Your fingers flit through a small sea of heavy fabrics, each embroidered with some colorful design of whatever video game or anime character had been trending when the world stopped.

Apparently, it had been Gojo, the white outlines of his hair a stark difference to the black of the hoodies base framework.

The material was heavy and warm, hiding your fingers from the damp chill in the air as you slid them underneath to find the price tag.

The notion of one piece of clothing being nearly worth a young teens entire shift made your eyebrows tug upward.

Slipping the cloth off of its hanger, you gently ripped the price tag off, letting it fall to the floor as you snuck an arm into one of the sleeves.

Once upon a time, you would have cared about the littering, but it wasn’t as if rest of the mall didn’t look any different.

It was getting increasingly hard to care about things like that.

Instead, you focused on the comfort of your newfound treasure. Taking what you wanted was one of the few benefits you reaped in a place like this.

The mall doors had been hard to pry open, but a crowbar and a few minutes had done just fine. With a few days of peace before another game needing to be won, Mirko suggested some good old scavenging.

If anything, it was a lot better than sitting around and starving to death.

So you, her, and a few others had ended up here, each going their own way to cover the maximum amount of ground before darkness fell over this wasteland.

And while you didn’t exactly think Spencer’s would have the most survivalist-prone gear, it was one of the only stores in the North end of the mall that didn’t reek of rotting food.

You slipped through a wall of nose piercings, grabbing another thick hoody that sported a small drawing of Killua Zoldyck on the lower right corner.

Going towards the back of the store, you rummaged through the trays of snacks that could usually be found near the checkout desk. Even though they technically weren’t the most nutritious, sour gummies and sodas were known to have a better-than-average shelf life.

As you scoured over numerous packages and Best Buy dates, your gaze slipped a few feet to your left, eyes widening as a short chuckle bubbled up into your throat.

You walked over to a stand proudly boasting its abundance of ‘Creature Cocks’ and picked up a glow-in-the-dark Unicorn dildo.

It was nearly 9-inches.

Guess I could use that thing as a weapon if anything.

Snickering, you put the sparkly sex toy back and let your line of sight graze curiously over the smaller, more much conventional ones.

It had been a long time.

Almost unconsciously, you reached out, fingers curling around a small toy that slightly resembled one you used to have.

“You know most of those don’t work anymore, right?”

“Shit!” You spun around in fear, locking eyes with the second male in your little group, Hawks. His lower lip was curled in amusement as you pressed a hand to your pounding chest. “You just gave me a heart attack, asshole!”

Regardless, nervous excitement brewed in your stomach. The feelings you harbored for the individual in front of you were dangerous and you knew that, but they were hard to ignore.

“Sorry, didn’t think I was interrupting anything,” his eyes flit down to the device in your hand, a feline-like smirk spreading across his features as he turned and began to leave. “But I’ll leave you to it.”

You dropped the toy, it’s clatter against the floor causing him to swivel his gaze back and you to internally cringe. “Batteries,” you swallowed, cheeks beginning to burn as you mentally fumbled for an excuse. “Some have batteries. I figured we’d run out at some point. For flashlights and stuff… ya know?”

Rambling. You’re rambling. Stop it.

Hawks cocked an eyebrow, stalking closer and quietly bending down to pick up the device. When he straightened, his body was a few centimeters from yours.

A contrasting scent of ashes and spice hit your senses as he lifted an arm to put the toy back, effectively caving you in on one side.

You wondered absentmindedly if he still would’ve smelt faintly of fire if he wasn’t stuck here, in a world surrounded by death and decay.

“If you really needed help that badly, you could’ve just asked,” he replied, wolfish grin doing nothing to quell the heat blooming into your face.

The meaning of his statement hit you like a train, the suggestion crawling below your abdomen to tease you with a flash of pleasure.

“I don’t… I wasn’t trying to-”

“But you want to,” you blinked, eyes wide in surprise as his arm snaked around your waist. “Besides, it might be dangerous to leave you all hot and bothered during an attack or something, don’t you think?”

“I’m not… I’m fine,” the reply definitely lacked the assertion you planned to give it, the idea of his skin against yours more than distracting.

He let out a raspy hum. “So it wouldn’t turn you on at all if I did something like this?”

The hand resting on your hip began moving downward, began toying with the top of your jeans.

Mindlessly, your hips lifted upwards, practically begging to meet his touch.

That smirk grew slightly, excitement flashing through brown irises. “Thought so.”

