I changed my header to “Nintendo OWNS my ASS” and twitter staff claimed that was impersonation and I had to call a support line to get it reactivated.

And then when I was fully banned because my friend posted a meme about a character stuffing him and I, a very funny teen used to tumblr, replied to him with “I will kill you with my teeth” which was cited by twitter to be a serious threat of harm and harassment to another person.

There’s just something cathartic seeing what’s become of twitter now. That was god saving me from whatever fresh hell is going on there now.

Side note:

I think they really banned me because I was the funniest guy on there. They had to be rid of me before that post could take off.

Also:

Got the worlds funniest message any time I tried to post on the app, delete messages, or edit my profile LMAO.
