Ik it's easier to convince large numbers of people to strike if you assure them it's only one day and not a huge commitment but as a general practice, don't ever give an end date to a strike. Any company can survive one day, change nothing, and quietly take note of who took part. Strikes are meant to cause them fear of long term losses or full shutdown, and you can't cause that fear when you tell the companies when it ends! And how soon it is!
This is an effective show of solidarity, and imo good for this sort of general strike considering no one organization holds these groups together to negotiate for them all at once, but don't do this in a typical strike where you have concrete demands a company doesn't want to respect
