New to tumblr. Didn't know where to start posting this idea of a possible deltarune knight i had. So here it is i guess.

Bad quality art (painting mostly) because this is a proof of concept before Chapter 3-4 in deltarune releases, else i turn very lazy and do not do anything to contribute in the fandom.

So the idea of this Knight is that the vessel in deltarune is the Knight, which, if Kris is Chara in undertale, the Vessel would be Frisk. In this case I named them Sirk for now, but its a very temporary name.

I thought that "the locket" this time could be a darkner that would become the Knight's armor. And real Knives in the Darkworld turn into huge swords that are cool as heck.

Since Deltarune has the deltarune logo staring at us, I really thought this would be the Knight's face, so this is why I had this idea. Toby tricking us or something.

The idea is that the Knight "Sirk" is some sort of deconstruction of the trope of the silent character who is a protagonist , and the locket beside him is "Charlock" (the locket), who is a flowey-like creature that helps "Sirk" where to go and do.

Charlock would speak for Sirk since they're Silent, but as a flowey-creature, it might manipulate Sirk or be actually helpful and good intentioned but incredibly rude to its enemies/others, and without a soul...

And about more lore, since "Sirk" is the goner vessel after all, there could be some shenanigans about souls swapping out, which may mean "Sirk" has Asriel's wiil, Dess' or even Haster himself inside this vessel or something.

Notice the quotes, when i say "Sirk" and not Sirk, because in Undertale i do believe "Chara" is different from Chara without quotes.

I thought i had a cool idea. So I hope people like this and idk. I apologize if my grammar is not good.

I can finally say I posted something before the hype train leaves cuz i procrastinate too hard even in my hobbies.

Definitely not all of them.

I believe that you need a certain amount of Determination to be able to Reset. It wouldn't make sense if someone with barely any DT got the power just because they're the only person in the Underground.

very fun to see you reblog some more red soul theory 🤔i don't particularly subscribe to the idea that there is a gold soul, because gold is the color of determination and it's stated that every being has it in amounts, especially in the fallen humans. if you look at the files in the game, there are 10 save files, which means there have been 10 people with the ability to save/load, so determination being a soul trait seems weird to me if that's the case.

leaving the red soul trait ambiguous is a smart move on toby's part, because it gets the fandom all talking. personally, i think i like the theories that the red soul trait is 1) control (if seeing from the player theory), 2) being yourself (fits the thematic story), or 3) love (also fits the theme, and i like the idea that it's the obvious answer so no one chooses it).

I like the idea of a gold soul, because it’d be pretty, though I don’t know if i think it’s determination. Potentially something else instead if there’s a gold soul.

As for what the red soul is, maybe it’s all three of the options you mentioned. I haven’t fully finished playing undertale myself, so im not completely sure (I need to finish already it’s been like 2 months).

Dying in Undertale

Have you ever thought of what happens when you die in Undertale? You go to your last save point, yes, but everything follows up the same (Other than the Sans fight which I'll get to later) I don't think that timeline is scrapped or you go back in time.

My hypothesis: You actually die permanently in that timeline- and when you go back to a save you go to a VERY slightly different universe where those events didn't happen.

But you're still conscious of what happened, but no one else does- not even Flowey. (In Undertale Yellow he knows because he saves for you instead of you using your own Determination) so of course, you react a little different cuz you have a little bit of knowledge of what happens. In Genocide runs, there are multiple timelines where Sans ultimately stops you and Chara from erasing the timelines altogether. Though, as your conscious of every single death, you seem more and more frustrated, and Sans picks up on that. I don't think he has innate awareness of timelines and alternate universes, I believe he knows theres a child who has killed everyone and walks into Judgement hall with more rage than they should.

man i wish i could draw. if i could i would be one of those people who make the most angsty comics. more specifically i would draw a comic where sans injects himself with determination to like. confirm if his deja vu or whatever is true and alphys walks in on him right as he begins to melt and she's just like grabbing at his slowly deteriorating body that's getting more and more liquidy by the second and asking why he did this to himself and he just smiles at her like he always does. even as she brings him into a room and promises she'll find a way to fix him - to fix all of them. because she wouldn't understand. besides, it's all gonna get reset in the end anyway right? so what's the point of caring about anything at all when everything is just gonna go back to how it was before? when nothing is ever gonna stay permanent?

.. but then the timeline is reset and sans wakes up still an amalgamate lol
