☔Is there a fic concept you have that you'd like to just explain and share because you're not sure you'll ever write it? If so, what is it?
Okay, so back when I was really into the show Bones, I was very much not pleased with how the Gormagon plot ended. Zach didn't make any sense as the apprentice, but I do know the plot was impacted heavily by the writer's strike so it was what it was. But I had an idea for a xOver with Buffy the Vampire Slayer as a fix fic that would pick up where the third season of Bones ended and was post series for BtVS.
When Zach is arrested, the new Watchers Council sends Andrew to investigate because Gormagon wasn't just a regular serial killer. He was a warlock too and so his apprentice must have been as well. Except Andrew quickly realizes three things. 1.) Zach isn't a warlock and in fact doesn't even know magic is real. 2.) Zach does, however, reek of dark magic and from what Andrew can tell it's likely affected his memories, indicating that while Zach thinks he's the apprentice... he isn't. And 3.) the magic on Zach is very, very familiar to Andrew. Because that magic is his brother's.
With Andrew realizing that the real apprentice of Gormagon is Tucker, he suspects that the Gormagon may not have actually been a warlock after all - it was all Tucker using a non-magical serial killer to hide something worse going on and using Zach as an unwitting spy. Willow is less certain, but she acknowledges that Andrew knows his brother better. Willow and Kennedy arrange to have Zach released and Willow works with Zach to restore his real memories - confirming that Tucker is the real apprentice.
Meanwhile, Bones' team and Agent Booth are read into magic being real as part of a team up with the Watcher's Council to capture Tucker. They're skeptical at first, but eventually convinced. Takes more to convince Brennan than the rest and Angela actually already knew (to no one's surprise) but they all come around. They're relieved to find out that Zach isn't actually a serial killer's apprentice, but it's unnerving to find out what magic did make him do and believe he did.
Since Andrew can identify Tucker's magic the best, he's the one in charge of reversing the effects of Tucker's magic on Zach. The two wind up getting pretty close and eventually there'd have been a Zach/Andrew ship going on.
Willow and Kennedy would have been on point tracking down Tucker, reinvestigating the various Gormagon crimes. Tucker became the man's apprentice around the same time he started messing with Zach's mind. Tucker likely sought Zach out in order to use him to keep an eye on the investigation. He wanted to use Zach for more, but Zach fought back because he wouldn't hurt anyone and especially wouldn't kill anyone. Which is why he ended up hurting himself instead.
Tucker would have started killing again after Zach was cleared and eventually there'd have been a confrontation where he'd attempt to use Zach against Andrew and it winds up backfiring on Tucker quite badly. He's either caught and stripped of his powers (or has his powers locked or something like that) by Willow... or his magic backfires on him to the point where it kills him.
I actually do have a few scenes of this written somewhere, but I stopped being interested in Bones after a while. I think if I were to ever rekindle my interest in the show I'd revisit this plot, though. I like the idea of Andrew confronting his brother and seeing in Tucker where the road Andrew was on with Warren and Johnathan (and briefly the First) might have led him if he hadn't decided to take the opportunity the Scoobies offered him and become a better person. And Zach deserved a much better outcome than he received.

It takes nine months before the coma finally comes to an end. Eobard is sure there's a metaphor to be found in there about rebirth and rising in the face of adversity, but he sees it more like those video game characters who sleep in at the start of the game and then are rarely allowed to stay at an Inn by the player for the rest of the game. Barry's going to be having a hard time sleeping this next year because Eobard's going to be putting him through a carefully collated 'boss rush' over the course of the next year.
... was he using that term correctly? Barry might not sleep well over the course of the next year, but he'd still be allowed to rest and recover between meta fights, so maybe it wasn't...
Eobard was clearly spending far too much time with Cisco Ramon. He didn't used to know anything about video games and now he knows that a boss rush dungeon is a thing. What is he doing with his life?
From Timeless Nonsense a fic I will eventually polish up enough to finally start posting. The whole thing is basically a crack fic where Barry wakes up from his coma well aware who Eobard really is and actually trying to help Eobard out... because Barry realizes that what Eobard wants isn't really what he needs. And with the future of the Speed Force at stake - the far, far, far, far future, admittedly - Barry needs Eobard on his side. Whatever it takes.
It'll be Eobarry - which fits with the crack theme - and the fact that their relationship is somewhat unhealthy (understatement, I know) for Barry is part of what pushes Eobard to actually try to improve himself. So it's a silly crack story... but also crack taken seriously? Admittedly, I haven't gotten far because I'm more interested in my Eobard vs Eobard series. Herobard is more compelling to me than redeeming Eowells right now.
