tbh the length of the timeskip is just kinda mean to me,,, especially with midoriya talking about his class as if they drifted apart. However i am actually a fan of him becoming a teacher!
(also i refuse to believe that izuku wasnt included in the quirk counseling project that the rest of the dekusquad worked on. absolutely no way that all of them could organize it without thinking to invite their close good friend who finds value in every quirk and is great at analyzing and understanding them.)
however, it does imply a fact that i personally find a little funny:
Midoriya is likely the only person in his class with a college/university degree.
Midoriya doesn't really suggest the class drifted apart, only that they've gotten busy. After all, Uraraka and Shoji are both pioneering new social aids around the country. In fact, I can prove they haven't drifted far apart because Aoyama is in the final splash page of everyone together again. If the class had drifted apart, he wouldn't have come back from France.
Fun fact! In the early stages of WIMTBAH planning, I was considering an epilogue taking place in the future where Midoriya was either a teacher at UA or the principal!
The panel showing Uraraka and talking about the counseling had several other 1-A members in it, so I'm inclined to agree that Midoriya was involved

I think the biggest thing I've learnt from the more critical side of MHA is: don't let your favoritism affect your story. I think it's natural that you're gonna like more characters than others. But if it's like noticeable to a point where the audience sees it, it's a big problem. Or if the character is a fan favorite, they'll praise it to sky heaven. The fact that Izuku VS Shigaraki has been oddly side lined so much in favor of Bakugo VS OFA or him rescuing All Might is... weird to me. Like, I get it. He was dead for a year in our time. But... this IS Izuku's story not Bakugo's. Even if Bakugo is a deuteragonist, he's still not the MAIN protagonist. Shouldn't we be shifting more or less to Izuku VS Shigaraki? MHA has been building up their final fight for 8-9 years, and we're oddly all focused on AFO and Bakugo? And for AFO's backstory, I care less for the potato man. Shigaraki is the villain of MHA, not potato man. Such as Izuku is the protagonist of the story, Bakugo isn't. And it's so baffling to me to see MHA twt praise this series to high heaven and just don't oddily notice that Izuku is just oddily fucking quiet through out this fight?? I know he's focused on stopping Shigaraki, but nothing???? Like the Toga and Uraraka and Todoroki Family arcs got all the attention they deserved, so why tf isn't Izuku and Shigaraki?? I understand they were gonna be last, it IS the final battle after all, but it just seems it's gonna go downhill from there.
Plus, how tf is Izuku gonna be able to save Shigaraki?? Izuku is at his witt's end, and Bakugo said he would take care of AFO. Because if it's ACTUALLY Bakugo & Izuku VS Shigaraki. I'll just- I'll be so done. I get the whole "Izuku doesn't have to do everything on his own" but like- Shigaraki literally KILLED Bakugo and got revived from his goddamn blood exploding. (That shit is still funny to me.) like good Lord, can Izuku just have HIS moment??? If all of the cool power ups and cool moments go to Bakugo instead of Izuku, and Bakugo somehow saves the day.
The fucking ending is gonna be ruined by favoritism. Again, this is just an IF. But I felt crazy reading twt's and no one noticing Izuku hasn't said anything of a) Bakugo being brought back to life b) or just reacting to anything. It just seems like Izuku is just there as a device to carry us towards the ending, at this point.
You're right and you should say it.
Mind-boggling how people will look at this shit and still say Horikoshi doesn't favor Bakugou. Like, what? He is 1-v-1-ing the big bad of the series. The villain who killed almost every past OFA user (would also like to add that these are the same users he insulted and looked down on, so if he is the one to finish AFO, that's a slap in the face to every single one of them). The man who incapacitated All Might. The Demon King who's ruled the underbelly of Japan for the past 200 years.
And you mean to tell me that Katsuki Bakugou of all people is his final boss? That's just embarrassing for AFO tbh.
But the fact of the matter is, yeah Izuku's fight with Shigaraki should have been the main event. Instead, it's being treated as a side quest. Hell, it's being treated as less than a side quest as both Uraraka & Toga and the Todorokis & Dabi were given more attention.
It's sad, not only for Izuku but for Shigaraki too. Horikoshi was so close to making him a complex villain, only for all of his character progression from Deika to go down the toilet. He can't be saved because he's been written to be so completely detached from his humanity.
In general, Izuku and Shigaraki should have had more moments together throughout the series. This interaction between them is meaningless because Izuku doesn't understand Shigaraki enough to save him. It's why he's getting frustrated because there's really no feasible way for him to save Tomura. He isn't Eri or Kota who were just kids in danger and who wanted to be rescued.
I hate to say it, but Izuku hasn't had enough development to be able to save Shigaraki. It's not his fault (it's Hori's), but it's true. For him to understand Tomura, he needed to broaden his worldview and Horikoshi hasn't allowed him to do that.
It's an utter disservice to both characters

I finished MHA season 1 so I guess I’ll give my thoughts so far
Overall, I like it. I can see why it’s so popular, and I think the character designs and concepts are so creative and cool. It definitely feels like a love letter to American comic books.
The fan service type stuff towards the female characters is a little icky, but I know there’s worse out there, and it IS a shonen so ig some of that is expected (although I feel like I’ve been spoiled by other shonens that don’t have that weird fan service, like SPY x Family and Cells At Work)
My thoughts on individual characters
Midoriya: Love him. Absolute autistic icon. I’m happy that he gets to achieve his dreams :)
Bakugo: What the fuck is this dude’s problem. Bro is way too obsessed with Midoriya and not in a healthy way. It’s almost homoerotic. This guy is so fucked up
All Might: Also iconic. He’s funny and I like him. Gives off supportive dad energy
Aizawa: Iconic as well, he’s very funny and chaotic. He’s kinda attractive too 🫢. Him showing up to class in the first episode of Season 2 all messed up still was funny
Uraraka: She’s so sweet and helpful, I love her
Iida: Baby boy. Also sweet and helpful. He’s younger me’s type tbh and if I were younger I would definitely have a crush on him. Reminds me of Galekh Xigisi from Hiveswap but if Galekh took the stick out of his ass
Tsu: Froggy
Mineta: I will curb stomp this bitch

OKAY SO i’m almost halfway done with mha by now, and i’ve been thinking a lot about the comparisons it has with assclass (one of my fav series of all time)
and tbh i’ve known assclass forever but i didn’t really think about giving mha a chance before since idk it just didn’t interest me for some reason (even tho i’m a comics fan), and the fandom seemed a little….over the top lmao. so i would see crossover fics and posts and never really get them
but nowwww i’ve watched a fair amount of mha, and i can say that although i love 1-A a lot, they’re missing that little spark of camaraderie that 3-E carried so easily and prominently. it’s hard to describe, but despite how many situations they’ve gone through together, i still don’t get the sense that 1-A is as close as they claim. at their worst, they’re actually kind of competitive towards each other (which would be interesting if addressed given that the role of heroes is a performative and competitive one in mha society). At their best, they’re all friendly i guess (minus obvious outlier bakugo), but it is discouraging how casually rude they can be especially towards deku.
but i guess you can argue that nagisa got the same energy from his classmates, especially in the first half of the series. either way, 3-E has a much more familial feel that i’m used to. definitely a much better unified vibe as well, with the clear cut leader class reps who look out for everyone. as much as i do like iida and momo, they’re not exactly on top of everyone lmao.