His hand slipped under the fabric, gently brushing against your clit. The contact made your body jerk in surprise, that soft heat slowly building as the touch moved in between your thighs.

“I-” One finger pushed between your folds, drawing a soft groan from you as he began to slowly thrust the digit in and out.

His lips grazed over yours, gently stealing the sigh you gave in response to his movements. Blond hair tickled your face as he continued to whisper praises in your ear.

“So pretty,” his free arm linked under yours when your knees threatened to fall out from under you.“Do you know long I’ve wanted to do this? Wanted you?”

He watched as you continued to slip away in a pleasured haze, expression flashing for a mere second in adoration as his finger drew soft circles over your clit.

The feeling was overwhelming, the rest of the world melting away from the burning heat just begging to reach its climax.

Then it vanished, his touch slipping away as quickly as it came before he pressed his lips against yours, the moment lasting mere seconds but leaving you breathless.

“Why did you stop?” The desperation in your tone might have embarrassed you, if you cared.

“So needy,” he taunted. “I’ll fuck you properly when we have some more privacy.”

You almost reached out to stop him when he backed away, your pride saved as the rest of your group pushed through the isles.

“You guys okay? We’re gonna head back to the shelter soon.” Mirko stopped, eyes widening as she took in the area. “What are you doing back-“

“We thought there might be some batteries in here.” Hawks grabbed one of the toys. An effortless smile gracing his lips , he spun the package around so the label was visible. “30% percent off.”

Guess this 28/41 year old is my hyperfixation for a while.[Age depends on which game he's in. WD2 has him at canonically 28 while Legion makes him canonically 41 years old.] This is about the length of my Deacon Rambles post...

Was a high school drop out at some point. Always getting in trouble for skipping classes, taking shit apart, having his hood/mask on, fighting because he didnt get along with people, etc etc. He hated school.

I see him as the type to have been a drummer in a band at one point. Eventually the band just fell apart but he has some of their songs on his phone still.

Loved the movie Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. In his mind, it had a badass sound track. 7 Nation Army by The White Stripes and Black Sheep by Metric and Brie Larson were real bangers in his mind.

Reeks of beer and gasoline most of the time. Change my mind.

Deadpool is this man's icon. Some of his jokes are inspired by jokes from the comics or movies. Has posters, funkos, obviously the comics and movies, and even dressed up as his own punk version of deadpool loosely based on the funko mini. His personal favorite mini was the chicken costume.

Has a unicorn stuffed animal himself.

Also likes Spider-Punk.

Likes Motorcycles a little bit more than cars.

Detective films? Yes. Action Movies? Definitely. Sci-Fi? Hell Yeah! Horror? Maybe not so much.

People seem to be unable to decide whether Wrench is Bi or Pan. I personally think he'd be Pansexual.

Doesn't like cleaning as he states ingame. Will clean if the mess starts to bother him. Or if Sitara makes him.

High metabolism which is why he's so thin.

Throwns in tons of movie/game references when speaking expecting people to get them and then has to explain them when they dont. Definitely geeks out when someone does.

You know that one audio trend with the person singing CPR and someone else yelling "Language"? He'd be the singer and Sitara would be the one yelling at him to mind his language.

Sends the most odd videoes at the most random of times.

Also the kind of guy that might not respond until like and hour or 2 later.

Tries to be pretty quiet in the mornings, besides the music blasting in his earbuds/headphones.

The more I think about the more I start to believe that his "bad driving" is just a thing he makes people believe until you see his dumb ass in a race and this fucker blows you away with his skills. Then you start to really understand why he can do perfect drifts getting away from the police or gangs in a chace.

Due to his always racing thoughts, he sometims forgets some things. Like he gets sent out to take out the trash, goes to the kitchen, forgets why he went in there, does a few circles to try and remember, then gives up and goes back to his room or workspace. It'll hit him like 20 minutes later.

Favorite food is probably Tacos. Pizza close in like 2nd or 3rd place, maybe.

Decent at voice impressions, if you couldnt tell.

Oh, and for those who absolutely need them, have some romance headcanons too:

Didn't show his face to his S/O until like 6 months into the relationship at the least. He was so fucking nervous too.

Wouldn't even fully open up about his past until probably a year in at the least.

Prepare for cheesy love songs, matching key chains, corny pick up lines, bits of playful teasing, and a lot of small physical touches. (Mostly hand holding but would wrap his arms around his s/o's waist) His s/o also wrapping their arms around his waist drives him nuts.