Occasionally we debate on illustrating random bits from our Discord PMs that we find really funny but then we remember that we're, like, the physical embodiment of the "ace that makes sex jokes" stereotype and phrases like "iterator dick discourse" would both be remarkably difficult to illustrate and probably require us drawing something at least somewhat NSFW (we do not particularly care to learn how to draw this)
I’m always paranoid of my tumblr being deleted or malfunctioning or something like that someday, so here’s other places to find me/follow me, just in case lol

Eobard stared at the young man in the hospital. The unconscious young man who'd been struck by lightning at the precinct the night of the accelerator 'accident'. The young man who should have been Barry Allen.
He wasn't Barry Allen.
Scrubbing a hand across his face, Eobard took a deep breath. Looked through the window into the room beyond again. Still wasn't Barry Allen lying on the bed in there.
Edward Thawne, Eobard's ancestor and namesake.
Sighing, Eobard supposed he must have inherited his genetic predisposition towards becoming a speedster from somewhere. Though he didn't even want to ask Gideon about his family tree right now - it was likely in a shambles and it was sheer luck preventing Eobard from being erased from existence on the spot.
From the fic I'm writing for @goldheartedchaoticdisaster where Eddie is a speedster. This is from not too long after the accelerator went kaboom and Eobard is having a self-pity fest.
It's a self pity fest that, quite frankly, is still going on nine-ish months later when Eddie wakes up.
🌈 Share something soft/fluffy from your WIP.
From the same WiP as above:
Putting that future phone call out of his mind, Eddie added the phone numbers for Dr. Snow, Cisco, and Dr. Wells to his phone and then, he turned to Barry. "I don't suppose you'd be willing to head to my place with me? I'm not really ready to be alone."
Barry just nodded and reached over to squeeze Eddie's shoulder gently. "I'll stick around for however long you need me."
Eddie blushed, just a bit, and managed not to say 'forever, then'.
Not a super fluffy moment, but some soft comfort when Eddie needs it. Everything is pretty overwhelming to him right now and Barry is about the only person Eddie knows at the moment. He doesn't know why Barry showed up; right now Eddies just grateful Barry's there.
Some of the touches are separated or not based on editor’s discretion. If Andrew keeps his hands on Neil, it stays one. If he intentionally moves to be touching Neil more than he was, or if he pushes Neil away and gets into his space again, that’s two. In the car, the elbow and resting on Neil are separate because Andrew isn’t conscious for the elbow.
If you saw my original post on this, I definitely said 19 times. Don’t worry, I just can’t count. I caught a couple extra moments as I was going through and fleshing this out.
There are some incidental places where Neil theoretically touches Andrew, mostly when Andrew is hurting him or bothering him. I just don’t feel like counting those in the same way.
Andrew Touches Neil
Chapter One
1
He was halfway through the locker room when he realized he wasn't alone. There was someone waiting for him in the lounge between him and the front door. Light glinted off a bright yellow racquet as the stranger took a swing, and Neil was going too fast to stop. Wood slammed into his gut hard enough to crush his lungs into his spine. He didn't remember falling, but suddenly he was on his hands and knees, scrabbling ineffectually at the floor as he tried to breathe. He'd puke if he could only manage that first gasp, but his body refused to cooperate. The buzzing in his ears was Wymack's furious voice, but he sounded a thousand miles away. "God damn it, Minyard. This is why we can't have nice things."
"Oh, Coach," someone said over Neil's head. "If he was nice, he wouldn't be any use to us, would he?"
"He's no use to us if you break him."
"You'd rather I let him go? Put a band-aid on him and he'll be good as new."
Chapter Two
2
“I don't need to be persuasive," Andrew said, putting a hand to Neil's chest as the elevator slowed to a stop.
"You'll just learn to do what I say."
The doors slid open behind Neil. As soon as they’d parted enough Andrew gave Neil a small push. Neil tripped backward into the lobby.
3
Andrew shoved past him, bumping him from shoulder to hip, and headed for the door.
Chapter Four
4
Andrew left the goal to meet him but stopped with one foot on Neil’s racquet. Neil tried to pull it out from under him, but he didn’t have the strength. He was even less successful in his attempt to push Andrew off, and that hurt so much his vision crackled black.
“Get off my racquet.”
“Make me?” Andrew said, spreading his arms in invitation. “Try, anyway.”
