god, the deku vs bakugo fight here was real good for a honen like this (bot it won't be anything comapred to the run vs yukio fight in a future season of ao no exorcist)

as much as i love MAN ON A MISSION and how theirs songs are really hype, i just find this OP… a little… unfitting? idk, i think it fits more with the start of the war arc??? eh that's just me

also ARE WE NOT DOING THE OVERHAUL ARC??? that was one (if not my) favorite arc :(

Honestly, the S6 OP song is SO GOOD and the visuals are STRONG, def my fave so far (but like, Super Beaver's songs are all great)

Shigaraki's backstory is just so real and i wished this kind of situation was touched on more by the series, because the literal power dynamics between heroes-civilians-villains and powered vs unpowered is something i really like when it comes to the superpower/superhero genre

god i am not really excited for the full blast of the war arc because it's just fight after fight after fight :( and it's not like they're changing up their strategy from "physically beat them into submission"

LIP×LIP is going to release a new single album!

The single album will consist of two songs, LOVE&KISS and この世界の楽しみ方 (lit. translated as “How to Enjoy This World”). These two songs are respectively the opening and the ending of their upcoming movie 『HoneyWorks 10th Anniversary “LIP×LIP FILM×LIVE”』that is going to be released on Christmas 2020! The single itself will be released on December 23rd, 2020.

Finally! This seiyuu. The seiyuu that many people think is not really capable of laughing or even smiling. Yup, that's because he seldom smile in almost every picture about him. He smiled at some points, but it was just a small and thin one.

He can smile guys, he's a human after all.

He has written an essay about future economy on his second year of high school. Representing his school, he got into the top 50 essay, but didn't win it. And speaking of school...

I don't know anything about how his life when he was a student. But he once was a student in International Christian University High School (affiliated with International Christian University), and went to Cultural Department in Waseda University which is one of many prestigious college in Japan.

His Name

I think some people mistake his name sometimes that Wikipedia need to tell his right name. The kanji of "Kou" in his name (昂) is often mistaken with the kanji of "Subaru" (昴) because the shape (?) is almost the same. Please keep it in mind!

Young but Experienced

His age can be considered as young for a seiyuu. But he's been in the entertainment industry for quiet a long time. As you may have known, seniority in Asia is still strong. Some seiyuu who's older age wise but is considered as kouhai for Ucchi are Hosoya Yoshimasa, Murase Ayumu, Kaji Yuuki, etc.

Don't freak out if you see Ucchi calling Hosoyan as Yoshimasa-kun.

How he keep his club alive

He was a captain of pool club (?) when he was high school. But after the third years retired, he was selected to be the next captain. To make it worse, the club was on the edge of its existence, not having much members when left by the senpai. So, to invite more members, he said that the students can play in the pool if they became the members of the pool club and it worked! It's very "Ucchi".

He's the type who spends his time off at cinema, watching any movie available. Also, alone. Yup, he doesn't care if someone is willing to accompany him or not. He will watch. He also doesn't care about the genre. He can watch any genre, he said. And I think, Ucchi has never taken any job for idol-themed anime when other seiyuu take parts on some anime in this theme. Yes, he is in LIPxLIP which is technically an idol unit but the anime is not about idol. But he has been in much music-themed anime like Fukumenkei Noise, etc.

out of curiosity what are the five shows that uchiyama kouki has shown up in that youve watched? i was lolling at that post and the person in the replies who said that hes basically haunting you

Omgg hahah I’m so surprised other people were laughing along with me lol, it’s such a silly running joke that I basically just have with myself and has got me actively avoiding looking him up just for the fun of the surprise.

So, I started Haikyu!! at the end of January ish and I super binged it and then watched the whole thing again about two weeks later, so I got pretty used to the voices of the whole cast, but I wasn’t like consciously aware of any of their voices either, if that makes sense.