that said, mha has much more interesting side characters and antagonists. i’ve actually been comparing shigaraki and reaper 2.0 while watching since they carry pretty much the same role of “abused child becomes villain who holds grudge” but reaper 2.0 was done horribly in assclass. at least mha actually does follow their theme of redemption and goodness (at least so far i guess)
assclass teachers are also 🔛🔝 but like i’m sure everyone feels this way lol. aizawa i used to like you a lot, but now you’re kind of an ass lmao. i just don’t like how he blames the students for things so severely out of their control.
all might however i’m still rooting for. his fight with all for one and what he said to inko made me love him so much (still can’t beat korosensei tho)
in terms of female characters……both series are pretty mid 💀💀💀 if you ask me to choose between main girls tho, i’m choosing kayano in a heartbeat (sorry uraraka bby)

Another fic rec list
This started as a rec list for “well-written fics with feral characters”. It kinda got out of control, and I started questioning “what even counts as feral in a characterization sense”, but hopefully some of these hit the mark. They are all fics that I love a lot and recommend more generally! All of these are gen and mostly rated T, unless noted otherwise:
A Dark Night in Ba Sing Se: ATLA, 20k words, first arc complete, on hiatus. Zuko gets arrested for taking the guard’s swords when he fought Jet at the tea shop, but he will not stay arrested, and further shenanigans ensue. Sweet, funny, excellent characterization, many delightful OC’s that really fill out the world of Ba Sing Se.
Towards the Sun – ATLA, 57k words, first arc complete, on hiatus. Same author as the previous (muffinlance). Zuko becomes firelord in rather worse circumstances than canon. TBH the “feral” part doesn’t really come in until near the end, when it turns out that trying his hardest isn’t enough, so he tries something else. Same author as the above, with really excellent characterization, a humorous kind of narration that will keep you laughing through the tension and heartbreak. Beware the angst in the middle but it gets better!
There May Be Some Collateral Damage – Bleach & HP, 60k words, complete. Ichigo is sent to bodyguard Harry for the 5th year, everything is delightfully chaotic and hilarious.
“I don’t take things from people,” Ichigo corrects her indignantly. “I mean, sometimes I chop them up and set them on fire, but I don’t take them. Stealing is wrong.”
Trust Me, I’m an Alchemist – FMA & YOI, 55k words, complete. Also by metisket. What if everyone in Yuri!!! On Ice had to deal with Elrics instead of Yuri Plisetsky? The answer is mafia connections and secondhand trauma but also more friendship and general shenanigans! Incredibly crack-y premise and the beginning to set it up is a bit weird and confusing but I promise the rest of the fic is 100% worth it. So funny, so wonderful, I re-read my favorite bits of this at least once a week. Technically lots of shipping (this is YoI after all) but it’s all played for laughs/characterization, not particularly romantic. I would post a favorite quote like for the above but I couldn’t choose just one.
Play it again – Teen Wolf (but no familiarity required), 63k words, complete. Same author as the previous two (metisket). Dimension-Travel fix it, Stiles is 200% chaotic but he has a plan and it’s gonna work. The Hale family is alive and so much fun, especially Laura. Also very funny, some romance at the very end but it’s pretty low-key.
What Goes Around – Teen Wolf, 71k words, complete. Kate kills Sheriff Stilinksy as well as the Hales, so Stiles and Peter team up to take out hunters like her in revenge. Unlike most of my other recs, this one is not funny, but it is interesting, and while they’re very methodical about it I think the way it handles “serial killers hunting serial killers” definitely counts as feral. Also this one is rated M rather than T and has Stiles/Derek at some point but I forgot the details.
Subject: A Comprehensive Report – BNHA, 83k words, updates very sporadically. Izuku remains quirkless but becomes the scariest damn researcher. I would call this “feral about investigating.” I love the multi-media formatting of this work and the expansive, in-depth worldbuilding the author contributes to explain how the hero system of canon came to be.
Something Borrowed – BNHA, 130k words, abandoned (for now at least). AFO!Izuku, who personality-wise is pretty nice, but when he goes all-out with his quirk he goes all out. I REALLY love the creativity the author brings to exploring and combining quirks, and how the characters work together to figure these things out.
Mr. and Mrs. Todoroki’s Excellent Day at Hero-Con – BNHA, 5k words, complete. I love “hero cosplays at fancon, trolls fans” as a story genre, and for some reason I haven’t really seen that outside of BNHA? Anyways this is one of the most chaotic and fun versions of this. Features Izuku and Uraraka trolling the entire world and especially Todoroki with utter panache. It’s Izuku/Ochako/Shotou but the shipping is pretty low-key.
Looping Back to the Beginning – BNHA, 10k words, complete. Class 1-A is caught in a time loop so they have fun with it. Featuring pranks, taunting villains, general shenanigans. Probably more “chaotic” than “feral”, but it’s a lot of fun!
Yesterday Upon the Stairs – BNHA, 424k words, complete. Look if you read BNHA fics you don’t need me to tell you about this fic, but suffice to say I think it’s status as the most-read English language work on AO3 is entirely deserved. Izuku is particularly feral in Ch. 7-9 (USJ attack), Ch. 26-27 (final exam), Ch. 34-40 (Kamino Ward), Ch. 50-end (Nighteye internship – esp. 57-59 for the showdown with Overhaul).
Twin Swap – BNHA, 55k words, two complete arcs. Fuyumi and Touya get body-swapped, shenanigans ensue. This is funny and cracky and endearing and more towards “found family feels” than feral escalation, but I’m putting it on here b/c Fuyumi is so done with everyone’s shit, and Dabi is, well, Dabi. Background Dabi/Hawks and Fuyumi/Miruko.
Abolish Private Property - Naruto, 27k words, sporadic updates. “The raging communist SI/OC that no one asked for, or really, deserves.” It’s, uh, very cracky but pretty funny. TBH I much more enjoy the sister fic Sanitize but that is the opposite of feral. Yui suffers no fools but she’s here to bring the wonders of modern medicine (what she can of it) to a preindustrial society wracked by war.
Several Yelp! Reviews of the Bridge~Port Brew Pub – Leverage, 900 words, complete. Parker is just always feral but this is my favorite Leverage fic, it’s fun!!
…and I didn’t end up with any FMA recs on here did I? woops. Uh, I recommend going through metisket’s and silentwalrus’ author pages, they both write great ridiculous Elrics. Mind the tags.