“Don’t tempt me.”
“Such fierce words from such a little creature,” Andrew said. “You’re not very bright. Typical of a jock.”
“Hypocrite,” Neil said.
Andrew gave him a thumbs-up and pushed past Neil. Neil tried to catch himself before he tipped over, but his hand wouldn’t hold his weight. He fell flat on his back and didn’t even try to get up.
Chapter Six
5
“You waited for us,” Andrew said with feigned surprise. “A liar who practices occasional honesty. Clever. Keeps people guessing. Very effective. I would know. I do it myself, you see. Come on, then. After you.”
Neil climbed into the backseat. Andrew followed him in, sandwiching Neil between him and his brother. Nicky already had the engine going. As soon as Andrew yanked his door shut Nickey peeled out of ther like he wanted to take the asphalt with him. Neil automatically reached for his seatbelt, but one of the brothers was sitting on it.
Andrew sprawled against his side. "After everything we've done for you, you have to start a fight with us. For shame, Neil."
Chapter Seven
6
Neil couldn't leave with Andrew in the way, so he stopped as close to Andrew as he dared and waited for Andrew to move. Andrew did, but only to reach out for Neil with one hand. Neil tensed as Andrew's fingers wrapped around the back of his neck, but Andrew only wanted to pull Neil's head down. Neil focused on Andrew's cheekbone so as not to go cross-eyed and let Andrew study his eyes.
7
“Wake Andrew up, will you? Preferably without touching him.”
“What?” Aaron asked sleepily, rousing at Nicky’s voice.
“I can’t remember which exit we decided was the shortcut. You?”
Aaron answered by reaching around Neil and pushing Andrew's shoulder. Andrew's reaction was immediate and violent. Aaron got his hand out of the way in time, but there was nowhere for Neil to go. Andrew's elbow slammed into his diaphragm hard enough to double Neil up over his knees. Aaron, completely unsympathetic, snapped his fingers over Neil's head at Andrew.
8
Andrew braced himself on Neil's back and leveraged himself between the front seats. He watched until they passed a sign and said, “Not yet. It’s the exit that has Waffle House.”
“This is South Carolina,” Nicky said. “Every exit leads to Waffle House. Still breathing, Neil?”
“Yes,” Neil said hoarsely. “I think.”
Andrew dropped back into his seat and let go of Neil.
9
His sodas had tasted sweet, but this shot was almost unbearably so, and the aftertaste on Neil’s tongue wasn’t sugar. Neil lurched to his feet, but Andrew grabbed him by his hair and slammed him back into his seat. A cruel twist pulled his head back at a dangerous angle, and Andrew slammed Neil's hand flat against the tabletop. Neil lifted his other hand to pry Andrew's fingers off, but Nicky caught his wrist.
10
Neil wrenched his hand out from under Andrew’s, but Andrew gave his head a warning yank. A bolt of heat went down Neil’s neck. Neil hissed in pain and went still. Andrew slid out of his chair and leaned against Neil, letting Neil take his weight while he checked Neil's eyes.
Chapter Eight
11
Andrew reached up and forcibly uncurled Neil's fingers from his mouth. He pushed Neil's hand out of the way and stared Neil down with nothing between them. Neil didn’t understand the look on his face. There was no censure over Neil’s crooked parents or pity for their deaths, no triumph over having backed Neil into admitting so much, and no obvious skepticism for such an outlandish story. Whatever this look was, it was dark and intense enough to swallow Neil whole.
Chapter Thirteen
12
It's fine, Coach," Andrew said, catching up to them. He touched Neil's back on his way by, fingers light enough to give Neil goose bumps, but didn't slow on his way to Kevin's side. He pressed a hand to Abby's arm in a silent demand for her to back off. "Kevin, we're going. Right now, okay?"
13
Neil was lightheaded with nausea. "Shut up."
"What will you do when he finds out? Run?"
"You know I will."
"I know," Andrew agreed. "I can see it. You've got that look in your eye that says you know where every exit to this dormitory is."
Neil turned away, but Andrew was faster. He rocked forward and grabbed Neil's collar, dragging him to a halt before he could leave. He left sticky blood on the back of Neil's neck from his messy fingers. Neil reached back and tried to pry him off, but Andrew refused to let go.
Chapter Fourteen
14
“Oh, he made it,” Andrew said. “That’s interesting.”
He pressed two fingers to Neil’s throat, checking his pulse. When Neil tried to bat him away, Andrew caught his wrist with his free hand. His smile was small and fierce as he leaned forward into Neil’s space.