Then maybe a week ish after my second binge of Haikyu!! I tried out Yuri on Ice and that was the first time I was like !!! hey! i think that guy is Tsukki! in that first bathroom scene. Mostly I was just surprised that I had recognized his voice so easily and that’s all I really thought about it. (also i stopped watching yoi a couple episodes after that - dont kill me, the pacing was just a bit to quick for me and i didnt connect with the characters enough, and lost interest - but so i didnt hear much of him bc he doesnt show up again for a while and by that time i was sorta checked out of the show).

I watched all of My Hero Academia after that and that was a fun time in terms of recognizing the VAs because SO MANY of them overlap. I was like, Kageyama! Oh Look, Kenma!! Nishi-Nishinoya?? Ennoshita?? (jk i couldnt actually recognize Kirishima as Ennoshita, I saw that one in a tumblr post lol). And again, I just sorta wasn’t thinking about it after meeting the main kids. Then Shigaraki shows up and I was like “e-evil Tsukki???” That was the first time I had the thought of just “huh, this guy is in a lot of stuff isn’t he.” I absently scrolled through his wikipedia page and was surprised there weren’t as many things as I expected. (like, he’s done a good amount of work, just - as i’ve said in my other posts - seems statistically unlikely that he’d be in every single thing i happen to choose to watch)

Couple weeks ago I started on Hunter x Hunter and was so distracted by Hisoka being Oikawa that when Meruem eventually showed up I just burst out laughing. At this point I was 4 for 4 - he had shown up in EVERY show i’d watched more than an episode of - and here he was, being evil again. This is when I first made the post like “lol he in everything i watch,” and I started to more consciously look out for him.

So, when I started Daiya no Ace like last week or whenever, every time someone new showed up it was a running gag for myself like “are youuu gonna be Tsukki? nah, you’re Akiteru - which is close, but doesn’t count. what about you? nah just Oikawa/Hisoka again. Oh, look Kageyama’s here again, cool.” Then like, idk, 20 episodes in I hear his voice from off screen and I’m laughing again. He’s SUPER minor in Daiya, but he’s there lmao.

so the five shows are haikyu, yuri on ice, my hero academia, hunter x hunter, and daiya no ace. i also watched a single episode of demon slayer and wasn’t really grabbed so i’m not counting that one bc i didn’t reeeally watch it, and tbh at this point id be willing to bet money he is in it anyway. (DON’T TELL ME IF HE IS, i might still watch eventually and at this point it’s a fun surprise lmao)

Anyway, this all literally doesn’t mean anything or matter at all lmao, and like i said before is probably funny mostly only to me. so, thank you for the ask and for participating in this week’s installment of “Where in the Anime is Uchiyama Koki.” Feel free to tune in next month when I inevitably start a new series and continue to bore my followers with a very slowly updated list of his filmography, as I experience it.

Everyone online was saying how this song symbolizes gay pride, and now that I know what the lyrics mean... yeah, I'm going to take this as gay pride and run with it. If you want this music to symbolize that, you are right because music can be left up to interpretation. 

Everyone always ships those two ugly idols together, and I can see why. I don't mind that at all. I didn't like them at first, and I still don't like them, but they produce good music. That gives them a pass. Their hairstyles are still whack though. 

This video looks different from the others because I just screen-recorded it this time. I think I mentioned it a couple of times on Tumblr, but I had to get another replacement computer for the one I had. I lost a lot of stuff (because the workers didn't transfer much) including some of my work, my programs, and almost everything! 

I almost had to restart this song, but I found it on my USB. I couldn't make videos like usual because I'm on a free trial of the program Sibelius. I paid for it before, but it wants me to pay again for updates. It won't even let me activate the program. I'm trying my best. I have another video or two that are unlisted. I usually keep my originals unlisted with exception to a few. I also have "Clear" by Maaya Sakamoto unlisted because the video looks bad (even worse than this one!) 

I tried getting Wordpress during the "Tumblr Shutdown", but that didn't work out. It gave me too much of a headache! I don't even know how to delete the site or any of the posts... Looks like I'm staying on Tumblr! 

I didn't change up too much with Yoshi's arrangement, but I thought I would try making it a little different. The bridge is written by me! I also added a "Piano II" part. It's not really a duet as it is a piano solo with another piano accompanying. I didn't know how else to put it in the title.