BAKUSQUAD ; katsuki, eijiro, mina, jiro, hanta, denki
including - house, wand (and wandlore), patronus (and patronus lore), blood type and hcs/notes
i'll do fan favourites next, which consists of monoma, yaoyorozu, tokoyami, kendo, tetsutesu, and hastume, then followed by pro heroes/teachers probably
Katsuki Bakugo
house - SLYTHERIN ; prideful, determined, self-preservation wand - RED OAK AND PHOENIX TAIL FEATHER, INFLEXIBLE, 11'' ; fast reactions, adaptable, distinct and varied in magical skill, stubborn patronus - RAT ; intelligent, goal-oriented, hard-working bloodtype - PUREBLOOD notes -
absolute prodigy child but that's a surprise to no one
made the quidditch team first year, he's the keeper for slytherin
^ became team captain eventually
excels in defense against the dark arts
also in potions
not that good at muggle studies but at least standard in everything else
was kind of mugglephobic (what other word?) until the third year aha
his parents design quidditch team uniforms and I just think that's neat
gains and loses the most points for his house
---
Ejiro Kirishima
house - GRYFFINDOR ; chivalry, resilience, comradery wand - HAZEL AND UNICORN HAIR, STURDY, 12'' ; emotionally stable and in touch and faithful, consistency patronus - IRISH WOLFHOUND ; reserved, patient, great inner-strength bloodtype - HALFBLOOD notes -
Gryffindor beater (w/ tetsutestu)
quite good at DADA, bad at charms
surprisingly good (but doesn't excel) at herbology
friends with absolutely everyone
was the one to fix bakugo <3
excels in care of magical creatures
knows the passwords to all four dormitories because he just has so many friends
if house unity was a person
#1 hype man for all
---
Mina Ashido
house - GRYFFINDOR ; brave, adventurous, nerve wand - YEW AND THUNDERBIRD TAIL FEATHER, SPRINGY, 9.5'' ; fierce protector, eccentric and danger sense, powerful but difficult to master patronus - LION ; bravery, heroism, caring of others bloodtype - HALFBLOOD notes -
Gryffindor chaser (HEAR ME OUT,, chasers gotta be swift and agile okay)
bad at most subjects tbh, better at muggle studies and fair at charms
goes to astrology with uraraka but does not understand anything
her reflexes are amazing but her wand shoots out the most random spells
slowly getting better at DADA
metamorphmagus
---
Kyoka Jiro
house - SLYTHERIN ; clever, self-reliant, perfectionist wand - BLACKTHORN AND UNICORN HAIR, SPRINGY, 8'' ; warrior, kind, loyal and consistent, faithful patronus - LEOPARDESS ; fiercely protective, bold bloodtype - HALFBLOOD notes -
in the school choir
slytherin chaser (again, swift and agile)
lots of control over her broom in the air (like, a lot)
besties w/ shinso (both not pureblooded and in slytherin)
detests the fact that she has to play music on a record player and not her phone
good at divination ? that feels right for some reason
crap at herbology
---
Hanta Sero
house - HUFFLEPUFF ; sociable, optimistic, honest wand - LAUREL AND BILLYWIG STINGER, WHIPPY, 13'' ; honest, powerful, laziness to an extent, loyal and light-hearted, playful patronus - MINK ; mischievous, crafty, protective bloodtype - HALFBLOOD notes -
I feel like he's that one upperclassman that every kid has a crush on for some reason
hufflepuff beater
actually really good at herbology
kinda bad at divination
has at least one detention a week
it would be more but he has quidditch practise :(
---
Denki Kaminari
house - HUFFLEPUFF ; kind, trusting, tenacious wand - DOGWOOD AND DRAGON HEART STRING, FLEXIBLE, 8'' ; quirky, mischievous, playful, fall short in diligence and flamboyant, adaptable, strong in power patronus - DRAGONFLY ; joyful, light, strength in heart, elegance bloodtype - MUGGLE BORN notes -
hufflepuff beater
is only doing good at muggle studies (for obvious reasons) and care of magical creatures
failing most other things
especially potions
loses the most house points out of everyone in hufflepuff
friends with everyone
absolutely everyone
never remembers the dorm password so sits outside until someone lets him in
(he writes it down and loses the paper)
I'm sorry but denki would be a roadman :(
at least before hogwarts
---
group notes, or err headcanons ?!
broom races,, inside
bakugo is always like "no you guys don't do that" then joins them and wins
sit at each others tables despite the rules (usually slytherin because bakugo is,, bakugo)
the yule ball with them was so chaotic
jiro and denki bonding over muggle pop culture
bakugo being confused at everything they say because what the hell is shrek.
at least once a week they all have detention together, or they would but now they're separated across 6 different rooms to stop anything from happening
denki and sero sending each other (and bakugo) howlers at breakfast just to mess with the other
that's all I got but feel free to add on :D

Can i pretty pleaseeee have a iida x childhood crush reader who acts like kenma? Maybe the scenario could be maybe iida talking to class 1-A a story about him and reader going trick or treating when they were younger and they had a whole adventure ,while the reader is just playing videogames? Drink your water!✨
Yes of course :))I love this idea (and I’m a massive simp for iida so 😌). I’m drinking water 😌 so you better drink your water also 💕
Also quick authors note: I really am so so sorry to anyone whose followed recently or sent in a request. I was kinda on a hiatus and lacked motivation to write. With the new year I hope to stick to writing more. Even though I have a bunch of requests from my hiatus please, if you have a request send it in so I can write more and have more motivation 🥺
Iida x reader who’s also his childhood crush scenario!
-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-
Pairings: Iida x reader
Scenario: Iida and the reader are childhood friends and iida isn’t so subtle about his crush.
Warnings?: none fluff!
Tumblr media
“Long term lovers” ~~ Iida imagine
“Alright everyone... I’m tired today so I’m gunna let the class rep decide what you guys do today” you hear suddenly as Aizawa walks in the classroom as he’s saying his famous “I’m tired” excuse. “Aren’t you always-.... and he’s asleep” you hear Momo say from the back of the class. Without even a second to spare everyone starts having their own conversations. Kirishima and Denki were trying to have a conversation with Bakugo who looked like he was going to throw one of them (probably Denki) through the window. You turn your head a little to the back of the room, opposite of you and see Momo, Tokoyami and Shoto. All seemed to be doing class work. Tokoyami was reading a huge book, well over a couple hundred pages. Shoto and Momo were talking but they looked like they might of been comparing notes? Shoto had his notebook on his desk but Momo was leaning towards Shoto with her notebook in her hand. Both were reading from Momos notebook with a puzzled look. Uraraka who was to your right leaned diagonal from her desk to talk with Midoriya who was right in front of you. It seemed they might’ve been talking about different Pro hero’s with Froppy occasionally butting in but you didn’t care enough to listen.
Iida loudly stood up from his seat behind you and started to the front of the class. You knew Iida, you’ve known him since you both were toddlers, you knew he was going to make you do work. Unfortunately for you today was a big day. A new game was being released and you were hell bent on buying it. So you brought your switch to school with hopes Aizawa would be tired (like he always is). As Iida walked by you grabbed his uniforms sleeve and tugged a little. This was your way of telling him you wanted to say something but there was either too many people around or you didn’t want others to hear you, kind of like a toddler with an adult almost. He looked down at you kind of puzzled with a little hint of worry when you did this then he leaned down so he was at face height with you and turnt his head so you could speak. “Iida im not feeling great today... do you think we could have a chill day?” You whispered in his ear, anxiety already rising. Apparently he could tell because he looked down at you hesitantly then sighed. You were so tunnel visioned on getting Iida before he had gotten to the front of the classroom you hadn’t realized all eyes were on you and Iida apparently everyone was waiting for Iida instructions.
As Iida walked behind the podium everyone’s eyes quickly followed him (to your relief) “okay... this is a one time thing” Iida said sternly. “Today we’ll just have a “chill day” I suppose we could tell funny stories” he says questioning himself almost. From your peripheral vision you saw everyone looking around the room, some were nodding or shrugging. Everyone seemed content with that. Out of no where Denki yells “WOAH LETS -“ he didn’t get far before Bakugo knocked him on the head. You quickly turn your gaze to Iida expecting him to start scolding Bakugo but you noticed he was looking at you. Quickly he changed his gaze to in front of him and coughed, you could’ve sworn he was blushing a little. “Well I guess I could start...” he sounds unsure. “Why don’t you tell us about your favorite memory?” Momo asks encouragingly from the back, you looked back and saw a small smile on her face, seemed she was genuinely interested. When you focused your attention back on Iida he looked so happy, his eyes were bright and he was smiling the biggest smile. You reached in your bag and took out your console to start it up. “I think I’ll tell you about the time me and y/n went trick or treating when we we’re probably 12 or 13!” He said cheerfully. Not taking your eyes off your console you smiled a soft smile.
