[image descriptions: a simple brown and cream stoneware rabbit with stylized features. The rabbit has warm brown underglaze on its whole body except its head, chest, inner ears, and tail, which are creamy clay. The rabbit's eyes and heart-shaped nose are also brown. I'm finally (FINALLY) getting around to posting these proper photos I took of the lichen mugs in their natural habitat (Georgian Bay)!
Most of these sold at a summer market, but I'm just starting a new batch of mugs & will definitely be making a few more lichen ones. I'm also working on some bigger mugs as well, for people like me who absolutely require a half-litre of tea/coffee at a time...these wee mugs ended up being baby-cups at 200-250ml because I forgot about clay shrinkage (since this was my first time in ages making pieces where that mattered!).
Skyphos number two! Inspired by the very talented @hellenhighwater ‘s Minotaur sculpture, a painting by Flandrin, a sculpture by Paul Cabet, and a very handsome charolais bull from Google images.