Needs a lot of reassurance that his s/o loves him. I wouldnt say constantly but quite a few times in the relationship, especially at the beginning.

He isnt exactly scared of commitment as he had a husband at one point. Key word: "Had". Dont expect him to fully settle down though. He still plans to fight until he is sure this battle is really over.

Two Words: Super. Clingy.

Might forget an anniversary, dont hold it against him. He sometimes forgets what he had for breatfast 15 minutes ago.

As I've mentioned before, he does not like kids. Don't expect a family with him.

No planned dates unless his s/o is the one who plans them. He kinda just does things whenever if both have the free time.

Makes sure to dial down his weirdness just a little so his s/o is comfortable. He takes things slow if they want them to be.

Was definitely taking forever to actually ask his s/o out. Hoped they would do it first but then got impatient after a while and just blurted out everything.

The Adventure continues!

That is, until they’s stumped in the small town of Ponyville on their way to update the princess and see the wonderbolts! Many mysteries about that place. But given their trio would be stuck for a while, they get comfortable for the time being. Twilight investigating their history, the ever free forest, and many more. Pinkie trying very food in town, and making parties for every new friend in town. And Rainbow would tag along, although of course is rather distracted by an earth pony giving her rather nasty looks…

There was allegedly an on going Freud between some farmers and a veterinarian, of sorts. Something about getting rid of bats and missing apples.

We eventually meet Apple Jack, who doesn’t like these strange creatures coming into her town. The only normal seeming on being Twilight, who had no interest in talking with others, but seemed to have the two creatures following her around everywhere. Apple Jack was worried for that unicorn for a while. Until it turned out she was strange too. Strangely powerful, raising a baby dragon, lack any social skills. She doesn’t trust not a one of them, until of course, Rainbow, determined to be liked by ponies, and prove a point to AJ for judging them by how they look, offers to help solve her Vampire Fruit Bat problem. AJ is rather suspect and stubborn about not needing their help, but she did desperately need this to stop.

That is where we meet Fluttershy! She would avoid the trio and successfully evade them for a while. But Pinkie would find out she hadn’t made friends with one pony. They actually found them arguing one day(Well, as much as you could call AJ yelling at Fluttershy while she just stood there and gave soft answers arguing). What makes her come out of her shell of course, is the baby dragon. She’d never seen one before and was absolutely obsessed, asking Twilight for all the information she had. Which, lucky for Fluttershy and Twilight alike, Twilight loved talking about her research, and she had researched a lot on dragons, and was raising one. Of course Twilight knew a lot.

Finally, it is revealed that the culprit of the missing apples was Fluttershy all along! (Same reasons in season 4 ep 7 Bats!, although this time not much of a cure for her looks. That’s why she’d hidden her wings and ears) probably through Twilight’s magic they’d fine a way for her to manage herself better. Effectively solving AJ’s problem.

Eventually they go to leave town, but not before Fluttershy and AJ would join them, Fluttershy seeing they’re traveling and wanting to learn more about other animals and creatures, and them being the only friends she really made. Plus she promised Twilight to help babysit Spike, so of course Twilight was delighted to have someone who wouldn’t be burdensome on her trip. AJ using the excuse that she’d think selling around would bring more business to her Apple farm, the truth being these were very strange ponies, and she wants to keep a close eyes on them. One of the reasons they were in Ponyville was to get a cart, as they were collecting quite a few things along the way, and it’d be much easier for them. AJ agrees to pull it, as long as her Apple business could fit inside. And it did. AJ would also adjust their stops to pick up more apples at other family’s farms. And we effectively have AJ and Fluttershy join the fray!

On, but I forgot to mention one person, who’d actually appeared through out their trip, selling her fashion line to gain traction, and traveling herself to better learn all of the fashion trends from around all of Equestia! Rarity they would meet at a market around the wonderbolts performance. Pinkie would be the one to recognize her, even if she did stand out as a Zebra. Zebras didn’t normally live in these areas. Rarity finally really approaches them when she sees Fluttershy, and her outfit. (Fluttershy hides that she was from the city, and a rich family. She knew a thing or two about fashion, and even more so about sewing) Rarity compliments it although complains about being unable to see Fluttershy’s cutie mark, and furthermore her wings! They were incredibly stunning, one of a kind. Rarity would be the one to encourage her to change her outfit to show her further, to give Fluttershy a makeover because she should feel proud of who she is.