“God we’ve been friends since we were born” Iida chuckled “ the first time our parents let us go trick or treating by ourselves we thought we were so cool” Iida said shaking his head ignoring the scoff that came from Bakugos desk. “ anyway we prepared the whole day, we forgot to sleep. When it came time to trick or treat y/n was tired... we probably didn’t walk a block before they were complaining so I had them get on my back haha I basically gave them a piggy back for miles before I realized they fell asleep” still looking down at your console a blush of embarrassment filled your face, you were glad your hair fell around it because you definitely felt some eyes on you waiting for a reaction. “That’s so precious” you hear Momo whisper from the back of the room “of course as soon as I realized I brought them back to my house, my parents wound up calling their parents and they just stayed the night in my room and I was forced to spend the night with my brother but I didn’t really mind” Iida smiled “of course you wouldn’t care , no ones going to complain about their crush sleeping in their bed” Bakugo leaves a snarky comment. When you heard that you stopped looking at your console but didn’t stop looking down, you were trying to listen.. as if looking at your game impacted your hearing. “I- crush? Well I don’t know about that..” Iida stammers “oh come on Iida, the way you talk about them and the way your face glows..” Momo cheers, hands clasped in front of her. soon your face was beet red and you now kind of hoped you had paid attention to Iida instead of play a game. “That’s enough....”Aizawas sleepy voice croaked from the ground. “Stop tormenting the class rep” Aizawa said Getting up from the ground, his nap was over and he was about to start something but you knew Iida and you were going to have a conversation after school. When no one was around
Post Authors note: I’m not a fan of this tbh, im so disappointed in myself for this one. I’m trying to get back into writing after a long break so please forgive me. Also if you have any requests my ask box is open and if you liked this considering giving it a heart?🥺

What do you think UnO chatacters’ favorite anime characters would be?
Imo John would definitely be an Eren Yeager apologist.
Sera I can imagine her liking Nana from Nana or Re-I Mayer from Ergo Proxy
Blyke would be Goku, duh
Isen..probably Conan Edogawa but I can also imagine him trying to be a lil edgy and saying that he is jUsT LiKe Izaya Orihara (lmao). I think he’d also watch a lot of harem anime lmao. I actually imagine his favorite character being neither of the ones mentioned above and instead it’s some monster girl waifu with huge honkers.
Remi..probably Naruto. I’d say Makoto Naegi from Danganronpa considering his whole “all loving hero” persona would be perfect and the overall message of the series but I feel like it’d be tad bit too dark for her to enjoy.
Arlo is difficult but I can see him relating to and liking Mion Sonozaki from Higurashi. She is very community oriented and a tad bit too loyal to her shitty family/has issues breaking free from their traditions and values and often even reinforces them. Another one I can see is Haruka Saigusa.
I will have to take your word on it, anon. I haven’t watched any anime, aside from MHA and I haven’t finished MHA yet😅. But I did do what I think the character’s fav MHA characters would be!!🍿🥤🍭🍬🍫🧋
Seraphina: Tbh…I think she’d kinda like All Might bc of his strive for perfection, like how he wants to help as many people as he can and how upset he got when he couldn’t save everyone.
John: I think he’d like Shigaraki or Shoto Todoroki. I think he’d relate to both of them bc of their relationships with their quirks. Shigaraki thinking that he can only use his power for destruction and his bad past with using it, and Todoroki not wanting to use his fire power and struggling with viewing his fire as his own.
Arlo: Hear me out…I think he’d like Deku or Uraraka. Like they’re both sunshine characters and the two people we’ve seen Arlo closest with are walking sunshine.
Remi: I think she’d like Kirishima (and maybe Toga). She’d like Kirishima bc he’s got good morals and he’s really determined and just wants to help people. I think she’d be more of a Toga sympathizer than a Toga fan (if that makes sense). Like Toga had a bad childhood and she seems like she just wants a family and I think that’d get Remi in her feels
Blyke: I think he’d like Bakugo (obvi not ep 1 bakugo). He’d probs relate p heavily with Bakugo bc their abilities are similar and they both struggle with insecurity and thinking about how they’re not good enough
Isen: Present Mic. Like they just both have chaotic vibes and Isen just constantly quotes Present Mic (he’s so quotable, i do it all the time lol) I think he’d also like Hawks just bc Hawks is a kinda cool dork

Hori teeling the intervwei hori arca might be ending soon wa shonestly a huge mistake, if this arc truly is not the startign point of the final - cause now everyone belives it and are upset and yeah, if it truly would be startign point I get that, having part of the final arc be around a bunch of pro heros most people aren't as attached to would be very meh and just, not good. No matter how popualr they are. I'm, just not sure what to belive cause i seen people say it will still take a while , while other say no this the end. But I also fell like hori probaly needs to established how the other studnets have grown while deku was gone even if that can be handel in like 2-3 chapters, doesn't even have to be long but yeah.
well tbh i think its more at the fault of fans for, like they always do, jumping to conclusions. horikoshi said we were entering the final act, final acts in manga can take ages. both naruto and gintama took what, 200 chapters and several arcs? horikoshi's own editors reiterated this, and said to look forward to it. these chapters seem to be doing really well in japan, and the top 3 heroes + all might are all rather popular characters, i'd say moreso than most of class 1-a.
if people truly believe this is the end and the final arc, they've clearly been missing the hints of how deku himself is rushing this, and how this is very clearly going to turn out horrible if he does manage to find afo and shigaraki. he only has 45% at his disposal, not to mention the extra quirks which he has a variety of how much he knows abt them. we can tell this isnt the absolute end because, theres still so much left unanswered. horikoshi even said in the latest interview that students like uraraka, shouji, monoma and shinso will all be important at some point, uraraka described as a "light of hope". even sero has been said to have a cool moment planned, to me that spells that we're not as close to the end that everyone thinks.
and horikoshi isnt even exactly wrong - he's bringing everything together for the finale, just at his own pace. he's setting up.
we'll see the kids eventually, deku just, needs his time for once

Mhmm head hurt. Do you have any hcs for my blorbo that i can toss about in my brain for the next hour i'm stuck in this hell school
He really like sweet things and mint, can’t stand bitter things like coffee or dark chocolate. Carries candy canes on him all the time because they help him de-stress. Big Studio Ghibli fan, cried the first time he watched Ponyo and Totoro. Didn‘t get to watch many movies as a kid, at Christmas 1-A does a movie marathon to introduce him and Eri to the classics. Thinks Deku’s stupid t-shirts that say t-shirt are hilarious. Has a Mirko stan Twitter account, and an Endeavour hate account. Spends ages in the morning making sure his hair is parted properly because it looks stupid if it isn’t. Used temporary hair dye and did some makeup on April Fool’s to confuse everyone. Works in a coffee shop for a while after graduating, baffles many because why is this rich boy pro hero working in a coffee shop? (He decided he needed to get some more perspective, see what the average person’s life is like, and so. Coffee shop) He’s a fuckin dork who quotes old poetry and you can rip that out of my cold dead hands. Geography nerd. Just generally a nerd tbh. Cannot cook for the life of him but is useful in the kitchen for keeping things warm or cold. Do not ever hand this boy a knife he does NOT have the coordination for that. Ambidextrous, and it does not matter which hand he uses his writing is a mess regardless. Tsu teaches him to knit. He likes making people sweaters. Makes kitten mittens and a cat hat for Shinso when he joins 1-A. Tries and fails to learn to sew. Sometimes accidentally catches on fire when he’s flustered. Does the leg bounce thing when he’s anxious or trying to concentrate, and furrows his brows just a little. Biromantic demisexual. Adores cats, will very gently hold and stare at them in awe. Seems put together but he is an agent of chaos, the Dekusquad collectively has half a braincell and it is Uraraka’s 90% of the time. Sometimes he wakes up and chooses violence, and will inflict bad memes upon anyone who speaks to him. Shoto Todoroki wears the ugliest fucking button ups on the planet and nobody knows where he gets them but he wears them like they are entirely normal shirts even though they are Not Normal Shirts. In possession of more than one pair of Crocs, unfortunately. He is invited to girls nights because he is very chill and has all the gossip on everyone. Likes painting his nails. Frequently seen with little tiny braids in his hair because someone got bored and ended up playing with his hair. Can do makeup, including the sharpest goddamn eyeliner you’ve ever seen. Very much not a morning person, he’s completely out of it until 9am at least.

