In which Scaramouche prefers Haypasia's presence more than yours.

angst, cheating, no comfort

You have been wandering with Scaramouche ever since his second betrayal. Being by his side as his lover, never leaving his side, you promised after all.

So why is it that he built up his walls again? Why is it that he's so cold to you lately?

He has fatui duties, you know that. However, he could at least spare some time for his beloved, right?

"Hey scara?"

"What?"

"Do you think we can have lunch together tomorrow? Its been so long, and it's our anniversary."

"I'm busy."

"How about at night then?"

"I'm busy."

"Surely you have at least an hour to spare? It's a really special day-"

"I already said that i'm busy. Are you so imcompetent that you can even comprehend what 'busy' means?"

Tears threatened to escape your eyes at this point. You don't need to look at him to feel his cold glare.

"Sorry, I uh-"

Words struggled to come out as the tightness in your throat go worse.

"I don't want to deal with you right now. I already have a lot on my plate, and you being so fucking clingy is so annoying."

And with that, he left you alone in the once warm and fuzzy house you both called 'home'.

You decided to hang out with your friends to keep your mind off the eariler events.

All was well, you finished a delicious dinner with them, and while leaving one of your friends tripped and fell facefirst into the concrete floor.

But as soon as you bid goodbye to your friends, you caught a glimpse of indigo hair. Next to a young maiden of green hair. They were leaving a fancy resturant together.

Heh. That's weird.

'I thought he was busy.'

You tried to turn away, but he already met your eyes.

Smirking, he exchange a few words with the young woman. He then tipped her chin up, bought her lips closer to his, and connected them.

The world stilled as your vision blurred, the tightness in your throat returned.

You quickly fled the scene before he could make you see more.

Slamming the door to your 'home' open, it felt so empty. Something felt out of place, you felt out of place.

The image was burned into your mind, you wanted to gag. To hear him say that it wasn't real. To hear him say that you are still his one and only.

It hurts. It hurts so bad. It's as if the house itself was mocking you.

Pictures of the two of you, memories of the sweet moments that took place here, all thrown into your face.

You decided to leave. You packed everything you owned. Eyeing the matching bracelet he got you, you snatched it off and threw it in a bin somewhere, leaving the memories behind along with him.

thinking abt qphil giving emeralds to his friends/children and how they would use them.

for chayanne and tallulah they have matching earrings to match phil's. tallulah's one is on her left side and chayanne's is on his right. a matching pair (alluding to their twin-like bond)

fit doesnt wear the emerald, but he keeps it on him. maybe he uses it as like a keychain on his backpack. or he just keeps it in his backpack for safe keeping.

missa has a necklace of it, because phil couldnt reach him in the early stages, he gave it after missa came back from his travels. (and now missa never takes the thing off. he clutches it when he finds himself missing his family)

forever has one and its a hair charm(s). like those hair charms that can twirl around a strand of hair. or kind of like how you can just put charms in your hair to style them??? he decorates his hair with that/those charms but only for important occasions. he doesnt use it often because phil described them as a "friendship emerald" and forever cherishes phil's friendship with all that he has. so he usually keeps them in a safe place.

But first, I love, love the colour so much. I always admire how you can make the midtone work so well. His wings have the hint of being iridescent which is just another prove of colour mastery!!!

I also love the detail that the mask is wooden!!! Like he had crafted it out of the items he can find in the wood! His tiny braid 🥹🥹🥹 I always like that hairstyle (ahem Cornelius bias)

Y'ALL. I'M SOBBING.

So it's midnight, and of course I'm re-watching the one episode of Justice League Unlimited where Captain Marvel is in it and fights against superman.

Slight spoilers below, but not really

The part in the episode where Lex Luthor is holding his charity event and is making his grand speech about helping those in need, giving those in dire poverty a fighting chance, and putting a roof over their heads to make sure those in need and their children never have to suffer in a bad environment again. Billy Batson shows up, not as Captain Marvel, but as himself.

Maybe he also has concerns like superman, and wanted to watch from a close but safe distance in case anything happened?

Or. Billy just wanted some of the free food being offered to everyone, and just wanted to eat! The little guy is always so hungry from not getting enough chances to eat (no money or no time), and as a homeless and orphaned youth, what Lex Luthor was saying during his big speech may have resonated with him.

Billy knows what it's like to suffer in horrible environments thanks to circumstances he has no control over, and the idea of a villain seemingly going for redemption by helping people just like Billy, would have made him so happy. Maybe a part of Billy Batson had even hoped to move into that new city for a steady and warm roof over his head.

But no. The city was demolished in the fight, and of course Lex Luthor was still evil all along. But Billy really believed in him and his words. The poor kid just wanted something nice for once, but even that couldn't come true for him.

Why does this boy have to suffer so much