Now Rarity would ask why they were traveling, having herself seen them about. And by hearing it, now Rarity wanted to tag along. She wanted to go those places in any case, and now with Fluttershy she could help Rarity with her work, and be her model! And Rarity would tell them of her own childhood legend, as her home was not somewhere on the list, but Twilight would now add it to find out about this one as well. Sounding like another of The Six Pillars. Lucky they had Rarity too, because it was hard and dangerous to get there if you don’t have someone who knows the way.

With Rarity eventually warming up to AJ, she too will get a knew haircut, as Rarity promises it will look nice, and stay out of the way of AJ’s hard work. That’s something that happens a little later and probably plays out similarly to Look Before You Sleep(season 1 ep 8) I hadn’t really decided on when Rainbow will be revealed, just know it’ll be dramatic. Since Changlings are still evil in this story. It think it’ll have to be when they eventually visit the crystal kingdom or a magic free area where changling magic just isn’t affective.

But that concludes how I imaged each of the Main Six would join the party! And of course how I think they’d look. I hope you all enjoyed and thank you for taking the time to look!

Ooo! Headcanons about food: I’ll answer for the Endless siblings.

I kind of answered this one about Morpheus (which prompted me to post the headcanon asks since it was fun to think about). Basically, I think Dream can and does eat in any and all realms. But that he might prefer to eat in the Dreaming the most, and only does it when he Wants to. I like the headcanon that he can taste the intent/story within a food (Ie: made with love or history).

But to get a bit silly with it…

Destiny

Likely only eats when he reads that he should. The workaholic who forgets to eat unless reminded it’s dinner time. In an entire buffet line of food he can choose from, he’ll pick only vegetables and other “healthy” food despite an abundance of cheese dips and other party food he likes being right there.

Death

Loves grabbing a pint on her day off, but isn’t so pretentious as to turn her nose up at some piss poor American beer. Probably loves a good ole Minnesotan Hot Dish. (What will these humans think of next, huh?) Favors what she can scrounge up at her favorite farmer’s market.

Dream

Loves hanging out with Death at the bar on her day off. But if he is going to deign to dine with or around humans, then he’s probably going to lean in hard as a craft beer snob. Citra hops and extra hoppy, hazy IPAs are soooo overdone. He’s into those beer styles you’ve never heard of like a Rauchbier or a grodziskie. The Dreaming’s Library equivalent for beers almost lost to time. And really fanciful desserts that defy gravity. All for the stories they both tell. (He’d probably love my marathon LotR EE party where we eat like a hobbit throughout the day with meals timed to the movies, too.)

Destruction

Deconstructed desserts he found on Pinterest. But when trying to artfully plate the dish, it might be a bit of a Pinterest fail. It all tastes good and all ends up in the same place anyways he figures.

Desire

Incredibly rich and/or greasy food. So haute French cuisine with lots of butter…or a dirty Döner after a night out at the club.

Despair

Feels right at home in Oliver Twists’ orphanage. Nothing like a cold, thin gruel on a dreary day.

Delirium

Felt right at home with the cake trend of surprise sprinkles cascading out of their centers. Loved the unicorn drink craze. Might go for a turducken when craving something savory.

hello, wandering one! may these recipes nourish your spirit and warm your soul out there in the wilderness. roast new potatoes and radishes - mod kero and i are kind of obsessed with this recipe. with delicious roasted root vegetables, a light kick of spice and a cool yoghurt garnish, this surprisingly filling meal feels like stopping for a rest and a forage in a forest clearing. stuffed pumpkin - another one from our own home cookbook! this recipe has lemon in it, but you can remove it or substitute it as you like for a fully citrus-free recipe. the fennel makes this feel nice and wild, and it's perfect for the autumn months. stinging nettle soup - stinging nettle soup? what could be better! with nettles, onion, and chicken broth, this feels like another recipe that could come straight out of the deep woods. for a vegetarian option, use vegetable broth instead. spun sugar - spun sugar is notoriously hard to make, but if you can master it the payoff is probably the most beautiful dessert garnish imaginable. it reminds me of sparkling frost. did a wizard just cast an ice spell in this clearing? brrrr. homemade marshmallows - marshmallows, i hear you cry? that sounds like your typical, store-bought, cushy-wushy cutie unicorn silliness! hear me out, though, because homemade marshmallows are a completely different experience to the kind you might buy in the store! they have a wildly different texture, and the flavour can be adjusted to your taste. they're a little tricky to perfect, but i would highly recommend giving it a try! (these can also be made vegetarian/gelatin-free by substituting agar, which is outlined in the recipe).

