I know I make this post every leak night but genuinely wholeheartedly if u want a shonen that believes abusive fathers don’t inherently deserve forgiveness and actively does want to tackle the systemic issues it creates one piece is in fact Right There. Hi nonny! I don't think so. At least not wholly.

The western fandom's quieted down but the eastern fandom is still appears to be going strong! If there's one reason to join Twitter it's to follow artists that aren't anywhere else, and it's worth it to keep the love flowing.

There's been drops in activity, and I think the reason is a multi-faceted one. Yes the series ended, but for a show of SNK's caliber, that didn't used to matter. I've commented on this before–and at the risk of sounding like a boomer– I blame binge culture, and more specifically, Tiktok, for playing a big role in how quickly fandoms die.

Even 5, 6 years ago, it didn't matter if a show was over; people kept the party going. A piece of official art or a merch drop kept a fandom fed for months. Now you're lucky for the hype to last a week. FmaB ended in 2010 and it was still hopping three years later when I joined in 2013. It took another four years for it to start quieting down and hell it wouldn't surprise me if it was still going. But now there's been this shift in mentality, and attention spans are shorter and sure we all joke about it but it's a real issue and you see it happen at an accelerating rate. There's absolutely nothing wrong with your interests changing, but I see over and over (at least on the artist side) creators only making stuff for fandoms if it can be profitable to them, and the second it's not they move on to the next big thing as a way to ride the hype and beat the algorithm instead of loving the thing for what it is. And I get it, it's how many make a living so they gotta do what they gotta do. It just unfortunately perpetuates this cycle of fandoms being trends rather than communities.

I will say SNK and Levihan kinda got uniquely screwed though. Due to the last season's (understandable) release schedule and the way it was marketed a lot of people kinda unfairly tuned it out. Add on to that how Levi and Hange's scenes were handled and the fandom didn't get as big a boost as it should have.

But for me, it doesn't really matter how many people are still in the fandom. If Levihan is what I feel like drawing then that's what I'll do :3 Presonally, art is too hard and too time-consuming to spend making something I don't want to. At the end of the day, it only dies if we let it. Which would be a pity because there's still the blu-ray, Shigeki Fly, and Bad Boy to look forward to! 🥳

Kirishima's face falls as he looks towards Bakugou, his best friend, the one he has entrusted with his fearsome burden. He had reached his limit, the weight of his deception pressing down upon him like a whole planet upon his shoulders, making every step a herculean effort. The confession to one who would not falter, one who would ensure he faced the consequences, the very one he owed the apology after everything given Kamino Ward.

And yet when he sees the way that twisted cheshire smile stretches abnormally upon his lips, he fills the pit of dread form in his stomach, fear twisting as his mouth drops open and his form quivers with the tremor as he realises it was all for nothing. That his confession said in stumbled words and heartfelt apologies had not been told to Bakugou, the one with the most reason to condemn him, but the imposter, capable of hiding in plain sight.

He steps from his perch, staggering backwards as his knees tremor and he struggles to stay upright. Stupid Kirishima, so in over your head. "No I... Why you? Why now?" He wished his voice sounded as strong as his convictions had been, but it trembles as the ground beneath his feet vanishes, the safety he thought he had stolen away in the blink of an eye.

Toga liked the look on Kirishima's face, the horror, the sinking realization that he probably would never try this again. It had been very foolish, yet brave of him to confess how he was a traitor. How heartfelt it had been, to bare his entire soul to blasty, to let Bakugo know that maybe he had good intentions and he never meant for anything they've gone through, anything he'd gone through.

And oh, Toga relished in stomping on this dreams, of letting him know that he couldn't escape the League, that the road to hell was paved with the best intentions, but his hands were already marred with the blood of his classmates, their tears and eventually, their judgment. The only winners here ? The League, of course. Because it wasn't the students they were after, it was Hero Society. To tear down the very institution that had casted them out, labeled them instead of trying to grasp some sort of understanding. But ah, just like Tomura said, she could reject them just as harshly as they rejected her and the feeling was euphoric.

❝ ━ Did it feel good to finally get it off your chest ? To tell your most trusted about the weight of your misdeeds ? ❞ A vulpine smile curls across flushed features, eyes crinkling at the corners as she rocks back and forth on her heels. These clothes weren't her style, but they were comfy. Giggling, she moves toward him, knife in hand, not a threat, but a playful gesture as she taps it against Kirishima's chest. ❝ ━ Why me ? Why now ? Because you've been faltering, Kirishima-kun~, hesitating when given orders, buckling when you should be strong. What good is that quirk of yours if your crumble like pebbles off the side of a cliff ? ❞

Her tone is mocking, sing-song as she stares at him, the glint in her eyes sharp, cold. ❝ ━ It's so cute how hard you tried this time, but we warned you.~ and it seems there's a price to be paid. ❞ Bringing her blade back to herself, she nicks her thumb, letting the crimson beneath bubble forth. She revels in the way he shifts away from her touch, but she smears it across his cheek, fanged grin cracking as she slips the photo of his family, so utterly precious and loving, she'd taken hours prior and pressed it to the blood on his cheek, ❝ ━I bet...❞ and Toga leans close when she speaks, fangs gleaming, ❝ ━ They give the warmest hugs, don't they ? Never had my hair ruffled before, but you would've thought I was the cutest teenager they both saw. Couldn't help but gush about you to a fellow classmate, ahhh, I'm so jealous. ❞

'samba music intensifies'

I've been going to a lot of ballroom dance comps lately and I cannot stop imagining my favs dancing along as well. Samba has to be one of my favorite dances and I am dying to learn it. It's just so high energy and most of all it looks so damn fun. I couldn't resist drawing Ed and Winry dancing as well :D

Some more headcanons about the fma crew:

Al likes the contact involved so he likes the standard and nightclub styles best

Ed usually leads but if Winry wants to lead well he's not going to say no, but he is more experienced in leading. The two usually dance Smooth or Latin and they are terrifying in quickstep

Roy only knows nightclub dances until Riza forced him to learn other styles for military events, but he absolutely kills it in West Coast Swing

Riza knows Standard best, though she has less experience in most of the other styles, she's a really good follow and can follow just about anything. She's also a really good lead for Standard and by some extension Smooth

Ling, Lan Fan, and Mei are newer to ballroom dance (sorry guys i may be chinese but idk any chinese dances) but once introduced, well Ling is a diehard for the dramatics and LanFan is usually willing to comply. They start off learning Smooth, while Mei jumps straight into nightclub with Al