My Hero Academia for the meme
The first character I first fell in love with: Deku! It sounds a bit dorky to say the first character I was introduced to was the first one I fell in love with, but Deku is just a really likeable protagonist. I think it does a lot of legwork for him that he sacrifices so much to be able to use his powers the way he does, not to mention how much he had to work to get them in the first place. I think his passion for heroism kinda carries over to the audience quite easily like that.
The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Todoroki. I remember in season 1 I was like 'wait ik he's the one everyone loves but he's kinda just standing there in the background atm' but then the hero tournament and development he got in season 2 absolutely sold me on him. I'm not huge on how they're handling his relationship to Endeavour now the latter is the Number 1 Hero, but hopefully they'll make Endeavour have to sort of make up for what he did to Todoroki and his family as a child in the end.
The character everyone else loves that I don’t: Bakugou. Back when I was on season 1 I absolutely hated him bc he was just an utterly abusive jerk to Deku all the time. I think they did a good job of taking him down a peg after that though, and now he's a bit more played for laughs and treated as a big egomaniac I can enjoy him more, though I still don't like him as much as a lot of fans do.
The character I love that everyone else hates: Idk how much people hate him but they've finally sold me on Tomura. That episode that develops his backstory and how he became a villain in season 5 was great and actually made him sympathetic and interesting to me in a way he never was before. The only thing I think is a shame about it is that we didn't get it sooner, really.
The character I used to love but don’t any longer: I do still love him but I will say it's a shame Iida has been pushed to the sidelines a bit in the newer seasons given how close he was to Deku and Uraraka early in the show.
The character I would totally smooch: Tsuyu! That froggo deserves all the love.
The character I’d want to be like: Jirou, she's a rocker and her outfits are a total aesthetic.
The character I’d slap: Mineta. It's not often there's a right answer to that question in a series but I don't think anyone's gonna argue with me on that lmao
A pairing that I love: It's a thruple but Iidekuraraka (if that's what those three's ship name is) is great imo. I don't tend to get that into the shipping side of fandom but I think I can see the appeal of Kiribaku, Tododeku, Momojirou and Kamijirou (they could be electric buds!) as well.
A pairing that I despise: I don't really have any NOTPs but I don't get Bakudeku tbh. I can get into Baku as a sort of comedically OTT and arrogant character but not as a love interest to Deku.

Analysis on the MHA Girls
(Part I: Uraraka & Momo)
I know that the fandom tends to dislike these queens and push them aside, and I know Hori doesn't really know how to write women, but what he has given us is great and I wish the fans would appreciate these awesome ladies more. So here's an analysis for my girls, I wanna do an analysis on the three musketeers (broccoli, popcorn, & candy cane) so that'll be posted soon too :)
Uraraka
BEST. GIRL. I love Uraraka so much, she is the reason why I started watching MHA and she's such a sweetheart, I wish she wasn't so hated amongst the fandom.
We first meet her as this wholesome, bubbly girl who saves Midoriya from falling, and it's pretty clear that she's gonna be the main love interest. Honestly, I was a little disappointed during her first few scenes. Like I said, she was the reason why I started MHA, and she turns out to be the typical sweet girl the main dude has a crush on. I didn't have high hopes tbh. What first intrigued me was when she admits her reasons for becoming a hero. You would never expect the innocent girl-next-door love interest to be doing something for money. Even she herself says it's "such an unwholesome motivation" in comparison to Midoriya's and Iida's reasons, and she gets praised for "looking out for herself." This is the first misconception I see often on her character; she wants money for herself because she's poor. If you look into her reasons, she just wants to make money for her parents, not for her, so that her parents can take it easy. She is just as selfless as Midoriya and Kirishima, but I don't see her get praised for her selflessness nearly as much as for those two or other characters. I also really like the small flashback they included; her father tells her to not worry about them and to follow her dreams. Whether at the start Uraraka truly wanted to be a hero or solely did it for the money is up for interpretation. I personally think she started solely for the money, which I'll get into after I talk about the Sports Festival.
Uraraka vs. Bakugo is one of the most emotional fights in my opinion, and it's one of my favorites. EVERYONE in that stadium underestimated her. I'm not going to say that the reason was because she was a woman, but rather, Bakugo is pretty ruthless and powerful, where as she is not, and people knew that. The fact that she was a "small young girl" just added more fuel to that, if that makes sense. And this best girl did what she could to prove EVERYONE wrong. This is where Uraraka proves that she isn't a typical sweet shonen love interest and I wish people took notice in that. People think of ambitious, determined, driven, cunning, and powerful women as dark and mysterious, femme fatale so to speak. But this fight shows that Uraraka, a pretty extroverted, kind, and bubbly person, is all of those qualities, just as ambitious and determined as the strongest male characters in the show, such as Bakugo and Todoroki.
And when she loses the fight (after basically passing out btw, queen didn't stop until the very end), she doesn't just mope and quit and wait for encouraging words from her love interest, she 1. GIVES the encouraging words TO her love interest and 2. she understands that her quirk alone isn't going to be enough to get her to the top, so she carefully chooses a hero agency where she knows she will be taught combat, AND SHE LEARNS. The next time her class is attacked by villains, she single-handedly takes down one of the more dangerous members without a quirk, just with the fighting skills she took the time to learn.
Back to what I said earlier, Uraraka started her hero journey solely for money. This plays directly into her development in seasons 3 and 4, which is criminally underrated. She sees her entire class working harder than ever, and even though she's dealing with unfamiliar emotions, she decides to push those emotions aside to not fall behind, determined to be a good student and hero like her classmates. During the events at Shie Hassaikai, Uraraka finally learns the true environment a hero works in. Failing to save Nighteye, she realizes that what she truly wants for herself isn't money or Midoriya, it's being a hero who saves people. I believe Nighteye's death directly ties into the "who protects heroes when they need protection?" line. This recent chapter in the manga makes me think that she's gonna do something big and go through a character arc. I said this on Twitter and I'll say it here, I want Uraraka to become a hero who protects heroes (whatever that could mean, it has a nice ring to it lol). Honestly, her character has sm potential, I'm excited for what Horikoshi has in store for her.
Momo
God is a woman and that woman is Momo Yaoyorozu. I'm tired of people calling her annoying because of one episode, as if you've never had self-esteem problems before 🙄 so now I'm going to talk about why she's amazing 😋
My initial impression of Momo was the typical smart girl, stern, formal, and aloof, but still caring. And as I rewatch the series, I believe this is what Horikoshi was going for at first. I think her voice was deeper in the first season too. As much as I love the Erza type of characters, I love where Horikoshi ended up going with Momo. As a teenage girl, I find the arc she went through during season 2 very relatable. It's obvious that Momo was raised to have full confidence in herself. While she may not show it like Bakugo does, I think it's obvious that she's not used to losing, she was probably praised for having an amazing quirk growing up, like Bakugo, but is a way more humble about it because she was raised differently. So at the Sports Festival, she experiences losing, seemingly for the first time, in a place where she just can't afford to lose. But she does. And this takes a huge toll on her.