Activated Charcoal Food

That was a weird trend, wasn’t it? More like a series of isolated instances than a trend though, because I’m not familiar with anywhere that you could actually get the stuff consistently. I’ve had one encounter with activated charcoal food in real life, at my city’s big summer fair in 2018. I shared a bowl of jet-black soft-serve with my sister and her partner. It was…  fine. It tasted like regular ice cream, maybe with a bit of graininess.

Very, very hasty "research" (two minutes of googling) tells me that the main purpose of activated charcoal is to filter water. I suppose the implication is that it might be “filtering” your insides or something, which doesn’t make much sense considering that you’re swallowing the filter as well. I don't know that many ever made that excuse though. It’s clear that the purpose of this food was to show off on Instagram. And for that purpose, it works. It does look neat. It’s minimalism, modernism ultima, applied to food, something which rarely gets that treatment. Colour is bourgeois ornament (no one has ever suggested that, but we're being conceptual.) It’s the opposite of rainbow “unicorn” foods, which, don’t worry unicorn lovers, are also on the lists. And on a conceptual level, it does change the eating experience. Mixing a tasteless blackness into otherwise ordinary food, with all its ordinary tastes and textures, makes for an intriguing disconnecting of the senses, severing our sight-experience of food from the textural and gustatory experiences that the sight-experience readies us for. I get the idea. It’s neat. But once you’ve done it, there’s no reason to do it again, which is why this trend quickly fizzled out.

This is the Toonami Trending Rundown for the month of April 2023. This month marked 11 years since Adult Swim gave us the “Night no 90’s Kids Slept,” reviving the block for a night as an April Fools stunt that ultimately revived the block less than two months later, which continues every Saturday to this day. Among the highlights from the month, Toonami ran the final five episodes of My Hero Academia season 6, while Food Wars continued with its fifth and final season.

In regard to trending for the entire month of April, #Toonami trended in the United States on Twitter alongside My Hero Academia (save for April 29-30, as the season finale aired the week before) and Food Wars. #Toonami also trended on Tumblr alongside My Hero Academia (also save for April 29.)

As the wait begins for My Hero Academia season 7, it should be noted that while Toonami does have a new show coming to replace it (though encore runs of MHA will air at the backend of the lineup in the meantime), the network is waiting for the greenlight from the show’s license holders in Japan to announce and begin airing said new show. So, for until at least May 13, the midnight hour will begin with the airing of this week’s Unicorn: Warriors Eternal and encore airings of Primal.

Regarding these delays, Jason DeMarco explained the issues in a Twitter thread:

“Here’s what’s unique about our block: all the anime. All licensed anime releases have to be approved by the rights holders in Japan. So, when we want to announce a new season of, say, My Hero… the licensor has to GET PERMISSION from the rights holder in Japan. So sometimes we have to wait. And wait. And wait. For someone in Japan at whatever company owns the rights to the show (frequently a giant manga publisher) to grant us permission. This is not a thing in any other sector of media. But it IS a big thing in Japanese business. Announcing w/o permission could get our licensors in trouble with their rights holders. They can’t afford that and neither can we. A function of the archaic way some elements of Japanese business culture work. That’s about 85% of most of our schedule delays. The rest are internal network/company things that are a fact of the way giant megacorps run. And this actually does happen to other networks, it’s just that Toonami is lucky enough to have a passionate fan base who CARES about schedule changes. Most other networks don’t! 👍🏼 Anyway, sorry for the delays in schedule announcements! But most of the time there’s basically nothing we can do about it, and trust me- it frustrates all of us far more than any viewer. But it is what it is. Our hands are pretty well tied here.”

I have a new dumb hc to offer you. What if Elias loves all the worst food trends of the last hundred years? He loves charcoal ice, the unicorn frappe, bone marrow toast. His favorite being those meat jello molds of the 50s. He always brings one to institute party’s because he wants it to come back! Poor Peter is forced to deal with it. More Startups on Profit Track as Investors Tighten the Screw

A notable transition towards profitability is occurring within the startup ecosystem due to the reduction of venture capital and private equity investments. Due to the shift in investor perception, businesses are now prioritising sustainable growth over rapid expansion. Notable unicorns that have achieved profitability in FY24 include Oyo, Zomato, and Mamaearth from Honasa Consumer.