“Remember this feeling. This is the moment you stop being the rabbit.”
Neil was too startled to answer, but Andrew didn't wait. He slid past Neil, using the weight of his body and his grip on Neil's wrist to pull Neil with him out of the way of the door. He let go in the middle of the hallway and slipped his hands in his pockets to wait.
15
Andrew nudged Neil with his elbow and said in German, "Hey, Neil. Isn't that amazing? Isn't that touching? Look how they weep over you. Ah, such misplaced concern. Tell them you can take care of yourself."
16
Andrew turned to face him. Neil wasn't expecting it and almost ran into him. Andrew dug his fingertip into the hollow of Neil's throat in warning. This close Neil could smell the alcohol and cigarettes on him. It made him think of his mother burning to ashes on the beach. He reached out without thinking and took Andrew's cigarette away. For some reason Andrew let him keep it.
17
Neil said nothing. Andrew hooked his fingers in the collar of Neil's shirt and tugged just enough for Neil to feel it. "I know what I'm doing. I knew what I was agreeing to when I took Kevin's side. I knew what it could cost us and how far I'd have to go. Understand? You aren't going anywhere. You're staying here."
18
Andrew didn't let go until Neil nodded, and then he reached for Neil's hand. He took his cigarette back, put it between his lips, and pressed a warm key into Neil's empty palm.
Neil Touches Andrew
Chapter Fourteen
1
A group of people shouldered their way up to the bar counter at Neil's back, pushing him into Andrew. Andrew didn't budge beneath his weight. He was something solid to lean against, something violent and fierce and unmoving. Neil couldn't remember what it felt like to have someone hold him up. It was terrifying and liberating all at once. His life was out of his control now; he was giving it to Andrew and hoping Andrew would keep it safe.
YAY thank you so much for sending in this ask!! I love talking about my fic and upcoming projects!! If anyone else wants to send an emoji from the ask game for teasing wips/upcoming projects list, it can be found HERE.
☔Is there a fic concept you have that you'd like to just explain and share because you're not sure you'll ever write it? If so, what is it?
Every time I answer this question I get suckered into writing the fic 😂 BUT I've been very vocal about probably not writing this one so here we go: a sequel to (Sometimes) dealing with Fictional!Matty trying to heal and make sense of and understand everything that happened to him. I probably won't be writing this one because I worry it will "cheapen" sometimes and I also worry I won't be able to do the concept the justice it deserves because it's a painful one.
❄️Share a snippet from a WIP of your choosing.
This one is a lot rougher and is probably going to end up going through A LOT of edits before it's final piece is shared with the masses but:
“I cannot believe you did that,” said Matty, the exhaustion, the jetlag, the emotional whiplash hitting him all at once now that he was seated in the backseat of her blacked out SUV. Taylor laughed, she was still wearing her Midnights costume, the dark purple and blue beads glittering in the glow of the street lights as she moved, crossing and uncrossing her legs. Despite the adrenaline high of playing for a sold out six nine thousand person strong crowd, she had to be sore. Matty was sore and all he had done was sit on a plane for seventeen hours, in first class. Taylor was wearing heels. He sleepily wondered if she had only kept them on when they left so that she could be taller than him.
“I’m sorry,” she said, her tone making it clear that she really wasn’t, “The opportunity was just too perfect.”
“You’re so mean to me,” said Matty, leaning over to rest his head on her shoulder, the beads of her body suit digging into his cheek, her skin tacky with drying sweat. He would never say anything but she also smelled a bit. He didn’t mind though, she was larger than life, and flaws like body odor reminded him that she was human and helped reconcile the idea of Taylor Swift who he had just watched on stage, with his dorky friend Taylor.
“There, there,” said Taylor, patting his shoulder in mock comfort, “I think you’ll survive.”
“Not thanks to you,” said Matty, letting his eyes fall shut as her driver navigated the streets of Nashville, the lights of their police escort glowing behind his eyelids. He never thought he would be important enough to warrant a police escort, even though he knew he was just a tag along in this situation.
“Well,” said Taylor, “I have a very nice guest room currently made up for you, and I have it on good authority that your pillow has already been warmed by a certain cat that is going to be very excited to see you.”
Thank you so much for sending this my way and for your continued support! I hope you continue to enjoy my fics and that you have an absolutely wonderful week!
Anybody know what game is playing in the bg of the newest tailstube video?? I can't tell what it is. It looks like a Sonic game but it also looks like NiGHTS???? I think?????