She's rich, pretty, the top student in class, and admired by her peers, but obviously that's not what mattered to Momo. What mattered to her most in that moment was looking good in front of agencies, what mattered most was to be a worthy hero, and she feels like she's failed. She seeks guidance from a female hero, hoping to have a female role model guide her through issues she has as a 15 year old girl, but instead finds herself being used for her looks. Again, Momo doesn't care about any of that, she just wants to be considered a worthy hero, and her defeat at the Sports Festival made her completely lose the confidence she needed to accomplish that goal.
Now we have the Yaoyorozu Rising episode. Fans who hate her often refer to this episode as "evidence for Todomomo", "her being annoying by not knowing what to do," etc. etc. etc. 🙄
I like Todomomo. It's a cute and healthy ship. There are WAY more Todomomo scenes, not in this episode. Todoroki is a side character in Momo's story in this episode. This episode is MOMO'S. Sorry but she’s not sharing the spotlight. I know that seems a little aggressive, sorry, but this episode shows a lot of development in Momo, and it just gets brushed off as Todomomo content when it's not. She did know what to do, btw, she has a plan. She didn't know how to communicate that. She didn't want to communicate that. She was scared that her plan wouldn't work. She was scared that she'd fail. All of that stems back to her defeat at the Sports Festival, she has lost a major amount of confidence, and Aizawa and Todoroki notice this. Aizawa even says that her actions are of a normal 15 year old girl's, and even though he wished to help her, he couldn't, so Todoroki does it in his place. This is something I notice about Momo that is one of the most relatable things I've ever seen in a teenage girl in not just shonen, anime but just in fiction in general: she knows she has a good plan, but she doesn't have confidence in it until someone else gives her the validation. Upon seeing that others trust her, she regains her confidence and fulfills her plans with excellency. She is a REALISTIC 15 YEAR OLD GIRL which is honestly SO refreshing to see in a work of fiction. It's what I love about her character: she represents many teenagers, girls, boys, and theys alike.
And yeah, it might've been annoying if she had stayed the "has good plans but only executes them if she gets the validation from others" type of character. But she doesn't. By season 3, she has shown a significant amount of growth. She is shown to be more of a leader now that she's more confident in herself, and she's still dealing with it (that one scene with Sero & Jiro 💀), but she's gotten a lot better after realizing her worth, after realizing the trust others have in her, after realizing that others see her as an intelligent leader. So in the forest, she quickly comes up with a plan and executes it quickly. Had she not done this, had she not thought and acted quickly, who knows how long it would've taken before the heroes found Bakugo.
Another thing I want to mention before I finish Momo's section- at the hospital, All Might calls her a worthy hero because of her actions. It was her inability to act quickly at the Sports Festival that made her doubt her worth, and it's her ability to act quickly that makes All Might see it. I think this plays a major role for her character, maybe why she ultimately decided to go on the mission to save Bakugo. She's gonna have some of the spotlight to herself during the Joint Training Battle.
I also want to mention something from the manga, if you don't want spoilers then don't read this part.
Some of Midnight's last words in the manga are "Yaoyorozu's going to make a fine leader someday," which shows how her peers and mentors alike notice her potential. Additionally, she proves this statement right by quickly coming up with a plan to stop Gigantomachia. I'm very excited to see how Momo develops into an even more inspiring leader as the manga continues.

class 1a yt channel pt.1
cmon we all know 1a can and would have a yt channel they are all traumatised kids who need a distraction from all this villian stuff. NOW ONTO WHAT THEY WOULD POST ((ill write more later but i dont want this to get to long- also i dont know how to write stuff under the cut LMFAO someone help me out))
kaminari
him and sero would definitely do prank videos together and accidentally start a dorm wide prank war that gets the teachers involved
6 second videos of him sparking people randomly throughout the day in a compliation
live streams himself marathoning pokemon in his spare time and randomly points at pokemon and says its someone in his class and the people who watch draw him literal fanart hes a class favourite
WOULD post a video at 2am titled “help me do these math problems please its due today” then delete it when he gets the answers so no one finds out
bakugou
did NOT like the idea at first and still barely posts but when he does they get so many views
does workout videos ft other people sometimes
live streams the dorm game nights so he can show off his constant wins but ends it the second he loses something
video of him aggressively bullying his kidnappers and giving them mean nicknames is iconic
satou
dorm bake off is a weekly series that brings in the most views for the channel ((might do a whole post for this tbh))
people banned from dorm bake off include- midoriya, kaminari and ashido. do NOT let this disaster trio anywhere near the kitchen without supervision or else satou will have a heart attack and bakugou will explode the dorms
also makes wholesome baking recipe videos by himself!! uraraka comes in sometimes to show how to make meals on a budget
midoriya
hero analysis, duh. he had a yt channel when he was younger that had some videos but thats a closely guarded secret
him, kaminari and ashido meet in the kitchen sometimes to make their own baking and cooking videos as a way to rebel from being banned from bake off but its always a disaster. the fans love it.
30 minute video of him just telling people in the lov how they can use their quirks for good. and being like BLS BE MY FRIEND BUT STOP THE VILLIAN STUFF OR ELSE NO FRIENDSHIP. also politly asks stain to stop sending him fanmail
videos with eri and kota!!!!! he got the first time they called him “izuku-nii” on camera and the amount of happy tears in that video PLEASE
todoroki
YOU ALREADY KNOW HE HAS A CONSPIRACY THEORY SERIES WITH CONCRETE EVIDENCE AND EVERYTHING.
brings in midoriya for his “all mights secret love child” theory and he looks so sure of it the whole episode. meanwhile midoriya is a blushing mess yelling defiantly the whole thing
small videos of him comparing stuff to endeavour. like “theres a broken, covered in rust bike- endeavour is that you?” just random ruined stuff=endeavour. no one understands apart from midoriya and he loses it whenever todoroki uploads
him making cool ice structures is something he does on live and lets the viewers request what he makes
uraraka
makes budget videos!!! how to style on a budget, food with a budget, anything you need with a budget and shes got you covered with a video
likes to go around and make people float randomly and make compliations out of it, her and kaminari are quirk shenanigans buddies
also likes to post videos of her kicking ass from training since some people STILL have the nerve to call her weak after her loss in the sports festival
series of her stealing snacks from other peoples snack cabinets, whenever she posts a video with her successfully stealing again you can hear someone in the dorms scream in anguish while she cackles
i have so many dorm yt shenanigans this is only the first 6 characters. be ready for more of this mess

My Hero Academia- My Unwanted, Long Ass Ramble That Absolutely No One Asked For......
So being at home 🏡 due to mostly COVID-19 and a crumbling economy, I decided to rewatch all of my favorite animes, from Bungou Stray Dogs, Inuyasha, Demon Slayer, Fairy Tail and finally My Hero Academia. Once again I was entranced by the bright colors, spectacular animation and lovable characters that Kōhei Horikoshi-Sensei created. But coming to the end of the recent Season 4 a revelation came to me: I just don’t like Deku as the main character 😱.
I know. I know. I must be certifiably insane not to love such a cinnamon roll, with his cute freckles, messy green hair and 1,000,000 megawatt smile. But it’s true. I have no interest with him as the main character. After this new discovery I decided to think why I didn’t like him and the reason was simple: he’s predictable or rather his story is.
