You know something that internet personalities or those with large platforms can do in light of the Writers and Actors striking?

Recommend shows. Be it from last decade or way back in the day. Especially whatever Streaming Services slept on in their Self-Fulfilling prophecy of cancellation. Movies that were slept on also count.

I get that something like that isn’t very trendy or (let’s be real here) algorithmic friendly but at the very least, it can be a direct refutation to those claiming that there will be no more stories to enjoy.

For Anime, Netflix’s Ultraman is a recently completed hype as hell reboot/sequel to the famous Tokusatsu hero. You don’t need to have seen the original to enjoy it as it’s of the son Shinjiro inheriting the mantle with all the catch-up that’s required. It may have the stereotypical CG Anime framerate but other times will have smooth as hell scene, especially for action.

The VAs are union with Steve Blum living it up as one of the villains if that’s a selling point.

Netflix’s Lupin might not have the Anime incarnation we know and love but Omar Sy’s Assane Diop lives up to the OG Gentleman Thief with heists and gambits that can and will make you drop your jaw. Think Sherlock but with a faaaaaaar better sense of story. So far. We’ll see.

Though originally in French, those who might not do well with subtitles might find the dub so good, it might trick you into thinking it was filmed in English.

A Netflix movie, The House, is a British stop motion horror anthology in which three act show the titular house being owned by three separate homeowners. Each one are challenge psychologically and supernaturally, a tone only enhanced by the stop motion’s inherent uncanny valley effect.

While the first two acts end in tragedy and morbidity, the third gives a different sort in comparison. It’s something a lot of viewers come away from with differing interpretations.

Netflix’s Cowboy Bebop... is a bad adaptation... but a good show. I’m sorry but the acting and even the wackadoo script wasn’t not entertaining.

Anybody got any show or movies that streaming slept on and deserve a look-see with the coming slow-down?

I know that there’s nothing new in it that we haven’t seen before, but the fact that they are still uploading new (ish) content at all is something.

Please, please support it if you can. This show was so underrated and it deserves so much better! I don’t want to go down without a fight! I refuse to go down without a fight!

I recently watched My Father’s Dragon on Netflix and AGH I WAS SO GOOD. WHAT AN ADORABLE AND BEAUTIFUL MOVIE. I was caught off-guard in the best way possible by the themes it touched on, and the animation, art style, and characters were all so unique and perfect!! Boris the dragon was definitely my favorite part though, so I drew the boyo himself!! My beloved, friend-shaped little doofus!!! He has my heart!!! I would love to be his friend!!

He’s holding a valentine card because I drew this on Valentine’s Day and thought it’d be cute to add a small nod to the holiday! So yeah, he gets a card, and he is clearly very very happy and grateful for it ^^ ❤️ The lil’ drawing on the card is made to look like a child drew him and Elmer from the movie!

Anyway, GO WATCH MY FATHER’S DRAGON IF YOU LIKE WHIMSICAL ANIMATED MOVIES/SHOWS. It got almost NO attention from the media, and it was even hard to find decent ref pics using the most basic searches on Google. It’s such a shame - this movie really deserves so much more than what it got. Seriously, it really is an adorable, beautifully-created tale! AND Gaten Matarazzo voiceacts Boris, which is the most perfect casting choice ever!!

the reason why fanita is such a good and underrated ship are for some few HUGE reasons imo

1. when the show first starts they don’t like each other thus starting an enemies to lovers trope BUT they become partners in order so he can help her in return for her helping him work things out with anita’s sister. in doing so they grow closer without realizing and sorta from an “older brother” relationship in a non-weird way, she’s protective of him and he’s protective and appreciative of her

2. in season 2 we see them maintain this friendship even tho there’s been a time jump. we start to see signs of him liking her this season but the clues we get are so good. the thing that has always stood out to me about him compared to her other love interests was that both joel and enrique seemed obsessive or in love with the IDEA of her. joel was always pushy even though she said multiple times she wasn’t interested which made me dislike him as an love interest. enrique was cool but seemed like he sorta just liked whoever liked him and flipped flopped a lot. now fabricio remembered small little details about her such as her favorite movie and ice cream flavors. he also knows when she’s feeling off.

3. the last reason is that he never got over her. in season 3 there’s been a 3 year time jump which is a big deal considering we first knew fabricio as this “bad boy or play boy” . he was content being just friends with her and never pushed his feelings unto her unless SHE initiated it.

overall this is netflix’s most overlooked couple and show ever

Cowboy Bebop a classic that I've rewatched that show several times because of how much I love it

Soul Eater was my first anime and I still get nostalgic about it and would totally be on board for a remake

Black Lagoon a underrated action anime with some amazing badass female characters

The Apothecary Diaries I loved that show. So glad it's getting a season 2. To me, it feels like the spiritual successor of Ouran High School Host Club, which was my favorite romance anime for a very long time

Black Clover is so underrated and it's the perfect classic battle Shonen with great female characters. It actually knocked JJK off my list when it came to my favorite non one piece Shonen anime.

Mashle: Magic and Muscles. As someone who could understand why Harry Potter was so popular as a concept but didn't really like it myself. I love this show because it's basically an anime parody of Harry Potter and it's wonderful.

One Piece I actually started it for real last August because of the live action. Even though I attempted to start it about 3 times during high school and never got past syrup village and I've watched the anime up till thriller bark that I thought the anime was taking too long and just started reading ahead in the manga. Now I have read up to somewhere in the middle of Marineford in the manga. Then I started doing this blog and I've had no spare time to actually read the manga or watch the anime

Hell's Paradise. An underrated anime which I feel like I'm the only person that's seen it sometimes which I would definitely recommend. Since it takes your classic Shonen archetypes puts them on a mysterious possibly Supernatural Island together in an almost Battle Royale where they have to choose to either fight each other or work together to solve the mystery of the island their choice. Please go watch the show. It's now on American Netflix

Yuri on Ice the only one way I will ever forgive mappa for canceling the movie is if they actually finish Hell's Paradise but don't want to get my hopes up

Golden Kamuy thank you to my followers who kept requesting these characters because that's why I finally watched it. It's another underrated fun action show. It's also ridiculous and hilarious but there is a good mystery

So if anyone's looking for recommendations, I would start with Hells Paradise, Black Clover, Golden Kamuy or Mashle
