'I'll make Seb's life a misery' Lewis Hamilton discusses rivalries with Sebastian Vettel and Nico Rosberg and reveals why he will NOT join Ferrari [part 2/2]

In the second of our two-part exclusive interview, Lewis Hamilton talks with SunSport’s Formula One man Ben Hunt

While Hamilton is battling against Vettel for the title, he no longer has to fight it out with his former team-mate, Rosberg. The two had known each other since they were kids, but their relationship turned toxic at Mercedes, and when quizzed if he was happy Rosberg retired, Hamilton added: "It has not made things easier for me but it has made the environment a better place to work in. When you remove a negative and then replace it with a positive, it is like having a circuit-board and you have a bad fuse, that’s the whole frickin' unit gone. When you replace that fuse, the whole thing works again. I am still pushing myself to new limits. He could be here and I’d still be driving like this and he knows it. It’s like when you have been in an unhealthy relationship. You only stay in it because you love that person. It is not until that relationship ends and you get further down the line you realise, 'Shit, that relationship was not good for me.' We are now positive as a team. The hurricane that was built within this team is now blowing towards Ferrari." If he wins the title here in Austin, or next week in Mexico, Hamilton will equal the four titles held by Vettel and Alain Prost; however, he would become the only British driver to achieve the feat and this will cement his place as the nation’s greatest. Sometimes in his post-race interviews his sincerity is missed, but Hamilton says being a British-born four-time champion would be incredibly special. He said: “It definitely means a lot. What does it mean to me winning a fourth world title? It is difficult to say until you have got it because you don’t know how you will feel. It is a strange sport, because people complain and say that I’ve won it because I’ve got a great car, but every single world champion has a great car. It is not like tennis where it is down to the athlete. Here, it is down to the team. It is about the driver being able to exploit that complete package. But to take a step ahead of the other great drivers in Formula One, I would be very, very proud. I don’t know if you even notice but when I am on the podium and when I look back and see the British flag, I am very proud of it and I hope people see that. It is a very humbling experience."

Adult Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck as astronauts as Apolo 11 Crew (Neil Armstrong, Edwin Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins) - Space Race - Ducktales 2017 - Ducktales in Space

Since I drew Donald Duck as Yuri Gagarin and Della Duck as Valentina Tereshkova as the first men in space, then the parallel of the first men on the moon could have something to do with Huey, Dewey and Louie from Ducktales 2017. And I drew the three of them as Apollo 11 astronauts who were the first to walk on the moon (allegedly), but here they are no longer children, but adults. I don't usually draw adult Huey, Dewey and Louie, so this is my first time doing it and I did it with the Ducktales 2017 version, but in my own style. Yes, I redraw the poses of astronauts Neil Armstrong, Edwin Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins who led the Apollo 11 crew in the Saturn V rocket from July 16 to July 24, 1969, with July 20 and 21 being Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon and were the first people to walk on the moon and brought great pride to the USA and to all mankind.

And this is where Huey, Dewey and Louie grew up, playing the role of the Apollo 11 crew and who will be the first ducks to walk on the moon. Yes, although they are different, they all together have their tasks in space. Huey as an explorer of new unknown frontiers and a scientist, Dewey as a pilot and coordinator and Louie as a businessman who finances it all, but they are all astronauts together. Like like their mother and like their uncle. And they are in spacesuits (Apollo/Skylab spacesuit) which are mostly white, but I colored some parts according to them.

Also happy belated birthday to Huey, Dewey and Louie and may the guiding stars guide them to endless adventure and their destination! Happy birthday to Yuri Gagarin and happy birthday to Valentina Tereshkova, the first people in space! Yuri Gagarin was born on March 9, 1934 and was the first man in space, while Valentina Tereshkova was born on March 6, 1937 and was the first woman in space!

I know it's been a while, but I'm posting this bearing in mind that today is also Donald's birthday (in addition to June 9). I certainly love that both Donald and Della in the cartoons and comics love space travel and that they are both astronauts and I would love to see more stuff like that about the two of them as well as the Duck family going into space. Yes, Gagarin also means duck.

Lewis Hamilton is ready to inflict three more years of pain and misery on Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel. The Brit is on the verge of winning his fourth Formula One world title and can clinch it today at the United States Grand Prix in Austin if he wins and Vettel finishes outside the top five. Hamilton took a swipe at the German, who famously crashed into him at the Azerbaijan GP earlier this season. He also reveals the truth about his feelings on the shock retirement of his ex-Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg, who he labels "negative." Hamilton delivered his verdict on Vettel’s actions in Baku after biting his lip for four months. He said: “How Sebastian behaved in Baku and what he does has no bearing on me or how great I can be. I know where I stand in terms of being a competitor to him and I think he knows it, too. There is always respect. I don’t think, 'You did this to me.' It’s not important. It goes back to when I was a kid. I’d get a lot of racism. I wanted to knock the kid out who said stuff, but my dad would always say, 'Do your talking on the track. Beat the kid and that is more powerful.' Actions speak louder than words. Win the championship and that will silence him." Hamilton is poised to agree a new three year contract with Mercedes worth an estimated £120million, despite having fourteen months still to run on his existing deal, and while he has made no secret of the fact he is a fan of the Italian company’s supercars, he says he is out to make life a misery for their F1 team for the duration of Vettel’s contract. He said: "I do see the red car and I am a fan of the company and the brand. It would be an honour for any driver to race those cars, but it has not been an option. If Ferrari wanted me, they would have approached me. I want to work with people who want me. If they don’t want me, it is no problem. I am happy to make their life a misery for the next few years. Sebastian just re-signed, so for me and Mercedes, our goal is to make him and Ferrari unhappy for the next three years!"