From the on set we were told that he’s going to be the greatest hero ever. Every arc that he’s been in he comes out on top with a new increase usage of his power. After finishing Eri’s arc I was just like ‘huh, is it going to be more seasons of this?’ Now for those of you thinking well you just watched the anime, you should read the manga.....I read it religiously every week. It doesn’t matter where I am or what I’m doing you can bet I’ll drop everything I’m doing just to read and re-read that chapter; find myself on tumblr and read all the fan theories and musings about said chapter. So i know what’s going on in the manga and once again I just like meh he’s going to be on top anyways why should I bother getting invested 🤷🏽‍♀️
Tumblr media
Dammit Deku don’t look at me like that 🥺.
I still love him and I am proud of how far he’s come but I just can’t find it in myself to get hyped up for him.
So who do I get hyped up for? Well I’m glad you asked ( I know you didn’t but here it is anyway hehe)
Bakugo Katsuki
Tumblr media
The gremlin of Class 1-A. King Explosion Murder. Future Number 1 Hero (I wish). Before anyone can finish asking who my favorite character is in MHA I’ll blurt this angry boi’s name. There’s just something about that drew me in from the very first episode/chapter. Yes he was a JERK, bully and ok he was an absolute asshole to Deku but there was something that kept me thinking I want to see more of this asshole. In the beginning, I thought he was going to be another Sasuke type character: join an evil group at the first chance, battle the main character throughout and eventually find his way back to being good and I was like meh. But then the Sports Festival arc happened and I was oh, this boy’s got potential so I took off my Naruto googles and started to really looking at him. If I’m honest, the first time I saw him as a hero was during his fight with Uraraka. I got so hyped during that match that I was standing and cheering, tears in my eyes for the both of them! When the spectators started to complain about Bakugou being too rough with Uraraka I was about to throw hands with fictional characters. Then when Aizawa gave his speech about Bakugo giving his all and respecting Uraraka and I was sold.
Since then I’ve been an avid supporter of his. During the Kamino arc I was worried but also impressed that he was able to go up again members of the League of Villains and was smart enough to realize that he was holding All Might back from going all out again AFO. His fight with Deku was emotional and I was a sobbing mess. Him going through the Hero License arc with all that guilt showed me his determination to being a hero. Even though he wants to portray that he doesn’t care about anyone but himself, he shows time and time again that he cares about Kirishima, Kaminari and Sero. He’s observant with Todoroki and Endevour during the Support Courses. He pushes Deku. He has so many layers as a character that I want to know more about him. Do I think that maybe he should’ve been the main character, yes I do. But I’m ok with him being a support character as well. I can’t wait to learn more about him and to see him be the amazing hero I know he’ll be.
Uraraka Ochako
Tumblr media
Ok this girl right here 👆that’s my sunshine girl and no one is allowed to mess with her. Got it?? Seriously, I love this girl. She radiates warmth, hugs and pure unadulterated happiness. Just something about her face just makes me happy and I just wanna squish her round cheeks. Ok ok I’ll stop.
But seriously she is such an underrated character. I know for a fact she gets a lot of unnecessary hate because one: for being Deku’s love interest (I’m not really invested in their relationship tbh but if it happens I’ll be cool with it) and two: her reason for being a hero is to make money. Funnily enough the reason why she’s most hated by fans is the reason why I love her so much. She’s a young girl from a poor family who just wants to make her parents happy and I relate to that so much it made me want to cry when I first learned of her reasoning. Out of all the characters in the MHA world I connected with her the most. In addition, what I admired about her is that yes, she does have feelings for Deku but she’s able to put them aside and follow her goals. Like damn it who wouldn’t admire that? Who can’t relate to pushing their feelings aside to accomplish their goals? I seriously love this girl. Also, I love that she doesn’t limit hereself. When she started U.A. she wanted to be a support hero because of her quirk but after her fight with Bakugo she saw the potential to be more and she took it, trained and made herself better. She really is an inspiration. I hope we get to see more of her in action and maybe even lead a fight instead of being support. I can’t wait to see her grow and blossom into a badass ass woman who kick your ass while looking like an angel sent from above.
Shigaraki Tomura
Tumblr media
Finally, this crusty boi gets me so hyped whenever he’s on screen or in a manga chapter that it’s probably unhealthy. From the very first time I saw him at that bar with those creepy ass hands covering his body I was intrigued to say the least. Every time I see him, I’m silently (not really) begging Horikoshi-Sensei to give me more of him. There was just something about him that screams more.
Fast forward to the Villain arc (one of my favorites tbh) and we learn more about his history and what he had to endure and dammit I just wanted to hug him. It’s so easy to hate the bad guys for hurting people but do we stop to think about who hurt them? And my boy was hurt a lot.....from his family (the ones who were supposed to protect him), the heroes (whose literal JOB IS TO PROTECT PEOPLE!), AFO (don’t get me started on that creepy bastard). And then suddenly I was supporting the villain. A part of me wants Shigaraki to succeed because if he does the hero society will admit their many flaws and idk maybe get rid of the hero vs villain Society that caused problems for generations 🤷🏽‍♀️ just a thought. Honestly if Shigaraki was the main character of this story I think it would’ve been much more interesting. I would definitely like to see more of him and I really want him to shake the hero society to the core.
So there it is.... my unwanted, unnecessary (if we’re being honest here) ramble about MHA. What started as a post about not liking Deku as the MC turned into......this. I’m sorry 😭. But once again I’m not hating on Deku. I love my little broccoli boi and I’ll be supporting him until the time he does indeed become Number One (maybe I’ll get myself a pair of red sneakers to match Deku’s before that happens), but there’s so many more characters that hold my interest other than him. I wish I could’ve listed them all but frankly I’m tired and hungry and I need to take a shot of something after this week’s chapter because Oh My God!!
Anyways, if anyone made it this far down my post, thank you for reading, please don’t be mean and have a great week!

Now that you watched some of BNHA, any Zutara headcanons for that universe? What about a Bakudeku and Zutara double date?
Oh, oh, oh! I got so hyped when I first saw this ask!
Tbh, I’m not really into crossovers, but once my brain started to form a plot for a possible ATLA/BNHA, I just couldn’t stop! I hope you don’t mind that I included headcanons for the rest of the GAang in that universe, I’m just one of those people who needs to outline hella lots before start writing.
Before all, let’s settle everyone’s Quirks:
Katara’s Quirk: Hydro-generation. Her skin produces clean water instead of sweat and she can manipulate it at will. The downside of it producing too large amounts of water can make her skin dry out.
Zuko’s Quirk: Shapeshifting. Zuko can turn any part of his body into the one of a dragon.
Aang’s Quirk: Aerokinesis. Aang can produce large tornadoes with his mere breath, yet, the overuse of his Quirk causes asthmatic reactions.
Sokka’s Quirk: Armament. Sokka can make his limbs to transform into any weapon that he desires.
Toph’s Quirk: Geokinesis by touch. Toph can control any piece of Earth that her skin comes into contact with – that’s why she usually walks around barefoot.
Suki’s Quirk: Assimilation. Suki can get knowledge on her opponents fighting move by analyzing their muscular memory when she touches them.
Azula’s Quirk: Fire-shapesifting. Azula can turn herself and her body parts into blue fire and manipulate them at will, but she must gather herself completely before returning to her human form.
And because this has proven to be fun, Mai’s Quirk: Mai can turn her fingernails into knifes. Ty Lee’s Quirk: Flexibility, she can bend (no pun intended) her body and limbs into any position without impediments from her bones or muscles.
And now let’s get to the interesting part!
Katara, Azula, Mai and Ty Lee are a second-years in U.A. (tho, in different classes, thank God) while Suki, Sokka and Zuko are seniors, and Aang and Toph are still in Junior High.
Katara first befriends Uraraka when they meet by chance one day at school and hit it off.
Azula, Mai and Ty Lee start bully Uraraka for hanging out with Katara while being an underclass and Katara comes to Uraraka’s defense. A fight ensues, and all the five girls are called to the faculty’s office.
While waiting outside the office, Uraraka’s friends from class 1-A sneak out to check on her because she never gets into trouble.
Katara does get into trouble, (especially when it involves defending someone from mean girls Azula, Mai and Ty Lee); that’s why her brother only comes to call her crazy once again.
Zuko goes to scold Azula and check on Katara.
Deku recognizes Zuko as the nephew of the now-retired famous hero The Dragon of the West, and starts ranting about Iroh’s signature attacks with his fire breathe.
Katara, Zuko and Sokka also recognize Deku because, seriously, who doesn’t?
Uraraka explains the situation and introduces class 1-A to Katara and, out of everyone, Bakugou (who insists that he isn’t their friend, he just stuck around) is at first rude towards Katara, much to the others’ embarrassment.
Zuko steps between Katara and Bakugou’s hostility and the two boys don’t do much aside growling at each other and butting heads.
Looks like Bakugou just won himself a new rival.
Now Deku is the one who steps between the two of them.
Class 1-A is in awe of Zuko because his Uncle is pretty much a legend in the hero business, much to Bakugou’s annoyance.
Sokka tries to redirect the freshmen awe towards himself, unsuccessfully.
Deku goes on full fan-boy mode once again and Uraraka gets him out of it before he gets too carried away.
Katara giggles at Deku’s enthusiasm and Uraraka’s care and says: “You two sorta remind me of me and my friend Aang.”
A few days later, Momo organizes another study party and Uraraka asks if Katara can come with, to which Momo agrees. Katara asks if she can go with her friends and, (although everyone is a little weirded out that Suki is choking her own boyfriend into a headlock), they agree.
When all are gathered together, Katara notices Bakugou’s rudeness once again and his dismissive attitude towards everyone, including Deku, and the latter’s sadness over this.
Katara asks Deku about it and Deku tells her a little of his story with Bakugou and confesses his crush on Bakugou and how it hurts being rejected even as a friend by somebody you care a lot about.
Katara takes on the task of consoling Deku and telling him about her relationship with somebody that she cares about, who used to be really mean as well, but turned out he was just lonely.
Deku is mesmerized by how emotional Katara’s voice gets when talking about that person. She tells him that the person she means used to push everyone away and did some things he shouldn’t have done, because he thought he had something to prove. She indeed tried to reach out to him and she thought she had succeeded, only for him to give her back to her again. She was hella mad at him after that. But their relationship developed and improved slowly and now she can’t imagine her life without that person. Relationships sometimes take a whole lot of a long time to build themselves and then heal whatever wounds they need to heal, but if it’s meant to be then it’ll be.
Sadly, their conversation is cut short by a banter between Zuko and Bakugou that escalates way too quickly.
After this, Katara makes her best to become closer to Deku…
… She also enlists her friends help to spy on Bakugou and find out if he likes Deku back.
Zuko asks why they should waste their time with someone like Bakugou.
He shuts up after a warning glare from Katara’s part.
Toph is excited about the spying and – although Aang does not want to be a hero professionally and wants to be just a normal person because of his pacifist ways – he still wants to help his friends.
They all follow Bakugou around campus taking note on his moves and his attitude to see if he actually likes Deku or not.
When reporting to Katara (the brains of the operation), Toph says that every time he sees Deku, Bakugou’s blood pressure and heart rate become so high she’s surprised he hasn’t had a seizure already.
Unbeknownst to them what their new friends are up to, class 1-A gets a group assignment on one of their not-hero-related classes, and Deku and Bakugou are paired together. They have to go to the mall to buy materials for this new school project and Bakugou acts his usual irritable self all day.
Small world! They find Zuko and Katara walking on the same mall hand in hand!
Katara asks what Deku and Bakugou are doing at the mall, Deku explains their assignment. Katara says she is in a similar situation because she was paired with Azula for a homework but Azula refused to go anywhere with Katara, so Zuko offered come with her instead.
Katara excitedly suggests they walk around the mall together and doesn’t waits for Deku’s answer before dragging him away.
Zuko and Bakugou follow reluctantly after glaring at each other.
They go through the stores and Katara and Deku seem to have a good time together while Zuko and Bakugou stay behind, but Katara convinces Zuko to join a bit more.
Deku admits he was surprised to find out Zuko and Katara were dating when Zuko’s sister is so mean to Katara. She recalls what she told him earlier, relationships are messy, but when something is mean to happen it’ll happen.
Zuko is overall a good boyfriend, noticing the things that catch Katara’s interest and involving himself in the fun when she wants him to.
While going through a comic book store, Deku starts ranting on his knowledge of all heroes and, on the distance, Zuko wonders if there’s one hero Deku doesn’t know about.
Katsuki is quick to answer that there isn’t, Deku knows everything about all heroes that there are and will be. He used to write down his observations on tons of notebooks over the years.
Zuko comments on how cool that sounds and that those notebooks must be gold. The mention of the notebooks makes Bakugou to remember the one that he burned and threw away, making regret to twist his insides.
Even while things are relatively calm, Bakugou still carries his attitude problem with him, and does not pay attention to Deku.
Takin him away, Katara confronts Bakugou on how he should be nicer to Deku. Bakugou answers that nobody tells him what to do. Katara says (on full threatening-Katara mode) that apparently someone does now because if he doesn’t pays more attention to Deku, then Katara will use her water to freaking freeze off Bakugou’s hands until his every finger falls so he will never be able to use his Quirk again. (Showing no mercy to your enemy is a burden you have to bear in order to become a real hero.)
Katsuki fearfully looks at Zuko for confirmation. The latter just nods enthusiastically.
Katsuki complies and glues himself to Deku’s side. Deku notices how out-of-habit attentive Bakugou has been acting, which prompts Bakugou to look over his shoulder to meet Katara’s murderous stare.
Even tho he did start to pay more attention to Deku because of Katara’s threat, Bakugou slowly gets more and more comfortable around Deku, almost without noticing, and has less and less of a problem standing close to Deku doing just nothing. Just… watching Deku.
The four of them keep wandering until they get hungry so they all go to the Jasmine Dragon (Iroh’s new cafeteria in that same mall.)
Deku is over the moon when Iroh comes out to receive his nephew, his girlfriend and their new friends.
Their lunch goes on just fine until they hear an explosion and they discover that the mall is being robbed and attacked by a super villain.
The kids jump to action before anyone else, of course.
Deku compliments Katara and Zuko’s hero costumes and names (The Painted Lady and The Blue Spirit.)
The battle is hella intense, but the kids manage. Everybody is impressed that Bakugou and Deku work so well as team by this point.
Even with how exhausting the fight is, the four are having fun together. It’s especially surprising that Bakugou and Zuko are having such a good time fighting side by side.
Things escalate until the kids can no longer hold back the villain by themselves, so Iroh interferes.
He defeats the villain singlehandedly, obviously.
Tho, he does congratulate the kids for their moves and performance.
With the situation handled, Katara and Zuko praise Deku and Bakugou for their heroism during the fight, and Deku proclaims how amazing Katara and Zuko are as heroes.
Zuko surprises Katsuki by saying he did pretty awesome during the fight, too.
Katara says she and Zuko have to leave now, but it was fun! The four of them should have double dates together more often!
